The sundering soulmonger seems like final boss/ secret boss material, having something that messes with the cycle of life and death as the ultimate challenge is cool
Having Pikmin as enemies is really cool; I think a video creating new Pikmin types would be nice: Hypnosis Pikmin: floats in the air, has no legs. Eyes are purple spirals. When attacking a creature, a bar (like that of Ice Pikmin) Fills up and makes the creature attack its own kind. If there are no others of the same kind, the creature walks in circles. Wind Pikmin: Very fragile, assist other Pikmin when moving items by pushing them with the wind. When under attack, these Pikmin protect everyone by sending gusts to hold back enemies. Sand Pikmin: Can camouflage, so enemies can't see them. Are good at digging, and when charged at a creature, a tornado is created, with its size and strength dependent on how many Sand Pikmin are in the attack. The sandstorm picks the creature up and throws it back onto the floor, dealing damage. Poison Pikmin: Best friends of White Pikmin, they can deal poison damage to enemies. Also resistant to poison, they can poison any creature that touches them. They emit a poisonous cloud during attacks.
@@legoshorts7818 Well I had an idea of a new Pikmin type for quite a while now, and I'd like to share it with you, I present to you : The Shooter Pikmins : As their name implies it, these pikmin's gimmick is that they can shoot lasers at the enemies just like the Man At Leg and the Gatling Groink do. And if you wonder, yes, just like those previously mentioned enemies, they are mechanised but friendly to Olimar. The reason why they are mechanised is probably because an onion assimilated a mechanical enemy and since, these pikmin types exist. I hope Parascom takes this idea for the next video.
@@legoshorts7818 here’s a pikmin concept I came up with: (Haven’t decided on a name so I’m using a placeholder name) Green pikmin: (Again, a place holder name) these pikmin have dark green bodies with orange eyes, they can walk through a pink ooze that other pikmin would get stuck in (like removed from the squad stuck), but to make sure you get them back, the green Pikmin can drag other pikmin out the ooze in the captains direction.
Here's an enemy idea. Trickmin worm: A mimic type enemy (like Creeping Crysanthemum, or Pellet Posers) that dwells underground in caves where you'd normally find small rings of extra pikmin. At first glance it resembles an unplucked Pikmin flower, but when a captain tries to pluck it, it reveals its long, wormlike body, like a garden eel with a flower snout, before spewing elemental damage around itself, trying to kill any pikmin around it. Red trickmin spew fire, yellow ones shoot electricity, blues shoot water, etc. For this reason they are best defeated by pikmin that match their color. They spawn near those groups of 5 pikmin flowers you sometimes find in the caves, so if you see a group of 6 flowers, you'll know that one of them is an imposter.
This is a really clever idea. But sometimes there are groups of more than 5. (I recall groups of 7 during one challenge) So would it just be 1 more than however many there should be?
I have one: The ______ Leech: Looks like a Bulborb Larva but with a mouth looking like an Arctic Cannon. It mainly attacks Oatchi (it feels weird that no enemies mainly attack the player or Oatchi), and latches onto it's side. Use the Pikmin to kill it, before it drains all of Oatchi's health. If the Leech is not killed fast enough, his health will be re-gained using Oatchi's health. Variants include: Luminescent Leech (Glows, only in caves) Giant Leech (Adult version, drains health faster Burrowing Leech (Makes holes underground and traps the whole squad, eats Pikmin as well, but is smaller) Flying Leech (Latches onto Oatchi and can only be attacked by Flying Pikmin, due to being in flight when latched on)
Glad to see the Pikmin series finally getting the attention it deserves. Your designs for these enemies are sick as heck, especially the Sundering Soulmonger. Keep up the good work! 👍
for an enemy idea, i've always liked the idea of a 3 legged arachnorb that mimics an onion specifically to trick pikmin call it the luring long legs i imagine it starts off immobile on the ground, similar to a man at legs, however, once it's unearthed and enough pikmin are attempting to lift it, the "onion" will flip upside down and it'll extend it's legs out initially it stomps around like any other member of it's family, though a bit faster to make up for the missing 4th leg after a while of stomping it'll slam down 2 legs at once and send the 3rd flying over itself until it's flipped, leaving the fake onion upright while the "onion" is right side up the luring long legs will start using attacks like fake pikmin seeds that damage targets they land on, or an onion tractor beam that pulls your captain and pikmin up into the air, acting similarly to a stronger jellyfloat vacuum maybe it could even give little false signals to the pikmin such as telling them to try and climb inside, causing them to try reaching it's legs until they're either stomped or whistled back
A fake Onion enemy is genius! I remember one enemy in a Pikmin mod being remodeled to look like an Onion. It would've been great for Pikmin 4, considering there exists Flarlic and multiple Onions for some colors.
On the topic of enemies that fight with treasures, I had a idea for one. The Knight Dweevil. This special Dweevil could be found in caves, carrying two treasures from the Sword and Shield series. They would often carry a plastic sword, and one of the badges as a shield. They would slash the sword like the crab boss from Pikmin 2 slashes it’s claw, and block Pikmin throws with the “shield” until enough force hits it. Whether or not it’s deadly is optional, but it can be found on the ground or jumping down from the ceiling in caves. If Pikmin get on it, it would wildly shake them off. There’s also a boss variant, called the Ruby Dweevil, but that’s a story for another website.
these have once again completely blown me away. the ideas are always inanely good and the art is absolutely phenomenal. having a new poison enemy is also an extra win for me of course. Although simple, I would like to see a future video Create something like a Robotic Dirigibug that launches Mines or Tracker Bombs, or potentially your take on my own Arctic Dirigibug that throws icebombs! Keep up you AMAZING work. We truely love your content
Horror in seemingly innocent videogames is something I adore to see, and that last enemy was so foreboding yet such a cool concept. Nintendo should hire you as a concept artist
I love the soulmonger just a peak into the world of pikmin, showing that beneath all the wildlife, treasures, and enemies just being predators wanting to survive, there is at least some form of pure, true evil, something that has no instincts to eat or survive, something that only has malicious intent, we have Sean hints of this with the water wraith, but now, you’re looking at evil, right in its face, or rather, its mask
Small idea, maybe the murkgrab doesn't cast a shadow, but it's glowing eyes shine a little green dot on the floor to increase its visibility a little bit. Maybe lore-wise they have use it as a spotlight in the darkness of caves?
I have an enemy idea: “The Synthetic Spectralid” its a spectralid-like species that doesn’t target pikmin whatsoever, instead it floats around playing a jammy beat that distract pikmin and takes them out of your squad! (Similar to the groovy long legs) and I know this enemy sound obnoxious, but it will drop a spicy spray after death. (Also the pattern on their wings are like on a dance floor!)
Absolutely incredible work, I can’t state how much I loved this, especially the Billiard Bug! While I’m here I’d like to suggest a enemy idea I came up with while watching: The Burnt Bread Bug - A bread bug, following the bread aspect, that has been left in a hot cavern for to long and has been quite charred. - Behaving like normal bread bugs they try and steal your items, however to add to the difficulty, their path will leave a burning trail that requires the use of Red Pikmin to put out. - An extra idea as well to add to it, is when you try to squish it, perhaps with a Purple Pikmin, it will then retaliate by launching a volcanic orb of its back towards the captain. If you see this feel free to do whatever you want with this idea, but more importantly know how well of a job your doing!
I also have a variant on the bread bug. The Preserved Bread Bug would be the Ice variant. Unlike normal bread bugs, it takes Pikmin in its mouth, but does not eat them. It takes 10 Pikmin, then spits them out somewhere. It repeats until you have no Pikmin. Then it does the same to the captain but the unique freezing method would do damage to the captain until they faint. However, if the captain is within the preserved Pikmin, the captain can whistle Pikmin out of the frozen status to prevent a soft lock. Those Pikmin are frozen in a unique way such that whistling will not work until the Preserved Bread Bug is dead, or unless the captain is frozen as well.
