The most popular two-stroke bike in Taiwan so far is Honda Dio, which has been in vogue for more than 20 years. So Taiwan ’s modification technology for Honda Dio is very mature. I also have a Honda Dio with a piston diameter of 58.5 mm

For the most i can recommend Diffusione Ricambi (Top Perfomances) Not too expensive and its reliable bang for your buck.Just leave out the headgasket and Lift the foot a bit.
By the way, the kit is not Chinese... it's from Poland I saw the certificate.. they sell these cheap kits in Europe too. In Europe they go as cheap as 30 euros (35 bucks) for a Minarelli vertical engine
@@Scooterswapshop I won't argue here, we have a lot more of these engines in Europe and I saw polish writing on the box, maybe you bought it from a Chinese seller but they're usually made in Poland because it's a lot cheaper to ship it to other European countries.

I have a question for you I Bought a complete minaralli hybrid bicycle engine I noticed one of the cheaper Chinese pistons is in the minaralli I purchased here is my question sir I live in Texas I have about 170 miles on this motor she runs hot here in Texas I think it's cause she is still breaking in the co. I purchased it from says if I put in a better quality piston it would run cooler now this is the cast iron version or would I be better off using a athina aluminum cylinder or can you please point me in the right direction the temperature the motor is getting up to 340 and I shut it down that's after a few mile ride and I exchange the cast aluminum head for a cnc high compression head better cooling or will it get better just keep babying it
I bought a $100 jug and piston, head for 4stroke, the head was so bad, I wouldn't use it, the valve guides were so deep and big. It blocked 80% of the port! On both sides, how do they expect that to work! I bought another stock head and ported it! The guides are all close to blocking the ports, I can't allow myself to install the head without porting it! And the piston looked like it was the last of a 1million run, and casting was very rough on the dome, I polished it best I could, and unshrouded the valves, it cost some compression, I need to delete the base gasket, or get the head or jug cut about .030", and fly cut the piston about .015" depending on clearance, I'm building a 52mm bore, 95cc 139qmb, hoping for 15hp+ with a bit of boost!, I'm hoping to eventually get a 2stroke scoot!
You didn't show us any of transfer ports or anything. Just the outside of the cylinder. Who cares about the outside its whats in that makes it run. Maybe do a comparison of port timing and duration w/degree wheel next time? Or have your mechanic do it for us please. Thanks for the little bit of information otherwise.
I don't know why you say the athena kit is not well made/cut corners in manufacturing just because it came with generic gaskets and whatnot. I have an athena kit for the prebug and comparing it to the corsa it is just as good and if not, better. Packaging is similar to the corsa as well and the gasket package is not the same as the generic chinese cylinders.
I said Athena cuts corners on the gaskets. Taiwan style gaskets vs Cnc head and o ring. Its a fact they are more prone to leaking. I said nothing about poor packaging etc. I mentioned overpaying for a inferior design. They’re the only company that charges what they do and give you a stamped metal gasket. I never said it was bad kit. But if your going to spend nearly $200, you should be getting a Cnc head with o ring. As the $140 malossi even comes that way. I’ve met with the Athena Italy rep. His exact words were “our main business is automotive parts we don’t really care about scooters”. Vs polini who is racing and competing every year. Athena isn’t. A bad kit. Just overpriced for what you get Also athena kits are not styrofoam, they're cardboard, the packaging is almost identical to the chinese/taiwan kits.
You're talking out your ass about the gaskets, Yamaha uses that style of head gaskets from the factory without any additional goop and they work great for hundreds of miles. If you torque the head up properly it should seat nicely and the copper will deform to seal the gap.
We build bikes for a living. Remember we’re not dealing with FACTORY Yamaha japan products we’re dealing with CHINA. We’re also dealing with 130-170psi compression, not the factory 115-125..If you think that a flat stamped metal gasket is better than on o ring you need to brush up on your bill nye lessons. Companies do this to save money. Period. Also these flat gaskets are aluminum typically.. not copper
@@Scooterswapshop Of course it's not applicable to tuning cylinders but it works fine. Same with that POS chinese cylinder you show in the video, that's basically a stock replacement.
Athena uses this same design. Cheap stamped metal. So does taida and twh on bores that see 165+ comp. some of these cylinders are 130cc with stamped metal gaskets. Air cooled, paired with high comp, large cc, with a thin stamped metal gasket good luck.
