I was falling asleep listening to this and was woken up by the EVP recording. I can hardly describe the visceral and genuine discomfort I felt hearing it. It was almost like smelling smoke or gas in the house, that kind of "something is wrong here" feeling. Absolutely wild.
I couldn't finish it. I thought, "Yeah, listening to that would make you lose your mind after a while." Whatever is in that house, it sure isn't the ghost of a little kid!
I couldn't make out anything but static. All I ever hear when someone plays these sorts of tapes is static. I believe in ghosts, but if they wanna talk to me it sounds like they'll have to try a different way 'cause I hear nothing on these tapes.
I highly recommend Deborah Pickman's book "The Sallie House", which is available on their website. The book describes their many experiences during their two years living in the house in the early nineties, including the entity's physical attacks on Tony. The name "Sallie" was found written on an art board in their son's room when the boy was too young to know how to write. After the Pickmans moved out, the house's owner eventually decided he could make more money renting the house out to ghost hunters than renting it as a residence.

I've experienced a lot of very strange things throughout my life, sometimes it left me afraid to move a muscle until morning. But it's sort of complicated when it's actually happening to you. Like, i was a kid, and i was the only one experiencing anything, so i had no choice either way. As terrifying as some things are, you're always told "it's not real", and you don't always have people to talk about it with. So afterwards you tell yourself maybe i imagined it or maybe there's some explanation to it. It can be confusing, and also, it can follow you wherever you are. One of the last things that happened was, i was always getting a strong feeling like someone was in the room, but this particular night it felt even stronger. I tried my best to ignore it, tell myself it's all in my head. Somehow it felt as though it was getting closer. Until it felt like something was hovering right over me in the bed. The feeling was so strong that my ears rang a little as some anxiety kicked in, and right as it felt at it's strongest point, i heard tapping on the wooden bed frame directly beneath me. Very clearly, unmistakable, the sound of fingers tapping on the wood. The feeling i got from it, was like something knew that i was trying to ignore it. i definitely was for a while trying to ignore everything. But it felt like that was the point, to make it clear that this WAS real, and i was not imagining it all. I scared so bad to realize it that way. After lying there afraid to move for a while, i jumped up, and turned on every light and TV i could. I spent some time out in the living room. Took me a while to get past it, i was a little uncomfortable at night. I still sleep with some light on in the room.
@derealized797 yeah, that makes sense that you'd be worried- I'm spiritual but I'm also rather skeptical of most "paranormal activity," even when it happens to me since I haven't had anything creepy happen since I started antipsychotics lol, but your experience sounds similar to some I've heard of before- have you ever considered that it was sleep paralysis? My grandparents owned a house a couple blocks away from the Sallie House. Their house is a Queen Anne Victorian on the National Historic Registry. It was creepy to me as a kid but now as an adult, I appreciate the architecture. I swear that house is haunted too but nothing like the Sallie House.
I used to live in an huge old British house as a kid, it was haunted alright, all the maids etc. knew, my mother used to pray every morning to keep us safe

Never, apparently. These spirits are always presenting themselves as a little girl, have you ever noticed that? What is the human spirit you would feel the most sympathy for while also finding them the least intimidating....A LITTLE GIRL. i dont think thats a coincidence at all. They're simply what our ancestors would call "demons", and if they presented themselves as what they truly are, people would never give them any sympathy or invitation into their lives like they give a little girl they think is suffering with her traumatic death. Human spirits go to the other side nearly immediately, imo. Whichever place that may be have been to them in life. "Heaven" for instance. These "little girl" spirits imo are just riff raff from the dark side spilling over into our dimension. But I've always maintained that this dimension, God (whomever you suppose that is to you), made for humans and we are the spirit that is the strongest here. Which is why with enough tenacity you can banish an evil spirit from your environment. UNLESS you invite the riff raff in, offer it a home because "what if its a little girl?" Theres a reason they havent "gone to the light" where our beloved ancestors reside. Because they aren't invited. They're evil and the light is nothing but pure love. Im sure you dont agree with everything ive said, ppl rarely totally agree about these things. But i do totally agree with, when will ppl learn spirits arent their little babies that need nurturing. If they were a real human little girl spirit the only humane thing to do would be to ask it to go to the light or for god to take them home immediately. Not let them run rampant around your house scratching and biting you and disturbing your peace. Screaming like the demon they are into your Panasonic.
@@banned7times eh for me ever since I was little I just seem to attract them good and bad took long time to learn no fear and how to deal with them my self currently I just block out the negatives but they sometimes get through when I'm asleep and gota deal with them in the dreamscape or astral how ever you see it the nice ones I let engage with me but they only come around couple times a year now to busy to pay attention to them. From age 5 to 16 every night I went to sleep id be in lucid dreams being killed in various ways by negative entities and was haunted for a long time. One of them was possessive cuz when I was with my ex the entitie would go into her dream threatening her that I belong to it. I heard about 15 seconds of the recording at the end and I chose to not keep listening. I know there's a wide range of beliefs across this channel's audience but I personally believe that very real energy can be transferred through frequency and sound, some of it good, some not so much. I can look at a seemingly cursed image and shake it off eventually but stuff like this can definitely make an impact. If your body reacts to something in a way that makes you feel like you need to exercise caution, you should listen to your body and proceed accordingly. This might be a huge stretch, but I think whatever presence that was on the other end of that recording knew the nature of its energy and the effect it can have so it chose to share it... again, just my beliefs but, whew... I try to be as skeptical as i can about this stuff nowadays because a lot of things can be explained but some things definitely keep me wondering and searching. Thank you for providing this sort of content to us. In my opinion, it's important.
That's why I decided not to hear it, he was like "im an optimistic skeptic" and "this made me froze" and I went, NOPE. I'm not bringing all that with me.
I closed my eyes in broad daylight at work surrounded by people to listen to the recording. I was half listening to the entire video so I was not overly absorbed into the story. All this to say that the moment that screaming came on, my proverbial hackles raised, my spine tingled, I felt an oppressive mass looming behind me and my eyes SHOT open. I am no where near this house, the sun is shining and bright and the world goes on around me unaffected. But seeing what I have seen and experienced in my lifetime I know this to be real. And I know better than to visit that house. This was the perfect spine chilling ending. I am terrified.
Everyone reacts differently to paranormal activity, this guy Tony is very low-key, intelligent, down to earth person, what he and they experienced was intense activity, very rare and unexplainable.