This was incredible, I don’t have any ideas of my own but the spark wisp was adorable and oh my god the sundering soulmonger is amazing, just like the man of the hour, your unique enemy ideas especially your bosses are incredible
The Sundering Soulmonger is genuinely such a cool idea for a boss and for a cave concept With this thing summoning enemies you defeated in the cave suddenly the player has to decide which enemies to defeat and which ones to leave alone, the easier they make the floors for themselves the harder the boss itself will become, and even if the game forces you to defeat most if not all of the enemies on a floor (via locking the next floor behind those numbered gates from Pikmin 4) then the player would still have to be super careful about Pikmin casualties. I absolutely adore this boss idea and the design would definitely scare some people (kids especially) when playing for the first time You are doing a great job with these Pikmin enemy concepts and the 2 bosses you’ve made have definitely been my favorites so far, especially the Sundering Soulmonger
Amazing video and Art! This is top tier stuff in my opinion. As for the viewer recommendation of art, I'm not so good at drawing myself, and I would love to see one of my childhood ideas become a reality. The Platter Splatter is a very colorful, vibrant, squidlike enemy that would lay flat on a wall. (As in a cave with spray painted walls to blend in). When you walk by this wall, it's two eyes appear on the wall before jumping out at your pikmin a few seconds later. It would use one of its long tentacles to stick as many pikmin on it, and then drop them one by one into its mouth. Once again, I applaud you for your amazing talent!
Had an idea for a boss or sub-boss variant to the Skitter Leaf: the Skitter Wreath! A larger mutation of the standard Leaves, it acts as a living nest for its smaller relatives to protect them when their disguises fail, as they have been lately due to increased success for one of their predators: Pikmin. Also had the Coralbelching Meerslug, an aquatic cousin to the Sandbelching variety capable of swimming that bites off and swallows chunks of coral to then gain nourishment from and spit out as heavy projectiles.
I absolutely love the idea for the soul monger and how if can very in difficulty depending on what enemies you kill in the cave. Your descriptions are always so atmospheric! Keep it up!
The Sundering Soulmonger is awesome! I love how it plays like a bigger boss fight, like in Pikmin 3. The bosses in 2 and 4 were fun, but they didn't feel nearly as grandiose. For a Pikmin enemy idea, I wanted the player to interact with it through more than just fighting. Why shouldn't there be other (somewhat) peaceful intelligent species? I present: the Thunderclasp Raintrekker! The TR is a creature so gargantuan, only its clawed, rain-colored limbs are visible during normal gameplay. Zooming out reveals it to have a wooly, raincloud-like body and a head that glows softly like the sun. The TR slowly wanders around an area, taking items, treasures, and enemies it sees and trapping them in its wool. Any Pikmin holding onto something it takes will fall off. The player can fight the TR for its current items plus some extra loot, but it's extremely aggressive in battle and will even send the live enemies it carries to attack. It'll drop its items and more loot and run at half HP, and upon defeat, it'll drop items again and leave for the day (so it can't be farmed). The TR can also trade! Purposefully leaving items for it to take will make a number display appear in front of it, showing the total value of items gifted to it and a target total value to reach. Reaching the target will make it offer back something very valuable, like treasure. Otherwise, it'll leave behind other items worth about as much as it received. To incentivize trading with the TR, some treasures must be earned this way.
A cool secret for the Sundering Soulmonger could be that if you manage to complete the cave without killing enemies or losing pikmin up to the boss, it would just keel over half dead from lack of souls. This might also restrict its ability to use enemies during its summoning phases.
Love to see the second video in this series! Love all the new ideas. I can't think of anything super unique at the moment, but I'd love to see more "infant" versions of enemies like the Downy Snagret. They're not bombastic enemies testing design waters, but I love further building on Pikmin's ecosystem and giving a sense of life and making the world feel lived in. A great way to explore this is to do "levelled down" versions of the Pikmin 3 bosses. Like a baby/juvenile Armored Mawdad or Sandbelching Meerslug; being smaller and more fit for regular level design before they reach their monstrous adult forms but still bringing their unique boss mechanics in a smaller scale. For example, a juvenile Armored Mawdad could have a thinner layer of crystal armor that's still enough to block normal Pikmin attacks, but Rocks can shatter it instantly while Purples can deal half damage, since it's shell is not as strong yet. a baby Sandbelching Meerslug could act Shearwigs at first, but if you let it burrow back underground, it creates a small single hole trap to eat even more Pikmin.
Here's an idea for a boss. The Ink Wraith, this is a tiny black Wraiths. Normally, they are nothing but enemies when they are fought in their caves, but they have a unique ability to control objects, specifically two treasures, when you enter the floors of the bosses, an Ink Wraith will turn into a small water droplet and fall into the treasures, and possess it. The treasures are that of a 3d printed figure of a bug (possibly a centipede or a Trilobite, which fight will be like the Armored mawdad, with an attack similar to the segmented crawbster where it will roll into a ball and it will slam into a wall, revealing the weakspot of a black lump on the underside), and the other (the final boss of the cave) is a 3d printed skeleton of a dinosaur (a T-rex or Spinosaurus) where it jump to crush the Pikmin, use the jaws to bite them, knock them away with a tail, and charge into them (which can cause it to trip or slam into a wall, which let's you attack it weakpoint inside the ribcage). When the bosses are defending, they leave behind the treasures.
Boxer beetle (based on the box-elder bug) A sleek beetle with comical bright red boxer gloves as front hands that knuckle around and when spoting you party, it clashes it fists and scurrys up to you party and trys to subdue your party with fast, and brutal punches. The boxer beetle’s eyes will flash right before it attacks, as a refrence to the punch out franchise, along with the music for its fight will end with a bell when defeted(for stupid detail) Not all that large (around blowhog size) and has a surprisingly large health pool, and would be found on high surfaces, or maybe a mini boxing ring as a boss(would be larger then) searching for a challenge, and scurrying when down, it leads with a quick jab to your captain/ otachi and starting quick boxing music. Hope you like my idea!
This pikmin enemy came to me in a dream, thought I'd submit it as an idea: The Creeping Clampcruncher (say that 3 times fast) Its appearance is a lobster/crawfish type of creature (it was purple in my dream, but you can color it anyway that you like ^_^) with a large block of stone and moss on top of its back, and perhaps a special flower. I didn't get any ideas of how it would attack from the dream itself, but going off of its design, I'd assume it would burrow underground like the creeping chrysanthemum and pop out when you approach it.
I love how the billiard bug is just a dung beetle. It’s just so brilliant. Reminds me of Rellor just existing in pokemon S/V and just being a dung beetle. Also, here’s my idea: You can choose the name if you want. This creature takes the form of a ball treasure, and the treasure radar *will* do its thing. However, it has five holes all around the bottom. It’s idle is either waiting for you to sacrifice a pikmin to try and grab it, or just by leaving it alone and watching it from a distance. Upon trying to lift it up (or by leaving it alone), five spider-like limbs will exit the holes. And two eyes open on the fake treasure. It will scurry around if you were leaving it alone, but if you weren’t, it will try it’s best to take out your squad. Whats that i hear you asking? How will it take out your squad? Well. This creature has a spike around the top and bottom of each leg. It will pop out these spikes to try impaling pikmin. If it is unable to stab any pikmin for a while, it’ll resort to breaking a hole into the top, front and back. This gives vulnerable spots, at a price. You know how i said there were spikes? They can come from the sides too. It will give off a warning about it by making a hissing noise. Best to call in any pikmin on it when you hear that hissing sound. After the hissing ends, the spikes will THRUST out, stabbing any unfortunate pikmin that werent called in. It could also try to crush, by retracting it’s limbs above any pikmin (perhaps captains too if there arent any pikmin) and dropping. It’s a nice idea in my opinion..
These enemies are nightmarishly in good way especially that last one triggered my Pikmin 2 PTSD also I seriously can’t wait to see your take on aquatic enemies 👍🏻
I REALLY like the idea of the Sundering Soulmonger using the creatures you've killed in previous levels of the cave against you as a 1:1 formula. If you're like me and clear out caves of all dangers before moving on, the boss fight could be much more hectic than if you breeze through it. Thinking about how you as the player could affect the difficulty of the fight would add another layer of depth to this enemy and the cave itself. You might have to strategize what's worth killing to make the floor you're on safe, knowing that it will be added to the horde of the dead later. Like, Bulborbs, Sheargrubs and Puffy Blowhogs aren't too hard to deal with on their own, but they would become much more dangerous if put together in the boss's arena. It'd really give players reason to play differently, perhaps even to the point where collecting treasure on different floors becomes more of a puzzle. On the other hand, maybe you want an overwhelming challenge.
