My grandmother taught me how to crochet when we were kids, and used to spend vacation with them, and now that I’ve been spending so much time at home due to the current health concerns around the globe, I’ve been trying to remember how to work this craft. I just found your video, and I love it, and love the way you are very detailed in your tutorial. I'm going to try this pattern! =)

This is one of my favorite stitches for blankets. It works for any yarn weight. I love doing it with 3 weight yarn for spring and summer blankets. You inspire me to use a much bigger variety of stitches, but this is my favorite for t.v. tine or road trips. Love your channel!!
What size hook did you use with #3 weight? TIA

Putri Nabilah 29 it depends on the weight of yarn you use, really. For a baby blanket using a worsted/Aran yarn I would say about 1000-1200 yards. I used a sport weight and used about 1600 but it was quite a fine yarn. I’ve also used this pattern in a number 5 bulky yarn using about 1600 yards and made a throw blanket for my couch. But for your purposes I would say about 1000-1200!

how long did it take to make it?
@@brooklinrockey1294 I did it in roughly 6 days I think? I was off work so I did between 3-5 hours per day not including breaks.

I did this in Lavendar. It went fast. Very luxurious looking. Thank you very, very much. Now I am going to make one in Neutrals. Can't wait. About 31 inches. So very sweet of you.

@@SirinsCrochet i had a orange and white tom cat when i was younger. He had one blue and one green eye. We lived in an apartment. When joey started to purr, our neighbor knocked on the wall and told us to keep it down. Joey's purr was that loud.

This is a lovely stitch, if you use a different (2 or more) colours every other row, it's consider The Houndstooth stitch🐝🐝🐝

My cat is is bossy. If I am crocheting, he will meow at me until I stop and pay attention. Sometimes he will knock things out of my hands even. 😂 This is my favorite stitch pattern. The only suggestion I have for you is when you tell us which hook and the length etc. could you please also include the US numbers of the hooks and the inches etc. because in the US we don't use European milometers, centimeters, etc. That would be very helpful. I want to thank you for your gorgeous designs and wonderful tutorials! You do a great job!
Hi Nancy. Glad you like it. I was using inches when I gave the measurement. I always give it with inches. For the hook sizes, I will look for the American sizes. ❤❤

I think this is thr Lemon Peel Stitch... I use it for dishcloths., and it does make a nice, textured baby blanket. The texture is so nice..no holes, which is what you want for baby blankets.
Edited to add thst I have made a bunch of baby blankets,,udingbthecLemonnPeflmStitch, and highly recommend it. I often use a #3 weight yarn..doubled.,,and an N hook.. The results are squishy, soft blankets. Perfect.

Hi Sirin, I struggle with crochet and knit, but I keep trying. I seem to get confused on which row I’m on when doing the crochet blankets, especially when I make a mistake and take out stitches. I had to rip out another blanket and now I’m trying this one. I’m writing down a row number as well as writing time stamps for each new row you do😜 Thanks for all your tutorials!
