Thanks for your post. I just picked up a Rock Island Armory m206 and I'm pleased with it. Your comments pretty much match mine. I find it well made. Mine did not have machine marks or other unwanted problems. I highly recommend it.
I got the same revolver yesterday. I really like it. I got it as a backup in case my regular carry pistol breaks. I had bad luck with my LCPII in 22lr. No matter how many rounds or what kind, it was not reliable. I ended up selling back to the gun store I bought it from. I carry the LCP MAX, and that thing has been awesome
They are not "cheap," they are budget, and great for the price. They look like "work" guns, not pristine museum pieces, the kind of gun you'd hit a thief on the side of the head with just to get him to talk! I love mine...and yes, it's gorgeous in it's "1940s/50s detective" style! Wahi' Valleys
I bought a Rock Island M206 and love it. It has a solid feel, considering it's all-steel construction. I did purchase a set of Pachmayr Colt Detective grips which are softer than the set that comes with it. They have a better feel. The gun is well made. It holds six rounds as most detective pistols only hold five. I like that. The parkerized finish actually gives it a military look. I also like that considering I am a vet. I think these are well worth the money. Good video.
My Rock Island m206 is one of my favorite guns. I tried the plastic grips that came on it and didn't like them. Part of the appeal to the gun for me was the wooden broom handle grip. I appreciate you watching
I am picking my up on thursday ive been looking at it for while but i have the gi 1911 from them and its also not a shelf gun its just a workhorse and i wanted a steel frame revolver 6 shot and i didnt want to spend smith and wesson prices for a work gun
@@HamiltonOutdoors I must admit, I have looked over the Taurus guns many times, just couldn't quite buy one. Many complain about the customer service from Taurus, so I am hesitant.
I think it's a very good revolver. And the plastic grips fit fine. I just think they're too large for what I want the revolver for. And I like the old school look

I love that "raw" aesthetic.
Yes I think it is just old school cool myself
Nice gun for the money.

@@HamiltonOutdoors Thanks for the link. I enjoyed watching the video...very informative.
Taurus has come out with some guns that look interesting to me, but I told them I would never buy another, so I don't.

Is made of plastic or what?
All steel, no plastic in this gun. Thanks for watching

You’re really missing out if you’re so stuck on not getting a Taurus. Any of the G pistols are fantastic
Well I have since changed my mind. After I bought the TX-22 and now on a G2S and a GX4 and a G3 XL
@@HamiltonOutdoors fantastic! Glad to hear you’re enjoying them. I picked up an M206 today and also really like it
3.5 minutes of intro, long intro...