I have an idea for a new Arachnorb that pretends to be the Purple Onion. It sits on the ground in a sublevel after a boss fight with an Emperor Bulblax or something, seeming like a reward. All of a sudden, 4 legs emerge, revealing the Purple Stomper. It can crush and kill Pikmin, as well as spawn Puffmin, but when Pikmin are thrown onto it, instead of shaking them off, it opens the bottom up, and reveals it's secret weapon, a massive tongue that eats up to 10 Pikmin. When defeated, it is revealed that it was a parasite controlling the Purple Onion, and the player receives it as a reward.
Here's my recommendation: The culinary creature. It would only appear in kitchen themed caves. It resembles a spider creature inside a chef's hat (ratatouille style) it approaches your squad, trying to capture as many pikmin with its hat. He will drag along the pikmin he has capture to his base like a breadbug. His base is a pan in a stove. If you don't rescue the pikmin faster enough, the enemy will stand on the pan and turn the stove on, burning all the pikmin. The only way to defeat him is by using winged pikmin to lift the hat and reveal its body, which you can then beat.
Another enemy idea: the Anode Scornet Maestro This would be a puzzle boss in an industrial themed cave. It is a metal version of the original, connected to the floor by wires. It’s a different version of the Scornet Maestro, but fought very differently. The boss arena is composed of an inner area, where you actually attack the boss, and an outer area, which will be explained later The boss will always have a shield of electric scornets surrounding it, occasionally sending out some to attack. The boss can’t be damaged, but the shield can, and then the boss can be weighed down. In the outer area of the arena is a dandori challenge, pretty much. Various plugs must be moved to their designated spots, with switches that must be on and off at certain points, bridges to build, required Candypop buds, and smaller enemies. The main objectives, the plugs, are normally weighed down by indestructible scornets and can’t be moved normally. When the boss is weighed down by 20 pikmin, he loses control of the scornets and they leave, leaving the dandori challenge open for a minute. When the boss is about to get up. He audibly starts to, and after 10 seconds, he will violently get up with a burst of electricity, killing any pikmin but yellows. He also screeches with a similar effect to a bulblax roar so you don’t get a headstart the next time you knock him down. So you need to get back down to the inner area quickly when he starts getting up. When the boss is up, the indestructible scornets will slowly but surely move the plugs back to their starting positions, except for ones that were already moved to their goals. After many cycles of this, the plugs will all be in their goals, and they will charge the boss with too much electricity and it will die
hey so I watched the first video but didn't comment but I have to say, all these designs are great and the art that comes with them are unecessary but amazing. the only complaint I had with the previous designs is that some of them didn't feel "pikminy" but these ones all clear this margin the threaded murkgrab is the perfect example of this. the beady eyes, the tongue, and the mechanic sounds frightening yet fun at the same time i love the billard bug, once again very pikmin, the eyes and mouth piece, and the concept of not only the bug using the treasure but using the ball as a weapon to the nearby environment is great sparkwisp is the only new concept for a new honeywisp that works. brining back the lightbulb mechanics and expanding on them with a unique floating enemy. you also mentioned how the "glass" is more of a shell which I like because it feels more natural than what it is based on toxerhop is amazing first, I love the fact you picked out an enemy design from the comments to do, and second, you made it really well. the OG Wollyhop base and the neon colours while still keeping with the poison colouring is commendable. really made the concept flourish into life and finally the sundering soulmonger, you managed to make a pikmin boss creepy and unsettling in the way pikmin 1 and 2 did it perfectly its amazing. the mechanic also has a lot you can do with it, like playing without killing enemies to make the fight easy (though there should be enemy doors that you need to kill some enemies to get down there) the rebithed shadow enemies also look great, love how they are just cloudy and misty, and the bug itself feels pikmny again, but the mask works so well for this more nightmarish design and the idea of veins on the inside is prefecto messed-up I love it oh and I can't not suggest something for ya, cuz I've had this idea for a while, how about a Moldy Breadbug? A breadbug that has formed a symbiosis with the Toxstool with some of its fungi growing on itself, which brings corpses back to its nests to turn them into moldy variants if possible (the nest would be like the old breadbug nests, any pikmin brought there die, and would be a nice way to bring the old mechanic) so for example a dwarf bulborb gets brought back a moldy dwarf bulborb comes out, anything that can't be infected (enemy or treasure) pops back out when defeated. a final note, like the moldy dwarf bulborb, it emits poison gas clouds when pikmin are thrown directly on top of it, so tug of war is actually recommended for fighting it (also moldy bread haha) but overall amazing series so far, if I could I would but a t-shirt (i don't know which bug I would buy though)
Loving these videos! You’ve absolutely earned a sub! Now here’s my idea: The Torching Blowhog! It’s like the Puffy/Icy Blowhog, but it’s a deep fiery red-and-orange combo with a royal blue coloring on its snout. Instead of the typical attack style where it just blows a gust of wind in your direction, it attacks by pointing itself straight down and pursuing your Pikmin while continually breathing out a blue flame like a blowtorch. Plus, the lore of it keeping itself in the air using pretty much the same method as a hot air balloon is an idea that’s quite amusing to me.
@@BazTheDryBonesFan oh you meant an airborne blowhog, that makes so much more sense. I completely forgot Icy Blowhogs exist since they're only in one area.
While there was no funny cat, it's still really cool to see you design and paint these hypothetical enemies. Your art is absolutely solid, my only criticisms are that the Billiard Bug could use some additional ambient lighting from the billiard ball it rolls around, as well as some strange color changes while designing the Toxorhop. Don't get me wrong, I do like the final color scheme a great deal, as it still communicates the poison dart frog idea, I just think that it would work a bit better if instead of going from a light blue to green, to dial it towards the sickly cyan color that poison has in Pikmin 4. These are just my thoughts, of course, and I still rank these at least at 8.5/10. As for enemies I would like to see designed, I am curious what your take on an original Wraith style enemy would be. I was slightly disappointed that the "Frozen Inferno" cave, despite seeming like a counterpart to the Submerged/Engulfed Castle, did not feature a similar mechanic and boss. Some things that I would personally go for when designing an elemental Wraith would be boiled down to a few crucial details: they are synonymous with the element that the Pikmin you enter the cave with, yet despite this, they attack via a hazard that said type of Pikmin is vulnerable to. Additionally, there would be one type of Pikmin that is the only way to properly attack, only at the end of the cave, and in a manner that would make some thematic sense.
I had an idea for an enemy: the Raging Bullblax (misspelling Bulblax is intended) It would be found in a cave themed around only being able to use oatchi. It’s a boss with an arena that is a high round table, and the floor underneath it had elevators going back up to the table. You essentially fight it in a sumo match. It’s main attack would be to charge for the captain like a bull, and stop itself right before falling off the table. It only goes for the captain, so you would have to have the captain and oatchi in different places, and rush it from the side while it is distracted running for the captain. Successfully doing this would stop the Bullblax in the middle of his running, but if he hits the captain, the captain will be sent flying off the table, having to walk back up to the table while the boss can regenerate health. The boss would have other attacks too but I can’t think of them right now. If the boss is at 0 health, then he will rush one last time and fall of the table if he misses. Then the player can jump back down to the floor, collect the treasure and corpse (since the entrance and exit would be on the floor) and exit the cave.
I love this series so much! It's cool to see these creature ideas come to life! Also this got me thinking of my own idea for a custom enemy so I wanna share it now! So you know the iconic Fiery Bulblax of course, so I thought to make a water version as well akin to Fiery and Watery Blowhogs! It'd look a lot less melted than it's Fiery cousin and have water all over it's back! Here's the creative parts tho, the Watery Bulblax would have a unique shake effect where when it tries to shake Pikmin off it'll shake all it's water off of it's back in a manner akin to that of the Monster Pump attack from the Titan Dweevil! This would allow normal Pikmin to attack it for a short time before it regains it's watery hide but still be best fought with Blues due to the water flying everywhere when it shakes. That's not all tho as if you happen to throw 20 Ice Pikmin you could freeze it's water on it's back making it move slower and having normal Pikmin be able to attack it until it shakes thus dislodging the Ice Pikmin and eventually having the ice melt back into water
Oh I'm totally with you, I love the horror aspects of Pikmin. I don't have any enemy ideas, but I'd love to see another creepy character in the next installment!