That is very possible. It's believed that there are benevolent ghosts and malevolent ghosts. There's also been instances of ghosts and spirits warning others of demons in the vicinity.
Very cool videos and overall vibe to the channel. Regarding the EVP in this video - from what I’ve read, the Panasonic RR-DR60 (which was used to record the EVP) is popular for EVOs because it’s a voice activated recorder that can only record when it hears something. However, due to internal noise it throws a lot of false positives, which is great for ghost hunters wanting “evidence.” The other quality is very poor compression which makes everything sound like a hiss or something being rubbed over then microphone which may be what we’re hearing in this EVP. While it does sound like someone breathing or trying to speak at first, it’s hard to glean anything else due to the poor quality of the mid-1990s technology. Hopefully people will begin to opt for more modern and clear voice-activated recorders.
Yeah I believe they went over this in the podcast I mentioned and did some tests with the recorder itself. From memory, I think they also spoke about the possibility of it picking up radio signals as a possible explanation too. I think they did get recordings of noise and interference but never to such an extreme level as they did in that room, but it’s been so long since I listened to it at this point.
I have no idea about anything. However, what it sounded like to me was a few giant gushes of wind hitting a mic. Or..you know that sound the wind makes when you’re driving fast with all but one window slightly or completely open? Kinda like that but distorted. Not saying it’s fake or anything. But to me, that is what it sounded like.

for any of you who happen to read this, I hope I can hear your thoughts. I have an aunt who owns a haunted attraction named the McInteer Villa in Atchison, KS just a few blocks down from the Sallie House. Although her mansion gains quite the attention, of course it hasn’t reached the level of fame as the Sallie House - but I do hope it grows! Her passion for the paranormal as well as keeping the house as authentic as possible is worth noting, and the house is always worth exploring. I have been to the villa quite a few times, and she always has footage available of what goes on in there. She specifically has an audio recorder that she likes to talk to and leave alone for things to talk back. That EVP at the end, as uncomfortable it sounds, wasn’t a shock to me at all. It is EXACTLY what happens whenever we leave the EVP in specific places. It always sounds like something screaming at the top of its lungs, aggressive, mean. It’s always in response to her voice. It’s in the basement. In the kitchen. You put that audio recorder anywhere and if she asks it a question, that’s the only response you’ll get. On the flip side, that is not the only entity in the house. That is just one of them. Other “spirits” will have their voice heard. They’ll interact with certain technology, and not everything there is unfriendly (?) or seemingly evil. But that sound? The screaming? It is known that whatever is in the Sallie House is demonic. This makes me wonder if there is a demonic entity in the Villa as well. Thoughts?
I’m gonna need to go rewatch the ghoul boys’ episode on this house and watch Shane yell rock and roll buckaroo while lying on the pentagram before I’ll be able to leave the safety of my bed. That recording at the end awakened some kind of primal, deep seated fear and repulsion in me.
I love horror and the paranormal so much. Literally when I came across this video I got so happy lol. Idk why watching these videos makes me so happy, but I watch them while eating. It's a must.
I'm subscribed to Astonishing Legends and I remember when they posted the episode the last audio clip was in. I was working third shift at the time and had earbuds in, I was all alone and that sound just started playing. Normally it doesn't bother me but something about that sound set off every alarm in my head and I started to freak out.
Another excellent video. You are so thorough but also unbiased. Its so strange that to the wife, it was benign but for her husband it was horrendous and violent. I can't imagine what he went through. I used to watch Sightings as a kid and this eerily took me back. I remember watching episodes about the Sallie house. I was totally creeped out but at the same time captivated by those episodes
You cant die from too much anesthesia while also being concious screaming from the operation. Either you overdose, lose conciousnes, and stop breathing OR you get too little anesthesia and are awake for you surgery. So yea, the story at first about a girl screaming as the doctor cut into her dying while concious screaming, but also dying from an anesthesia overdose IS incorrect and a rumor. One or the other happened. She got too much anesthesia and died from that or she didnt get enough and died of the shock of being operated on while fully concious and already in a very weakened state of health. I feel bad for that doctor being blamed for the death of a small child by people who didnt have even the most basic understanding of how anesthesia works...saying he gave her too much. If she was still concious, alert enough to scream? Oh then she didnt get even half enough anesthesia to operate without putting her little body into shock. But had she been stronger you can do an operate without any anesthesia...during the civil war the confederacy ran out of anesthesia and they just gave them a piece of leather strap to bite down on while they amputated a leg or arm. 😬

Once again, too little anesthesia would not kill her, but if he was batshit insane enough to start operating on an extremely sick child with too little anesthesia she could have possibly died of shock, but NOT too little anesthesia. However i had my doubts a doctor would act so crazy, operating on a concious child (if the child is still awake and screaming they clearly have not recieved enough anesthesia) and as I suspected, and learned after I wrote this comment, that the scenario likely never happened at all. "Sally" turned out to be a demonic entity, and according to the video, no known tragedy like the rumor described happened at the house.

