8 Feet Tall Translation - mysteriesrunsolved.com/2020/0...
Inunaki Village - • I visited Inunaki Tunn...
1. Yes I have 100% butchered many of the pronunciations in this, I've tried my best. The amount of times I've had to repeat Hachishakusama is more terrifying than any evil 8 foot demon woman.
2. I can not be held accountable for any curses being passed on.
You cursed me wrong.
She's gotten stuck in the door, rotating on her Y axis
Bring it!!!! Many women have called me a curse.
Curse unclear. Hachisakusama halfway stuck in bathroom mirror.
I can work with this, thank you :)
Have a look at hiragana. It’ll help show how everything is pronounced.
Ha-chi-sha-ku-sa-ma
Should make it easier to break up any words and pronounce them as best you can
Regarding number 2 (curses being passed on): We viewers do this at our own risk. It's understood. This was a creepy episode. I've been a fan of Japanese and Asian horror in general (ghosts, zombies, Kaiju, etc.) for many years. You have asked in other videos I've watched to send in recommendations for future videos, and while I don't have any specific paranormal incidents in mind (so many I'm sure I've never even heard of), I like the idea of working in more international paranormal stories that many viewers might not be aware of. Speaking unanimously for myself, I like studying multicultural takes on paranormal activity. It broadens the mind and brings appreciation for different cultures. It could even help expand your base of viewers. Considering your absolutely excellent work I've seen so far I would say you're very good at what you do...so go for it. Just a thought.
One version of the Slit-Mouthed Woman I've heard said that if you tell her you're late for an appointment, she'll step out of your way and let you pass unharmed. So very polite for a murderous spirit/monster.
Professionals have standards
I heard that if you say to her that she is "beautiful", she will let you live.
I also heard that saying you already have a significant other Will lead To the same outcome
@Rexorazor no, thats when she slits your mouth to re-create her scars
I think it’s interesting that across all cultures, supernatural threats seem honor bound to very specific rules of engagement lol
i have a friend who lives in shirahama japan. its a pretty rural place according to her. she recently told me a ghost story that she claims is true. she works at a resort where your employment includes a free place to live, so people just sort of go from city to city working at these resorts, so the people who work there, arent from there. one day one of the girls she works with comes in and tells about how, on the day before she set out from her room and started walking, for no apparent reason. she walked for over 2 hours without stopping when she could've easily have taken a bus. finally, she saw a woman who waved at her and motioned for her to come closer. when she started approaching her a police officer grabbed her by the arm and asked what she was doing. when she looked around, not only was the woman not there, but the area she was standing was a cliffs edge. this particular cliff is called sandanbeki, which is locally infamous for the high amount of suicides that occur there. but its even more famous for the number of ghost sightings there. its really interesting to think about stories like this. it makes me wonder how often they happen without someone to intervene or for someone to tell their story.
Ok
The "Poh Poh Poh" 8 ft tall girl demon scared the bejesus out of me
The Poh Poh got me sitting here eyes wide open! Like this 😳😳😳And now I am thinking.... Or no no FEARing... What if I hear that sound tonight in bed in the dark?POH POH POH😐😳😱 so yes I totally agree with you!! 😅
8 feet tall women in the past - scary
8 feet tall women after resident evil 8 - MOMMY
That game has really broken an entire generation
8 Feet Tall: .. ah shit... well.. makes my job easier I guess...? I mean, people wont run away from me any more
She's in Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water as well. It's one of the most stressful moments, the game blasts this nose at you. I think it's meant to be the "Po Po Po" sound.
Hi there, Japanese urban legends are so scary. I've heard several from the Philippines too and some of them are terrifying too. Loved these, best regards.
Ooo, I'll have to look into some of those! Thanks Dawn.
@@TheTapeLibrarydo some from all countries that you can find stories from
I just think all mongolaoid peoples have scary ass bedtime storys as a sick joke in their DNA just look at stuff from the americas what were asian and native americans smoking for all this nightmare fuel
Japanese got scary horror legends
@@TheTapeLibrary yah try philippines we have white ladies, mananangal monster that leaves half of its body and the upper part will have wings and fly and eat pregnant women, aswang, duwende and specially kapre half human half horse
Here's to counter the urban legends.
Kisaragi Station - You're fucked. Just don't get off an unfamiliar station or fall asleep on a train when you're alone. It's a limbo.
Red Room - You're fucked. Never try to search for the Red Room.
Teke-teke - Don't be a massive douche to anyone. Teke-teke will hunt you if someone has a grudge on you.
Slit-mouth woman - Answer something in the middle, not pretty, not ugly, just "ok" then run the hell away.
