I'm a Lexus guy as I first drove a 2017 IS200t F-Sport & currently a 2016 GS350 F-Sport & this Kia has a nicer interior than all of the current Lexus models IMO. Both of my Lexus' have red interiors which I love, but I would go with a caramel brown interior like this Kia for my future car. Too bad this car was discontinued as well as many other sedans the past few years. I've always been a sedan guy. I purchased five vehicles so far as they've all been sedans.
Kia, Hyundai and Genesis are the automotive world's best kept secret. More bang for your buck! Just got a 2019 Kia Optima SX turbo. Love the car! Would love to own a K900!👍👍
I bought a Kia Cadenza just over a year ago, and trust me when I say this, the quality the of the car is excellent! Everything is done really well and much nicer than the Toyota, Honda, and other similarly priced brands. The car looks more expensive than it actually costs, which is awesome. I don't care if a car looks vanilla. Most people would rather not be noticed. You don't drive on the outside, you drive on the inside. And the K900 is top-notch on the inside.
The problem is when people like you Sof say "its alot of money for a Kia" and turn right around and buy or lease a 75 thousand dollar lexus or 90 thousand dollar Porsche. Why would you damn near purchase a car which is the cost of a condo or modest house when you can get the K900 and the house? I saw this car here in Chicago. All I have to say it held my attention long after it was gone. Looked amazing and nothing like on the market at the moment.
Kia gets a bad rap. Sure, when they started they were all just cheaply made beaters, but they've improved markedly over the years. They should now be recognized for making reliable, quality cars at affordable prices. Let's not forget that Mercedes, Audi & BMW all went through a cheap phase as well. Cases in point: the early M class suv for Mercedes (poor styling, cheap look), 90s Audi s4 was plagued with mechanical issues (one person i know went through 3 of them all with the same issue) and the BMW Z3 was just hideous.. (Z4 wasn't much better). These are all my opinion. This kia could be styled better, for sure, but they didn't start as a luxury company and they're doing some good things.
A few years back I would have never considered Kia or Hyundai. Now, I'm thinking that I would go for one of these, or a G90, slightly used to save a lot on it. Amazing quality for the money!
I love kia as a brand & how far they've come. However saying the kia k900's interior blows away the interior of the all new Lexus LS is a pretty bold statement. Thoughts anyone?🤔🤔
NOFATCHICK1 these reviews and the shit talking comments are fun to watch, but at the end of the day people are going to buy what they want to spend their money on :)
I agree with ya. Kia has definitely stepped their game up, but Lexus is at the top of Asian luxury. Kia has to actually move some units to contend in my opinion.
@@805NAVE I actually sat in the Lexus LS this past Sunday at the L.A auto show & was thoroughly impressed, however I didn't check out the kia k900, so I can't compare them both, but I highly doubt the k900 is more luxurious. Yet alone the the kia k900 interior being able too "blow away the interior" of the Lexus LS like sofyan claimed.
When worked at Kia we couldn’t give away the first gen K900s the only ones being driven were used by employees. We sold a few Kadenzas though and a ton of Optimas and everything else sold pretty good. Hopefully this second generation sells more since it seems they’ve addressed most of the style and material issues associated with the original model.
I don't understand why people like adding nonessential complexity to cars. All those devices have a limited lifespan and they all will break down eventually. Will you repair them all or will you just junk your car? I value simplicity and durability. That said, this Kia is nice looking.
As the owner of a 94Limited Buick Roadmaster with the corvette engine in it.I have to give kia there props this is one nice kia big body saden and has lots power and is Hi-Tech and the interior is not what u would expect from Kia
With the Cadillac XTS, CT6, Chevy Impala, Buick LaCrosse, amongst a few other big American sedans being completely discontinued for this coming year it's good to see carmakers like Kia continuing to deliver the big ass sedan that some of us want.
I bought a brand new 2015 Optima and I love it. I don't care if people look down on me for it. Forget them and enjoy your car, because what matters is what YOU think.
I would buy one in a heartbeat. Wait after one is leased it'll be for sale around 25k. Also, Kia knows that this model isn't going to sell well in the United States, but most people don't know that it doesn't cost Kia that much to send a few of these models over here. They sell more in the Asia, some or Europe, and the Middle Eastern market

It's a shame that these cars depreciate like crazy and they aren't cheap anymore. Any money you save buying it initially, instead or a more premium brand you loose when you sell it
chappy2121 Nope. Look at the depreciation on an S Class or a 7 series. It’s no different than this. Look at the XJ and be amazed it’s even worse than Kia.
If a different car depreciates $20.000 less but costs $30.000 more to buy in the first place you still lose $10.000 more money on it and less on the Kia.
Different people may disagree about this statement, but, you should turn that depreciation to your advantage. What I’m saying is, do not buy one new, buy one that’s like a year old and pay half the price. Just check out the Genesis sedan from 2016. It used to be like $45,000, but you can buy them now on CarMax.com for half of that. And they’re still in brand new condition. Depreciation is not always a bad thing LOL.

This guy has the best videos/presentation anywhere. Subscribed.
Kia, Hyundai and Genesis are the automotive world's best kept secret. More bang for your buck! Just got a 2019 Kia Optima SX turbo. Love the car! Would love to own a K900!👍👍
But redline review is one of my first choice to see these reveiws
I want this car so much. I have a 2014 Kia Cadenza SXL and absolutely love it. Can't wait to upgrade to a K900.
I hope the fact it's a Kia makes it depreciate faster so I can buy a used one on the cheap in a few years 🤑
Andrew Schulz smart man
Not only the depreciation but the warranty is the icing on the cake.
