Hello. I've win 8.1. I've C and D partition. Partition D: has System Volume Information folder and recycle bin. I want to reset pc (to win8.0) ... should I delete D drive files? (There are 2 options. Only c or all drives)
I want to still have the factory reset option in the future...
And clean pc (delete many restore points, and files)
What should I do? I don't know if delete D: (system volume information) its important to make factory reset in the future...

no it will not work ,only work existing ssd ,if you change ssd , you need to re-install windows.

Hey when i try to do the reset like in the video. its show me message that i need more space in the drive where windows installed and i need to free space and try again
my problem is that i dont have the password to enter and free space, u have an soultion? i try make keep my files and remove everything. both of them show me the message with no have enough space

No it won't. You need to erase all the backups and restore points and no one knows how. It starts rebooted with only erased files and McAfee
@@ermisg3161 well I decided to do the factory reset (using MyAsus in WinRE option), and after that, I ended up with Windows 11 21H1, complete with all the drivers and Asus apps pre-installed, just as I wanted. later, I received an update to 22H2. although at one point, I did feel like some things remained unchanged but they could just be one drive acting up, I can't recall exactly what those were since it happened 4 months ago and my memory is that of a potato. but i didnt have any old files or any old restore points though

I am not sure that this will reset my C drive only. I doubt it. I have many data in D drive. Please tell me, if i do factory reset, will it reset everything include my data on D drive?
it will wipe out all the data it will be as brand new laptop, much recommended copy your data from D rive to any external drive than do reset.

Hey by removing all the file d drive get formatted or only the c drive
There are 2 options
(keep my files) choose an option if you wish to keep all DATA
other option will format everything from drive and make system factory. (better to take back up in external drive before performing any task)

Apps and softwares installed by me on C drive are gone along with browser bookmarks, but all my data in D drive is intact. All pre-installed Windows 11 OS, drivers and other softwares and app by Asus are also intact. Also got new updates. Thanks for the video.

What can i do to switch on my Asus pc, cause i made a mistake and clicked on "continue to window 11." Where i was given options like " use a devices, Troubleshoot and turn off your pc." So from there the pc shutdown, i switched it on but none is showing on the screen but its on. Please help 😢

Two questions though:
1. At 4:09 when you name your device, must you use the same name as before the reset , or can you use a different name ? No impact on Windows license if you change a different name ?
2. Before doing the reset, if using Onedrive, must you first unlink your laptop from Onedrive to prevent that file deletion due to reset (?) results the files also being deleted on Onedrive ?

their is no link with google drive .

bro will all the wallpapers of asus tuf gaming and nvidia drivers and armoury crate be deleted after this fresh install
you must have to follow all the steps as i have perform task. by doing that you would save drivers which are in built coming with Asus machine
factory reset means as manufacture ship it would be same.
all updates of drivers you have to do it again, hope it will help.

once you do reset your machine will go as factory default setting any update or additional installed software will not be there.
drivers will be there as comes in default machine ( updating and additional software you need to install again
