Enemy idea for boo: it’s a night exclusive enemy that is mostly harmless. It is far away from the luminal, and it doesn’t come close to you. It would give x amount of glowseeds if you defeat it. It is kind a risk reward type thing because you would have to venture out away from where you’re supposed to be. Compare it to the honeywisp, except better.

If this does end up a series, you could include other crossovers too instead of just Mario. Zelda has a vast treasure trove of enemies to fill up with Pikmin whimsy. It even has a whole game that half takes place from the perspective of tiny forest people!
Here's my thought on one potential enemy: the Gibdo. I call it the Rattleshell Gravemoth
At rest they cover themselves with their wings with their long antenna stretching out and over, this is to lure in prey while it waits in ambush. What are it's prey? Other predators. How do you lure a predator in the world of Pikmin? Tempt them with Pikmin. The Gravemoths with regularly scavenge from sites where Pikmin have fallen or hunt them directly to drain the bodily fluids out of their corpses and dry them out to use as puppets on the ends of their antenna, dancing about until something draws too close.
Once potential prey is near, they swiftly open their wings to reveal a frightening pattern while screeching a horrible noise, paralyzing unaware creatures before pouncing and skewering them with their proboscises to drain their fluids too.
They key to fighting them is to either attack from behind if possible due to them focusing on their luring act or to strike from range so you don't get frightened by their scare attack and can whistle back your Pikmin before it leaps on them. After it's leap there is a window to strike, swarm it quickly but be prepared to call your Pikmin back before it flaps its wings to get them off.
It can't use it's wings to fly however, their typical subterranean environment means they have largely grown out of that habit due to a lack of room. But studies show that these may in fact just be the larval stage, despite their bodily developments resembling an adult of their family, of a much more dangerous moth.

How about this idea? The Exploding Rockrunner, based on the Bob-omb! It looks like a Bomb Rock, but when you get too close, it springs up and chases you! I know its like that one dweebil from Pikmin 2, however unlike the dweebil, it is much faster and will pursue you at high speeds, meaning you need to be cautious and ready to get away once it starts chasing you. But you can also bait it into an active flame to have it explode abruptly, or into some water to cool it down, exposing it for a counterattack!

heres an idea i had for awhile: the foe-nion, basically its a fake onion, its a rare enemy and mostly relys on your ability to notice its tricks, when you discover a new pikmin type in the overworld a fake onion of the same color will appear near your ship tricking pikmin into bringing items to it instead of the real onion, the pikmin will be sucked up aswell as the item, then the foe-nion will frantically run away to a burrow where it will eat the pikmin if it successfully gets away, if its health is low enough it will start flying so high that only yellows can reach it, trying to draw pikmin from it will also damage you, its legs are like dead sticks, the pattern on its bulb looks wobbly and twisted and the flower on its top looks like it was ripped from another plant, and drool slowly and subtly drips from its mouth at the bottom

    Louie's Recipes:
Plasmatic Vacoombra: Take this exceedingly extendable creature's stretchy head and roll with a pin. Pan-Sear on low heat until it looks crispy. Works well for an enchilada topping on Cinco de Mayo!
Pyro Perennial: Remove its bulbous mouth-like center and remove the pistil. Cover in White cake Batter and bake at 400° Fahrenheit for half an hour. Once baked, cover your cake ball in strawberry frosting, a topping of your choice, then slice into eighths. Extreme Strawberry flavor inside and out!
Bubbled Catterbead: Though its bubble segments are inedible, the head makes for a fine thanksgiving steak. Remove cartilage and cook over open fire until browned. The single antenna on is head is to be removed beforehand, chopped into equally sized pieces, and served as a side. The steak is good with gravy, and the antenna slices taste somewhat of blueberry.

Old Pikmin 4 concept I made as a Kid: Fire arm home invader(a fire ant like creature whom lives in a sandy like area that moves around quickly while using its mandibles to grab sand to construct a big hot sand ball it can send hurling at Pikmin, but as it is capturing sand it gradually decreases its mobility allowing available Pikmin to attack the legs to lower its abdomen, if Pikmin are too close to its head it can shake the Pikmin off and turn around to swoop in and take a bite. Once it is defeated it will die… preferably I would imagine the creature to be in a sand box or playground (with sand) like area .

