Keenan’s face every time Doug gets an answer right tho
AFK Rynoz keenan: yesssss! YESSSSSSSS! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
lol
The whole skit revolved around reactions. Darnell's reaction when Doug gets the first one right, the awkward handshake, and the "Not a damn thing" reaction. Of course, the "What Lives Matter" had the best reactions of all. They KNEW where it was about to go!
Kenan makes this bit work, tbh.

“Not a damn thang” gets me every time. 😂😂😂😂
I had to watch that part over and over again. It was perfect.
I also like, "My guys name is Jimmy."

@Him Him Actually, women are having plastic surgery to enlarge their rear ends.
@Him Him It depends on what you call fat.
OMG right 😂😂😂😂 Sturdy gal
Tom's delivery of "what is, not a daaamn thing" is just so pure and golden. And the ladies' appreciative reaction to it just makes it even better. The writers and cast really outdid themselves with this one I'll tell ya h'what.

Um, no. They are pointing out black people and southern conservative white people have more in common than society will admit.

It's so damn good. The quick timing and the look on his face will always be one of those comedy bits I can start laughing about just thinking of it.

Absolutely! It's like he's reacting to playing spades with his white friend for the first time, and they know what they're doing haha.
Kenan lifts it to another level of excellence. There is no down-time in this skit.

This sketch perfectly illustrates that people are more separated by class than by race. Hilarious and ballsy.
HAH!! Exactly...United Arab Emirates: I know who they are in this soap opera but I had a blank spot the other day. I was watching a commercial and Jennifer Anniston was doing a commercial for Emmerites Airlines. She never or I hardly ever see her do commercials. It was just one of those weird things that just didnt sit right. Isnt that airline owned by Saudi Arabia? It didnt sit right, weird.
My take away is that people are 90% the same but the rest of the 10% really start defining who we are, in a lot of ways. This is why all the contestants were equally picking off the answers throughout the game show and why, when it came to Final Black Jeopardy, Doug was clearly going to lose and the host and other contestants clearly took issue with it. Black people feel marginalized and the single white guy couldn't see it from this perspective.
But, I definitely agree with you that this was hilarious and ballsy.
David Lor Let me ask you something. Since the installment (or election) of the countless black aldermen/women in the black neighborhoods, how much better have those neighborhoods fared economically, safety, and crime wise? Was there the improvement that was supposed to have been seen? I havent seen it. It just looks to me that the only blacks that had an improvement were those elected and their own inner circles. The rest stayed the same.
David Lor your comment just goes back to Berk's original point that people are actually separated by class and not by race.... If a black person feels marginalized it is largely because of some notion instilled into them from this idea of being part of a "black community" that is separate from the mainstream American culture at large. The political class both fosters and utilizes this exactly so that it can create the conditions where we believe ourselves, as a society, to be separated by race. So in a way we really are separated by race, at least apparently, but this separation is artificial and contrived having been created so that we don't become wise to the fact that it is only class that is separating us, naturally, in truth, in our so-called "classless society". This is why working class people of all races intuitively understand that the game is rigged and they are being conspired against. The real conspiracy is, of course, nothing like they imagine, but what they imagine has been fueled by the unconscious awareness of what is really happening to them.
I see the same change in other communities as well. What do you suppose is the culprit to this lack of change? And how can we address it?
"My wife, she's a sturdy gal 😂😂"
Kenan's "well it was good while it lasted, Doug" at the end is pure gold.

Aidan Morris he’s just portraying a hick 😂
@@mindyschocolate What cracks me up about that word "hick" is that most of y'all have no idea what livin in the rural south is even like. Go to the barber shop and see black and white folk sittin around shootin the breeze. Go to the river, pond or lake and you'll see white and black folk fishin and knockin back a few beers together shit talkin each other seein who's gonna catch the biggest. It's actually a shock for most of us when we venture out of our little neck of the woods and head up north or west for a vacation to places like NYC, Chicago, Cali & etc and all we see is black and white folk at each other's throats. It's not lost on us down here that whenever someone wants to portray a racist they immediately dawn a terrible southern accent but what's funny is all these hate crimes, police shootings and etc seem to be taking place in primarily non-southern areas..... more often than not they're in Democrat/Leftist controlled areas. I love this sketch. It shows it doesn't matter what ethnicity you are. People who live in disadvantaged economic conditions face similar challenges and come to similar conclusions.
Kenan Thompson's character blended perfectly with Tom Hanks' character.
It was as if they met in the parking lot of a Lowes or Home Depot.
100% authentic, sincere and realistic, as each and every one of us have encountered a Doug.
*Kenan
If you haven't.... You probably ARE Doug.
@@danman6669 *Keenan..... Now lower your head in shame
I actually know a person like this and his name is Doug
I actually have an Uncle Doug that is exactly like this character, only he's from Jersey. Still flies a Confederate flag, though. He's a fan of losers.
Proof that Tom Hanks can play pretty much any role
omg guys thank you so much I've never had this many likes on one comment!
Patron Best Actor ever
Patron Tom is great!
He also played himself in Celebrity Jeopardy :D
Patron any question?
Patron not to mention he can do a great accent as well. Have you seen him in "The Terminal" I think that's the name of the movie where he has to live in an airport for a long time. I believe it was based on a true story if I'm not mistaken.
My favourite SNL skit!
"Not a daamn thing!" made me burst out laughing the first time I heard it
I need these gems occasionally to remind me that SNL was once funny.
I like the way they did this sketch, to find more common ground rather than division. Well done, Hanks was great.
Yeah, they took a different angle than I was expecting. Made me laugh. Great skit.
FilmsFor SMARTpeople Kenan was killin' it too.
FilmsFor SMARTpeople reminds new of when comedy was a craft and not a predictable idealogical dig
eblalgen ya damn right
ya the writers for this were on point. What's funny is where I grew up it was a kind of blue collar neighborhood and Tom Hanks is exactly on point