@@Tampa0123456789 the warranty shortens unless u buy used cpo
I bought a Kia Cadenza just over a year ago, and trust me when I say this, the quality the of the car is excellent! Everything is done really well and much nicer than the Toyota, Honda, and other similarly priced brands. The car looks more expensive than it actually costs, which is awesome. Kia and Hyundai are now on a whole new level
Kia/Hyundai over any German crap.... Koreans rocking right now
German crap? Any German competitor (S-class/7series and A8) is still better...but nice car, they did a good job
Lol..German cars are far better than those Koreans shit. Most people would buy a BMW Audi or an Mercedes than this piece of shit. Just because you can't afford it doesn't mean you have to bash it
Aryan sharma Those germans are not twice better than the koreans to justify their almost double the price tags. Go do some research, sit in one of these bfor bringin ur hatred over here.
The K900 will still be working after the warantee runs out unlike most German brands
DJEddieXZ Sofyan doesn’t like Lexus,so keep Lexus out of this,it started out just like the Genesis & has its people already...Sofyan is a Tesla & Porsche snob...He on the other hand will NEVER buy one never mind all the talk.
Can you stop with the German unreliability talk. The early 2000s is over. German brands are reliable now. More reliable then damn Chrysler And Dodge. Take care of your cars and stop driving them till something breaks maybe you won’t feel that way
@@Playb0ymari Lexus are far more reliable, however Kia is right behind them...... then comes the German vehicles. but youre right take care of your car and it'll take care of you.
@@penvon i thought sofyan loves lexus and toyota their japanese brands of course he likes them
Andrew White Unfortunately he does not.He loves Honda/Acura though & Mazda.
Along with the warranty it's awesome car...for some of us it's definitely good to be able to afford something that nice and comfortable and not break the bank, it's nice to see something different than the usual luxury cars🙂
Lol Kia surpassed Maserati in luxury. WOW
Actually surpasses acura infiniti cadillac and maybe audi on some models
Really looks like a 7series BMW and an S-class Benz. Almost looks like an LS Lexus on the door panels! I am very pleased what Kia did. I also agree it would be awesome with the massage seats and panoramic roof. Great review as always Soyfran!
I WISH they kept the V8 engine with 420 HP
I saw this car here in Chicago. All I have to say it held my attention long after it was gone. Looked amazing and nothing like on the market at the moment.
You're handsome
@@Playb0ymari that has nothing to do with my comment lol.
I agree with ya. Kia has definitely stepped their game up, but Lexus is at the top of Asian luxury. Kia has to actually move some units to contend in my opinion.
Yeah I totally disagree with him lol. I’ve sat in the New LS at 5 different Lexus dealers (lol) and that literally blows this out of the water.
Kia's been kill'n it!!!
Whenever I think of any kind of vehicle, Kia is one of the FIRST brands that comes to my mind
Something tells me that this car will be more reliable than it's European premium competitors. However I think the future of luxury drive is electric.
this and the stinger are amazing , wish to get either one day
Its not bad. I wouldn't call it the "K900". I'd call it a K-Series. Like the "KS"
I could care less about the name. It could be called the Kia Ramalamadingdong. I'll still drive it
Robert Lee James Welch the original korean version is actually named k9
thet reverse light position is just gorgeous
KIA should launch its luxury brand, This car has a good level but It would be difficult to pay the price for a KIA.
With the Cadillac XTS, CT6, Chevy Impala, Buick LaCrosse, amongst a few other big American sedans being completely discontinued for this coming year it's good to see carmakers like Kia continuing to deliver the big ass sedan that some of us want.
If depreciation hits this car severely like the last generation then I will get it.
I'm going to wait for that to happen as well
@derrik tie Well Imma find out later on in the future 😂😂
If this car had a Lexus logo, it would be in my garage right now.
Along with that finance payment of $1100 a month
The Lexus LS is way more luxurious than this car. This car isn’t bad but Kia versus Lexus? Lexus wins hands down
Dave you could buy two k900s for a price of LS
LS has a bland and weird interior. Exterior does stand out a lot ( in a intresting way).
The LS is not and it cost 40k more. I have looked at both. You are way off base.
I bought a brand new 2015 Optima and I love it. I don't care if people look down on me for it. Forget them and enjoy your car, because what matters is what YOU think.
Stealth Wealth. I want one!
The only thing stopping this car from selling is the badge.
My best REDLINE REVIEW of 2018 year, 💯. I am in love with this car and I am speaking it into existence for me to own, one day, no matter the length of time. I want this car 👀(I see you k900) 💕(two hearts beating as one ❤).
You lose a ton more money buying the competition. You have more money to lose starting higher lol
chappy2121 Every car in this class depreciates horribly. If you like being fiscally responsible then buying any kind of luxury sedan is a bad idea.
5:37 “No cars were blown up in the filming of this review...” lmao loved this and the car.
Korean cars are slowly becoming my favourite. This and Genesis are waaay more worth it than european brands.
Michael Margono they are just cheaper to get fixed. Otherwise the Korean cars are really loud and uncomfortable
Clearly you have never driven one. Especially this one
@@dennislan8305 i'd say they're marginally worse while being much better in terms of value. I'd rather just buy one of these and live with the lower repair costs and slightly shittier quality.
Slightly shittier quality check the lower end Toyota line up. Even the Highlander. Toyota goal is to get you to Lexus brand where they rake in the cash. 50K for an SUV hybrid 30mpg warranty 4yr 50K
@@dennislan8305 Stop driving some 20 years old vehicle.
Agree with you 100% about those wheels. The right set would make a world of difference .