I thought oatchi's rush made the game very easy, so I came up with a new enemy: the shielding aristocrab. It has one large claw it protects itself with, almost like a knight in armour and a shield, so you can't charge oatchi or your pikmin at it. To defeat it you have to throw your pikmin on it from above (yellow pikmin will help, but aren't necessary). The shielding aristocrab attacks by slamming its 'shield' downwards on any pikmin standing nearby, crushing them. But if you can't really take advantage of this, because the aristocrab is very quick to pull up its shield again.
Overloaded man at legs, i know the man of the hour exists but i just love the man at legs and his underutilising in 4 is so sad. New mechanics: Huge health boost. Overloaded laser: normal fire mode has a 20% chance to either get 10% faster or slower and stacks. Laser beam shoots a giant laser with a clear path marked. Dwevil rain is when the boss shoots the ceiling and causes volatile dwevils to drop down. The man at legs can also shoot while moving when below half health. The dwevil uses its thin legs to rapidly stab pikmin, rock pikmin are immune. Desperation phase. When the boss is low on health, it will spew lava and run around randomly firing until it eventually explodes, with a kill box. The boss is simply a more rusty man at legs with it orange inside more exposed. Its gun is also out but will point to the ground when its not activated. As a bonus too if the boss is hit with purple pikmin, it will enrage and shake them off immediately entering a laser phase with no time for the player to react :)
My idea is a night expedition boss, that requires you to charge your glow pikmin into a ball and aim at the glowing spots, but if you hit the ones that are pulsing, the glow pikmin get knocked vulnerable and need to be whistled back up, or they would get swallowed up. Also loved the designs, especially the billiard bug.
Loved this video! I had an idea for an enemy, the Luring Lumifang, based off an anglerfish, this creature lives in caves. It resides near bodies of water. Once Pikmin are near its glowing orb inflicts the Disco effect near it, it then walks away leading the controlled Pikmin into the water. It patrols its area like a Bulbear, and it must be attacked on its large black eyes. All other attacks slip off it’s wet scaly skin.
I got an idea: the Fizzled Popper! Its a long, spindly, 4-legged spider with hands on the ends of its legs. Its covered in long hairs and has very little health. But here's the big thing; its hiding its venerable head inside an old soda can, with holes in the sides for its legs. Pikmin can climb up it's legs and try to break the can, but it takes a lot of hits. It'll try to crush pikmin by slamming down on top of them. After a bit it'll try to shake off any pikmin on it, but what happens when you shake a soda can? KABOOM! The can bursts open and the Fizzled Popper is left armorless and venerable.
I really enjoy your designs so much !!!!! Ive been having pikmin enemy ideas, but here's one ! I don't have a name for them yet, but they're basically a sort of sea creature, meaning blue pikmin are priority for attacking ! They're kinda like cheep cheeps ! They jump in the air when the captain's pikmin squad is nearby, before slamming downward back into the water and splashing it at the pikmin, causing them to scatter and potentially fall into the body of water and drown After collapsing back into the water, it'll be stunned, giving a window to throw blue pikmin at it !
1. Love the Flux Construct battle music in the background. 2. My idea for a pikmin enemy is called... the slumflitter. It's a nighttime/cave enemy that has a nest where slumflitter larve come out and attack pikmin. The slumflitter larve are covered in a watery shell, so blue pikmin are required to beak them. The mama slumflitter comes out when you or a pikmin comes to close to her nest. She will instantly start attacking after she is out of the nest. She has a swooping attack, and a water shot attack, and maybe the Mama slumflitter will make her nests in tunnels or corridors, blocking treasures.
Okay! Gonna throw my hat in the ring! A scornet inspired swarm enemy that each have shield-like reflective planes on their heads or faces. When grouped in formation, they circle up to resemble a Disco Ball, unable to be damaged. As you fell more and more of the little flies, their discoball formation has more pieces missing :D I feel like their attack patterns could create various light show patterns, maybe confusing the pikmin? Winged pikmin would be the saviors of the fight, of course, but maybe Red or Purple pikmin could also come in handy; an attack with concentrated light between two or three of the flies that sets a pikmin on fire? Perhaps their formations could be interrupted prematurely with a big enough disruption? Some ideas for thought! I don't have any name ideas, but it could be very fun! Loved the video! Great work as always 🎉
I love your content; it has inspired me to start making my own custom Pikmin thing. Not just enemies, or new types of Pikmin, but entire new levels instead. It something people don't think about but is important to the games. If you want to, you can create your own level ideas. Here a suggestion thought. At the first landing site in Serene Shores, there a little alcove that goes into the grass, it would be perfect to do a whole level around the large foliage covering the screen. Also, on the level map, there a river that separates the main levels, and the post-game levels, in that river is a little island. The theme that's in the Serene Shore's alcove and the level map's island in the river, would make a GREAT video topic, and your artistic skill can make beautiful level pictures and level maps. It's a unique video topic and you can also extend this to caves as well, you can make a video on "The foreboding fortress" idea you made in this video as well. Well, hope you see this comment as your videos have inspire me to try a new skill I didn't tackle very often.
Man I wish the Pikmin Devs would hire you, I want that Billiard Bug idea so badly in a Pikmin Game. Keep up the good work with these AMAZING ideas and designs.
A random house item upside-down gave me an idea I’d love to see you make. I call it the Sheilian Slopper. It has a vase-like shell that can’t be broken at all. It’s like an octopus since it has tentacles. By sending Pikmin to rip of the tentacles, you can deal damage to it. Once all 8 tentacles have been ripped of, then the Sheilian Slopper will die. It attacks by taking it’s mouth out of the vase hole and sucking Pikmin up. I would love to see you make this, but if you don’t see this or want to do it, I understand :)
I love your art, it looks very unique, and I like that Enemy idea(I’m bad with names): An enemy that is composed of a goo-like substance that would fly around and try to reach a glob of itself into your captain, and if it did you would slowly take damage and your pikmin would try to save you, but would die slowly as well( ice would freeze it slowly but still take damage) and you would mash the a button to get out, and if you did the pikmin inside and the captain would be freed, but worse for wear. (It would be like the threaded murkgrab in the way that it would snatch you, but outside
You deserve SO much more! Seriously, the editing, the way of speetch and specialy the beautifull art and ideas so good that fit perfectly on a real pikmin game, is not something that 10 year old Pedro did, its actual good ideias that whould fit in very well and be also fun, keep up with the incredible work seriously
First of all- I want to say that the concepts and drawings you make are just amazing! I really love those ideas and wanted to say it^^ And I also wanted to present you an enemy idea…it might be not as good others but I hope you like it! The Thieving Tunnelbug: Design: It is a bug similar to a Psychoplex with a rounder shaped body and eight fuzzy legs. Instead of the shell it has 2 bug-like wings and it has a mouth with sharp teeths. Its eyes are like the ones The Threaded Murkgrab has yet eyes are replaced with dragonfly-like eyes. Its colour patterns are depended on wich place it lives for example if it is in a snowy region it has colours associated with ice and snow. Function/Concept: It lives in tunnels most of the time. Its eyes are sticking out of its tunnels to warn the player. If a pikmin, Oatchi or the player run in the near of the tunnel it will speed out of it and catches its prey (Max: 4). Then it drags its prey into its tunnel so it can eat its prey or if its Oatchi or the player it just deals damage. While it drags its prey you are able to throw Pikmin on its back wich makes it return in its tunnel losing its prey. After six times done it will fly away. And it can also drop an random item. (Variants: Iced Tunnelbug, Poisoned Tunnelbug, Firey Tunnelbug, Electric Tunnelbug, Water Tunnelbug, Giant Tunnelbug [Max-Prey: 8] {I just did these variants for completion I think that was unnecessary xd} I hope you will see this comment and I hope you will like this idea^^ Sorry if its a little long I just wanted to detail it😅 But anyways- Byyyeee!
Your designs in these videos are always so fun and unique but still look like they'd fit in really well with the rest of pikmin's enemies! I really hope you continue this series - I'd love to see a rhythm-based enemy personally, something you'd have to time your throws with to beat?
