@ItsStillRealToMe DamnIt To answer your question - yes, absolutely. Everything is perfect in the fictional world where you only see perfection and rationalize flaws and red flags. But would I actually want to LIVE with Tony Soprano day-in and day-out in reality? Not a chance in hell. No sane woman would want to live with a psychopath IRL.
I haven’t been able to find another show even close to what he did for me with the sopranos. I literally go back and watch this show over and over, every season and it never gets boring or old to me. Sometimes I even catch on to things I never noticed the first 20 times I watched it. Best show ever. Plus living in nj allowed me to visit a lot of places that were in the show and that’s one of the best parts about it.
James Gandolfini was a great human being. There’s a Sesame Street episode that talks about being scared, and he shows up. If I were scared James Gandolfini would be the best person to make me feel safe.
I’ll never forget the day I met James at a restaurant in Newark… it was a few years after the Sopranos series ended. I was star struck but I was also a little scared of him because of how believable his character was 😂 he was such a nice guy and such a great actor. I tried not to bring up the series too much but how can you not when you meet the great James Gandolfini
Finished watching the sopranos yesterday night, it was one hell of a show to say the least. James Gandolfini gave one of the greatest performances in tv history. I had never heard of the guy growing up because I didn’t watch much tv or read the news. This is the first video I’ve seen of James gandolfini outside of the sopranos, and it’s just amazing to see how nice of a guy he is irl. He really IS Tony Soprano, just without all the bad traits and I still find him pretty scary how after spending 6 seasons with him as a mob boss sociopath. He really was one of the greatest actors who ever lived, such a loss to the art of acting now that he’s gone.
True...Gandolfini was one of the greats. You might want to check out the last two films he made, shortly before his death. One is "Enough Said" and the other is "The Drop". Both are excellent.
God there are some people I just will never get over being gone. James is definitely one of those people. He was so damn down to earth and a really good guy! RIP
@@voronazavr “use yr head” or “smarten up” is a common phrase for us NY/NJ Italians to say when someone’s pissing us off and about to get a smack. Trust me. I heard it plenty growing up, lol. But it seems this one of those things where everyone will hear something different.
I heard a story once where James Gandolfini was on stage auditioning with an actress, and they warned the actress "James character is gonna get mad and yell at you", and they did, and the actress ran off stage in fright from Gandolfini going into beast mode.
I really miss James Gandolfini. I’ve been watching The Sopranos again and it’s still so hard to believe he is gone. He was so young and talented. I’ve heard that he was the nicest guy in Hollywood. He was very generous and caring. His son was on vacation with him when he passed away. His son did a great job playing young Tony Soprano. His dad would be so proud of him.
aram akrawi He says "So the guy is a finook (also spelled fanook)". It's derived from the Italian word "finocchio" or fennel, a derogatory term for homosexual or gay. It's used a lot in The Sopranos.
No matter what flick or show he was on, there was never a time you can't help but smile seeing James come on with the confidence and his stance. You always get the urge just to either praise or cheer him no matter what. RIP Gandolfini
I’ve recently finished the sopranos, I doubt we’ll get to watch another series that good. It’s really sad that James isn’t around anymore, such a talented actor!
I heard someone say how he acted with his eyes. It's something to look out for. His facial expressions could snap the moment of a scene in an instant. Amazing actor. He's up there amongst my favourites. RIP.
He was a great actor. All his friends speak to his generosity and kindness on the set. He was the exact opposite of Tony. He was good at his craft, was humble about it, and wasn't a nutbar like some of our other big name actors. Tom Cruise comes to mind. Amazing actor...complete nutbar IRL.
@@BinTtown I don’t really think Tom Cruise is that great an actor. Outside of Tropic Thunder (gotta give credit where credits due, that role was amazing) he plays mostly the same dude and his delivery as a “badass” is horrible. I can’t imagine even kind of being intimidated by Tom Cruise lol
James was always nervous when going in front of a crowd, you could still tell he was a little nervous here. But man, his acting was still so awesome, including here.

And here we are, nearly 20 years later, watching Gandolfini as Tony, say what most of us are thinking now.

@ItsStillRealToMe DamnIt Move along...
@ItsStillRealToMe DamnIt Well, I’m a woman, and I don’t like to be treated like crap. So good luck to you...
@ItsStillRealToMe DamnIt Tony S. is a fictional character. Might be helpful for you to remember that in your own life.
His quick smile he gave for one second after how you doing? He seems like he was the nicest guy who played the scariest guy of all time, RIP THE GOAT!

Did you watch all Saints of Newark?
I've never seen it...but i just got Hulu, so i think i will start
@@davidpolston2643 You’re so lucky. I wish I could watch sopranos and not have to wait a week for the next episode!!! Lol You will love it!

Big man, huge heart. He is sorely missed.
Rest In Peace James, you were a wonderful man and an amazing actor.
I ended it a few days back. Incredible actor, so versátil. Theadapttion
True...Gandolfini was one of the greats. You might want to check out the last two films he made, shortly before his death. One is "Enough Said" and the other is "The Drop". Both are excellent.
Just finished it today. I’m pissed I was a kid when this was on tv one of the best shows of All time
Just finished tonight. You took the words right out of my mouth. 🤍
Sociopath? He was a good guy.
He is so missed...by so many, man his smile is the best throughout this!!! ❤️
God there are some people I just will never get over being gone. James is definitely one of those people. He was so damn down to earth and a really good guy! RIP

I heard a story once where James Gandolfini was on stage auditioning with an actress, and they warned the actress "James character is gonna get mad and yell at you", and they did, and the actress ran off stage in fright from Gandolfini going into beast mode.

As part of the show Gandolfini had a dialogue coach. She was in the credits every week.
no bro this is Kevin Finnerty

you can tell when he turns it on too, the posture changes even, what a legend
Uhh actually it is 100% the same voice, he really doesn’t change his body language or voice in Sopranos. It’s not so amazing

It's 2021 and this still holds up lol James is definetely a one of a kind actor his legacy will live forever
That's so authentic and hilarious 😂😂
I really miss James Gandolfini. I’ve been watching The Sopranos again and it’s still so hard to believe he is gone. He was so young and talented. I’ve heard that he was the nicest guy in Hollywood. He was very generous and caring. His son was on vacation with him when he passed away. His son did a great job playing young Tony Soprano. His dad would be so proud of him.
One of the best sketches of SNL ever. James Gandolfini, what an actor. R.I.P.
Jan Kalina What does he say in 1:32 ( Sort of guy of ........ )??
aram akrawi He says "So the guy is a finook (also spelled fanook)". It's derived from the Italian word "finocchio" or fennel, a derogatory term for homosexual or gay. It's used a lot in The Sopranos.

I still miss James Gandolfini so much. A brilliant actor taken way too soon. Life is so unfair. 😢
Galdolfini was a gentle giant and bore no resemblance to Tony Soprano - when his character was angry - he was genuinely terrifying.
@@evangelionl0vr857 Have you seen Magnolia? He was really good in that one. Plays a hyper macho misogynistic pick up guru with severe daddy issues.
