They need their own series!! this video makes me feel so seen because I CAN.NOT.COOK. to save my life and this makes me feel like maybe I could?! Which is insane? That dressing looks absolutely delish and the final product looks INCREDIBLE. And of course you and Zach are truly delightful together. And the editing on this video is *chef's kiss*!!
(From your off handed rice comment) making rice is simple. Step one : rinse your rice until the water is not milky in color. Drain the “milky” water ( it can take a few rinses depending on how much starch has built up on the grains ) Step two: (if you don’t have a rice cooker use a pot with a lid ) for 1 cup of rice add 1 2/3 cup of water heat the water on high until it comes to a rolling boil, once the water is boiling lower the heat to low. LEAVE the lid on DO NOT take the lid off until the end. Optional step: add a pat of butter, tsp. of mirin, tbs. of soy sauce to the rice ( any combination of the three work for flavor and help avoid sticking to the side of the pot.) Step three: wait 20 minutes. ( or until the water has evaporated, various elevations play a factor...) Step four: cut the heat, use a wooden spoon and fluff the rice leaving any residual water to evaporate. ( there shouldn’t be much) Step five: plate and serve or store for fried rice the next day,

I think you might have found a great idea for a cooking show, where a common meal can accommodate both persons needs. I need to show this video to my wife, she dislikes salt, I love salt, what a great way to compromise. Usually we just have different things, or as salt after it is cooked as Elizabeth mentioned but as everybody knows, isn't the best time to put in salt.
