I am of that age group who grew up with the Bash Brothers of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. It would shock young people to learn the A’s of that time were bigger than the Yankees. The A’s had that swagger because they had an owner who loved the team, Walter Haas.

One of my least favorite things in sports is when teams pack up and leave. It’s unfair to the fans, and I always felt it was stupid from the perspective of the new city as well. Being a Nevadan, I was absolutely stoked when Vegas got a professional hockey team because it was OUR hockey team. It was unique to us. But when the Raiders moved to Vegas? It felt fake. That’s not our team, it’s Oakland’s. Their culture is Oakland’s, their history is Oakland’s, their entire vibe is Oakland’s. They’re not Vegas. Idk anyone else fell like that?

So many vile heartless a-holes from LV. Your facts are correct. This is a coordinated removing of a team by a completely biased commissioner helping a buddy. WTF

The bay is a complete dump, looks like the movie escape from New York. It's dangerous for the public to attend games there, Oakland made the right decision to move, they put the safety of the fans and players first.

every team should sign something to keep the A’s in Oakland they basically want to be in every city in the United states, make them commit to a city and a state

Oakland has proven again and again they aren’t a big league city….not any more. I hated Al Davis as a sports fan…and a San Diegan.. but he was right.