Here is a design I just made up :) a variant of the water wraith or plasma wraith called the transform wraith which disguises itself as a normal enemy but at first it wont attack you till the player attacks it then it transforms and traps any pikmin attacking it in a sticky goo that dissipates when whistled at but if you don’t do it in time the transform wraith devours any pikmin trapped in the goo. Heres what louie would say for it in the piklopedia ‘’ this would go great slathered on breadbug bread”. Hope the transform wraith gets in :)
Enemy idea: The Watchful Slithermoak. Based off of a baby eel, known for their glassy and almost transparent look. It would only be found underwater, more likely to spawn in the tide pool like areas that Pikmin 4 has. The bottom half of the slithermoak would remain in the sand below it while the top half would always be on alert. Kind of like an underwater snagret (but waay smaller, would probably be able to eat 1-3 pikmin per attack cycle.) When the slithermoak is on alert you can try to damage it, it has a relatively small health bar but actually doing damage to it is difficult. It is well, slithery and hard to hit, it shakes pikmin off of it quite often so you would only do slivers of damage at a time while it gets to feast on your pikmin. However, there is another way of defeating it that i find really interesting. The Watchful Slithermoak never goes fully under the sand to hide, unless it spots it's number 1 predator nearby, the Puckering Blinnow. If the blinnow is within it's radius the Slithermoak takes cover into a pit under it which if you send pikmin after they can then dig up the Slithermoak and leave it defenseless, letting you easily defeat the enemy. The part of the enemy design here I like so much is within the idea of the different ways to deal with it. You can try to brute force it with as many blue pikmin as possible but risk most likely losing probably 5-10 in the process, or you can lure over a Blinnow and play both sides. Dig up the Slither moak as you deal with the Blinnow, turning this fight towards the more tactical sides of Pikmin that the games are based around. If you want to lose 0 pikmin to this creature, you've really gotta flex your dandori muscles. Another thing I enjoy toying with is the concept of enemies interacting with each other. There really haven't been many pikmin enemies that are trying to eat each other, it's really all about the other pikmin enemies trying to eat the pikmin. Which in a gameplay perspective I understand, but with this enemy I think it would be very interesting to see if players would rather try to fight two at once or fight them individually. It's also great for world building, showing the different elements of Pikmin's expansive ecosystem. Look up what a baby eel looks like, it's pretty much that but with probably more internal details and when you pull it out the end of it's tail would almost look like a leaf. With a strong point at the end and a similar pointy triangle to each side but a little bit farther up the slithermoak's torso (or whatever you'd call the tube-like part of an eel's body), these are muscles that the Slithermoak can retract while they are set under sand to send it's full body quickly and fully into the sand. And it can use the point at the end of the tail to dig farther below itself whilst doing so. It would also have the ability to contract most of the muscles on it's body to become around half it's original body length.
Here's an enemy I designed when I was 6 after watching my brother play Pikmin 2 for the first time: The Treasureblax (name can be changed, possibly Glintblax) A bulblax species that collects treasures and glues them to its back. It has a pocket watch as an eye and a heavy underbite. It attacks when any treasures are collected in the area, and sleeps buried with its stopwatch eye poking from the ground. The fight is similar to the Emperor bulblax. It spits globs of sticky saliva on the floor to capture Pikmin, which it then licks up at its leisure. You have to take the treasures off of its back while it's distracted to reveal its soft greyish back. Love what you do! Concept art and creature design are my forte, and I always love finding others with wacky ideas like mine. Keep it up bruvvah.
The billiard bug is amazing. I love the idea that unlike the cannon beetles, its crushing hazard is one that the player is in control of firing, and I think it'd be hilarious to use its ball to damage other enemies. I can also imagine a new player accidentally launching the ball into a wall and having it bounce back and crush them and their Pikmin. A double-edged sword!
Also, for the Soulmonger, since in most caves it's possible to just run to the final sublevel without losing any Pikmin or killing any creatures, maybe its cave borrows from Cavern for a King in that every hole leading to a deeper sublevel is locked behind a gate that can only be lowered by defeating all of the creatures on that sublevel.
Ironically, losing Pikmin to Pikmin 2's cave hazards is still an avoidable thing. Though you have to act quickly, when falling rocks spawn in there is a shadow to show where it will land, letting you evade with the swarm mechanic if you have good reaction time. Additionally, the bomb rocks have a surprisingly generous timer, once again allowing you time to react. Not to mention you can also use the captain and a single Pikmin to scope out the area to check for traps in needed, allowing you to counter all traps completely. Pretty much the only time its blatantly unfair is when they drop literal enemies onto you, like that dang Bulbear in that _one_ sublevel... (that and the Water Wraith, which can sometimes spawn right where you're standing).
I also made a wollyhop member (boss) the ancient bigmouth wollyhop a large wolly hop, she has a poison tongue I also made a new item from Don which gives you gloves for your pikmin and boots for them, these are needed to combat her, she has eggs laying around to spawn baby wollyhops, purple with gloves (four needed) to hold down the tongue and pikmin with boots will run on her tongue and beat her up, she is also gluttonous (design: brown top half of the body and gray lower half of the body and grey legs and half brown lower legs with cyan toes and eyes and short but big like the white wollyhop
Here's an enemy idea: The Mimute is a variation of the Mamuta, this one's the size of a captain and is generally in a cave sublevel along with normal Mamutas. The Mimute actually can pluck Pikmins and use them like a normal captain, including against you. It's setup is simple: The normal Mamutas bury your pikmins and the Mimute comes and pluck them, attacking you in the process. You actually can call back your pikmins but the Mimute is FAST, and the Mamutas have made your pikmins bloom so it's pretty hard to aim correctly and get all your squad back at once. ALSO THE SOULMONGER IS LEGIT MY FAVE FAN PIKMIN IDEA I WISH IT WA SIN THE GAMES
Damn! That last enemy slaps hard! I'd love it if it was a real boss, that'd make a hell ton of theories and lore to the Pikmin Franchise. Love your work btw keep going! That's some crazy drawings right there!
Love all these creatures. Favorite is the sundering soul monger. Such a brilliant concept for a boss battle. Puppet ghost of fallen enemies and Pikmin sound incredible to face.
Honestly these are so cool 💖 I made an enemy a while back that was called the titan motherslug. It’s a massive slug like creature, that’s just docile. It roams the outer world map and collects pikmin that are free/ not in the captains party. And on top of this, will protect the pikmin in its care from other roaming enemies.
Really nice video! I enjoyed the completely original enemies aswell as the toxerhop and sparkwisp. For my reccomendation, it would be really cool to see an arctic darijibug that would carry ice rocks instead of bomb rocks. If my suggestion doesn’t make it in the video, i’ll still be excited for what suggestion DID make it in the video. Bye!!!!!
These are all awesome! The Sundering Soulmonger seems really tough and really cool, and I think it'd be cool if glow pikmin were effective against it in a few ways, just to give players some kind of retaliation against it. Stuff like glow pikmin, because of their whole 'being light' gimmick, wouldn't make souls, and maybe they COULD target the shadow bodies of the enemies.
These enemy ideas are amazing. A random enemy idea I have: An arachnorb that has a Nintendo 64 or Gamecube as a shell! While it would have the normal stomping and shaking that most arachnorbs, it also has a pixel or polygon fountain attack, raining small pixels or polygons (depending on if it's an N64 or Gamecube) that are each big enough to crush one or two Pikmin. While that's it for the N64 version, the Gamecube version's polygons could form into low-res Dwarf Bulborbs. I'm not sure of a good name for this enemy tho. I just like the idea of an enemy being a reference.