I cant be the only person who thinks that EVP sounded like a very viceral scream, specifically a girl or a woman screaming as if theyre getting abused or tortured. It sent chills down my spine because ive never heard such a specific and vivid thing from the EVP's before.
I remember this story being featured on 📺 in the early '90's. The weird thing about the scratch marks is that they would appear on Tony's body ONLY when the 🎥 focusing on them BLURRED. 🤔
It is possible that he had dermagraphia and scratched himself beforehand, the scratches can appear as welts up to half an hour after being scratched. But that doesn't explain spontaneous bleeding.
If my Fur Baby was standing at my child's nursery door barking and refusing to go in the nursery, that would be my clue to grab my child, and Fur Baby, and get the heck out of there ASAP. I've lived in numerous haunted places, and I always study how my animals act, because they see and hear what we can't, especially cats, but canines are great at detecting too. Animals know way before we do about things, and people need to learn to listen to them. Animals can even tell us about people too.
@TheTapeLibrary Because they view you as the Alpha, but usually, animals will try and stop their owners from going into anywhere that is haunted, especially if there's a negative entity there, or more then one. I was at the table on the computer, and my Fur Baby at the time stated barking, and running down the hall, and then she'd ran back to me, and she'd sit where I couldn't get up from my chair, and then she'd bark, and run down the hall again. I managed to get up, and I grabbed my ex's .357, and took the safety off, because I thought that maybe it could've been this young man that my ex had made mad, and he had made some unwanted advances towards me, so I stood with my weapon drawn, and I called out his name, and my Fur Baby, Tandie Bear, wouldn't let me move, but she took down the hall barking and growling, and ran back to me. I got her leash, and put it on her, and I took my weapon, and we went to where my ex was playing poker. Another time I was laying in bed, and Tandie Bear jumped up, and was running around on top of my bed, barking and growling, and I grabbed my Bible, and I started reading Psalms 23, and Psalms 91. Tandie Bear would calm down, but when I stopped, she would jump up again, and start growling and barking. This went on for about 30 minutes, and I kept reading the same Psalms until she stopped.
We had a cat in our first apartment. There was a door to a storagevroom where the furnace was. It was a duplex, it used to be a cheeze factory years before. Anyway just before we moved out they were replacing the coal burner to a more efficient gass furnace. The workers tried to getbour cat to come out there. He would only come to the door. They woukd oick him up and he would letnthem pet him and purred but if they crossed the door frame he would fight to get inside the apartment, stand and watch them at the door. They told us they thought that strange seeing how there would be mice. A few days later I was sleeping in our room, my husband got home frome work ar 2 in the morning, having been woke up it took me a bit to fall asleep. My husbad was sleeping, the cat on the bed with us he backed to the headboard fur all raised as a little girl with blond hair, blue eyes and a white sailor dress with the little matching hat walked into the room asking where her mommy was as plain as day. I was so scared, I said I dont know where your mommy is but I am not her! Always wondered what that was about. I had heard the story for years of my mothers step sister being swept away after the creek rose after a heavy rain. She always blamed herself as her stepmom loaded her with so many responsibilities. When Mom died we visited her other step sister who had on her end table a picture of the little blond girl in that very sailor dress, a picture of her little sister Irene who drowned in the 1920s in the creek by the house they lived in. I have been told that you shouldnt hold onto the dead in greif or guilt it traps them her and they csnt move on.

I'm the same with evps, they never really strike me as anything to write home about, and quite often they remind me of those "What do you hear?" videos where you're presented with a list of phrases and some ambiguous audio. But mother of God... that last audio clip was one of the most chilling things I've ever heard, real or not.
Awesome coverage on this one. I remember that episode of sightings as a kid. That show terrified me. This episode in particular was a scary one because at the time, my mom and I lived with her then bf who’s house had something, and when I say something in it, I mean it was legit a something lol. The end of this video was creepy as shit. Whatever that was, sounded like it was trying to talk at some point.
Yeah I shouldn’t have heard that. I have heard and seen many things in my life ant that recoding ranks up there in my “radar” it felt bad. Bad is an understatement of how my body reacted to it.

I have been on an investigation there. The house is dark, but it is also really old and moldy smelling. There is a couple videos you should watch that was caught by a group of investigators led by a college professor and his students.

I find it crazy that I lived in Atchison for about a year and probably been by the Sally House property several times without even realizing, creepy stuff.
Dr Finney NEVER practiced medicine in the house at 508. He actually lived next door in a red brick house. He lived in the house as a young man. But when he came back he buitlt the house next door. He was the Mayor of Atchison. Well respected and the story of Sallie is a fabrication. All I will say is, Sallie is very much a similiar happening to the Amityville Horror house. Great for making money and selling books.