Here's a cool idea I just came up with:
    The Bruising Rusher
It is based off the chaincomp. It is a black sphere, with retractable legs, hard extirerior, large insect like eyes, and large mandible.
It is related to the armored cannon beetle, it attacks your pikmin by retracting its legs and roll at you at a decent speed. In order to attack it you will need to make it run into a wall, or run in a circle so that it becomes dizzy.
Once you are able to attack it a grat tounge will shoot out of its mouth (A reference to the chain) and its legs will show them selves again letting you attack them!

This has been a really neat crossover concept for Pikmin and the Super Mario franchise. I do have a couple of suggestions I'd like to make, however.
    1. Considering the fact that the Pyro Perennial is normally stationary inside its hibiscus, its stem should snap when defeated and allow the player's pikmin crew to bring its disconnected head back to the ship.
    2. The Vacoombra's plasma-ball attack is electricity-based, right? If that's the case, yellow pikmin should be impossible for it to kill, and the Vacoombra instead harmlessly ejects them after electrocuting the rest of its prey.

A Mario Enemy to Pikmin Enemy idea I had was based on the Boo species that would use camouflage/invisiblity to stalk the player and pikmin in caves or night levels.
Since it would become invisible and intangible when looked at, the only way to be able to attack this creature is to wait until it strikes, where you'd have a few seconds to counterattack, with the duration being a bit more if they enemy failed to catch any pikmin.

  • @BazTheDryBonesFan
    @BazTheDryBonesFan 9 месяцев назад +4

Oh my gosh, this is awesome! Well, since we’re going with Mario enemies, I think you might know what the basis of my idea is:
    That’s right, Dry Bones!
It’s the skeleton of some sort of turtle-like creature. (For the sake of example, let’s call this deceased creature a Trooper Toughback.)
When you first come across this skeleton, it’s nothing but a pile of bones covered in cobwebs. Once you approach it, though, the bones assemble and stand up on two legs, with these spider webs actually holding it together and controlling it, similarly to puppet strings. What’s pulling these strings, however? Why, it’s a pair of small yellow glowing spider-like creatures inhabiting each of the Toughback’s eye sockets! This double-teaming arachnid-esque puppetmaster is what’s known as an Arid Socketeer! The webbing-possessed corpse constantly shambles toward the player’s party with its arms held out, and when it gets close enough, it suddenly shoots a big web from its mouth similarly to the tongue of a Toady Bloyster or Creeping Chrysanthemum, trapping and crunching any unfortunate Pikmin within its jaws once it pulls this web-tongue back in. There are two different ways to deal with this enemy. The first is to throw your Pikmin directly at the pair of little glowy spiders, though going for that is a bit risky when you have something so threatening rattling toward you. Luckily, there’s the second option: attacking the skeletal body itself. When the skeleton takes enough damage, it falls apart, making its skull tumble to the ground, which in turn leaves the spiders in its eye sockets much more vulnerable! You’d better be quick to take advantage of this disassembly period, though, because the pair of Arid Socketeers will soon pull those bones back together with their stringy webs and resume the chase. Once both of these little creepy crawlies are defeated, the bones fall apart for good, and the threat is eliminated!

Silly idea: Vacoombras can be somewhat-easily defeated in much the same way as Dwarf Bulborbs, though it doesn't work with non-Purple Pikmin; The easiest way to dispatch one is to throw a Captain onto its head while it's in phase 1 or 3.

If you double down on the Mario crossover idea, obviously the Koopa has a lot to work with. Some of what used to be variants kinda became their own thing, but the actual Koopa still has rather unique variations with fun gimmicks. The Electro Koopa from Mario Sunshine, for example, has an electrified shell. It has a variant that can climb on walls, but the primary iteration of it attacks on the ground by throwing its electric shell like a boomerang. It is, naturally, vulnerable during this time. It can be delt with by either directly jumping on them or stunning them so they hit themselves with their shell, the latter of which grants more coins. There are also Koopeleons from Partners In Time, which essentially grant a chameleon's abilities to a Koopa, such as camouflage and the long sticky tongue. As one of Mario's "big two" alongside the Goomba, there's a lot to work with beyond those two specific variants as well.

