Very nice review. But the only thing that ticks me off a bit about most car reviews (including yours) is that I hear a ton about Apple carplay, and nothing about Android auto. It would be nice if you guys remember there are people with Android phones out here that can actually use that charging pad.

Glad you liked the K9 Forrest! This car has been on sale here in Korea since April of 2018 and it's REALLY nice. All the wood is real, except the wheel. They were worried about the shape warping if they used real wood there. For this money, I think it's really hard to find a better car.

Jazmine Thomas that’s such bullshit though. Unless your steering wheel is the size of a tree, you should be able to cut that tiny piece of wood into that shape. KIA giving excuses for their fake build materials? That’s so corny. Lol.

I just bought a 2020 K900 - couple of things I discovered not covered in your review - the trunk can open automatically hands-free if you stand near it and the doors are closed and locked. Also in the main screen, under the data menu, you can search for the best gas prices, by grade, near you, then navigate to the selected station. The K900 takes 91 octane or higher because of the turbo charger. Unfortunately Kia stopped selling the K900 in the US, the last model year sold here being the 2020, of which only 305 were sold in the US.

I have a special place in my heart for Kia. I bought the first Sportage in the US in 1995. My first real car after college. Loved that SUV. I went to other brands after that until 2015 when I got the Cadenza. Loved that car too, but after 50k miles, the electronics went to the toilet; sun roof housing, infotainment system, and starter. From my research, electrical systems seems to be a consistent problem with Kia. Kia has a lot of luxury items in their cars, but there is a reason for the lower price tag than comparable vehicles. In my opinion, they go with cheaper components. If you are in the luxury market, do your research and take into consideration of long term costs. I just switched my Cadenza out with a Lexus ES Hybrid and love it!

Here's what I like about this review. This gentleman is sincerely impressed by this car, as the result of not being hindered by compromised logical thinking, as badge worshipers are. I love his energy as well. This is a fine ride and he reacts to it as such. This is how reviews should be, reflective of the automobile. Too many reviewers have become complacent. Indifferent to the grandeur of vehicles they review and simply going through the motions for that monetize check.

the thing is you get what you pay for. Interior of Korean cars look great when they are brand new but after about 5 years old you start seeing their poor quality. Don't get me wrong. I own a 2015 Hyundai Sonata 2.0 T Sport Limited. The build quality (body) of my Sonata is not as good as my previous car, 2000 Toyota Camry, when I see in detail. But I have to admit my car has better interior design than 2015 Camrys because they design language came from German cars, specifically Audi.

I really love how the car looks but you can clearly see how they take some stuff from Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz but still an awesome vehicle

Great review of a great car. I drove one of these shortly after the new generation was released in 2019. The K900 is sumptuous; the 3.3 Twin Turbo engine is a beast; in 2018 Kia was #2 in initial quality (after #1 Genesis) according to JD Powers; the Kia (and Hyundai) warranty is incredible; and for the money, you get an unbelievable level of features. I have a hard time understanding people buying a base, stripped E class or 5 series 4 cylinder instead of this car. If you have way more sense than money, and are secure about your self-identity and size of your privates, the K900 is a lot more car than anything the Germans make at anywhere near the price.
A word of criticism about the review: why not say, "...here are the adjustments for the seats..." instead of, "you have your adjustments for the seats," or " you're gonna have your stitching on the leather...."? Petty, I know, but listening to the 2nd person passive verb usage gets old quickly.

Fun Fact: the beloved E-Class Mercedes is a basic taxi cab in Europe, similar to the Ford Crown Vic in the US.
Hyundai/Kia is crushing the game and badge snobs. My Kia Stinger GT1 will probably be replaced by the '22 G70 AWD

Great review on a vehicle that looks intriguing, but IMO, Kia should follow suit to its closest competitor (Hyundai) and give this vehicle, and perhaps the Stinger, a separate brand. Otherwise, there will be a stigma in paying $65k for a vehicle with a Kia badge.

It looks far nicer than the latest offerings from Merc! The style is understated, sophisticated without shouting, and the bodyline is far nicer than the hideous great slash on the Merc that doesn't really line up with anything. The Kia is what the Merc SHOULD have looked like!

This will be the best used car pick up soon. Nearly no one knows about this car. I have even seen it sell new for under 50k. The white with the brown nappa leather is my fav. Will pick one of these up one day. Make the Germans jealous.

The gauges look like Rivian headlights~!
    I drove a 2019 6 cyl Kia Sorento just a month ago
that I rented from Hertz! I averaged 28.7 mpg from
Tulsa, OK to San Diego, CA. A wonderful vehicle....
My best mpg was 30.7mpg from Arizona to El Paso on my return trip.
My worst mpg was stop n go in San Diego which was 16.8 mpg.
I am convinced I'd buy a Kia after driving nearly 4,000 miles... in a week.

Kia’s take on a Benz with some Lexus in it. It’s a refreshing break from the norm and I dig it. I’d buy this over an S class and that’s coming from a loyal Mercedes customer and brand enthusiast. Love what Kia is doing here

Ok people you’re complaining about the car looking like a car triple its price? I don’t get it? First people were complaining that Kia motors cars were not good enough now the complaints consist of them looking like others.. step back and admire the beauty and the fact Kia motors has come a long way and appreciate the cars!

I own a 2015 Genesis 3.8 Ultimate. I love the vehicle. I don’t think I would upgrade to the Genesis G90. I would have to purchase a preowned Mercedes S Class, as that vehicle has a lot of options and is a masterpiece.

It is funny looking at comments saying this vehicle is a copy of BMW, Benz, Audi. They don't realize it is designed by design director from AUDI, the guy who designed AUDI TT, as well as designers from BMW. They are working for KIA now.

Although the ambient noise test is probably better using the camera mic? Did anyone ever tell you Richard Ayoade british actor looks like you? 😉

Your review was well done in style and substance. The K900 does provide a case for a good value proposition. It does cheat in some areas that a consistent German luxury buyer would notice. But someone moving up from Buick, Acura or Infiniti will see it for what it is. An upgrade! Subscription added!

I have no doubts that this car is luxurious. What I have my doubts on is the badge still I adore Kia but it’s an economy brand. People in the market for a luxury car are paying for the car more than for the features. There’s a reason people buy a rolls royce or Bentley over a something more affordable like an S Class. People want the vanity that comes with owning an expensive car like with a Tahoe and escalde they’re the same car but people prefer the Cadillac even if it’s 30-40k more
