Yeah, no. That would mean the design is so dumb and archaic that you would need to manually engage it every time. It's probably more for if you have a child with you in the back, or if you just don't want to accidentally hit something while your hand is there.
That is not an amazing car. It's just a car with some leather and copied design. They even use old NA V8s. On a luxury saloon. How do you expect them to compete ? 2 cameras won't do it. The 2 biggest manufacturers in the world could not do it, there is no chance KIA an Hyundai unless the cars are electric.
I have owned one of these myself for a year and a half now. Same color. Luxury trim. If ANYONE has the chance to buy one, go for it! Especially a 2019 model with lower mileage. Around 25k right now. It’s worth every penny. If you are anything like me, who appreciates a car that must satisfy luxury+power+rarity/uniqueness, it’s hard to get any better than this. The first year I’ve had this car I lived in Washington DC and I cannot express the amount of attention and compliments it has received. Fast forward to now and I’ve since moved to Europe (I’m in the military) and shipped the car with me, I expected it to blend in better amongst the European car enthusiasts but it turns heads EVERYWHERE I go. Going out on an evening/dusk drive when those stacked LED daytime running lights are lit up is such an experience. It has such a presence. I still can’t believe Kia doesn’t get credit for this build let alone they still don’t make it in the US.
I actually saw 3 K900s yesterday. The Telluride is also one of the most beautiful new SUVs. I think that Kia should advertise the K900. No one knows about this car and I think more people would buy it if they knew about it..
All of Doug’s videos comment sections consist of positive comments, memes of what he says and “Doug the kind of guy”... What an interesting community he has created.
Yep. Got my girlfriend a used Soul and I like it so much I've legitimately considered selling my F-150 and getting one of my own. You really cannot beat the reliability/warranty/low cost to own combo of the Kia Soul.
The reasoning problem for the '' lock '' button on the rear center arm rest is probably soo if you have your arm relaxed on it and if you accidentally hit any other button nothing gets pressed 🤔🤔🤔
The watch inside this KIA is produced by renowned Swiss manufacture Maurice Lacroix, and the Masterpiece is the name of their high-end collection. The idea here was to connect the luxury watches world with the luxury automotive world, not unlike the bond between Bentley and Breitling..
Kia is such an underappreciated brand. They put in things that would most consider useless but to some they might be useful so they think why not have it anyway . They really care about having options for everyone
The mere fact that they bother to make satellite radio standard on so many models vs the cheap manufacturers that make you pay extra even on $40,000 vehicles....I love it.

The engine produces 365HP and 376FT/LBS. It is exactly the same as the Stinger and Genesis version. 0-60 is 5.1-5.3 seconds. The NA V6 and V8 are available in other markets.
The interior is also very similar to the Stinger and G70, you can see the similarities in the layout of controls and shifter / door panel material placement
@@elusivellama It's closer to a G90 than a Stinger, both from a platform perspective, it's platform is shared with the G80/90 and splits them in size, closer to the G90. The G70/Stinger sit on a pretty heavily modified version of that platform since they don't need room for a V8. The platform will also be the basis for their first round of SUV's as well, sitting above the Palisade/Telluride, not in size, but in being rear drive based, a longitudinal engine placement, a bit more lux, and with more power.
@@MiniVegas420Yo Thanks for the info, do you think it's a good platform? Looking at getting this, or a TLX Type-S, or a 4th gen Lexus IS (if it gets an engine upgrade).
Honestly at around $60-65k, Kia is probably selling this car as a loss leader at the moment just to continue to establish themselves as a serious contender against the Germans the same way Lexus did back in the 90s.
Guys guys guys. If your being chauffeured about in your luxury car by a stranger, you would want to chose your own entertainment and stop the driver from changing it so that it doesn’t interfere with your choice. Hence the lock button to stop them from changing your choice. Thank me later
Actually the different paddle backs are damn smart. Because they are steering wheel mounted, they move, so even if you have it upside down you can feel which paddle is upshift and which down. More sportcars would need that. Actually brilliant.
I've not heard many good things about BMW reliability. Mercs still have reputation for being very robust, but when things do go wrong...your wallet will not like that. Some part prices are hilarious.
Few people understand the point of this car and the Stinger. They were never ever designed to be sold in huge numbers. They exist to lift the brand image of Kia in general. It's to show people they capable of building more than just budget cars.
Ellipsis....Actually, you're right, in that that is their intention for the US market. It's just to show what Kia can do. But overseas, this car sells VERY well, and that's why it was redesigned.
That's really cool. I think other competitive automakers should do this, then they can call such cars their 'Flagship' models borrowing a kind of nautical metaphor.
You're probably right but I can't see people (Americans at least) spending 65k on a KIA. They should make a luxury brand like Honda did with Acura, Toyota with Lexus., Etc.