I remember Buzzfeed and Ghost Adventures made videos on their visit to the Sallie House! Risky to go there, but poor Tony suffered and poor kitty! Tony later had to come back to find out about how the woman who moved in might have trashed the home and discovered the horror of the basement upon the return. Someone must’ve done something in the basement before Tony and his family moved in by hexing it and performing a dark ritual.
Well that was horrific!! The recording at the end. I kept listening for words or sounds in what I thought was a stream of static like wind blowing across the microphone. And then all at once I could hear it was not static. It was a voice, a growl, or barking like a wild dog. Quickly fast forward to end of video. I have not heard evil like that in a long, long time
I lived in a haunted town house in Perth Western Australia for a few years .I still get nightmares about the goings on in the place 30 years later.i don't think the experiences will ever leave me .there are such things as ghosts spirits and demons I learnt the truth of that the hard way .
Does "BUYING" house mean something else in America??? Cause they BOUGHT the house but then "talked to the landlord"??? Totally confused? Here in NZ, buying a house means you DONT have a landlord
It could just be a mess up in the telling and the "Landlord" could have been a previous Land Lord before they bought it and he'd have information, or maybe the house exists on a large piece of land with other houses and the land is owned by someone else

I listened to the EVP and felt a really weird sensation on the back of my head. After that it moved to the front of my head and I got an extreme headache for the rest of that day. That late afternoon a door closed on it's own with a loud bang. I was home alone...I hate this.
Update: My headache is gone, but I have been hearing a deep voice in my head. I've also seen a white and skinny being in my head and I feel more down than usual, more disoriented. My dreams are normal. Not too out of the odinary, though I'm still worried and scared. I sometimes don't recognise myself in the mirror. This all happened after I listened to the EVP. I'm gonna sage and clense my house and myself. Energies/spirits are not things to be played with. Pls be careful

I don't usually leave comments on videos like this. I usually play these videos in the background while im playing games that require alot of concentration, but even hearing your warnings of the final EPV at the end of the video I still decided to listen even while being preoccupied with a game I was playing. As soon as the sound started I froze in my seat and my focus was completely taken off of what I was doing. Almost like I was petrified and frozen in fear, but for some reason I couldn't stop listening. It cause my heart to race and I instantly felt a pit of nausea in my stomach as the recording went on and on. The demonic screeching fueling the Naseau I was feeling and the paranoia slowly starting to settle in. I don't spook easy. But this EPV recording is forever etched into my mind

I found this video interesting. The media attention given to the case is partly responsible for the escalation of events. I’m sure Mr. James was honestly reporting what he believed about “Sallie.” No psychic has 100% accuracy stats and further, if there was a demonic entity there, it would probably use the illusion of a child to garner sympathy and permission to stay. There are no records of any child dying in the home. The only targeted person was the father, Tom. The recording at the end was very garbled. At one point it sounded as if someone screamed in anger. I could hear no discernible words at all. Indiscriminate noises are not really EVPs if no actual vocalization occurs. Perhaps the house should be destroyed to prevent further people from ritualistic acts inside.
I heard the whole "hes mine" and a chill went up my spine. I was laying in bed cuddled up to my boyfriend (i had my head on his back fast asleep) i suddenly lifted my head out of sleep (i swear i heard the door open slightly), looked dead at the door, and said "hes mine" and i heard the door creak closed (we keep it slightly open cuz our cat likes sleeping with us but sometimes she uses the litter box in the other room) he lifted his head up and told me he was about to go into sleep paralysis and hearing me jolted him out of it and he was able to move again. He told me i saved him from going into it. Ever since then, he hasnt gone into sleep paralysis, but i have. Quite a few times. And it was dreams ive had or felt ive had in the past. And it was creepy. Cuz ive never dealt with that but he had it constantly growing up. Its almost like i claimed my boyfriend so i took over his sleep paralysis.
Woa- that was actually intense. Had to sit back and think if I would end up getting cursed from hearing that but ended up listening to it anyways... and damn the shivers this gave-
I listened for maybe 3 seconds of that EVP and I immediately felt weird in my head, no lie, like my room was spinning!! I've watched it all, have heard it all, and NEVER in my 44 years has anything made me feel like that EVP did....gave me an instant headache! I could not even finish it!
You warned about the audio at the end and I have heard screaming before in EVP... but that indeed was terrifying. So much so that I could not listen to the entire thing. I do not allow the paranormal to affect me in a negative way and am able to brush it off, but I can see how people find that traumatizing. I have had my own experiences with the occult...things I wont share with anyone, and that audio reminded me of something very specific that happened to me.