8-foot tall woman - It only targets kids. Get away from the village/town/city where you found it.
Aka Manto - just say "no thanks, I'm just taking a shit here bud"
Inunaki village - just stay in the city
oh no
I heard telling the slit mouthed woman that she's not your type works as well.
The Kisagi station was really crazy. Like taking the Spirited Way train, but without the protection of Yubaba. Many of these stories end up with the protagonist/victim stuck forever in the other dimension/haunted place.
Crazy video, Tape man! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you! (I now really want Tape Man to catch on as a nickname)
Well, in fiction, anything can happen. So only as crazy as the person making up the story's make-believe.
I LOVE that film! 😊
Kisaragi Station is someone trying to create a creepypasta imo.
First story: *Oh that wasn’t too bad!*
Second story: “You will have someone standing behind your lifeless body and a demon will enter your room”
Me: *Soul leaves my body in fear*
15:35 "Many say that hearing the story of the red room makes it much more likely you'll be visiting it soon."
Great. Thanks man. Very cool.
The red room made me do it
Hey Tape Man, I liked Kisaragi Station and 8 ft woman the best. The first one sounds like an allegory for hell. The second is scary because you’re never really free from death. Excellent choices!
Allegory isn't really something you'd call a real event, but it is the scariest one from Japan imo
I knew the 8 ft tall "Po Po Po" had to be coming at the end of the phone call but did not anticipate you getting us with the "Do you like ?" You got me. Well played & well told stories! Thank you! ❤
Gave me chills, if you're ever looking for more type of stories like this there is a series called yamishibai with Japanese folklore or tall tales!! I think it was on Netflix or Crunchyroll
Will look it up, thanks!
Yes I saw it on Netflix excellent series.
The tall woman one was intense. I haven't been that scared in a while.
The 8 feet tall woman absolutely scared the Bajesus out of me 😱😱 and I knew as soon as grandma said she wanted to see him again I knew immediately it was her and all my hairs stood on end. PO PO PO PO
I swear everytime my GF and I listen to one of these kinds of videos. We always kinda laugh and joke about how fake or goofy some of these stories are. We really love them and watching them have become part of our usual nightly routine whenever she stays the night with me. It never fails though. If she has to get up to go to the bathroom, or go to the kitchen for something. She will refuse to walk outa the bedroom alone. I usually even leave at least one lamp turned on in each room and hallway. So its not like the rest of the house is dark. But still. She will basically drag me outa bed and make me stand bh the bathroom door or in the kitchen with her.
I know this feeling
Can never be too careful I guess. Better to have someone else that can be a witness or a snackrifice
Its not stupid in japanese culture..🤷
Japan has the coolest demons and scary stories. They're so detailed and specific. I found your channel a couple weeks ago and instantly loved your work. You're one of my favorite horror channels, keep up the great work.
Honestly he's the best. Was never that much into these kind of stories, but this guys narration and visuals within the videos are just awesome.
Agreed, I think western horror has struggled with the invention of the cell phone and other securities bought about by modern technology.
Japan on the other hand just weaves modern conveniences into the stories to ratchet up the creep factor even further.
Hachishakusama 1st encounter
Hachishakusama: Hey, little girl, I like you. Do you wanna be with me?
During prayer
Hachishakusama: Hey there, come out and let's play together.
During on the car
Hachishakusama: Hey, don't leave me! Please stay with me for the rest of your life.
Timeskip
Hachisakusama: Hey, remember me? It's been 10 years since I saw you.
I realized what it is i love about your videos. They feel like illustrated novels, but an illustrated podcast? It's the best of both worlds!
This was genuinely one of the best urban legend videos I’ve ever heard. 👏
Thank you! This one didn’t get much attention which I was a little sad about because I LOVE these stories so much
these are some of the best urban legends i've ever heard! so glad i came across this channel. i love your style, presentation, and how you create an atmosphere with your videos... truly awesome! @@TheTapeLibrary
@@nb0616 Thank you!
A part 2 would be amazing. Your such a good story teller. Ive been binge watching your channel over the past few days, even while at work.
As soon as he got the call I knew what was up. His grandmother grew up in that village and loved her grandson. I knew she wouldn't risk his life even though she probably missed him.
Geeze, that was a scary sound. I'm already scared crap less. Will be hearing that when I go to bed. Thanks for scaring me.
That was 40 minutes definitely well spent. Thank you for creating such incredible content.
The ending gave me a laugh. That was awesome. lol
The last story actually kinda freaked me out lol, i definitely looked back a few times from my monitor cus my closet is directly behind me
Glad I found your channel! What a gem! I claim protection from all evil 777
Just caught up on this one. It was great! Well done!