  • @zzuxon
    @zzuxon 9 месяцев назад +14

I really like the plasmatic Vacoombra. It's a nuanced, multifacted concept.
If I were tasked with designing a version of Goombas adapted for Pikmin, I think I'd make a species of brown, eyestalkless bulborbs (Bulboombas, maybe?). This would kind of maintain the facial features while sacrificing the body shape, kind of the inverse of your approach. Both Goombas and Bulborbs have 2 legs, no arms, and are both the most fundamental enemy type in their series, so I think there's an appropriate thematic link. I'd give them a new mechanic, but I haven't come up with one at the moment.

    • @geschnitztekiste4111
      @geschnitztekiste4111 9 месяцев назад +3

Maybe make them charge at you faster than usual when they see you, kind of like how Goombas work in 3D Mario, but also make them topple over easier like in Galaxy when you spin at a Goomba

It has scrap metal armor and can only be hit by one Pikmin type until the armor breaks that type is ice Pikmin. It also has weapons all over itself kinda like the titan dweevil

Here's a new enemy idea I came up with, it's called the G.U.A.R.D. It would be a very unique enemy as it can't be killed by any means, so be careful when you come across it. Its shape is a circular ball with a color scheme similar to the white E.M.M.I. It would move by rolling around, and when its idle, it will bring it's singular eye that is attached to a long, thin piece of wire and look around the area, making sure no intruders are present in the area, and the 6 parts of the sphere will separate and will let them stand up right. If the G.U.A.R.D sees you, it will start firing from it eye with the same projectiles the Man-At-Legs uses until the you escape or fail to make it past. Luckily, the G.U.A.R.D only protects a certain area around where it was located. It is also easily distractible by Pik-Pik carrots, but not anything else.
The enemy's design is based of the E.M.M.I from Metroid Dread and partly design from the Guardian form Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I have always wanted a undefeatable threat that you couldn't be defeated or easily avoided. I also wanted more robotic enemies than just the Man-At-Legs.

    Here's an idea: Conniving Wallomp.
Wallomps are based on Whomps and are believed to be a convergent evolution of the shellcake family. Unlike shellcakes, Wallomps are rectangular and are nearly indistinguishable from regular walls, with the exception of small snail-like eyes that poke out when it senses prey. Of course for their disguise to work, they're mostly only found in caves. Because they mimic their surroundings, they have a variety of different appearances, for example, if a cave has rusty and metallic walls, they'll be rusty and metallic themselves.
When you get close to a disguised Wallomp, they'll fall down on you. If you manage to outsmart a Wallomp, you can destroy it by throwing Pikmin on its weak X-shaped crack.
There's also a larger version called King Wallomps that are a tad rarer.
Edit: Also since I've been hearing Sonic music all throughout the video, it'd be cool to do this concept for Sonic enemies as well. The idea of a mechanized ladybug or bee similar to the Gatling Groink would be all too perfect for Pikmin.

This was a great video, I loved every second of it! I will 100 percent be getting the premium patreon as soon as I can.
Also, I had an idea for a future Mario inspired enemy. Inspired by the Bobomb, the Bobbing Kernel Bomb is a seed like creature that runs around looking for the perfect place to nest it’s young. When confronted with hostile creatures it will panic and begin to run away. If cornered, it will pop like popcorn, bouncing into the air and past the Pikmin and Captain, knocking back the captain and Oatchi and killing some Pikmin in the process. Because if the erratic nature of the Bobbing Kernel Bomb, it is very distracting, and attracts Pikmin to it. Sometimes it even has some treasure hidden inside. You can only deal damage to it by hitting it with Rocks or Purples.

I have recently started watching your Designing Pikmin Enemy series, and I think you are super underrated. I can't even imagine how long it takes to make all of these sketches back-to-back. So, I thought I'd share my unique enemy idea.
    The Angler GlowBuzz:
The Angler Glowbuzz resembles an earth firefly, but overall resembles a shearwig. This is because the Shearwig is related to the Glowbuzz. It is called the "Angler" Glowbuzz because Pikmin are drawn in by its glow part. They jump onto the glowbuzz, and it EXPLODES its glow part. This doesn't kill the Pikmin, but knocks them back and stuns them. Just like when a Pikmin gets set on fire or electrocuted, you will need to whistle them back. The Glowbuzz lands itself on the ground, and then eats the stunned Pikmin. The glowbuzz regrows its glow part in a matter of seconds. (Don't question this is Pikmin.) Then the attack cycle will repeat once again. The only way to defeat this annoying pest is to weigh it down with 5 Pikmin. This creature is heavier as it is a larger member of the sheargrub family.
This enemy is fine to tackle alone, but if there are many, you might face a quite troublesome task.

