- The largest crowd of the season packed the Oakland Coliseum Tuesday evening as A's fans turned out to send a strong message to the team's front office and MLB. Betty Yu reports.
It’s the MLBs fault, they should be recruiting team owners interested in running teams as institutions not commercial ventures
Um. So Marxist Baseball? Sure.
Profits can be made without being greedy pigs or ruining the spirit of a venture, baseball or otherwise
@@user-ts7ns7bt2v what do you think revenue sharing? By your logic Salary Caps, penalties for high salaries and revenue sharing are Marxism.
We don't want them to leave that's our team💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
I’m sorry to say that they are moving to Las Vegas
Knicks and Rangers fans should do the same thing with Jim Dolan.
Good for the fans to show that a community cares about a city team that has been a part of their lives from birth and then passed on to their kids…and how ownership only cares about $ …and not putting money back into the team/facility or the fan experience…owner has to go…Go A’s !! And good luck Fans !!!
Hello.
I'm a lifelong Dodger fan since the mid 70's. I've been riveted by the criminal act by the Fisher/Kaval gangster group. I absorb every news bit on RUclips regarding this terrible act. At the end of this clip I got emotional. I live in the Kern County area, otherwise I would've come up there to support the Oakland fans.
It just came to me that if the A's left and the market became sole property of the Giants, one of the best natural rivalries in baseball would be dead. Here's what I think: The Giants fans and franchise should support the A's fans by doing another reverse boycott where it would take place on an AWAY GAME for the Giants. That way the SF fans could show support and really pack that Coliseum.
The MLB Commissioner ManFraud and the rest of the owners are making a huge mistake by being allowing this to happen. Let the A's go, but make Fisher leave the name in Oakland. Money isn't the problem there. It's Fisher.
Go A's.
There's a reason Vegas is getting both professional teams from Oakland. The city of Oakland is trash and so is the stadium there. Vegas is where it's at. A first class city that can support the team. Too bad these fans in Oakland aren't as passionate about the team leaving as they should be about cleaning up the city. Living in Vegas. I welcomed the Raiders and the same with the A's. No coincidence, both professional teams are LEAVING Oakland. Sorry but true.
@@Dizzyskyline stay classy Vegas. You just called people you don't know trash. Look in the mirror 1st.
@@monica93304 I called the city of Oakland trash, not the people. I fly into Oakland a couple times a year and I'm shocked how bad that city looks. Homelessness everywhere, crime infested, graffiti everywhere, everyone seems to have an attitude. Some people can't handle the truth. Keep voting the same politicians in year after year and you get a city of corruption like Oakland. It's not gonna change anytime soon. It's sad since Oakland has so much potential but open your eyes and take a look on what is going on in that city and CA in general. I chose not to live there for those reasons and the owner of the team choses to not have a team there. You would probably make the same decision if you were him. Vegas can offer so much more and does it well. Come visit us to catch a Raiders and soon an A's game soon.
@Dizzyskyline Fisher is the unwilling partner. He's ripping the roots out of the ground and destroying what's left. He's a grifter and when push came to shove. Never wanted to put half a dollar into the town.
Your politicians are giving Fisher $$$ you don't have for education, after school programs, etc. But, you knew that, and don't care.
I have nothing against Vegas. To me it's boring. It's stuck with Mark Davis and his terrible team. We're going to have to agree to disagree. But your initial comment was a slap in the face to Oakland natives that had their hearts ripped out by a thief. Good luck.
You want a plaque or a medal? Los Angeles stole the dodgers from Brooklyn. You get no opinion here.
there was a famous A's movie called MoneyBall, where them oakland A's used statistics and Data driven models as a result winning 20 consecutive games between August 13 and September 4, 2002. Their A's teams budget of 41M vs the Yankees 125M budget. Yet the A's pulled off the impossible.
What im trying to say is There is history with the A's and Oakland. Thats a fact.
When I saw this movie at 13, it forever had a impact on my life. I went into Statistics, and Data science and earned a Tech job. If the A's never existed, And I never saw that movie. My life would have been different. Glad they are staying in oakland.