My suggestion for a boss/miniboss is the unseen mask. When you find it, it'll warble around you until you hit it. Then, it'll send you to 1/4 dangerous dimensions, each one focusing on a different hazard. It'll try and swoop 5 pikmin. You attack it from the mask, and when you defeat it, it drops a ship part and back where you started. (yes, it's inspired by the Sundering Soulmonger)
I have 2 ideas for an enemy: The Burrowing Bulblax(normal enemy) and The Fiendish Dweevil(Boss) Burrowing Bulblax: Before waking up the Bulblax, it appears to be an oddly shaped mount of dirt and rocks(which is actually just it’s back). When you do wake it up, either by going too close to it or by try to attack it, it will get up and start acting like a Red Bulborb. This keeps going for a little while until it then shakes all the Pikmin off of it and quickly burrows into the ground before suddenly rising out of it near a group of Pikmin(but normally ones without a captain). This cycle continues until it dies or you run away. Fiendish Dweevil: A rather large Dweevil with unusually thick legs, a shell on top of it’s main body, and two arm-like appendages also coming out of the central body. It’s color is an uninviting dark-ish gray with it’s hands being a slightly lighter shade. First attack: It skitters over to a nearby group of Pikmin and attempts to grab them. If it fails to grab them, it then goes away from that group and tries to do something else. If it succeeds in grabbing Pikmin, it will do one of 2 things(50/50 chance for both): eat them(you figure out where to put the mouth), or attempt to throw them at one of the captains. The damage taken by the captain if they get hit is both dependent on the amount of Pikmin it grabbed(10 max) and what Pikmin it threw(Normal for reds, yellows, blues, and pinks, 0.5 times dmg. for whites, 1.5 times dmg. for cyans, and 2 times dmg. for purples and blacks(it can’t grab glow Pikmin)). Once the Pikmin hit something, they get stunned for a second and then try to join the nearest captain unless there are none nearby somehow, in which case it the just stands there. Second attack: Same as previous but it charges over to the group and tries to grab as soon as it reaches them. Third attack: The Fiendish Dweevil tries to pick up a ball of dirt and chuck it toward either a captain or a Pikmin(It has a pretty slow windup but deals a lot of damage(~33% of captains health)). It acts as a crushing attack, meaning every Pikmin type but blacks with die from it. Fourth attack: The Fiendish Dweevil will reach its hand inside of its shell and pull out the treasure/item you want from it. It will then use that item in a way to either kill you or your Pikmin or make it more difficult for you to kill it. Some examples include: Pulling out a matchstick, lighting it, and throwing it at a random place on the ground, Grabbing a bunch of fire crackers and using those, and a bunch of other things I don’t want to think of. He will often do this attack multiple times in a row unless it’s especially dangerous. Fifth attack: After a second or so of buildup, The Fiendish Dweevil will leap out of screen, disappear for a few seconds, and land on any Pikmin it defines as easy targets with it’s backside before jumping back up quickly afterwards. This exposes it he bottom of it’s main body, which is completely unarmored. You can’t attack it, but it does give a hint on how to beat the boss. How to Defeat: Seeing as the only part of it’s main body(the hit box for all other Dweevils) that you can hit is the bottom of it, a pretty obvious solution to this would be to attack its legs so it falls over. If you try to do that, the Dweevil’s hands of sorts will pick up the Pikmin attacking it and throw them away before they can deal any damage. What’s the solution to this? To attack the Dweevil’s hands. Once you deal enough damage to destroy one of the hands, the other hand’s hp will return to normal and The Fiendish Dweevil will enter phase 2, where it becomes incredibly angry and tries to go after a captain at any chance it can. Once you destroy it’s other arm, the fight is basically over. All it does after that is run away as you attack it’s legs. Once you kill one of it’s legs, it falls over and you can attack the bottom of it as long as you want until it dies and you get the treasure. Area design: uhhhhhhhhh
I love these ideas! They're really unique, and honestly I may steal some of them for my Pikmin fangame that's never actually gonna get made. I have some interesting enemy ideas I've had myself but I can't find the papers I wrote them on :( Edit: I actually remembered one of my ideas (I still haven't found the papers but this one popped into my brain)! The Wallowing Blubbard is a fat, sluglike creature with a rotund body covered in flaps of skin, similar in appearance to the face of an Emperor Bulblax, only without the nostrils and with much droopier lips and eyestalks. It also has a strange antenna in between its eyestalks, directly on top of its head. It lives in large puddles of semisolid mud, which it can duck under and move around while submerged, leaving only its eyestalks and antenna visible until it pops back up. This mud is thick enough for captains, Pikmin, and Oatchi to walk on, but if they stay in one place for too long they start to sink, trapping them under it until they suffocate, killing Pikmin and spitting out captains and Oatchi. This isn't the Blubbard's main form of attack, though. All it does to attack is pops its head up slightly and opens its mouth, causing mud to be sucked down its gullet, taking anything on top of it with it into the beast's belly. Immediately after performing this attack, the Blubbard will duck back under the mud. There are two main ways to make the Blubbard vulnerable to attack- either you can feed it a bomb rock, or you can use Winged Pikmin to pull on its antenna and yank it out of the mud. Both of these leave it vulnerable on the surface of the mud for a few seconds, allowing it to be attacked. Anything it swallowed (besides Pikmin) is released when it dies. Edit 2: I thought about it, and I think a better name than Wallowing Blubbard would probably be Wallowing Sluggard
ive gotten into pikmin recently and after finishing pikmin 4, i agree that i wish that there were more new monsters. your designs are super cool and stay very well within the realm of pikmin! im curious to see if you could design a new pikmin type, or even another kind of wraith! i was hoping they'd do more with the wraiths after pikmin 3, but alas. great work! i absolutely loved the sundering soulmonger as im also a big fan of horror in video games, though im not always good at it ^^; i will look forward to ur future vids! :)
This is so cool!!! I love the idea of more mammal or lizard based enemies in pikmin. I think maybe an enemy that is based on a chameleon or a bat would be interesting!
These are so cool, its great to see that your making this into a small series. I love seeing the process that goes into the art. I've always had an idea for a pikmin enemy in the form of a long ranged threat. In particular, a small aracnorb that is carrying around a lense (like a monocole or a magnifying glass). Simalar to how stationary Groinks were used back in two, they would sit on top of buckets and other high vantagepoints and focus the lense down onto the ground, attemping to set pikmin alight.
What if Glow Pikmin were the best strategy to fight the Soul Monger? I like the idea of it being vulnerable to Glow Pikmin (particularly the glow mob attack), since they seem very spirit-like.
My enemy idea is the Smoky Wraith: an adolescent Smoky Progg. It appears in a maze, and you have to avoid the Wraith and the trail of gloom it leaves; think of it like a game of Snake. The way to defeat it is to activate light sources by digging holes to the surface and turning on light bulbs to neutralize the gloom. It cans send out balls of gloom that track the captain before it charges at high speed. For the design, it has the asymmetrical arms of the Mamuta but most parts of the entire body leak gloom except for one part on its face that you can throw purple Pikmin at to stun it. This one just seemed like a fun concept to me :D
The Threaded Murkgrab is a pretty cool idea, The Billiard Bug has a mortal flaw of "What happens when the treasure has been collected" thus I deem it deserves a fun rock, the Sparkwisp is a friend and I love the idea of them mating by connecting their trails hence why it has it just dangling there, remember colourful means you shouldn't touch or eat it :3, I think for the Sundering Soulmonger the previous floors should have required kills otherwise there'd be no meat to the boss fight, I love the boss idea though.
The sundering soulmonger seems like final boss/ secret boss material, having something that messes with the cycle of life and death as the ultimate challenge is cool
Definitely secret boss. It’s so mysterious and unsettling, like the Waterwraith, but is not needed to « beat » the game. Only to « complete »
Having Pikmin as enemies is really cool; I think a video creating new Pikmin types would be nice:
Hypnosis Pikmin: floats in the air, has no legs. Eyes are purple spirals. When attacking a creature, a bar (like that of Ice Pikmin) Fills up
and makes the creature attack its own kind. If there are no others of the same kind, the creature walks in circles.
Wind Pikmin: Very fragile, assist other Pikmin when moving items by pushing them with the wind. When under attack, these Pikmin
protect everyone by sending gusts to hold back enemies.
Sand Pikmin: Can camouflage, so enemies can't see them. Are good at digging, and when charged at a creature, a tornado is created,
with its size and strength dependent on how many Sand Pikmin are in the attack. The sandstorm picks the creature up
and throws it back onto the floor, dealing damage.
Poison Pikmin: Best friends of White Pikmin, they can deal poison damage to enemies. Also resistant to poison, they can poison any
creature that touches them. They emit a poisonous cloud during attacks.
how did paracosm make a creature that actively makes me flinch when it turns black. god that thing actually scares me so much
@@legoshorts7818 Well I had an idea of a new Pikmin type for quite a while now, and I'd like to share it with you, I present to you :
The Shooter Pikmins : As their name implies it, these pikmin's gimmick is that they can shoot lasers at the enemies just like the Man At Leg and the Gatling Groink do. And if you wonder, yes, just like those previously mentioned enemies, they are mechanised but friendly to Olimar. The reason why they are mechanised is probably because an onion assimilated a mechanical enemy and since, these pikmin types exist. I hope Parascom takes this idea for the next video.