    Pikmin (creepy) Boss idea:
    *The Shadow Sneaker*
This creature only exists as a shadow that looks like a nightmarish Bulborb but can kill enemies and Pikmin (A bit of damage to Oatchi and the player) by interacting with their shadows (think The Princess and the Frog) and is invincible
This creature like the Water Wraith would be a constant threat and be in it's own cave called "Luminescent Alcove" a cave that has a hotel Hallway like design and be brightly lit to the point that shadows are present and have dark hiding spots that it can't reach (hmmm)
The boss floor is unique in that instead of a regular fight there would be a puzzle with its own health bar and you need to stop at times to hide from the creature in the dark hiding spots. Once you successfully drain the puzzle's heath the lights will flicker and then turn off stopping the Shadow Sneaker for good and leaving a treasure to collect.

Wow!! I loved every single design! Gosh, your ideas are just so awesome!! Well, I'm going to give my own ideas! Here's the first, I will give more in the replies for this comment if I have any!
The king progg (Inspired by king boo) and its tadproggs (Inspired by boos)
This creature is a relative to the smoky progg, but he came out of the shell way too early, making his body have this really pale and ghostly white skin and really bright yellow core, similar to an egg white and its yolk, it would appear only on night mission after exploring its very own cave, the cave would be called: "Underground nightmare" a cavern that would have a daylight sensor attached onto it, which would only open the cave when the day is almost ending and the sun is going down, basically the last 10 seconds of the day, where all the floors would have these spectral enemies called tadproggs, they float around with almost no sense of direction, they would have this small orb shaped body with a small swimmer at the back, almost as if they are swimming in the air, to defeat the tadproggs you need to come close to them, as they will go above your squad and start to dispel this white gas that after a feel seconds will start to suck all of it back up if a pikmin is caught in the gas, their body would shrink in size depending on how much gas they expel, if they can't get pikmin, they will dispel even more, giving everything they have to get and suck a pikmin to their body so they can eat, but for them, It's too late, they spend all their energy to expel the gas and get something and become way too weak, at that point they become passive, as they have no way to attack anymore, but you could still try to throw pikmin at them, which will pop their bodies leaving behind their bright yellow core, I like to think that their own attack is almost like a fly trap, which if you don't know, when they capture prey they spend a lot of energy to close and eat it, so if they don't, their bodies wouldn't be able to do it again and slowly die as they can't eat anymore, and now, for the boss
King progg itself will not appear at the cave, when reaching the final floor of the Underground Nightmare, the only thing to find is a giant banshee-like scream distancing itself from the arena and a single, giant broken egg leaking poison from the inside, the egg can be avoided and broken, but whatever it is that hatched, is long gone, now, when doing a night expedition there will be a new search to be made, Yonny will tell you that something is appearing at night in the area, making all nocturnal creatures hide and even glow pikmin wouldn't raise any luminknoll as they could also be scared of whatever it is that's haunting the area, "It's as if they saw a ghost!" Yonny would say, he asks you to have a ton of glow seeds as they would be the only was to get pikmin in the area, and so, you will do the night expedition "hunt for the king", when reaching the area the place would quiet, deathly quiet, no creature, no luminknoll, at the first few seconds there would nothing, giving you time to use the glow seeds and produce a small army of glow pikmin, until, you start to hear someone, or something crying, even Collin would say "Who's crying? And... Why is this sending shivers down my spine...?", following the crying sound you would find a wall, previously just scenery, now with a giant hole, bigger them even a jumbo bulborb, now, when following deeper there would be a really beautiful view, a giant field of pale white flowers with the full moon shining and glowing, and in front of you, this gigantic, pale ghostly beast with a shining, almost golden like, core a top of it's head, his body would be twice as big as a smoky progg, his eyes would have tears flowing down, and only his face would have a somewhat stable form, as the rest of his body constantly deforms and reforms, trying to keep itself together, the fight would begin, I just like to say that for a soundtrack it wouldn't have one, Its battle would just be his own constantly crying as the sound that follows him, his existence is pain, for him and for everything around.
Phase 1: King progg would form two front legs and jumps in the air, starting to float around the area, leaving a trail of Its tear which would just slow you down when in contact and disappear after a few seconds, but, from his body falls cluster of eggs, which from them would start to spawn tadproggs, that in sync with their king, would be the ones to try suck and gobble up your pikmin, after a floating for a while he would descend and that's the time to strike, using your glow pikmin to do the "glowmob" attack and stun him, the giant ball of light would scare the King progg, and his body would become unstable, making his face melt and the core in his head to become exposed and now is your time to strike him, after a few seconds his body would stabilize and if any pikmin is still attacking its core, they would be sucked and eaten.
Phase 2: Now after jumping his would start to do a quick and rapid descend, needing to be really quick to escape or Oatchi-rush out of the way, his body would splat against the ground dropping eggs and quickly reforming and staying still for a second before doing it again, you would need to blind and destabilize him again with your glow pikmin, but if he stays still for more time, he could be baiting the player into giving a full banshee scream, which would make every pikmin and oatchi disperse, now making them go randomly but just run away from the creature as fast as possible
Phase 3: His body would become more and more unstable as the fight goes on, in a last ditch effort he would go to the middle of the arena and splat itself leaving the core in the middle and covering the whole arena with its goo, you would need to run as fast as possible to the middle of the arena, as the goo would produce waves that send you back and if hit pikmin, they would get stuck and get brought closer to the core, to be eaten when it reforms, so, you need to jump from the waves of goo and destroy the core once and for all, making the creature try to reform itself back as it keeps trying and crying, until its cries are silenced as they collapse and die, you are victorious and the creature found peace
Gosh, for a simple concept I had in my head first the idea just became more and more kkkkk sorry if the text is too long, got too excited! But, if you wish I give more ideas, I would be pleased to!

