- For some reason I got to urge to watch my Fitzsimmons audition, I hadn't watched this round before and I didn't want to watch it on my own 😂🙈. Soooo, I thought we could watch it together?!

Auditioning is by far the hardest part of acting (whether it’s theatre, play, scripted TV, etc.) and you are just so amazing at it!! Elizabeth is a prime example of how you should never give up when going after your dreams.

Simmons is such a cool character throughout the show. I loved how she is so young but has multiple PhDs. I loved how the show set her (and Fitz) up as the underdog, but they always proved themselves and saved the day on multiple occasions. And the way you portrayed her during the FIRST round of auditions was amazing!

This was so cute! I can definitely see the season 1 Simmons in there. I love that you shared the notes because that’s a super important part of auditions that I don’t think a lot of people really think about. It’s not just show up and read, you get the sides (sometimes on site, sometimes beforehand), you wait for your time (or just wait in line), you get time to practice a bit, sometimes you get notes, sometimes they ask you to read again, maybe right away, maybe you get a few minutes. And the whole time it’s super nerve wracking. But you nailed Simmons from the start! The “buttoned up” note makes me laugh though because I actually think that season 1 Simmons is a lot more “buttoned up” comparatively to the rest of the series but she was also definitely super friendly and open (much like you!) which was especially important, especially paired up with a character like Fitz who really was a lot more closed off and needed Jemma to balance him out. But your comments about your clothes really make me think of Jemma’s “above average fashion sense” and so I can definitely see how clothing can make the difference. I always try to dress the part for auditions in some way or another. If I’m doing self tapes for multiple parts I’ll change something about my outfit to differentiate the characters. Hasn’t worked out too well for me yet but...XD I keep trying. Either way, I loved this video. It was so fun and I think it will be interesting to see how you’ve grown as an actress and as a person since your initial experience as Jemma Simmons!

I completely understand your anxiety related to asking people for ... well, anything. "Why would I want to interrupt their lives with my nonsense?" (etc...) So kudos for overcoming that! And of course thank you - if it helps, you can think of it as asking people to do something *for us!* -- you're just facilitating. Also don't underestimate what you're doing for some of these super talented people who rarely get the spotlight. So yes, you should get credit for keeping the fandom alive - this has been terrific! 🍋

I love how you dont edit yourself to come across flawless. There are so many RUclipsrs and vloggers out there who edit out every stutter and every pause- but the fact that (even as an actress) you cant get through a sentence early in the morning like the rest of us just makes the gap smaller and I love it

Agents of SHIELD is one of my top favourite shows of all time, and the actors and characters are a huge part of that. You guys are AWESOME. I've watched a lot of shows over my life (gawd i feel old), but AOS was the one show I kept frantically needing to keep up with. Loved it from the 1st episode, the chemistry of you all was amazing. I can't express how sad I am that it ended. But thank you so much for the many happy memories. Even in my deepest depression, I could look forward to more of my fave characters. Thank you

I forget which season since my memory isn't that good. I was so sad to know it was ending I personally feel it's time hadn't run out quite yet. Anyway Fitzsimmons is my favorite! I got you guys on a t-shirt my boyfriend surprised me and found it on redbubble and got me the first appearance of fitzsimmons (comic)! I loved the framework season but also got depressed when fitz didn't recognize you in the framework i cried my eyes out (maybe also because i get weird reoccurring nightmares where my boyfriend of 8 years doesn't recognize me and has forgotten who i am). one more thing! i looooove when actors are proud of the shows they have been on because i feel like they should be proud of creating something that so many people love.

I love this - this and all your videos and lives! All I see is Simmons and not an audition. I just binged the entire series during iso, and it was the best thing I've watched in a long time. There was a bit of sadness when I found out this year was the end and I had missed my chance to ride on the AoS bandwagon through the seasons. I think there can be a feeling amongst fans of '...what now?' when a show like this ends, and I'm so grateful you're doing these videos so it can live on and discussion about it continues - it helps poor souls like me who just discovered these characters and aren't quite ready to move on lol.. So just - thank you! I'm all for these videos for as long as you're able to do them :)

Ahhhh, the nostalgia. Just loved watching this audition. The acting skills are insane (I cannot act to save my life. Like at all. Prefered to tell people what to do in my old drama classes. So you and all actors are soooo talented in my eyes).
And also, the editing in these videos are just so great.
Elizabeth, these videos have been so wonderful. The stress of knowing whether or not our favorite show would survive to fight another day the past few seasons was super stressful for the fans. We had no idea when season 7 would even air and then covid hit.... Your channel honestly gave the AOS the send off it really deserved with its "small but active fan base" 😁😁😁 and it has given the fans closure after all these chaotic years lol. Thanks for everything!
