    Hello. I'VE A QUESTION ABOUT TIME 1:08 . I've win 8.1. I've C and D partition. Partition D: has System Volume Information folder and recycle bin. I want to reset pc (to win8.0) ... should I delete D drive files? (There are 2 options. Only c or all drives)
    I want to still have the factory reset option in the future...
    And clean pc (delete many restore points, and files)
    What should I do? I don't know if delete D: (whete is system volume information) its important to make factory reset in the future...

    So question, would the reset keep the Asus stuff? I'm just looking to get rid of most of the gaming files and around 300 to 400GB of files that I can't seem to find the source of, and would like to completely start fresh with my gaming laptop like the day I first got it.

    • @LIN4EN
      @LIN4EN  2 года назад

      Hey Bradley, what exactly do you mean with the Asus stuff? If you would like to completely start fresh like the day you first got it. Then a factory reset is exactly what you want to do. But if you mean with "Asus stuff" the profiles you created for Armoury crate or similar applications. This will be deleted, except you have an online account you can login to. And its saved in your account. Like nvidia geforce experience or similar programs.
      Thanks for your question

    Hi sir, I am having issues with the programs used to have the laptop before I reset windows, (my armoury crate, nvidia panel, xbox app, my asus, etc)
    I had to reset my ASUS F17 due to BIOS problems.
    I thought once I reset the windows, would have the same configuration in the laptop, but it was not... also all drivers and controllers ares disabled, my TouchPad is not working and I don't know why but WIFI is not available, so I cannot connect by wifi, just using ethernet wire.
    I just followed the procedure that ASUS has to reset windows...
    My question is How is it possible to get the laptop with the configuration that it had when I bought the first time? I mean with the applications already downloaded, Nvidia Geforce working correctly?
    Please help meeee

    • @LIN4EN
      @LIN4EN  2 года назад

      Hey BJGMotors, wow thats interesting. Thats exactly for what the factory reset is for. I am very surprised that you still have issues after the reset. Did something occur during the reset? like an unexpected restart or any sorts of interruptions? How many times did you try to do a factory reset? Just in case i would try it a second time if there was going something wrong the first time. Keep me updated i am sure we can figure it out together.
      Cheers L!N4

      Si te ocurrio despues de restablecer el pc (reset pc) tienes que ir a regedit y cambiar el FeatureTestControl (buscalo con ctrl+F). Cambias su valor 0x0000f000 por el valor 0x0000FFFF
      Despues de ello reinicia el pc y se te verá la pantalla con brillo

      Hey Akshay Pradeep Krishnan.
      So whenever this happens, the first thing you can try is press the Windows logo key , the Ctrl key, the Shift key and B at the same time. This will reset the connection so that the operating system regains the display. Once finished, check to see if you get the normal display back on your Asus laptop.
      If its not going to work, try to connect a seperated screen on your HDMI out, to see if you receive anykind of signal from your graphicscard.
