I am coming back to crochet after stepping away for many years. Tried knitting but, for me, didn't supply the satisfaction and interest that crochet does. I am going to try to make this blanket in ivory. Thank you for your channel, videos and patterns!
Love the thought that Mr. BOD will pick out yarn for you. My husband wouldn't do that as he thinks I have to much yarn. My thought you never have enough yarn. Happy Mother's DAY Crystal.
❤Crystal, I am in the middle of your shell blanket of a year ago. It’s so easy and also beautiful. I was taught to crochet by my mother when I was ten years old. Gave it up when I had to earn a living. Now I’m 86 and it makes my day. Your creations are so beautiful and so easy. I want you to know how much I appreciate you and your endeavors! Thank you!!❤
@@wendyhannan2454 just picked up crocheting again after many many years. I asked myself one thing WHY did you stop? Its not only relaxing, keeps the mind stimulated and the world out for a min
@@jamilahabdalrahman5180 Well done, glad you picked it up again. I think it went out of fashion for a time. Then family stopped having babies, as I made a heap of baby blankets. Now I have a great granddaughter, that’s when I thought I’d pick it up again. I really forgot how to do the shell edging 🤔 I agree it’s good for the brain, and good for the hands and wrists, and it’s rewarding looking at the finished product. Thanks for the Tutorial 🙏 watching from down under, Australia 🇦🇺🐨
I don’t know if you’ll have time to read this but I to thank you for all the new stitches you have introduced me to. I’ve made some beautiful afghans. I’m also an animal lover. So what you do is, educate, save animals. I can’t think of anything better than that. Thanks Crystal. Keep it up George
I've only started crocheting about 2 weeks ago. I made this blanket and it was so quick and easy. It's a great pattern for a beginner like me. Thanks for the great instruction.
I began learning to crochet this summer via RUclips and decided it was time to advance beyond single crochet… found this video and it is the perfect segue to something a little more challenging… now I cannot STOP! I love this pattern. Thank you.

Hi Crystal. Who would believe that such basic stitches combined would create such beautiful texture and design. So pretty. You have been working very hard at these tutorials. I appreciate all the work you put into your channel and yarnie peeps. Stay well Crystal.
Love this pattern. I'm in the process of making a blanket with this beautiful stitch pattern. It looks awesome with a great texture. Thank you Crystal for all you super tutorials.
I started crocheting a couple of weeks ago. Very basic stitches. I wanted to make something beyond swatches and came across this. It's beautiful. I really struggled and nearly threw the towel in but i slowed it down to quarter speed and it became a lot clearer. My first row is gnarly to say the least but i'm just perfecting the stitch before i start it properly. Can't wait! Super effective with such simple stitches.❤ Update: 22jan22 i mastered the stitches on my swatch and began my project (my first ever) yesterday. It's a wrap/shawl. Looks absolutely fabulous so far. It looks complicated whilst being simple enough for a beginner to do. I could never get on with knitting. I'm loving crochet. Thanks for the video❤
Crystal, thank you so much! I am in a Christian stitching group called Threads of love. We make items for sick babies in the local hospitals. I am definitely making this one. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

When your tutorials come up I practice the stitches in cotton for wash clothes. This makes a lovely textured cloth.
Thank you Crystal for this! What a great tutorial! I'm only a beginner but I managed to make such a lovely blanket following this. So pleased and so grateful to you. Love your channel and you are wonderful!
Hi dear I want to make a twin size blanket and can you tell me how many stitch I need to make it
I’ve made many Afghans with this stitch. This works up fast. Love all your videos!
This looks like the blanket stitch. It is my absolute favorite stitch for making blankets and blankets are my favorite thing to make.
Thank you Crystal for sharing this pattern. I am making my granddaughter this pattern into a queen blanket in Caron One Pound in color Sunflower. She is a teacher and moving in August to Florida to take a new job. That means new apartment. I am so excited to make this for her. Thank you again. I LOVE your style of teaching. You take time to explain so well. I have Lupus and sometimes I have a difficult time with my brain getting in gear....lol
I made 2 blankets with this pattern, I love it! It's like cotton candy or clouds.I used 2 Lion Brand Pound of love skeins each, one pink for my granddaughter and one blue for my grandson. Thanks for showcasing this pattern in your tutorial! ✌☮☘
Still come back to this tutorial time and time again. So easy and pretty. Thanks as always Crystal 💜🇬🇧
Thank you Crystal - another lovely blanket pattern. I’ve just decided to make some more 24” baby blankets for Princess Evelina at St Thomas’s hospital SCBU in London and this is perfect. Just think how far your patterns travel!
My Mum loves all your tutorials.
This shell pattern is so pretty and simple.
Thank you so much.
This is so simple yet beautiful. Will make one when I finish my project I have going. Thank you so much Crystal.
My grandmother taught me this stitch so long ago. It is one of my favorite and works up so quick. Thanks for the video and reminding me about this stitch.
I love this Crystal, I’m going to make a baby blanket!! Thank you!!
Thanks Crystal, beautiful blanket. You asked what we might like for tutorials. I'm working on 3 blankets right now and was looking for borders to use and I thought maybe different border tutorials and/or even basic stitches tutorials might be view a lot. Any way love all you videos and that I retired ... crocheting is what I fill my days with (includes watching RUclips to learn and plan what's next on my hook) BIG THANK YOU!!
Yes boarders would be great, they give a great finish to a special blanket. Thank you.
Found my next throw! Thank you Crystal 💟💟💟
Hi Crystal, I made a scarf and a king size afghan. I showed my daughter and her boyfriend would like one. You are so good at what you do. Thank you
Thank you for your tutorial. It was so easy to followed and understand as a beginners myself. 🥰 Your blanket came out beautifully! I love that color! I can’t wait to start my blanket now.
Thank you again!
I love your easy to follow tutorials! I made this blanket for my new grandson and he uses it all the time!
Adding this one to my crochet “to-do” list! Thanks Crystal
Me too
I am going to give this pattern a try while I am on vacation next week. Thanks for sharing. I will share when I am finished with it.
Beautiful stitch & color.
Thank you ❤
Thanks for the tutorial on one of my favorite stitches: the Sedge Stitch. I never get tired of it.
Love the texture!
Thank you ❤
I love this pattern. I struggle sometimes keeping my stitch count on things that have really long rows. This pattern makes it super obvious where I should be. Thank you for the very well made and super helpful video.
Oh Crystal! What a gorgeous blanket! I really thought that this was going to be so much more difficult. You explained this so well. This is one that I will have to try! I LOVE it!
Chrystal, this a very pretty blanket
Would be fun to make.will try it after I get the knitting gob done. Thank for you being a great teacher & person.
I really admire the way you do your tutorials . This pattern is so beautiful when it’s made up into a blanket yet grey for beginners on up. The color of the yarn is so pretty too. Can’t believe I don’t have it in my Caron stash lol 😂 ordering now! Blessings and thank you for all you do ♥️
I buy the yarn at micheals when i can get the 30% coupon. I also get seniors discount. My friend buys one and i buy the other one. I use 2 balls for one baby blanket. This makes the yarn affordable.
I am making my grandkids each a blanket. We have 6 1/2. From 7 down to due in November! This is a beautiful blanket that I would love to try!