Wow I love the pyro perennial it looks so cool. Also I have an idea for an original character for Pikmin. It's called the poisonous Belcher a cousin of the joust mite but unlike its cousin it doesn't have a helmet but expels poison clouds around its abdomen it has larger wings then the joust mite to compensate for its larger body and like the name it barfs out a lot of poison clouds and while the squad of Pikmin (besides white Pikmin) the poisonous Belcher will stick out it's two barbed tongue to Pierce Pikmin and sucks them up you would need to throw white Pikmin at it's large abdomen since it's covered in a poison clouds but since the white Pikmin are small, they can't drag down the poisonous Belcher.i would imagine the colors being purple as a reference to the joust mite have a blue shell and the flighty joust mite having a red shell and red and blue makes purple and also it would have teal colors as well. the would be very chunky and fat and i hope you like this idea and it's fine if you don't 😊

An idea I had had on an enemy concept was very similar to Mario Sunshine's Cataquak, a small birdlike enemy that doesn't necessarily attack Mario, but flings him high into the air; the red ones do damage to him in the process, but the blue ones are harmless.
So, similarly, the Catapulting Quaskoop is a small, birdlike enemy (think about the size of a Bulbmin captain, between the sizes of a Dwarf and adult Bulborb) with tiny eyes attached to a "stem" on its head, short squat legs with little suction cups on its toes, with a flat, shovel-shaped bill, similar to a Mockiwi, but bigger; about the size one of Beady Long Legs' feet. It's essentially harmless on its own, with its only attack being yeeting your Pikmin behind and above itself, potentially flinging them into danger or off a bottomless edge in caves.
Its bigger (about the size of a Pikmin 2 Emperor Bulblax, with a bigger bill to go with it) cousin, the Crimson Catapulting Quaskoop, is significantly more dangerous; it will take a step backward after flinging Pikmin into the air to try and catch them in its beak, eating a maximum of 6 Pikmin at a time; you can interrupt this by stunning or freezing it, with Purples' slam, an Oatchi Rush, or simply using Ice Pikmin. However, if it's interrupted from catching its meal, or it's at low health, sometimes it can slam its bill straight down to squash Pikmin with, or charge directly at the captain to stun them and do a tiny bit of damage. However, worth noting is that it can't be stunned by an Oatchi Rush unless it's started walking backwards, thanks to its wide, suction cupped feet.