I really appreciate that. I do try to include trigger warnings whenever I know I’m going to talk about something sensitive. Spirits, ghost whatever you want to call them do exist. The area I grew up in is crazy haunted. Doors would unlock, open, we could hear someone step into or out of the home, the door would shut and then relock all on its on. We lived in a mobile home which had 3 doors, one off the kitchen leading to the backyard, two on the front; one in the living room and one in the hallway. One day my Mom, oldest sister and I were in the trailer cleaning. Mom and I were in the kitchen and my oldest sister was headed to my Mom's room, (off of the living room), to put up some laundry, when all the sudden all 3 doors swing open at the same time, then slammed shut.She was nearly hit by the living room door!! All 3 doors were locked because Mom just mopped and she didn't want anyone coming in and tracking up her wet floors. No one would be in the trailer and it would sound like a party was happening inside but would stop if anyone looked in any window. One day my Grandmother was taking a shower and heard who she thought was my Granddaddy, asked him to bring her a bar of soap. (for whatever reason Mom kept the soap in the kitchen cabinet instead of in the bathroom). She heard the footsteps going down the hallway into the kitchen, heard them coming back down the hallway and open the bathroom door. She pulled back the shower curtain to get the soap from Granddaddy only to see the bar of soap floating in the air! My Granddaddy installed a tub/shower combo in their house starting that next day. These aren't the only things which happened and it wasn't just our home either. Everybody from that hollow has their own stories. Some stories would make the tiny hairs on the back of your head stand on end. None of our spirits, except one, were bad. I'll give you one more. Their were woods behind our home. There was a doubletree about 10 feet into the woods to the left of our home. One night I was walking back to our home from my sisters, (20 yrs old at the time), home, (on same property), when I looked up towards the woods. All the woods was gone and I could clearly see the doubletree and a man standing there dressed in a brown suit but didn't have on any shoes. He was looking at me. This scared me so bad that I became hysterical. I ran into the trailer and my Mom ran to me trying to calm me. She had to slap me in order to shock me, which allowed me to be able to speak. Don't know why slapping works but it does. I told her what I saw and she told me it was alright, hugged me, finished settling me down and put me to bed. She must have told my Grandmother because the next day Mamaw sat me down, showed me some pictures of people in coffins and asked me if any of them was who I saw. I pointed out the man and asked why he was in a coffin and who he was. That's when my Mamaw told me it was my oldest sister's father who drowned when she was 2 years old.

I was falling asleep listening to this and was woken up by the EVP recording. I can hardly describe the visceral and genuine discomfort I felt hearing it. It was almost like smelling smoke or gas in the house, that kind of "something is wrong here" feeling. Absolutely wild.

I highly recommend Deborah Pickman's book "The Sallie House", which is available on their website. The book describes their many experiences during their two years living in the house in the early nineties, including the entity's physical attacks on Tony. The name "Sallie" was found written on an art board in their son's room when the boy was too young to know how to write. After the Pickmans moved out, the house's owner eventually decided he could make more money renting the house out to ghost hunters than renting it as a residence.

I've experienced a lot of very strange things throughout my life, sometimes it left me afraid to move a muscle until morning. But it's sort of complicated when it's actually happening to you. Like, i was a kid, and i was the only one experiencing anything, so i had no choice either way. As terrifying as some things are, you're always told "it's not real", and you don't always have people to talk about it with. So afterwards you tell yourself maybe i imagined it or maybe there's some explanation to it. It can be confusing, and also, it can follow you wherever you are.
One of the last things that happened was, i was always getting a strong feeling like someone was in the room, but this particular night it felt even stronger. I tried my best to ignore it, tell myself it's all in my head. Somehow it felt as though it was getting closer. Until it felt like something was hovering right over me in the bed. The feeling was so strong that my ears rang a little as some anxiety kicked in, and right as it felt at it's strongest point, i heard tapping on the wooden bed frame directly beneath me. Very clearly, unmistakable, the sound of fingers tapping on the wood.
The feeling i got from it, was like something knew that i was trying to ignore it. i definitely was for a while trying to ignore everything. But it felt like that was the point, to make it clear that this WAS real, and i was not imagining it all.
I scared so bad to realize it that way. After lying there afraid to move for a while, i jumped up, and turned on every light and TV i could. I spent some time out in the living room. Took me a while to get past it, i was a little uncomfortable at night. I still sleep with some light on in the room.

Never, apparently. These spirits are always presenting themselves as a little girl, have you ever noticed that? What is the human spirit you would feel the most sympathy for while also finding them the least intimidating....A LITTLE GIRL. i dont think thats a coincidence at all. They're simply what our ancestors would call "demons", and if they presented themselves as what they truly are, people would never give them any sympathy or invitation into their lives like they give a little girl they think is suffering with her traumatic death. Human spirits go to the other side nearly immediately, imo. Whichever place that may be have been to them in life. "Heaven" for instance. These "little girl" spirits imo are just riff raff from the dark side spilling over into our dimension. But I've always maintained that this dimension, God (whomever you suppose that is to you), made for humans and we are the spirit that is the strongest here. Which is why with enough tenacity you can banish an evil spirit from your environment. UNLESS you invite the riff raff in, offer it a home because "what if its a little girl?" Theres a reason they havent "gone to the light" where our beloved ancestors reside. Because they aren't invited. They're evil and the light is nothing but pure love. Im sure you dont agree with everything ive said, ppl rarely totally agree about these things. But i do totally agree with, when will ppl learn spirits arent their little babies that need nurturing. If they were a real human little girl spirit the only humane thing to do would be to ask it to go to the light or for god to take them home immediately. I heard about 15 seconds of the recording at the end and I chose to not keep listening. I know there's a wide range of beliefs across this channel's audience but I personally believe that very real energy can be transferred through frequency and sound, some of it good, some not so much. I can look at a seemingly cursed image and shake it off eventually but stuff like this can definitely make an impact. If your body reacts to something in a way that makes you feel like you need to exercise caution, you should listen to your body and proceed accordingly. This might be a huge stretch, but I think whatever presence that was on the other end of that recording knew the nature of its energy and the effect it can have so it chose to share it... again, just my beliefs but, whew... I try to be as skeptical as i can about this stuff nowadays because a lot of things can be explained but some things definitely keep me wondering and searching. I closed my eyes in broad daylight at work surrounded by people to listen to the recording. I was half listening to the entire video so I was not overly absorbed into the story. All this to say that the moment that screaming came on, my proverbial hackles raised, my spine tingled, I felt an oppressive mass looming behind me and my eyes SHOT open. I am no where near this house, the sun is shining and bright and the world goes on around me unaffected. But seeing what I have seen and experienced in my lifetime I know this to be real. And I know better than to visit that house. This was the perfect spine chilling ending. I am terrified.

