I bought one new 5 weeks ago and just sent it back to Ruger for inspection yesterday per their request after contacting the service Department. I had alot issues with it jamming 2-3 rounds per mag in between shots. Rounds kept hanging up on the entry into the chamber which has a sharp edge. I used quality target ammo such as CCI mini mag solid 40grain, and 6 other HV brands. All had cycling the next round issues except for GECO semi auto solid .40gr which is a greasy ammo and hard to find. CCI mini mag had about 60% reliability. This was 150 rounds new out of the box and another 150 rounds with gun lube on typical friction points using 9 new magazines . Shot it enough to break it in. It is light and looks like a good pistol to have with all the time. One feature I like very much that no one talks much about is like the Sig p238, you can load the chamber & unload it while the safety is on. I hope they figure out why my LCP is running like a Saturday night special soon. Happy shootin
Put five hundred rounds through it, and it function just fine. Yes, mine feeds Federal Punch with no issues. It was manufactured in 2019 and is bone stock. Ruger Produces a fine quality weapon. However, when I worked plain clothes, an S&W J Frame was my companion. Cheers !
i have a colt junior and astra cub in .22 short, and .25 ACP, but i definately want to get something like this that i'm not afraid to get dirty/wet. I've tried carrying my classic firearms and i always regret it. I was very careful with a 1935 luger p08 and didn't even take it out its case and i still got rust on it on from the condensation, going from AC to 90 degrees outside. I need one of these disposable junk guns
I bought one of those guns couple of years back and it was JUNK. It didn't matter what kind of ammunition I put in that gun, it never cycled. It was total trash.
I want to like this gun but it would fail to fire “light strikes” on nearly every magazine until I replaced the firing pin with a hardened steel version on ebay and installed the Galloway firing pin spring. Now it seems to go “bang” consistently. Come on Ruger. Do better.
@@xray5043 Ruger in general manufactures a rugged and reliable firearm. Adequate but mediocre accuracy and usually way overweight. Used to be a bargain but not anymore. Their small auto pistols, especially the Literack, however, should be avoided. Their larger auto pistols are no more ergonomic or reliable than a HiPoint but cost 5x more.
What issues have you had with your Taurus 942 ? I've entertained buying one but haven't yet... I know the rear sight is rather suspect @@rizzodrat3076
a couple shots in the air, STUPID. 22s can go a mile and a half and what goes up comes down. You dont know where the bullets will land and how might be underneath them. Never do that.

Thanks for showing the clearing of the pistol. I thought something might be wrong with mine.
6:03 federal punch doesnt tend to run well in the lcp 2 due to the slightly longer case, just like cci stingers.
@@Brandon_Neil ive actually had really good luck w cci stingers
@fpsentertainment3091 I'm wondering if there was a mid generation change that made that possible.
@@Brandon_Neil not sure

Do you get the standard Ruger warranty if you bought it used? Or do you need extra paperwork steps?
@@mikem.2078 dont know
Is it single action and does the trigger reset like a Glock? Like does the trigger have. To come all the way forward to use or is there a click ?
Its a long heavy trigger pull with an audible click and longer reset. It has an internal hammer unlike the striker fired glocks.
Are you left handed or is the video mirrored? This firearm isn't ambidextrous.
This video is unedited so yes its mirrored.😊

@@johnblackwood1337 i had the same experience with the lcp max, but this one is a little tank

I have this pistol. It is not made for left handed shooters. What the heck?
I have lcp 22lr the trigger no work
Interesting, i hope ruger makes it right for you.
Try putting the magazine in it
It is a toss-up between my taurus 942 and my Ruger LCP II LiteRack as to which is the bigger piece of garbage. Absolutely terrible firearms.
I am sorry you've had a bad experience, mine has been flawless.
Ruger is or this specific model is trash?