Kia is knocking it out of the ball park. The Kia Soul is the best bang for the buck car on the market. The amount of stuff packed into their fully loaded versions is just awesome. Great sound system, smooth ride, low cabin noise, great technology, etc. I'm glad people are finally recognizing Kia for what they are doing. Then add to that their reliability scores, the lack of car issues, their amazing car warranty, and you have something truly special. Kia is changing the car industry. Some manufacturers are getting out of certain car markets (like ford not making sedans anymore)and they have Kia to thank (blame) because of their success.
sure, but the question is, if it's locked from the front, can you unlock it from the back? which would make that option useless when having kids in the back f.e.
Was in the new Bmw 5 Series recently and was really disappointed . This looks way better looking interior wise. That's coming from a 5 and 7series owner. Is just the Kia brand that's killing it. At that price people will buy a less loaded Mercedes just to say they own one.
hassan bah this car interior is just a mix of audi benz , the problem with korean car is that they cant have their own design look at japanese car they always have their own design even if it doesn’t look as good as the german car sometime
I was in a Mercedes rental recently, and was very disappointed at the quality. I asked for a different vehicle, and they gave me a Dodge charger, and i was mortified. After a couple hours, I was much happier with the quality of the dodge than the merc. I think people are learning that name isnt as important as or once was. Kia/Hyundai have changed that 10 years ago. Now their products rival that of almost any other brand, and then beat them on price, maintenance, and warranty. They may not resell for as much, but then, it didnt cost you as much, and you didn't pay as much to keep it on the road, so in the long run, you're still ahead. In other words, fuck Mercedes, Audi, amd BMW.

Not really. I'd rather have a used 2013+ LS460. It's a nicer car with less depreciation, better customer service, better quality components, far greater reliability, a better engine, and you don't have to show up to a Kia dealership and end up with a Kia Rio when you drop off your expensive luxury car for service.
@@rustler08 I wouldn't call a Kia unreliable. The Sportage that my company uses as company cars are doing great. They have arround 100-120k miles on them, none had any issue out of 8 cars. Kia is up there with Lexus, Subaro and Toyota when it comes to reliability.
It’s still a Kia nobody wants it only balding dads who drive around their daughters that are fragile. “Daddy daddy look what I drew in school” acting so innocent clueless on what’s going around in the world. Fucking dad and daughter should be shot in the head.

This car sounds so great yet he still takes digs at them because they are made by "Kia" . They told him 5 year warranty and 10 years on the other thing, that's a major selling point. This car sounds great but people hate on it.
Well, the fact that it is a Kia is kinda a problem for people with this kind of money -- and I'm not talking about its badge. It means having to go to a Kia dealership -- a place where bottom of the barrel salespeople are used to dealing with buyers with awful credit. Generally speaking, it's not a pleasant place to buy a car -- never mind one that costs this much.
@@1MTEK You make a perfectly fair point there. One of the salespeople at our local Kia dealership is named Bill... and he insists on being called "Dollar Bill". That dealership is only just now starting to change for the better now that they realize Kia is moving upmarket. It'll take time.
Kia needs to understand that most people who buy these saloons use it to do business. A kia is not gonna impress anyone to want to do business with you lol
I'm gonna say the same thing to those haters (most of them are German car fanboys) that they say to me when I bash German over-engineered unreliable money pits. If you haven't owned or driven one to base that opinion on actual experience, your opinion has been deemed irrelevant.
*If you took the patches off and put Benz, BMW, or Audi on it peps would be all for it, just off the look and everything that come in it. Plus the price, reliability, and the price to get something fix! Which you wont need because it comes with a 10 year warranty!* Nice car!
jarvis thomas sure it may be a good value in comparison. But the market for this kind of luxury saloon are usually people who do business and want to give their clients or business associates a premium impression. This is why people spend so much money on designer clothes to wear in formal occasions. If you want the best deal then just go get a practical and comfy suv for even better proce

The finest car on the market that doesn’t sell. From a marketing perspective it’s an odd duck. The stinger is hip and cool and fits Kia’s youthful image . The K900 is more like an S class Benz that competes with Genesis. Therefore compared to the genesis it’s a bit redundant .