That is very possible. It's believed that there are benevolent ghosts and malevolent ghosts. There's also been instances of ghosts and spirits warning others of demons in the vicinity.

Regarding the EVP in this video - from what I’ve read, the Panasonic RR-DR60 (which was used to record the EVP) is popular for EVOs because it’s a voice activated recorder that can only record when it hears something. However, due to internal noise it throws a lot of false positives, which is great for ghost hunters wanting “evidence.”
The other quality is very poor compression which makes everything sound like a hiss or something being rubbed over then microphone which may be what we’re hearing in this EVP.
While it does sound like someone breathing or trying to speak at first, it’s hard to glean anything else due to the poor quality of the mid-1990s technology. Hopefully people will begin to opt for more modern and clear voice-activated recorders.
Yeah I believe they went over this in the podcast I mentioned and did some tests with the recorder itself. From memory, I think they also spoke about the possibility of it picking up radio signals as a possible explanation too. I think they did get recordings of noise and interference but never to such an extreme level as they did in that room, but it’s been so long since I listened to it at this point.
I have no idea about anything. However, what it sounded like to me was a few giant gushes of wind hitting a mic. Or..you know that sound the wind makes when you’re driving fast with all but one window slightly or completely open? Kinda like that but distorted. Not saying it’s fake or anything. But to me, that is what it sounded like.

for any of you who happen to read this, I hope I can hear your thoughts.
I have an aunt who owns a haunted attraction named the McInteer Villa in Atchison, KS just a few blocks down from the Sallie House. Although her mansion gains quite the attention, of course it hasn’t reached the level of fame as the Sallie House - but I do hope it grows! Her passion for the paranormal as well as keeping the house as authentic as possible is worth noting, and the house is always worth exploring.
I have been to the villa quite a few times, and she always has footage available of what goes on in there. She specifically has an audio recorder that she likes to talk to and leave alone for things to talk back.
That EVP at the end, as uncomfortable it sounds, wasn’t a shock to me at all. It is EXACTLY what happens whenever we leave the EVP in specific places. It always sounds like something screaming at the top of its lungs, aggressive, mean. It’s always in response to her voice. It’s in the basement. In the kitchen. You put that audio recorder anywhere and if she asks it a question, that’s the only response you’ll get.
On the flip side, that is not the only entity in the house. That is just one of them. Other “spirits” will have their voice heard. They’ll interact with certain technology, and not everything there is unfriendly (?) or seemingly evil.
But that sound? The screaming?
It is known that whatever is in the Sallie House is demonic. This makes me wonder if there is a demonic entity in the Villa as well.

I'm subscribed to Astonishing Legends and I remember when they posted the episode the last audio clip was in. I was working third shift at the time and had earbuds in, I was all alone and that sound just started playing. Normally it doesn't bother me but something about that sound set off every alarm in my head and I started to freak out.

I used to watch Sightings as a kid and this eerily took me back. I remember watching episodes about the Sallie house. I was totally creeped out but at the same time captivated by those episodes
You cant die from too much anesthesia while also being concious screaming from the operation. Either you overdose, lose conciousnes, and stop breathing OR you get too little anesthesia and are awake for you surgery. So yea, the story at first about a girl screaming as the doctor cut into her dying while concious screaming, but also dying from an anesthesia overdose IS incorrect and a rumor. One or the other happened. She got too much anesthesia and died from that or she didnt get enough and died of the shock of being operated on while fully concious and already in a very weakened state of health. I feel bad for that doctor being blamed for the death of a small child by people who didnt have even the most basic understanding of how anesthesia works...saying he gave her too much. If she was still concious, alert enough to scream? Oh then she didnt get even half enough anesthesia to operate without putting her little body into shock. But had she been stronger you can do an operate without any anesthesia...during the civil war the confederacy ran out of anesthesia and they just gave them a piece of leather strap to bite down on while they amputated a leg or arm. 😬
Nothing was narrated about an overdose. It was stated “he administered the wrong amount of anesthetic.” I interpreted this as too little anesthesia.

Once again, too little anesthesia would not kill her, but if he was batshit insane enough to start operating on an extremely sick child with too little anesthesia she could have possibly died of shock, but NOT too little anesthesia. However i had my doubts a doctor would act so crazy, operating on a concious child (if the child is still awake and screaming they clearly have not recieved enough anesthesia) and as I suspected, and learned after I wrote this comment, that the scenario likely never happened at all. "Sally" turned out to be a demonic entity, and according to the video, no known tragedy like the rumor described happened at the house.

I cant be the only person who thinks that EVP sounded like a very viceral scream, specifically a girl or a woman screaming as if theyre getting abused or tortured. It sent chills down my spine because ive never heard such a specific and vivid thing from the EVP's before.

