Even though the Oakland A's are in Oakland 96%of fans are Eastbay middleclass people. They are victims of Alameda County supervisors. They only represent the ghetto while everyone over the hill in Pleasanton , Dublin, and Livermore carry the the idiot class, and support their own demise. Where do you think the criminals that shut down South Oakland by the airport will go next? Sanleadro, its pretty much already done. So thought the Tunnel to Walnut creek or over the hill to Stoneridge, or whats left of it. After 20yrs of Bart its been lost of what we had.

I propose we redistrict Oakland, Berkeley & Richmond into their own county, where their citizens & governments can "experiment" with far-left-of-center policy.
The remainder of Contra Costa and Alameda counties get better, more local governance; the People's Republic of the Yay doesn't have to pretend to listen to people from flyover country anymore. Win-win imho.

Their future is not uncertain. It's for certain that the team is moving to Las Vegas and it's just plain foolish to think anything otherwise. The move was approved unanimously by the other team owners.

I’m a fan in Vegas (in general and highest priority of MLB-overall (no team specifically) and international growth of baseball, due to how that all is best for THE GAME, and then due to my history I’m a fan of 1. Mariners, 2. Dodgers, 3. A’s-and looking very much forward to bumping the A’s to #1 (and M’s way down) if the move goes through due to how (long story) that would be full-circle for me like the Raiders’ move here was). So where do I stand? 1. Vegas will be good for THE GAME no matter what. 2. If it’s the A’s, well that sucks for OAK, but as millions of non-Californians will also tell you, CA and OAK in particular has your blames and priorities all wrong for the myriad of things that ail you, and you just aren’t getting things done there, and (blame Fisher, whatever Commish, blah blah blah all you want) this is just one more sign of that (if it wasn’t, then, at the very least, you wouldn’t have lost the Dubs to The City, for goodness sake), so a solution is needed and most non-Californians will tell you that it it doesn’t lie there the way things are for the foreseeable future regardless of what solutions have already been proposed (if they were so good then they would’ve happened a long time ago, much less by now, for the same reasons alluded to already), so many Las Vegans like myself pledge to be good stewards of the A’s, even though (especially because many of us are also suspect whether Fisher will really put his money where his mouth has been regarding building a new ballpark here) it will take time for the A’s fanbase to grow here, with winning being the crux of that. And, my main reason for commenting: 3. BUTT OUT OF VEGAS’ BUSINESS, STARTING WITH THE “SCHOOLS OVER STADIUMS” MATTER!!! I don’t care how much you want to keep your team (and that’s not what any non-Californian questions, for your support of A’s *baseball* all this time besides all the nonsense going on for decades regarding making an appropriate facility and keeping the team there has nevertheless been obvious (and this is what the mayor of Las Vegas PROPER (which is only a third of the valley land area and population and not even over the area where any of the potential ballpark sites are) meant when she thinks it would be best if a solution could be found there)), but supporting that organization is going way too far, so SHAME ON YOU! That is for Nevadans to decide and support or not in the meantime as WE see fit!!!

Good. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. The Coliseum was the only MLB stadium built since WWII with purely private funding upfront (and one of two in the NFL). If they don't want to honor that heritage and pay for a remodel or new stadium themselves, then good riddance.
I have also met at least one tax-payer from Clark county who told me that him & several other las vegas residents were on Facebook, pretending to be fans from Oakland, echoing calls for the A's to stay in Oakland. They're astroturfing, along with our own local idiots, so that Clark County doesn't get scammed into buying (another) new stadium for wealthy owners (from California).
I get their reasoning - who goes to vegas and wants to sit through a ball game? But they are a wealthier city & county and are carrying way less debt. If the A's want a first world stadium experience, fine, but don't try to build it off the backs of rate-payers in our third world town.
We'll be lucky if they leave without wasting another nanosecond of Oakland/Alameda county's time, cause there are far more drastic issues here our civil servants should be working on instead.

The bigger picture is- baseball is dying.
A’s are just the beginning. Younger ppl are not interested in the sport anymore-that is the major issue here. Bottom 3rd of the league
are struggling financially/not sustainable franchises. Sure, Vegas might be a bigger market
and it might save this particular franchise.
Doesnt change the narrative. MLB is struggling- big time
