- What cylinder kit is the best for your scooter? we will show you some of the most popular brands and there strength and weaknesses. All three big bore kits are 70cc. we have all of these kit for sale on our web site. these kits are made to fit 70cc minrelli motors, 70cc jog engines, 70cc franco morini engines and all qmb140 motors.
The naruku cylinder has been my daily bore for The last 5 years every season I'll freshen it up put a new piston in inspect the bore never have any issues very powerful affordable cylinder if this is Honda cylinders one of the best cylinders on the market is the polini Corsa or contesta IMO
A Lil better out of the hole then good pull from 30 to 40 on the speedo, only gaind 1-2 mph on the top tho
So basically, airsal is the most hated cilinder here... Naraku isn’t even in stores here because no one wants it... everything here is polini, malossi or too performance
With reason, polini and malossi have the best quality considering lifetime
fuel consumption is bad on the naraku cylinders. Wouldnt recommending it.
Airsall makes a great cast aluminum cylinder you just have to know how to tune they're less forgiving than cast iron cylinders
@@rallyscoot my fuel consumption isn't bad with my cylinder the case is Port match cylinders ported I'm running a 28 mm carburetor and to be honest I probably get around 50 miles of tank the tank holds just under one gallon

But usually here we use 80cc, cheaper than 110 but very effective!
For daily use: malossi or polini sport 50/70cc. They last, take an exhaust that is low in revs for lots of torque. Carbonite casting which holds its form at higher temperatures
I’ve got a cheap 70cc kit that cost £30 ($38) runs perfect. Only downside exhaust port bolt holes crack easily which was my own fault using a big socket so had 2 kits on the same piston just changed the barrel and there was no damage on the piston it had used for about 5 months everyday. My set up

Tried the 70cc naraku 700 miles and wrist pin wiped out it was junk. Now installed the ncy it's good so far
Malossi are the most popular kits for 50cc tuning here in europe, but if you buy an used kit for like 80€/100$ and buy a new piston and gaskets you get way cheaper with the same quality, and you forgot to mention, on a scooter top end is only one thing, you have the ignition and clutch and variomat exhaust, carburetor etc
PM tuning kits are the nuts, my derbi senda just pops wheelies every were. but this is with a dellorto carb and race exhaust.

There is a brand called Dr. Evo and these are really good in quality and performance and the price is nice aswell

Im like 4 years late but airsal is aluminum so its gonna expand more easily than naraku which is made of cast iron.

The naruko cylinder actually look shorter or smaller like the height why is standing next to all the others it looked about a millimeter smaller is it or are they all the same size

I would go for the Airsal for longevity it has a nicasil cylinder. We have these in stock if you need them. If your looking for power at a good cost go with Hoca.

Everyone wants to go faster just remember you have to increase your main jet if you do the math pi. x dia2 to get jet area as you increase the main jet that’s that much more gas from 1/4-full throttle constantly passing thru that main jet all the time my roughhouse went from around 80 mpg to under 50mpg going from a 82 jet to a 95 jsyk

Aloha! I put a Polini Corsa 70 on my Genuine Roughhouse but stuck on finding a manifold and 26-28 carb. I hear people are just putting bigger jets in the stock carb? It doesn’t seem enough for it so I’m trying to go bigger just like my past Dio’s I’ve had in the past. What carb setup would u recommend?

If you're gonna buy Naraku, the Ebay special 80cc's are pretty much the same. Plus you'll save $60, and get a head with it. Use the money on the pipe.
I disagree with that. Nuraku is much better than eBay cheapo.
@@RollingWrench To each their own but based on what? Porting and casting appear the same, some burrs but that's not something even a basic Home Depot file can fix. Plus eBay Naraku still saves you money. You can get a head 😝

They're actually pretty mild cylinders dude.. You can get Stage6 and MHR 70 cylinders that make over 22hp and more with porting

I think the malosi kit might be well worth the extra money cause it has reeds when power band kicks in it starts to back feed through the carb at max speed. honestly im not sure if the expansion chamber is worth it it looks great but it seems to take forever to kick into power band im guessing its to big.
It's a fun feeling though, I'm running a stock cylinder with an NCY exp pipe.

Hi man. With this 70cc cylinders, do you need to warm them up before using? Like i got a 70cc stage6 cylinder but if i straight away rev and go after turning it on, i experience a brief bog down after takeoff but will eventually go away after a few hundred metres of revving. It will be fine after that.

Are these easy to install? Are any other mods neccessary to scooter, as far as engine wise, in order to install these. I have a 2012 yamaha zuma yw50fb, with only 234 miles when I bought it a few months ago. It isn't even broken in, yet. Just don't wanna destroy it by not doing it right. Let me know what you have and where I can order it. Ty.
All this stuff is pretty easy to do with a standard set of tools, sockets, spanners, screwdrivers. Getting a lower power kit would be good as the crankshaft wouldn't need to be changed, which is a bit more time consuming and involved. You will usually need a new exhaust and carburettor jets to account for more fuel needed and more exhaust gases being made. Occasionally, the weights will need to be changed in the transmission as they're designed for the power of a smaller engine, but this is easy too. Hope this helps

Yes These Kits will fit your jonway. you just need to know what size your piston pin is.

for a piaggio engine you have to go around 80-90 with a dellorto 17.5 carburator but if you use a aluminium cilinder like the airsal then i would recommend to use around 92-98.
You dont need no carb just a jet of around 70-80 will be fine I have aprilia sr 50 with airsal kit 80 main jet with tt exhaust goes lovely.

Okay just wanna point out that the best of those are malossi and the worst is probaly Airasal but the exhaust port in the cylinder is not "bigger" the one hes showing is just filled with oil bacause he mixed to much in the tank or he just used for a long while the 70cc kits will also get to that point
airsal is way better than naraku. pedparts.com compared the performance and quality of naraku's 70cc kit to a 50cc
@@no____-____ah Kind of true :/ once had a naraku variator and the strap blowed up airasal is okay if you can adjust the moped right just like r-line (only gets sold in denmark) had a jog fs running 105 km/h with the cylinder and it costed like 92 dollars so i aint complaining. but if the moped is build to last long time then we can both agree that malossi and stage 6 is waaaay forward

Or additionally there's a shop in America called Scrappy Dog scooters that have a 90cc kit for a Yamaha Jog. Whole motor 350 dollars. www.scrappydogscooters.com/50cc_2stroke_Performance.html Bolt straight into your jog. Then all you will need is power pipe and carb.

I would recommend swapping the motor for a Honda Elite motor. There is nothing you can do to the spree that would be worth it.

are scooters a thing in the united states? what kind of people drive these? in small european cities, where teenagers only are allowed to drive 50cc, i can undestand it, but in big america, with a drivers license at the age of 16? who buys a scooter?
They are cheaper to buy and drive than cars. Most people don't need a car
some states don't need insurance, i live in Canada where insurance is 25 a months and gas is 5 bucks every 3-4 days. without needing a motorcycle license
JoeKickass324 In Europe it's very expensive. You also need to add money buying the motorcycle in the first place. Mopeds are neat for city riding. Long distances not so much