I remember this story being featured on 📺 in the early '90's. The weird thing about the scratch marks is that they would appear on Tony's body ONLY when the 🎥 focusing on them BLURRED. 🤔
It is possible that he had dermagraphia and scratched himself beforehand, the scratches can appear as welts up to half an hour after being scratched. But that doesn't explain spontaneous bleeding.
If my Fur Baby was standing at my child's nursery door barking and refusing to go in the nursery, that would be my clue to grab my child, and Fur Baby, and get the heck out of there ASAP. I've lived in numerous haunted places, and I always study how my animals act, because they see and hear what we can't, especially cats, but canines are great at detecting too. Animals know way before we do about things, and people need to learn to listen to them. Animals can even tell us about people too.
Mine would be hiding behind me and nudging me towards the room I suspect.
@TheTapeLibrary Because they view you as the Alpha, but usually, animals will try and stop their owners from going into anywhere that is haunted, especially if there's a negative entity there, or more then one. I was at the table on the computer, and my Fur Baby at the time stated barking, and running down the hall, and then she'd ran back to me, and she'd sit where I couldn't get up from my chair, and then she'd bark, and run down the hall again. I managed to get up, and I grabbed my ex's .357, and took the safety off, because I thought that maybe it could've been this young man that my ex had made mad, and he had made some unwanted advances towards me, so I stood with my weapon drawn, and I called out his name, and my Fur Baby, Tandie Bear, wouldn't let me move, but she took down the hall barking and growling, and ran back to me. I got her leash, and put it on her, and I took my weapon, and we went to where my ex was playing poker. Another time I was laying in bed, and Tandie Bear jumped up, and was running around on top of my bed, barking and growling, and I grabbed my Bible, and I started reading Psalms 23, and Psalms 91. Tandie Bear would calm down, but when I stopped, she would jump up again, and start growling and barking. This went on for about 30 minutes, and I kept reading the same Psalms until she stopped.

We had a cat in our first apartment. There was a door to a storagevroom where the furnace was. It was a duplex, it used to be a cheeze factory years before. Anyway just before we moved out they were replacing the coal burner to a more efficient gass furnace. The workers tried to getbour cat to come out there. He would only come to the door. They woukd oick him up and he would letnthem pet him and purred but if they crossed the door frame he would fight to get inside the apartment, stand and watch them at the door. They told us they thought that strange seeing how there would be mice. A few days later I was sleeping in our room, my husband got home frome work ar 2 in the morning, having been woke up it took me a bit to fall asleep. My husbad was sleeping, the cat on the bed with us he backed to the headboard fur all raised as a little girl with blond hair, blue eyes and a white sailor dress with the little matching hat walked into the room asking where her mommy was as plain as day. I was so scared, I said I dont know where your mommy is but I am not her! Always wondered what that was about. I had heard the story for years of my mothers step sister being swept away after the creek rose after a heavy rain. She always blamed herself as her stepmom loaded her with so many responsibilities. When Mom died we visited her other step sister who had on her end table a picture of the little blond girl in that very sailor dress, a picture of her little sister Irene who drowned in the 1920s in the creek by the house they lived in. I have been told that you shouldnt hold onto the dead in greif or guilt it traps them her and they csnt move on.

Yeah, I fall asleep listening to this stuff very few things bother me the recording on here did one time and the Anneliese Michel possession recording bothered me it made me feel very uncomfortable laying Alone in my house.

I'm the same with evps, they never really strike me as anything to write home about, and quite often they remind me of those "What do you hear?" videos where you're presented with a list of phrases and some ambiguous audio. But mother of God... that last audio clip was one of the most chilling things I've ever heard, real or not.
Awesome coverage on this one. I remember that episode of sightings as a kid. That show terrified me. This episode in particular was a scary one because at the time, my mom and I lived with her then bf who’s house had something, and when I say something in it, I mean it was legit a something lol. The end of this video was creepy as shit. Whatever that was, sounded like it was trying to talk at some point.
Yeah I shouldn’t have heard that. I have heard and seen many things in my life ant that recoding ranks up there in my “radar” it felt bad. Bad is an understatement of how my body reacted to it.

I have been on an investigation there. The house is dark, but it is also really old and moldy smelling. There is a couple videos you should watch that was caught by a group of investigators led by a college professor and his students.

I find it crazy that I lived in Atchison for about a year and probably been by the Sally House property several times without even realizing, creepy stuff.
Dr Finney NEVER practiced medicine in the house at 508. He actually lived next door in a red brick house. He lived in the house as a young man. But when he came back he buitlt the house next door. He was the Mayor of Atchison. Well respected and the story of Sallie is a fabrication. All I will say is, Sallie is very much a similiar happening to the Amityville Horror house. Great for making money and selling books.
Might not be a haunting at all, but evil entities brought there by the likes of ghost hunters, spirit boards, ect.

I remember Buzzfeed and Ghost Adventures made videos on their visit to the Sallie House! Risky to go there, but poor Tony suffered and poor kitty! Tony later had to come back to find out about how the woman who moved in might have trashed the home and discovered the horror of the basement upon the return. Someone must’ve done something in the basement before Tony and his family moved in by hexing it and performing a dark ritual.
Well that was horrific!! The recording at the end. I kept listening for words or sounds in what I thought was a stream of static like wind blowing across the microphone.
And then all at once I could hear it was not static. It was a voice, a growl, or barking like a wild dog. Quickly fast forward to end of video.

