evangore bro, I will suggest if your laptop is still in warranty then you should contact Asus support and they will sort out your problem for free as far as I know.... But if your laptop is not in warranty then you can easily create a boot up device like pendrive or dvd and change the boot priority from bios settings and then you can recover your Windows and delete that unwanted partition too... Hope it helps And if you don't get any of the above steps then don't hesitate to ask....
evangore yeah I think that your new approach will work fine... And if it doesn't work well then easiest way will be to recover the windows and then start again with linuxmint(usb).

This won't work for me. I tried using my husband's laptop to restore my system, and I would really prefer to have the factory default because none of the drivers are installed for my system. I already tried this and nothing happens when I press F9. It just boots up normally.

Leo Casi problems? Nah mate, there are only freezes that you can turn off in Power Settings, but apart from that it works fine. The problem is the fact, that Sonic Suite 2 is written for Windows 10, and without it you won't get sound upgrade and your laptop will sound hollow

You can also do it in settings. I have a Asus GL502, and currently doing it. Takes a long time ,but revamps everything. Start off fresh.

you can (when the pc is on Windows) click on the button reboot while pressing shift until the menu appears ... that's otherwise it works