This is the first video of yours I've watched, and it's a great first impression. You suceeded in making all these enemies both great adaptations of Mario enemies and great Pikmin enemies in your own right. My only suggestion would be to make the Blooper-Wiggler more recognizable as a Mario reference; the design is great, but it would've cool to have more Mario-ness in it beyond the body shape and ink abilities. BTW, what was the music used here?

A cool idea I thought of for a pikmin boss is the candypop poser. The candypop poser would look like a normal candypop bud but once you put a pikmin inside the boss fight will activate revealing its 6 legs and giant eye on top. The bosses main gimmick is that it sucks up pikmin and changes them to what ever color the bosses flower is. The boss will also change the color of the flower throughout the battle. The way to damage the boss is to knock down its feet so that you can reach the glowing eye at the top of it.

I have a fun idea for the boo enemy: the boo will wonder around caves and dungeons looking for treasure to possess. If there is no treasure or if a boss floor it can not spawn. The boo will hide inside the treasure and wait for pikmin, your team, or oachi to pick the item up. As soon as any pikmin or oachi touch the treasure the boo will pop out making the pikmin scared and crazily run around. There is a hint that it is in the treasure though. If there is a windy aura around it, it is a possessed item. The way to kill it it’s like the large bulborb once it comes out. So yes that’s my idea please add it to one of your videos:)

As a person who grew up with the Pikmin series myself, I always enjoyed Pikmin 2 and it's difficult designs a lot as well, and even consider it my favorite to this day, and really do get blown away by the brutal designs of your bosses and enemies that make even the Titan Dweevil look like a cakewalk, and honestly, I really love these ideas! Sure they are unrealistic for the current Pikmin skill ceiling (Leaf Sage excluded) but they sound so fun to encounter and strategize against! The first time you find the Waterwraith had a second phase throws you off, so a strange potted plant with 3 or 4 phases sounds absolutely nuts and crazy fun to contest with and would be a bit better than how every boss is 1 and done.
So tldr, keep going with the brutal designs, bosses with more phases than any final boss, godspeed.

    Hey there, Paracosm! Danuki here!
I had JUST watched your videos on the unique Pikmin enemy designs you created, and I am BLOWN away by the creative direction you took for these creatures. They very much fit in the Pikmin world!😁😁
I actually have a proposal idea for Pikmin enemy that I thought about months back during the time when Pikmin 4 had just released, and I hope you'll be interested in drawing it.
My idea is an enemy called a Snatchit Scampervox. It has vulpine like traits and body structures inspired by a real fox. Most of the species in the Pikmin franchise were mostly based off of insects, amphibians, aquatic creatures and rodents, so I thought an idea of having a fox-like creature in the Pikmin universe would a more variety of enemies.
So most Scampervox species are basically a sly, cunning creatures, and a Snatchit Scampervox actually has an IQ that matches that of Koppians and Hocotatians. It uses its own cunning intelligence to trick their prey, especially Pikmin. When in battle, if the Scampervox takes a few hits from the Pikmin, it will suddenly "Die", playing dead and producing a fake soul, a sort of defense mechanism to trick players into believing they defeated the enemy. But when the Pikmin try to pick it up, it will suddenly be "revived" and snatch them in its claws and eats them up, proving that that the Snatchit Scampervox's behavior can be unpredictable at first encounter.
Note that when you first send your Pikmin to attack the Snatchit Scampervox, the health bar will not show until after the Scampervox catches the player by surprise with its fake death. Test to see if the Snatchit Scampervox is dead by throwing Pikmin on top of it or having Oatchi charge at it.
(If it Pikmin attacks it, it's still alive, which will make it wake up in its panic, but if the Pikmin is unable to attack it, it's confirmed that you defeated it)
At times, the Snatchit Scampervox will also raid the player's spacecraft to steal treasure that the player has collected during the day when the player and Pikmin are absent. If caught red-handed, the Scampervox -true to its name- will basically scamper at an incredibly fast pace back to its burrow, similar to that of a Breadbug, but with a LOT more speed.