Thanks for sharing. That’s so cool and interesting!
My dad watched the dodgers leave Brooklyn when he was 10 years old. It’s sad that yet another rich man is putting his bottom line over the kids. What fisher is trying to do is a shame, something the people of Oakland will never forget
I'd want to get out of California too.
This just makes you want to cry!
I did 😥
We are Rooted In Oakland!!!!
The A's are rooted in Philadelphia... Screw Oakland, if you won't build a stadium for the A's, then you get what you deserve.
@@thornydig You should come to an Oakland A's game and preach your gospel. Philly got the Phillies & KC got the Royals so you can kill that noise
Not for much longer they are about to be in Vegas

Oh man the employees pure joy at the end amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. Hope this is not the end, Sell The Team Fisher, please or stay. Don’t take this away.
I'm impressed let's go oakland ❤
I couldn't root for another team if I tried. After 45 years who else am I going to root going to root for? The Giants? Never!
Agreed I’m done with baseball
@@stefanbrown5872That's the spirit.
Dave Stewart needs to buy the team
Will the Athletics brand or team name stay in Oakland? Like the Browns in Cleveland?
They plan to take the Athletics name with them unfortunately
That doesn’t look packed to me Oakland will always be the same 😂🤣
Let’s go A’s!
The fans cared that one day. Where were they the last 20 years. Attendance has been embarrassing
It’s the city, not the fans.
That stadium wasn’t even packed, it looked only 1/3 full
It will be interesting to see who will broadcast A's games after they relocate. A couple of options come to mind. Maybe more.
Sell the team!
A new stadium is needed in the Oakland area, and maybe the A's can stay in Oakland if the city can build them a new stadium.
Las Vegans don't want them , we want an expansion team.
help us out then!!! call your congress reps and governor!!
Chargers need to do this with Spanos
You mean needed?? Lol you’re late buddy! SoFi is already built and the move happened 7 years ago 😂
Rooted in Vegas.
Maybe if they showed up to games like this every time they wouldn't have to move. Skyrocketing crime and abysmal attendance is the problem here.
The stadium issue still remains whether it's packed or not.
@@fantasticvoyage262 if you build it they will come.
What about the rampant crime? Let's be realistic here. It's still not safe.
@@HomeSkillit Other cities have rough parts too. It doesn't stop them from supporting a team. The biggest problem is the crap stadium.

🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙
Move them to Las vegas .
As owner doesn’t deserve a team same with the fans they don’t deserve a team they already forces the warriors to move and the raiders and now they are working on the As all
Problems would go away if they just filled the stadium once in a while
A dump of a stadium is still a dump whether it's full or not.
Sell the gold digger
They're going to Vegas. Sorry guys
SELL THE TEAM TO SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY CARES!
Fischer should be banned from baseball
Why not let them leave ? Everybody else is leave cali why not the A's as well
If you want the team to stay in Oakland then why don't you guys just show up to the games?
Pirates fans: "first time?"
such a joke .. .the game the next day saw less than 7k fans - a 1/4 of the mid-week attendance of other teams. So glad the team is moving of the armpit that is oakland.
MLB KEEP THE A’s name in Oakland as expansion team. Las Vegas get the team and stupid fisher ownership and change there name in Vegas
i love how people act like the A's weren't winning the division and performing in the playoffs just a few years ago lol. When you put out a good team and KEEP OUR FUCKING PLAYERS AROUND we will show up!!!
How many in attendance for the next game? 🤔
Not sure who is pushing this. But, they (A’s) will have to move, regardless. There is no market in Oakland. It has nothing to do with ownership. These people are oblivious. Warriors and Raiders are gone for a reason. Soon, the Warriors will have to move again, and so will the Giants. SF is the leading edge of the big collapse. RUN FOR YOU LIVRS!!!
Raiders, Warriors and Athletes don’t like and never like Oakland and abandoned you. They cheated your investment ticket seat for 20 years! Sell!
Is it me..or aren’t the Athletics a team that moved from another city? Aren’t they from Philadelphia and Kansas City? So they stole the team from another city..I have no sympathy for the Oakland fans.
