I wouldn’t recommend using low power mode unless you’re actually at low power. It takes away a lot more features, like pro motion which is your 120hz screen you payed extra for in the pro model. Other tips were great tho
@@AndrewClare Yeah turning off manually would be better. Otherwise you can check via privacy reports which apps are using location and how often and turn it off based on that
Here is some more tips and suggestions: - Do not use the gas station chargers - Limit third party app widget usage - Turn off the Significant Location and iPhone Analytics under Privacy and location services settings - Do not make your phone hot - (sorry sponsor) Limit wireless charging usage, thus making your phone hot - Keep as much storage as possible so your phone won’t lag/heat up when trying to store things - Turn off AirDrop when you’re not using it - Stay under WiFi as much as possible, cellular data draws in heat and makes your phone hot quick
The only setting I changed before watching this video was background refresh. I always turn that off with every iPhone and I always get about 2 days worth of battery. I have the iPhone 15 pro max and just that one setting alone improved battery life dramatically. I’m sure Al other options would improve it even further but I actually use them for my every day use. 👍
my brand new iphone 15 pro max is losing battery at 1% every 2-3 minutes with just very light surfing... omfg. i cant believe it. Can anyone help me? I turned off all battery draining settings such as AOT, background refresh and more..... fuck apple
Easy fix… Backup your iCloud. Do a factory reset and only restore your contacts/photos. If you use google, makes it even easier. And download all apps you use again one by one. I know it sounds ridiculous and tedious, but whenever you restore from iCloud backup, it brings everything into your new phone. Meaning if they’re some apps that are not optimized yet or haven’t gone through their version of optimization for the new iOS software and model, it will drain your battery heavily regardless of the tweaks you do. I work in the industry and this always happens. I guarantee if you do this, you will get your 2 days of battery easily with the iPhone 15 pro max. Of course depending on normal usage.
Hey @andrewclare really cool home screen you got there! Almost thought it was a Japanese flag but I love the minimalist look! Any chance you could guide us on how to achieve a similar look?
the best battery saving tips (to me) : reduce motion reduce white point reduce transparency turn off background app refresh turn off vibration NEVER use low power mode cuz it's drain battery health so fast true tone is a battery drainer too!
reduce motion? LOOOOL, get a plus model then, just sad NEVER use low power mode cuz it's drain battery health so fast, lol again - been using Low Power since series 11 until series 15, and my battery health didn't drop below 100% not even a 15 months later. Ive been using it every time my battery drops below 25% and/or I have a long trip ahead of me. Dunno where you came up with these wild theories

Yes, all of the things you said improve battery life. However, at this point, you already took most of the phone’s features 😅

Absolutely. This is an as needed feature. I am actually trying it all day today just to test the limits. Thanks for the tip
Turning off location is stupid, never do that as it turns off find my iPhone. If you then lose your iPhone, its bye bye
That’s a good point. This is why Apple Care is super important though. Also turning off locations for 99% of apps is an option as well
You can't get a replacement with AC+ if FMIP was OFF when the phone was lost/stolen. @@AndrewClare

Basically your turning your iPhone 15 pro/pro max into a worse base modelish iPhone. Your loosing all the pro features lol I would NOT recommend
Turn off your phone it will help a lot 😅
Probably
Good points. But for me i always want to put max screen brightness. As a user i dont want to put limit on my iphone.
True Tone has absolutely nothing to do with battery life, literally nothing
If I turn off location settings do my AirTags still work? Thanks
Yeah

Wow ,That's stand must needed
It’s really good!
On an Oled screen, white and blue are the colours that consume the most energy.
I noticed turning off AirDrop makes a huge difference on the battery
