Any one of the first 6, fired in double action, would've accomplished the goal of causing a behavioral change on the part of the attacker. Some orange paint on the front sight ramp will make your already excellent shooting even better. The m 206 is an excellent weapon. I have the dao version, and really like it. And as good as the gun is, the service department is even better, if you ever need it. I wouldn't hesitate buying another one. And btw, about 1/2 through the video, I subscribed to your channel.
Thanks I agree this is a awesome handgun. Great to hear they have good customer service. And thanks for subbing. I appreciate your time to leave a comment.
@@kanekochera57 I use white out as a primer for the orange paint. The reason is that you could conceivably have a white wall as a background, but an orange background is rather unlikely.
Update: I have recently sold my bobbed hammer m206 to my best friend, and purchased a da/sa model like yours as its replacement. These guns are awesome!
SHOW OFF! I mean that affectionately. Great shootin’! I am envious. I bought two of these for my wife and I and I’m waiting on delivery. I hope I can be at least as good as you.
Hamilton outdoors Update : Rural King couldn’t full fill my order. I ended up buying one from Shooters World in Tampa. Great little revolver for the money!
Nice video, I got mine around the same time you did.. They are way more money now, and the ammo flies off the shelf. I don't get pin point accurate shots with mine, but I get them all center mass and that works for me. It's my main defensive firearm and I think six rounds is plenty. Oh one recommendation, find this speedloader... It works better with the wood grips but you can still wiggle them in ok if you have the larger plastic black grips on: HKS Series A Speedloader, model DS-A
Even a 22 to the head is fatal! 38 special round will do the job! You really don’t need more than what you have. Nice looking and inexpensive gun! Practice two round double taps at 3 yards at double action, then move to five yards. Great defensive gun! Thanks.
Update finally took mine out shot a few rounds through it ran great now its time to take out out the m200. Rather have a decent revolver than a semi auto any day
Tell me about banging on the trigger guard! You're the only one who did! That's why I went directly to plasticon my 206. I discovered this with my Colt Cobra: Once bitten, twice shy!! The gap between trigger guard and grip must be avoided.
This would be my first revolver, I'm a very novice shooter and new to firearms. I have the taurus g2c and have taken it out a few times but still very fresh in the game. Would you reccomend this as a first revolver? Thanks
I would highly recommend this revolver if you're on a tight budget and just looking for something to start out with. If money was no issue I would probably look at Smith and Wesson or possibly Colt on the used market. But as an entry level revolver I think it's an awesome little gun. I would trust it just as much as I would any higher price revolver. Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the gun world.
@@HamiltonOutdoors thank you my friend! I'm on a tighter budget, and these ammo prices dont help. I think I will look into purchasing the m206 in a couple of months
Yeah I had trouble finding it too, I ended up just forking up the extra few bucks to get it off gunbroker. I probably paid like $40 more than what most people get it for but I don’t mind. I just wanted the damn gun.
@@ceo.n1773 I paid around $295. I saw most others on gunbroker for around $315 or even a little more though. It finally showed up a couple days ago and I just took it home yesterday! I love it, it’s a great looking gun.
@@AJ-gk7bn hell yeah man! Good to hear. Be safe and enjoy :) Love from FL. I’m still looking for a Ravens Arms .25 lol. They sell so quick. I don’t know why but I’ve always wanted a mouse gun. Even though my CC is a .357 G32 😂😂😂😂😂
Update the m200 is $229. Which still is a good price this sells at my local gun store for this price update sold both of mine and got something a little better
I have to say that this is one of my favorite guns. And I own several but there's just something about this gun that I just really like. Thanks for watching
I wouldn't put a steady diet of +p through it. But I would think it would handle them in moderation. I would try some plus p through it and to see which one shoot the best. And then carry those. And practice with regular ammunition
Just picked one up last week mine started out a little rough would not go into time double action the wheel would just spin. By now I'm thinking opps I bought me a dud.long story short I put some empty 38spl shells in and started wrkn it low and behold it started acting right. So it's not bad thanks for the review 🙄
Had to send mine back to the company. The hammer broke off while I was cocking it. Luckily I practice weapon safety, it discharged. RIA is thankfully sending a new weapon.
I picked up the M200 with the 4 inch barrel at my local Academy last summer. It was priced at $249. But they gave me a discount and I got it for $200. Then, they threw in a 50 round box of Federal 38 LRN for another $20. I honestly didn't even check it out very good. I told my son I had heard this gun was hit and miss, but I'd also heard they have really good customer service. Well, I got her home and instantly found that one chamber was badly out of time. I called RIA and told them my problem. The guy quickly apologized and assured me they would take care of it and that they would cover all shipping and repairs. I had a prepaid shipping label emailed to my phone in less than 2 hours. I got the gun back in 3 weeks. Not only was it repaired, it now has what feels like a custom action job ! I mean just slick as butter. Its a heck of a revolver for $200. And RIA customer service is just great ! Its just too bad the factory sends out so many of these guns that need repaired.
Good shots at the 8 👍💥
Thanks for the visit

Now you can't even find a box of 38 thanks for watching