Your goomba is a really neat idea. I'm imagining the behavior of the vacoombra sitting with it's feet buried disguised among mushrooms like it and when your army approaches, it jumps out of the ground for a brief moment and rushes in a straight line at your group of Pikmin nabbing a few as it passes (kinda like a goomba in Mario would behave, rushing at its opponent with reckless abandon). It continues until I runs into a grouping of the mushrooms or a wall and then starts prepping the incineration attack.

While mechanically I feel like you went in a very different direction than i would have for some smaller details, overall i absolutely love the direction you went with. The goomba looks so perfect and sucking pikmin up is such a cool way to incorporate that, and the idea of giving the piranha plant dragon elements is a really good one. One thing i will say, is i think itd make more sense if the bubbles the caterpede sucks up were just added to the chain behind its head, and then it just deleted ones at the end by turning them into ink, would maybe be a bit more lenient and comprehensible to fight against than the random teleportation, but personally i just love the idea of sucking up a bunch of water and turning anything inside it into a bubble on the chain.

i already suggested this but I cant think of anything more so I think I'll just post it until it gets picked or never gets picked.
    Boss idea:
    Name: congealed crushblo
Description: larger version of the calcified crushblat however the shell is rockier looking, and its legs are thick and short, and its head is smaller
phase 1: once entering sublevel 7 of decrepit caverns in blossoming arcadia (suggested pikmin: purple, rock, yellow) the player finds a huge looking rock in the middle of the room when walked up to it will grow thick legs short in length and then the battle begins. (side note there will be red, blue, white and ice candypop buds to the right two of each and the battlefield is dome shaped) [10 of each type of total]
phase 2: the congealed crushblo will start violently jumping around the room not knowing where it's going. once out of breath it will stop in place and start stomping until it regains its breath. the best time to attack would be when its stomping by throwing the large and heavy purples on the rock it will start to crack and with 20 purple hits its cracked (you may also use rock however it would take 50 throws in which you can only get in about 10 throws every stomp time.)
phase 3: once the rock is exposed it will be revealed but this time it looks just like a round reddish ball that is before its roles its eyes forward and opens its huge mouth. it is now squishy meaning pikmin will not be crushed however it does have a colored hue to it which indicates an element it has on it (40% chance for electric, 15% fire 15% ice 15% poison, 15% water)
if a pikmin of the wrong element is thrown on they will get the status effect. when it is yellow it has electric and when it bounces and hits the ground electric sparks will randomly shock in the arena like the titan dweevil from pikmin 2. if on fire when crushing a multitude of fire geysers will appear and start doing what they do best until destroyed. if water occasionally it will spit out water filling the arena with water, and it will suck it back in after time. if icy then it will blow out cold air making the room chilly and will make pikmin chiver icicles will also fall from the ceiling both of these things have the same mechanics from subzero sauna and they will stop when he goes to the next phase or if he switches to fire. if poison when it bounces it will expel poison gas in the arena. while all this is happening the congealed crushblo will also try to lick up pikmin by bending down and slamming its Toung into the ground (kind of like the creeping chrysanthemum)
phase 4: once hit enough the congealed crushblo will turn off all elements. and start running occasionally release every element at once indicated by a glow if every color. and then a deep breath once attacked a bit more it will seemingly die however there has been no health bar so far.
phase 5: the congealed crushblo will borrow into the ground and pop its feet out and start crushing in nearby areas from here its simple kill him with rocks once the health bar reaches none, he will finally die spitting out a castaway.

Idea for a Shy Guy inspired Pikmin Enemy: Mocking Wraiths! Appearing to have a cloak (think like a Hocotate-sized full body poncho) and mask, this is actually a membrane that contains the form, and acts as camouflage, as they can color shift the “Cloak” to match the environment. Lesser Wraiths, they mimic the attributes of other species, like the Long Legs of a Beady, the Balloons of the Careening Dirigibug, and many more, but it is unknown why, as the Wraiths don’t eat. Perhaps a sense of enjoyment?