@@legoshorts7818 here’s a pikmin concept I came up with:
(Haven’t decided on a name so I’m using a placeholder name)
Green pikmin:
(Again, a place holder name) these pikmin have dark green bodies with orange eyes, they can walk through a pink ooze that other pikmin would get stuck in (like removed from the squad stuck), but to make sure you get them back, the green Pikmin can drag other pikmin out the ooze in the captains direction.
The billiard bug is now my spirit animal.
Also Nintendo NEEDS to hire you ASAP, you are incredibly talented!
You’re damn right!
I agree
What app is that
Omg raggins
Dumb bug
The Soulmonger using its castaway’s soul as a captain that you have to fight. Imagine their dialogue after being saved
Ohh good idea!
You don’t know how honoured I am to see both my name and the Toxerhop featured in this!
I love it!
Thank you so much!
Ayy!
A simple but great idea!
you had a cool idea mine kinda sucked not gonna lie :(
lucky
although it a simple idea it still really good one
I have one:
The ______ Leech:
Looks like a Bulborb Larva but with a mouth looking like an Arctic Cannon.
Variants include:
Luminescent Leech (Glows, only in caves)
Giant Leech (Adult version, drains health faster
Burrowing Leech (Makes holes underground and traps the whole squad, eats Pikmin as well, but is smaller)
Flying Leech (Latches onto Oatchi and can only be attacked by Flying Pikmin, due to being in flight when latched on)
I had the same idea with the pikmin sprout impostor :D great name and appearance and idea 💡
I need to see tihis
@@legoshorts7818 shear fleas target Oatchi
Glad to see the Pikmin series finally getting the attention it deserves. Your designs for these enemies are sick as heck, especially the Sundering Soulmonger. Keep up the good work! 👍
Have you seen town square
@@Orangethesussyboithrow it back plimar
for an enemy idea, i've always liked the idea of a 3 legged arachnorb that mimics an onion specifically to trick pikmin
call it the luring long legs
i imagine it starts off immobile on the ground, similar to a man at legs, however, once it's unearthed and enough pikmin are attempting to lift it, the "onion" will flip upside down and it'll extend it's legs out
initially it stomps around like any other member of it's family, though a bit faster to make up for the missing 4th leg
after a while of stomping it'll slam down 2 legs at once and send the 3rd flying over itself until it's flipped, leaving the fake onion upright
while the "onion" is right side up the luring long legs will start using attacks like fake pikmin seeds that damage targets they land on, or an onion tractor beam that pulls your captain and pikmin up into the air, acting similarly to a stronger jellyfloat vacuum
maybe it could even give little false signals to the pikmin such as telling them to try and climb inside, causing them to try reaching it's legs until they're either stomped or whistled back
A fake Onion enemy is genius! I remember one enemy in a Pikmin mod being remodeled to look like an Onion. It would've been great for Pikmin 4, considering there exists Flarlic and multiple Onions for some colors.
Phony Long Legs!
What if it was a chrisanthymum variant
I had a similar idea, but it moved more like a Man at legs (no crushing) and spawned puffmin or something similar.
DAS SICK
This is one of the cutest and funniest Pikmin enemy concepts I have ever seen
these have once again completely blown me away. the ideas are always inanely good and the art is absolutely phenomenal. having a new poison enemy is also an extra win for me of course. Although simple, I would like to see a future video Create something like a Robotic Dirigibug that launches Mines or Tracker Bombs, or potentially your take on my own Arctic Dirigibug that throws icebombs! Keep up you AMAZING work. We truely love your content
I agree I love this art
Hello
Is that the REAL wigwam man LOL
Thanks so much 💖💖
This dude is gonna rise huge in the pikmin community
He already is.
Oh I love this idea! 💚💚
While I’m here I’d like to suggest a enemy idea I came up with while watching: The Burnt Bread Bug
- A bread bug, following the bread aspect, that has been left in a hot cavern for to long and has been quite charred.
I LOVE the Soulmonger idea, it seems like such a well thought out idea and such a cool fight
Thanks so much friend! 😄✨
it gives off similar unnerving vibes like walking through the ominous caves where the wraiths dwell
@@somerandomnerd965 are you a writer because I was NOT expecting to read something that cool
Imagine if the Mercrab actually was the one that dropped bomb rocks onto you in pikmin 2
Sounds like a relative of another character that throws bombs
Imagine a room full of them if that was the case
This was incredible, I don’t have any ideas of my own but the spark wisp was adorable and oh my god the sundering soulmonger is amazing, just like the man of the hour, your unique enemy ideas especially your bosses are incredible
I feel like the boss feels more like a final boss than a normal cave boss, but other than that? Amazing designs all around!
The Sundering Soulmonger is genuinely such a cool idea for a boss and for a cave concept
With this thing summoning enemies you defeated in the cave suddenly the player has to decide which enemies to defeat and which ones to leave alone, the easier they make the floors for themselves the harder the boss itself will become, and even if the game forces you to defeat most if not all of the enemies on a floor (via locking the next floor behind those numbered gates from Pikmin 4) then the player would still have to be super careful about Pikmin casualties. I absolutely adore this boss idea and the design would definitely scare some people (kids especially) when playing for the first time
You are doing a great job with these Pikmin enemy concepts and the 2 bosses you’ve made have definitely been my favorites so far, especially the Sundering Soulmonger
Thanks so much for this comment! I appreciate your kind words ☺️💞
I have an idea for a enemy : so some enemies in Pikmin 4 are infected by toxstool spores so what about a infected blowhog that shoots poison ?
Doubt he would do that, too basic.
@@honey-hunterslimefanno.3257well he did the same thing but a wollywog so this isn't out of the question just yet

That's a really creative idea! Now I wanna come up with my own Pikmin idea for this series.
You are a genius
Boxer beetle (based on the box-elder bug)
A sleek beetle with comical bright red boxer gloves as front hands that knuckle around and when spoting you party, it clashes it fists and scurrys up to you party and trys to subdue your party with fast, and brutal punches. The boxer beetle’s eyes will flash right before it attacks, as a refrence to the punch out franchise, along with the music for its fight will end with a bell when defeted(for stupid detail)
Not all that large (around blowhog size) and has a surprisingly large health pool, and would be found on high surfaces, or maybe a mini boxing ring as a boss(would be larger then) searching for a challenge, and scurrying when down, it leads with a quick jab to your captain/ otachi and starting quick boxing music.
Hope you like my idea!
Maybe if its in a boxing ring it would be called a titled boxer beetle (like wolwogs and the titan wolywog)
This pikmin enemy came to me in a dream, thought I'd submit it as an idea:
The Creeping Clampcruncher (say that 3 times fast)
Its appearance is a lobster/crawfish type of creature (it was purple in my dream, but you can color it anyway that you like ^_^) with a large block of stone and moss on top of its back, and perhaps a special flower. I didn't get any ideas of how it would attack from the dream itself, but going off of its design, I'd assume it would burrow underground like the creeping chrysanthemum and pop out when you approach it.
Love the joy in this persons voice.
Also if your bossideas where to make it into a Pikmin game I think they would be definitely one of the highlights!
I love how the billiard bug is just a dung beetle. It’s just so brilliant.
Reminds me of Rellor just existing in pokemon S/V and just being a dung beetle.
Also, here’s my idea:
You can choose the name if you want.
Aww yeah, round 2! As for enemy suggestions… I guess like a “raptor” of sorts? Like at least a tail to swat the Pikmin away & claws to pin them
I have an idea for a new Arachnorb that pretends to be the Purple Onion.
The way you draw the concept art for your fan made enemies really brings them to life, like I can see these being in the game!
Here's my recommendation:
The culinary creature.
Well reds are immune to fires so they can kill it in the pot
Another enemy idea: the Anode Scornet Maestro
This would be a puzzle boss in an industrial themed cave.
It is a metal version of the original, connected to the floor by wires.
It’s a different version of the Scornet Maestro, but fought very differently.