Blaming the A’s for leaving Oakland is like blaming Rats for jumping off the Titanic 🐀
Pointless?
@@MyLeg. Thank your local Democrat politicians 🤣
In Oakland half full is the new “packed “ .
The definition of “packed” is apparently in the eye of the beholder. The Coliseum seats 46,000 for baseball. 27,000 showed up. It would have been more of a statement if the place was sold out, but why let facts ruin the narrative.
It’s a Tuesday night game, that’s why. More than half of the league doesn’t average over 27k per game throughout the season. The point is fans would be more inclined to show had Fisher not keep continuously sabotaging the team to fulfill his own interests.
You can protest all you want. Your voice and vote don't change anything.
The decision has already been made. All these fans did was add more money to Fisher's pockets.
Not really the team donated the gate to charity.
@@louiscypher4186 How f___ing generous of them! 🖕🏽 Fisher!
You're right. I forgot about that. Wasn't it because they were essentially called out by Vegas for not being community-oriented?
WTH is a "reverse boycott"? Also, the Coliseum was not packed.
Yes it was.
Kick rocks and let the adults handle the big conversations. This went over your head clearly
Sorry, but if the A's had continuing attendance from its fans like this lame display, they wouldn't be moving. Small market Cardinals are going to get 3.5 million this year despite being last in the standings. Last year the small market Twinkies averaged 15,000 more in attendance than the A's. Down the coast Padres average 30,000 fans per game more than the A's. Again, sorry ... but it's the lack of fans.
And all those other teams at least try to make the playoffs in nice stadiums. Which is the complete opposite of the Athletics.
Screw reverse boycott
I wish this crowd packing would have happen at EVERY homestand over the past several years. It might have been the difference needed. Also, the mayor's the city Oakland had (through their inaction) bare a large part of what is happening now
With an average attendance of 7,500 this year , can you blame him for leaving Oakland ?
To late fans should of could of move them to Vegas
So they only turn an average of 8000 fans and expect them to stay. I understand the owners aren’t putting money into the team but when they don’t show up how much passion is really there
All the passion. Fisher has been tanking the team for 20 + years - unless your sucker you don’t support bad business. Do more research cuz the man can’t even run the gap he was gifted.
He treats his mls team like crap too.
That’s packed ? 😂😂😂
Compared to other home games, yes, yes it is.
Outside of the Yankees and maybe another team all baseball attendance suffering. Manfred bad for ball.
Baseball must be dying then
That makes no sense you don’t like them so give them fists full of money
Maybe if the fans didn't boycott the team they wouldn't have needed to reverse it? These very players they now cheer for their 7 game victory streak just 2 weeks ago weren't worthy of their loyalty and respect.
This reverse boycott was in the works and being planned out long before the seven game win streak. And the reason why they weren’t attending wasn’t because they didn’t want to support the players on the field, but because the stadium is literally falling apart. They have to have mothballs on the seat because the stadium is infested with rodents. Does that sound like a place you want to go? Last year stadium employees pulled dead rats out of the soda machines. The teams performance is abysmal and the ownership raised The ticket price is 33% since 2019 when they were in the playoffs.
Your comments show is you have no clue TQ… just stay quiet
Because a no good SOB owner got rid of all their best players!
@@wmw3629 So the players that were on the field, the same ones that now have won 7 in a row, were "not worthy" of your support? They didn't match your standards? They weren't good enough for you to support the team? Seems pretty petty.
"A's fans packing the stadium in what seems like forever" ... stadium still half empty ... yah, lets blame the owner as the reason why he wants to move the team.
10k more than the entire capacity of SF
You know they traded away all their young talent while raising ticket prices and not doing a thing to improve the stadium, right? Why on earth would you pay hard-earned money to go there?
It's a football stadium bro no sporting event will ever fill that place again. Especially with the state that it's in
Capacity for baseball is 46,000.
@@TheDanLovallo that doesn’t matter people will still say it “looks empty” because they cover 10,000 seats
Fans dont care
A revers boycott is showing up to the games?? Why dont the fans show up and show support every game?? Lol
You would pay to watch a team lose 120 games?