Glow onion: in Nighttime theme cave you can find a dominant green onion but once you come close to it.
It will sprout out of the ground and will start grabbing a bunch of mud and starts part one of the boss.
Part one bullblax: a Sovereign bullblax with a lumiknoll on its back and bright neon green eyes and a green glow in its mouth with mud like skin.
It attacks like a Sovereign bullblax but it leaves glow sap when it attacks
Which kills Any pikmin it touches and when it does the jump attack it creates tricknolls.
The tricknolls can summons 5 to 9 glow pikmin to help the Lumiknoll emperor in battle.
The tricknolls can be destroyed but leaves glow sap when destroyed.
Part two long legs: a raging long legs twice the size of a normal raging long legs with groove long leg like Head with green eyes and muddy head with stone legs.
it stomps really fast but every twelve stomps it stops to lower its head and after five seconds it smashes it head in to the ground and starts to shake its head and releases a bunch of glow sap everywhere from the top of its head
Final part tower: the onion desperately tries to create a tall tower you must destroy.
with glowing Windows and mud/stone walls with vines.
The tower is stationary but can launch glow sap balls that explode at you
and shoots mud projectiles in five lines that spin in a clockwise or counterclockwise directions
And shoots giant boulders at you that can roll or drop down from the sky
And can shoot ten missiles into the sky and will drop on you
(And it can use two attacks at once)
And once you finally destroy the tower you get the green onion

Surprised that there was no loops style enemy. Probably a small bug that attacks by retreating into its shell before bouncing off of walls, trying to crush Pikmin before it gets dizzy and shows its weak spot. I think it would be cool if their corpse (shell) could be picked up or swallowed by Oatchi, allowing you to then launch the shell as your own projectile against enemies. The shell will bounce around so be careful not to hit your own squad with it!

How about a wrecking ball inspired chain chomp that hangs down from the ceiling, swinging around in an attempt to slam right into your pikmin? You'll have to bait it into hitting a wall, stunning it.
After enough damage is done, the chain snaps, and it begins rolling towards the captain slowly. In this phase, only the eyes can be hit, so you've got to avoid rolling it in such a way that crushes pikmin as they try and attack.

Here is the idea from the last video. the Frostcage Stalkshroom. It looks like the Puffstool from Pikmin one, but it’s body looks like one of those birdcages covered in fungi and it has six legs. It will scuttle around and drop icy mushrooms behind, exploding into an ice mist that will freeze your Pikmin if you get too close. It can try and scoop your Pikmin and put them in its cage body, holding them captive unless you knock it down. In a panic, it can also summon smaller versions of itself to chase you. It’s stalks look like frozen popsicles which it will use as its cover for when it hides on the ceiling. The legs are tipped with frosty ice cubes which allows it to sidestep away from Pikmin throws. Perhaps it can also have design features of a refrigerator if you want with icicles around its body

Alright, so I don't know if it'd be best to submit enemy ideas here here or the pixel art post, so I'll just put it here. I had a hard time deciding what idea to go with, but I noticed that you seemed to like enemies with multiple states/phases, and enemies whose looks can be deceiving. So, I went with one of my more humble creations, the Fringed Skitterleaf. Scientific name Rus Psuedofrivolum for its appearance mimicking a Japanese Maple leaf, which we may all know as the real-life item that is the Arboreal Frippery treasure. It may be small and thin at first glance, but make no mistake, this is a strategic predator. It lies in wait pretending to be a leaf on the floor of sublevels with many such leaves scattered around, however, unlike your typical Skitterleaf, it doesn't react when pikmin get near, or even when stepped upon by a pikmin or captain. It will wait until an opportune moment, such as a captain with a small pikmin squad entering the room, or more likely, a treasure or body being carried. It will then raise up its body on four, spindly, multi-jointed limbs, each cleverly concealed beneath a point of the 5-pointed maple leaf. The fifth point conceals its weapon of choice: a long barbed stinger, which it will use to skewer pikmin one at a time, carefully, before returning to its concealed state once all pikmin nearby have been eaten. It is often found on fake rest sublevels, where the captain will most likely be introduced to this enemy by a sudden drop in their pikmin numbers on a seemingly safe sublevel. But what happens when your captains do encounter this creature with a substantial enough force? Well, the Fringed Skitterleaf will panic, twitching erratically and skewering much quicker. But, on every third skewer, its stinger gets stuck in the ground, giving an opportunity to strike the agile creature. And of course, you can crush it immediately if you know it's there with a well-placed Purple or Rock throw. But would you really do that to such a poor, defenseless, little Skitterleaf?
Anyway, I'll definitely leave another comment next episode with more ideas. Especially if you give an idea of what sort of theme your next episode will be on.