The boss arena is composed of an inner area, where you actually attack the boss, and an outer area, which will be explained later
The boss will always have a shield of electric scornets surrounding it, occasionally sending out some to attack.
I'm just waiting for your subscriber count to POP. You post such high quality of stuff!! :D
hey so I watched the first video but didn't comment but I have to say, all these designs are great and the art that comes with them are unecessary but amazing. the only complaint I had with the previous designs is that some of them didn't feel "pikminy" but these ones all clear this margin
the threaded murkgrab is the perfect example of this. the beady eyes, the tongue, and the mechanic sounds frightening yet fun at the same time
i love the billard bug, once again very pikmin, the eyes and mouth piece, and the concept of not only the bug using the treasure but using the ball as a weapon to the nearby environment is great
sparkwisp is the only new concept for a new honeywisp that works. brining back the lightbulb mechanics and expanding on them with a unique floating enemy. you also mentioned how the "glass" is more of a shell which I like because it feels more natural than what it is based on
toxerhop is amazing first, I love the fact you picked out an enemy design from the comments to do, and second, you made it really well. the OG Wollyhop base and the neon colours while still keeping with the poison colouring is commendable. really made the concept flourish into life
and finally the sundering soulmonger, you managed to make a pikmin boss creepy and unsettling in the way pikmin 1 and 2 did it perfectly its amazing. the mechanic also has a lot you can do with it, like playing without killing enemies to make the fight easy (though there should be enemy doors that you need to kill some enemies to get down there) the rebithed shadow enemies also look great, love how they are just cloudy and misty, and the bug itself feels pikmny again, but the mask works so well for this more nightmarish design and the idea of veins on the inside is prefecto messed-up I love it
oh and I can't not suggest something for ya, cuz I've had this idea for a while, how about a Moldy Breadbug? A breadbug that has formed a symbiosis with the Toxstool with some of its fungi growing on itself, which brings corpses back to its nests to turn them into moldy variants if possible (the nest would be like the old breadbug nests, any pikmin brought there die, and would be a nice way to bring the old mechanic) so for example a dwarf bulborb gets brought back a moldy dwarf bulborb comes out, anything that can't be infected (enemy or treasure) pops back out when defeated. a final note, like the moldy dwarf bulborb, it emits poison gas clouds when pikmin are thrown directly on top of it, so tug of war is actually recommended for fighting it (also moldy bread haha)
but overall amazing series so far, if I could I would but a t-shirt (i don't know which bug I would buy though)
Seeing the Winged Pikmin give the Yellow Pikmin a lift at 20:37 is so wholesome and adorable!

bro, that never happens in the pikmin series. 😒😒😒😒😒
@@mariotapawan5521 What that is a true statement, I wish it was applied for at least one of the animated shorts.
Loving these videos! You’ve absolutely earned a sub!
Now here’s my idea:
The Torching Blowhog!
Have you seen a regular blowhog?
A Fiery Blowhog? Yes. This is different though! :D
You know how there are Snowy Blowhogs but also Icy Blowhogs?
It’s kinda like that!
I had an idea for an enemy: the Raging Bullblax (misspelling Bulblax is intended)
It would be found in a cave themed around only being able to use oatchi.
What would make this idea even cooler is when it trips it makes a shock wave of water
ADD THAT TO THE IDEA LIST YES@@timothy6774
The soulmonger looks so cool and creepy. Like those insects with Fungi making them walk and act with no body parts inside
25:20 makes sense hornet is in pikmin since she’s part spider/bug
Oh I'm totally with you, I love the horror aspects of Pikmin.
I don't have any enemy ideas, but I'd love to see another creepy character in the next installment!
Thanks so much!! I’ll definitely do another creepy character, they are my favorite haha 🤍
Loved the first part so it's nice seeing a second one
He did it again. I love these. You can tell how much passion you put in those concepts.
Haven’t watched but know these will be amazing
I thought oatchi's rush made the game very easy, so I came up with a new enemy: the shielding aristocrab. It has one large claw it protects itself with, almost like a knight in armour and a shield, so you can't charge oatchi or your pikmin at it. To defeat it you have to throw your pikmin on it from above (yellow pikmin will help, but aren't necessary). The shielding aristocrab attacks by slamming its 'shield' downwards on any pikmin standing nearby, crushing them. But if you can't really take advantage of this, because the aristocrab is very quick to pull up its shield again.
wow pretty nice
Pretty nice? THIS IS THE BEST CRAPPING THING IN THE ENTIRE CRAPPING WORLD!!!!!!
Overloaded man at legs, i know the man of the hour exists but i just love the man at legs and his underutilising in 4 is so sad.
New mechanics:
Huge health boost.
Overloaded laser:
normal fire mode has a 20% chance to either get 10% faster or slower and stacks.
Haven't watched but amazing vid alr. I love art, I'm planning on becoming an artist myself so I'm gonna get into an art club. But love your vids :]
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MORE AMAZING CONCEPTS
Loved this video!
I had an idea for an enemy, the
Luring Lumifang, based off an anglerfish, this creature lives in caves.
Love it!
They jump in the air when the captain's pikmin squad is nearby, before slamming downward back into the water and splashing it at the pikmin, causing them to scatter and potentially fall into the body of water and drown
After collapsing back into the water, it'll be stunned, giving a window to throw blue pikmin at it !
Fantastic art and well chosen songs. The Wii U mii maker theme gave me a wave of nostalgia.
As you fell more and more of the little flies, their discoball formation has more pieces missing :D
I feel like their attack patterns could create various light show patterns, maybe confusing the pikmin?
I love your art, it looks very unique, and I like that
Enemy idea(I’m bad with names):
An enemy that is composed of a goo-like substance that would fly around and try to reach a glob of itself into your captain, and if it did you would slowly take damage and your pikmin would try to save you, but would die slowly as well( ice would freeze it slowly but still take damage) and you would mash the a button to get out, and if you did the pikmin inside and the captain would be freed, but worse for wear.
Thank you so much! That means a lot friend 😊

And I also wanted to present you an enemy idea…it might be not as good others but I hope you like it!
The Thieving Tunnelbug:
Design: It is a bug similar to a Psychoplex with a rounder shaped body and eight fuzzy legs.
(Variants: Iced Tunnelbug, Poisoned Tunnelbug, Firey Tunnelbug, Electric Tunnelbug, Water Tunnelbug, Giant Tunnelbug [Max-Prey: 8] {I just did these variants for completion I think that was unnecessary xd}
I hope you will see this comment and I hope you will like this idea^^ Sorry if its a little long I just wanted to detail it😅 But anyways- Byyyeee!
I love the sundering soulmonger we need more creepy enemies
Your designs in these videos are always so fun and unique but still look like they'd fit in really well with the rest of pikmin's enemies! I really hope you continue this series - I'd love to see a rhythm-based enemy personally, something you'd have to time your throws with to beat?
I think the billard bugs could have subspecies in other areas, like imagine one member riding on top of a large bomb rock
Enemy idea:
The Watchful Slithermoak.
Here's an enemy I designed when I was 6 after watching my brother play Pikmin 2 for the first time:
The Treasureblax (name can be changed, possibly Glintblax)
A bulblax species that collects treasures and glues them to its back.
Here's an enemy idea:
The Mimute is a variation of the Mamuta, this one's the size of a captain and is generally in a cave sublevel along with normal Mamutas.
Oh baby give me the lore for this hypothetical pikmin game. Om nom nom nom let me feast on the delicious implications
(yes, it's inspired by the Sundering Soulmonger)
i hope your channel keeps growing! your concepts and illustrations are sick
I have 2 ideas for an enemy: The Burrowing Bulblax(normal enemy) and The Fiendish Dweevil(Boss)
Burrowing Bulblax: Before waking up the Bulblax, it appears to be an oddly shaped mount of dirt and rocks(which is actually just it’s back).
I didn’t realize how much text this was until I posted it. Sorry
I love these ideas! They're really unique, and honestly I may steal some of them for my Pikmin fangame that's never actually gonna get made. I have some interesting enemy ideas I've had myself but I can't find the papers I wrote them on :(
Edit: I actually remembered one of my ideas (I still haven't found the papers but this one popped into my brain)!
These are all amazing!! Also I noticed that scruffy reference at the end ;) keep up the good work!
