    i had the racing cylinder with the pro-replica pipe on a Gilera Runner. Runs well, but she doesnt like it at wot... At 100-115kmh when she hits about 10k rpm you feel it trying to slow down and the noise gets a Buoh sound and acts rich.
    Pro-replica peaks between 9 and 10rpm, was made for the "Streetrace" cast iron cylinder.
    The pipe for this cylinder is the Stage6 R1200, works phenomenally with it ! Or R1400 if you want to chase rpm and get a rotor ignition.
    Have about 2500km on it, lots of torque withe the r1200, no hesitation, so far no loss in compression, ring still great, no carbon build-up, no scratches. Runs like a beast for a little 2stroke engine.

      S6 complete Overrange CVT kit
      (4.5g rollers, medium torque spring, red stiff clutch springs)
      Malossi RHQ mhr crankshaft.
      Stock gears.

    The MKIISP wants to rev up to 12000rpm with an R1200 exhaust etc., the MKIIR goes up to 14000rpm with an R1400 exhaust so the MKIISP is a true midrace cylinder und the MKIIR is a true racing cylinder.

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  3 года назад

      @@scooterstreetau which one would be faster mhr replica or stage 6 racing with similar setup?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  2 года назад

      @@MondiSTT Depends highly on what you mean by faster... The MHR Rep will have more off low and mid range torque which is very practical on the road. The Stage 6 Racing is a race cylinder, and the rest of the setup of the bike needs to match for it to work properly and get power to the road - if it is paired with a good race exhaust, transmission, inner rotor and large carb it is capable of a fair bit more power. If those conditions are not met, it will be an absolute pig to tune and ride.

  • @kolten808

    On the race version, if you widen and raise the exhaust duration very little you could get 20+ something hp, on 8:1 final drive gearing it is very possible to achieve over 90+ MPH on a normal stroke crank and rod, and lightened oem fly wheel. Of course transmission components for the obvious reasons.

      Hello and Thank you.. With the Stage 6 R/T cylinder kit you are encouraged to follow through with high end exhaust, transmission and ignition. If you are prepared to go there we are right behind you🤘
      You should consider a street race kit as you have a great exhaust to suit the class system without going over the capabilities of the exhaust. Stage 6, Malossi, Polini and Top Performances all make Suitable cylinder kits, with Polini and Malossi run with twin rings pistons in this class.

      Either pipe will be fine, the R1200 is for the higher revving and would compliment if you had the extra upgrades, carby, transmission and even inner rotor ignition. The MK2 will provide a torquey street machine that you would find easier to tune and have good reliability. If you contact Stage6 they can advise the entire set up from Cylinder, intake through to the Crankshaft..

      Sure does, we would however recommend a more racing orientated exhaust with the MK2 Racing cylinder. S6 MKII exhaust sits between the performance level of a Yasuni Z and Yasuni R (being that the S6 MKII exhaust is manufactured by Yasuni). A Yasuni C16 or similar would be far more appropriate, the S6 MKII will be restrictive to the cylinder.

    • @scooterstreetau

    how often will i need to change piston rings on a racing mk2 cylinder with a c16 exhaust?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  2 года назад +1

      Check at 5000kms and clean the ring if carbon is present. 10'000kms would be the time to change but that is not the final word as there are many factors that can effect the life of the ring/piston. When first fitting the cylinder do a compression test and take note. After 1 week do a compression test and take note. Now you have the new kit PSI value so at any time you can do a compression test and compare to the initial comp value to see if the compression has changed, lost pressure. Being consistent with fuel type and oil type and using a better standard spark plug can help the longevity of the cylinder, piston and ring.