I don't even have to scroll down to know people are going to be scoffing about this, but I unironically love how much work went into the animations in the gauge cluster. The mode switches are a delight. If I had one of these, I would switch modes occasionally just to watch the gauges transform.

Its awesome car for the money. Ofc IT wont sell in our sad world where 99% of sheeple do everything for show off. Luckily for us normal ppl, in few years this used cars will have even more cost effective ;
The K900 strikes me as a properly good car that lacks a market in the US. It's pointed at old conservative people (conservative meaning their tastes, not their politics), but those people are the least inclined to buy Korean because their conservatism steers them to established luxury brands. Turn the K900 into a sportback with funkier styling and aim it at people 20 years younger (who are willing to try Hyundai/Kia out, if they haven't already in their lives), and this could be a genuine hit here, like a Korean 6-series Gran Coupe. Market it as the Stinger's big brother and the company flagship, with a focus on technology and prestigious luxury.
Im 18 and would buy this if I could. Kia is probably investing in younger people. They know they want sell these I think they just want to change their brand reputation. You know, to kill the its a kia argument. Maybe guys like me will know kia as a luxury brand in 10-20 years
+amari w. - I have to agree. I own an Acura and they get very boring over time. But I do have to say this car reminds me a lot of Genesis for some reason. Still nicely done on Kia's part. Can't say the same about the exterior though....sort of bland imo.

KIA designers are good
They tried to advertise it at one point by using LeBron James in some commercials a couple years back. I wonder if they gave up..
Its nice, but I like the Palisade better. I like the Telluride but IDK man. That Palisade.

Figures. 315hp from a turbo V6 sounded a bit odd.

It's closer to a G90 than a Stinger, both from a platform perspective, it's platform is shared with the G80/90 and splits them in size, closer to the G90. The G70/Stinger sit on a pretty heavily modified version of that platform since they don't need room for a V8. The platform will also be the basis for their first round of SUV's as well, sitting above the Palisade/Telluride, not in size, but in being rear drive based, a longitudinal engine placement, a bit more lux, and with more power.

just made Kia more popular than it was!
@FilipVlogs A lot of people are not sleeping on KIA
Its awesome car for the money. Ofc IT wont sell in our sad world where 99% of sheeple do everything for show off. Luckily for us normal ppl, in few years this used cars will have even more cost effective ;
14:16 Doug listening to a nice UK rapper
Lol I get it

21 Savage is like KIA with this car
Retro Collected I don’t think you got the joke.
Retro Collected he’s talking about 21 savage
Stinger's bigger brother are the Genesis
Im 18 and would buy this if I could. Kia is probably investing in younger people. They know they want sell these I think they just want to change their brand reputation. You know, to kill the its a kia argument. Maybe guys like me will know kia as a luxury brand in 10-20 years
Matt Clark already did that with the stinger
that midnight violet font looks like it belongs in need for speed underground
I wouldn't want it in that car, but id love that in my car and a number of others.
Wow. Brought it back
I've got a 2015 luxury V8 trim and can tell you, this car is highly underappreciated
My damn god!.. Can somebody please tell Infiniti and Acura that this is what their interiors should look like..
My damn god? That makes no sense at all and nobody ever says that.
Ardent Shrew I said it and I meant it. What’re you going to do about it?
and dont forget to mention the influence of BMW interior here look at the dashboard and the infotainment
+amari w. - I have to agree. I own an Acura and they get very boring over time. But I do have to say this car reminds me a lot of Genesis for some reason. Still nicely done on Kia's part. Can't say the same about the exterior though....sort of bland imo.
amari w. I’m an Infiniti fan and not gonna lie they seriously gotta work on the interior. Like the new QX80 has a very outdated infotainment screen which looks like it came from like 10 years ago..
When you want a Mercedes-Benz S-klasse, but you don't want to seem too mainstream.
I mean, it's cheaper and probably more reliable than an S-class.
@@person.w9780 or cheaper to fix for that matter
@@person.w9780 more reliable, i dont know, but for that price its just an amazing car.
@@M4xXxIkInG I would assume that the K900 would be more reliable than an S-class. Is it?
I'd take it because it's not a gimmick like the S Class.
I think it looks nice. Better than the old one.
Doug the rear lock for the controls is so that you can lock yourself out so you’re not accidentally hitting buttons/switches. Sometimes you just have to simply think simply. It’s a good feature and very practical.
