Oh my gosh I loved this! I had no idea what to expect for this week’s video but it was amazing! The whole time you were talking about your initial auditions in the other videos I was wondering about the other actors. And I was kinda thinking “man, it must suck to get so close and not make it” but at the same time you said that Adam worked quite a lot afterwards and I guess it kinda shows the realities of acting where you can never go into an audition expecting to get it and just treat it as a learning experience. It is really weird imagining anyone else in your roles though. Like, I looked up Adam because I didn’t know him by name (I did recognize him though) and he’s a bit older than you, which is fine, but it makes for a different dynamic you and Iain as FitzSimmons because you are the same age. And a German Simmons would have been interesting I think but I have a hard time imagining her as American at all. Mostly because I associate you with the role, obviously, and I just have a hard time separating the character from you at any point in the process. I also love the way you described your meeting Iain and wanting to read lines because it really matches up with what I’ve gathered about Iain. In that he is a bit socially awkward and shy until he’s comfortable with people (I’m mostly the same way except I actually word vomit and regret everything). And that is actually a lot like FitzSimmons because Fitz isn’t super great with people but Simmons is very outgoing and personable. And you are the same way. You have anxiety, I think most people do, but you are still very good with people and appear very outgoing. So you are a good pair in real life as well as on the show. I like friendships like that a lot, I’m still trying to find someone to balance me out like that. XD This video was so great! Also, Zach you are thinking of the Mary Kay cars. 🙂
Perhaps the showrunners thought Adam Campbell could also do the season 1 funny bits. I am not sure how well he would have played the later drama/romance stories. It is funny how she then tested with him for another movie and got cast together. Iain did look a bit younger than her at the start of the show and especially in season 2.

And he does look younger than he actualy is anyway so he probably could have played the same age as Simmons but it's just different when there is an actual age difference versus not.