That last story was so good
I cant get scared by the 8foot tall woman cause of that one H-anime lol
They made a movie about kisaragi station. It wasn’t very good but it exists.
Well, neither was this story so I'd suspect that might be the reason.
Hachishakusama is basically Japanese female Slenderman lol😊
8-Feet woman: *Stalking the Child*
Chris Hansen: "Hi, I'm Chris Hansen. You might know me from my work on the Dateline NBC segments "To Catch a Predator."
Not only did I learn a lot, but I was a little scared also... not gonna lie. Thank you for the upload! ❤
The tall woman is 100% in fatal frame 5 that clearly takes inspiration from this, one of the creepiest ghosts of all time
Nice to hear something for a change that actually creeps me out
Glad I could share the creepies!
I’m watching almost a year after you posted this because I’ve binging your videos!!!! I love this channel!!!!
8 feet tall scares me so much that my eyes water every time i hear someone mention it
You had me bitting my nails and quite freaked out!!!
OMG! Finally a narrator whose voice I really love. It’s purely a personal preference sort of thing but I have been looking for someone who reads stories with a voice that I can really enjoy while I’m working or when I’m ready to go to sleep. Your voice is the best I’ve found so far. It’s soft on all the plosives sounds and not overly animated. Perfect cadence…thank you.
Yay, thank you!
I’m the same way. I look for the same. Lazy Masquerade is a good one.
number 15 burger king foot lettuce
A popup that keeps coming up again no matter how much you close it and then leads to death? Hot damn malware be getting out of hand.
Cool video. My favourite story was Kisaragi station.
Eight Feet Tall was expertly told, really had me on edge some. Something about Japanese tales really seem like they're all true, maybe they are.
Thank you!
Love the way you narrate your videos, keep at it!!
Cheers!
glad i found this channel for the last 3 nights ive fallen asleep to the stories its been great. awesome telling of everything so far.
Glad you enjoy it!
Called it in the last story. Great video
That fucking ending!! 😵🤣
Do you like?
i thought it was brilliant. it made me look up ms. 8 feet tall. @@TheTapeLibrary
8 ft tall just trying to say "po..po..poltergeist"
tap, tap ,tap, tap...
😅
There’s a few Hawaiian urban legends that scared me as a child when I lived there. Still reluctant to say one aloud because it calls them, even though I’m in my forties and don’t believe in such things. (I do believe in not pressing my damn luck though. xD)
Can you…type them?? *wink*
That last one.. jesus
i very much look forward to part 2!
This was a gawd damn great video 🖤🖤🖤
Know what's the most scary part.....Seeing Geocities come up...talking about the dead, gjees!
I am feeling that internal feeling to heed your warning. Thank you.
Same, I’m glad he kept it 100%, love the channel but not worth my peace of mind and spiritual well being. That being said he’s got a new subscriber💯.
Same, it's nice of him to us leave a warning. Gonna watch his other videos.
The last story was BRUTALLY GOOD!!!!
Well done Tape Library, you never fail to impress….keep it up, success is sure to follow. There aren’t too many who can get as big a status like Nick Crowley and Nexpo but I believe you’ll get there. In my opinion your style already sets you apart and bravo to your editing. You’re very talented.
I wasn't much of a youtube guy when I started this channel, but have properly fallen in love with those guys since. The style they do is very much to my taste! Thank you so much for the kind words.
@@TheTapeLibrary Yeah I’m gonna be started my own content soon and putting it together over the next couple months but I’m gonna email you with two subjects I think would match your content style perfectly and I haven’t come across anyone else who’s touched on these subjects so look out for my email lol.
I ❤️ Urban Legends!! Thanks for the upload 😀
You're welcome!
this is the only channel who’s stories truly make me scared to be in the dark alone
Heya Tape Library, I was hoping you would make some videos on more Japanese and Philippino legends! Maybe some other Asian myths too!!! N I really enjoyed these😊
When it comes to movies, Asian horror movies are so much better than the formula films made in the US - IMO. And, as I recall, the best Asian horror seems to come from Korea.
As a side note, The Irish Film Board also makes great scary movies.
Man that 8 feet tall actually felt like a short movie in my head
Loved it
Would love a volume 2 of this, Japanese urban legends and folklore are so fascinating!
I have heard these urban legends so many times, and each time I do, I still get the chills.
So spooky. Your deliveries are disarming. 🎉
thank you!
That last story is effing nightmare 😱
SO SO GOOD!!!
