I’m 23 years old and watched sopranos a couple years ago. STILL watch clips of it on RUclips to this day. Just love it. Lots of younger people my age talk about how much they love it as well. Show is timeless
It was interesting to read how much influence The Sopranos had for Breaking Bad, like when Vince Gilligan met James Gandolfini. Him and Chris were always the scene stealers on that show
This show came on when I was a senior in high school. This was back when you could not binge-watch every episode in one sitting. The FINAL episode people thought their TVs broke because (well if you know you know). The show is brilliant, a journey of characters, you are so invested, you will never forget it.
I watched it all this year at 22. I was like, “why haven’t I watched this yet”. My brother 26, started watching a few weeks ago, he said it was a culture shock to watch it. RIP James Gondolfini. I’m sure he’s happy knowing a whole other generation is enjoying his work.
Its crazy just how different Michael's voice is from Christopher's. James Gandolfini also had a very very different spoken voice frok Tony's. These guys were such pros.

He's so right, if you are a Sopranos nut like I am and have done numerous rewatches, you come away feeling something different every time you watch the ending. You do go back and forth like he says.
Christopher was an amazingly written character, its really worth to pay attention how he develops from the first season to the end of the show. He became from my least liked character to maybe my favorite in the end, amazing show and writing.

i think most people back in the day hated it because they watched in on tv and had to wait for the rerun to check if they hadnt missed something. its a great watch when you can rewind and replay

Back in the day when the sopranos aired on Sunday nights at 9:00, everybody was home watching this. Before Netflix, streaming, etc you had to watch it live because everyone was watching it and talking about it Monday.
Met Michael and Steve on their book tour. He didn’t talk to most of the people, just signed the books, and allowed everyone to take pictures. Steve on the other hand was very gracious and talked to all of us.

The end was Tony being stuck in purgatory watching his death in front of his family over and over again. Take note of the clothing change when Tony approaches the door and suddenly is watching himself, while in completely different clothing and almost teleported to the table, and when the door opens and you hear the bell, that’s Tony looking over and being shot in the head.
If hell is watching your death over and over again then what’s the point of the black at the end of the show? This theory doesn’t make much sense because death is just black and nothingness
He’s nothing like his Soprano’s character persona. He might look the part, but he’s quite intellectual and doesn’t have the heavy New York/Jersey dialect.
It's weird how these old shows and movies are getting like revived by us younger people. I feel like that just tells us the scripts were so much better back then

Such a complex character development its crazy. This dude acted out probably one of the best characters ever in any production and acts like nothing.
He had a real arc whereas most of the other gangsters did not. One could argue he was the only one with an arc.

My favorite character from The Sopranos is Chrissy, unbelievable start to finish how much he changes and what he goes through.
Imperioli’s always so centered and grounded in interviews. I think he’s a big meditator… maybe I should give it a try 😅