My go to if I ever encountered a Japanese urban legend is to say “Sorry I don’t speak Japanese” and run. Apparently the key is how u answer the question
yup im not listening due to the intro.. but i will sub/like the video due to your honesty.
im a firm believer in the paranormal & the entities of certain stories being able to seek out anyone who hears about it.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who took that warning to heart. Love his content, but warnings are a choice, and I'm choosing hell no!
That was great! 🎉
As scary as this video is and seriously it really freaken freaked me out, however it got me through a horribly long slow day at work! So thank you man! I really enjoy your videos!
I don't know what it is, but Japanese urban legends and myths scare the PISS out of me compared to any country in the world. Its nuts...
Would be fun hearing you speak about Swedish Urban Legends
Oh this could be interesting as a series, urban legends from different countries. Are there any specific swedish ones you think I should look into?
@@TheTapeLibrary That would be a great series! I don't know any Swedish ones, but there's a story in Germany about a candle that needs to remain lit otherwise the werewolf will return.
1. Amazing Job and great voice I loved listening to this
2. You are pure evil for that ending and my phone was almost yeeted.
Bravo
Ending? No idea what you are talking about…
Po po po
8 foot woman 😢 That was terrifying
You mentioned behind those black screen rainy nights sleeping videos in the intro to the Red Room & I found that particularly curious to mention as a part of that story. Was there a particular reason behind that or just banterish implications for ppl like myself that take particular notice to specificities detailed like that being utilized?
Fantastic work! 👍🏻✌🏼😊
Thanks!
@@TheTapeLibrary 👍🏻😊
Great wi-fi on that train in story 1.
I just discovered the Tape Library. I want to binge.
do it! (welcome!)
dude i almost peed myself at the end,how dare you scare the living sh*t outtame lmao i did not expect the window pop up 🤣🤣🤣
Sozzer
Dear tape library team, please I beg you make a part 2 of this please I don’t scare easy but this chilled me to my core your other videos do to some extent but these Japanese urban legends are terrifying I hope to see a part 2 soon🙏.
I've wanted to for ages, but I keep having other topic pop up and I'm easily distracted
@@TheTapeLibrary could this mean a potential part 2 in the future? I would definitely be looking forward to that.
@@CJ_00 Oh yeah, I really want to get to it at some point!
@@TheTapeLibrary as one of your biggest fans you can best believe I’ll be here, always love getting a hot drink/coffee in the morning’s watching one of your vids can’t wait for this one!🤝
@@CJ_00 Appreciate the support! Thank you :)
Loved this, it would be cool if you did mexican/native urban legends/legends
that’s a great idea
@TheTapeLibrary Yeah, there are so many that are very good that are from during mexico as a country and ones that predate mexico, also there are various prehispanic creatures that are very interesting
@@lewdicolo6328 someone else suggested doing a Swedish one. I think it could actually be a really fun series to do
Yes I second the Mexico/ different countries one!
Born and raised in Austin. Love this episode 1.. waiting for 2. Crazy new info
These were great, and your delivery is fantastic! My sleeping cat woke and looked at me in alarm when "Po po po" started. I had to reassure him that we are not in Japan.
got really high and watched this right before bed. highly recommend.
You sound like a young lazy masquerade. I like it👍🏾
According to google I am in fact older than LM haha but thanks!
I was supposed to listen to this and try to get some sleep, and it was working out ok at first, but I never did get any actual sleep. Hmm I wonder why -because these are so good! Thanks
3 AM, headphones in and the sudden sound in my left ear made me almost piss myself from fear lol. Thanks xD
A little late for me to comment, but that dam picture of the slit mouth lady took me out😂
Hey, new subscriber here..thank you for this story ❤
Thanks for subbing!
Ok, Japan is off my bucket list permanently!!!!
What's up with Japan and ghost stories about bathrooms 💀 I'd never dare to go to a public bathroom haha.
8 feet tall laughs like a One Piece character, lol
All i can say is JFC, i was on the edge of my seat the whole time and i think i only just started breathing again when it finished!
Please make more videos about Japanese legends!!
Thank you ❤
Hachishakusama must be my most favorite Japanese urban legend
My cat Poe was very interested in your last story 😂
Hi Poe!
Oh no, big lady. The internet totally hasn’t ruined my fear for this concept, turning it into absolute down baddedness.
I live in Hamamatsu. The Kisaragi Station shit was apparently really Famous story back then. My friend knows the story. She said it was famous back when she was a High school Student.
The kisaragi station story was essentially a schizo getting scared about being lost and 2ch users bullying him.
Ok the last story really caught me off guard and gave me chills 😢