I lived in a haunted town house in Perth Western Australia for a few years .I still get nightmares about the goings on in the place 30 years later.i don't think the experiences will ever leave me .there are such things as ghosts spirits and demons I learnt the truth of that the hard way .

It could just be a mess up in the telling and the "Landlord" could have been a previous Land Lord before they bought it and he'd have information, or maybe the house exists on a large piece of land with other houses and the land is owned by someone else

I listened to the EVP and felt a really weird sensation on the back of my head. After that it moved to the front of my head and I got an extreme headache for the rest of that day.
That late afternoon a door closed on it's own with a loud bang. I was home alone...I hate this.
Update: My headache is gone, but I have been hearing a deep voice in my head. I've also seen a white and skinny being in my head and I feel more down than usual, more disoriented. My dreams are normal. Not too out of the odinary, though I'm still worried and scared. I sometimes don't recognise myself in the mirror. This all happened after I listened to the EVP. I'm gonna sage and clense my house and myself. Energies/spirits are not things to be played with. Pls be careful

That recording legitimately terrified me. That sounded like a primal scream of terror. Whatever resides in that house is scared and is in pain.
I don't usually leave comments on videos like this. I usually play these videos in the background while im playing games that require alot of concentration, but even hearing your warnings of the final EPV at the end of the video I still decided to listen even while being preoccupied with a game I was playing. As soon as the sound started I froze in my seat and my focus was completely taken off of what I was doing. Almost like I was petrified and frozen in fear, but for some reason I couldn't stop listening. It cause my heart to race and I instantly felt a pit of nausea in my stomach as the recording went on and on. The demonic screeching fueling the Naseau I was feeling and the paranoia slowly starting to settle in. I don't spook easy. But this EPV recording is forever etched into my mind
If you have the time, do strongly recommend the podcast series it was taken from. Might set your mind at ease, or make it worse...

I found this video interesting. The media attention given to the case is partly responsible for the escalation of events. I’m sure Mr. James was honestly reporting what he believed about “Sallie.” No psychic has 100% accuracy stats and further, if there was a demonic entity there, it would probably use the illusion of a child to garner sympathy and permission to stay. There are no records of any child dying in the home. The only targeted person was the father, Tom. The recording at the end was very garbled. At one point it sounded as if someone screamed in anger. I could hear no discernible words at all. Indiscriminate noises are not really EVPs if no actual vocalization occurs. Perhaps the house should be destroyed to prevent further people from ritualistic acts inside.
I heard the whole "hes mine" and a chill went up my spine. I was laying in bed cuddled up to my boyfriend (i had my head on his back fast asleep) i suddenly lifted my head out of sleep (i swear i heard the door open slightly), looked dead at the door, and said "hes mine" and i heard the door creak closed (we keep it slightly open cuz our cat likes sleeping with us but sometimes she uses the litter box in the other room) he lifted his head up and told me he was about to go into sleep paralysis and hearing me jolted him out of it and he was able to move again. He told me i saved him from going into it. Ever since then, he hasnt gone into sleep paralysis, but i have. Quite a few times. And it was dreams ive had or felt ive had in the past. And it was creepy. Cuz ive never dealt with that but he had it constantly growing up. Its almost like i claimed my boyfriend so i took over his sleep paralysis.
Woa- that was actually intense. Had to sit back and think if I would end up getting cursed from hearing that but ended up listening to it anyways... and damn the shivers this gave-

I listened for maybe 3 seconds of that EVP and I immediately felt weird in my head, no lie, like my room was spinning!! I've watched it all, have heard it all, and NEVER in my 44 years has anything made me feel like that EVP did....gave me an instant headache! I could not even finish it!

You warned about the audio at the end and I have heard screaming before in EVP... but that indeed was terrifying. So much so that I could not listen to the entire thing. I do not allow the paranormal to affect me in a negative way and am able to brush it off, but I can see how people find that traumatizing.
I have had my own experiences with the occult...things I wont share with anyone, and that audio reminded me of something very specific that happened to me.

We as viewers are already expecting extreme descriptions of human behaviour/injuries/deaths when we click on these channels. But animals are a different case for many of us. We aren't clicking on animal abuse videos. We're clicking on _human_ afflictions.

Spirits, ghost whatever you want to call them do exist. The area I grew up in is crazy haunted. Doors would unlock, open, we could hear someone step into or out of the home, the door would shut and then relock all on its on. We lived in a mobile home which had 3 doors, one off the kitchen leading to the backyard, two on the front; one in the living room and one in the hallway. One day my Mom, oldest sister and I were in the trailer cleaning. Mom and I were in the kitchen and my oldest sister was headed to my Mom's room, (off of the living room), to put up some laundry, when all the sudden all 3 doors swing open at the same time, then slammed shut.She was nearly hit by the living room door!! All 3 doors were locked because Mom just mopped and she didn't want anyone coming in and tracking up her wet floors. No one would be in the trailer and it would sound like a party was happening inside but would stop if anyone looked in any window. One day my Grandmother was taking a shower and heard who she thought was my Granddaddy, asked him to bring her a bar of soap. (for whatever reason Mom kept the soap in the kitchen cabinet instead of in the bathroom). She heard the footsteps going down the hallway into the kitchen, heard them coming back down the hallway and open the bathroom door. She pulled back the shower curtain to get the soap from Granddaddy only to see the bar of soap floating in the air! My Granddaddy installed a tub/shower combo in their house starting that next day. These aren't the only things which happened and it wasn't just our home either. Everybody from that hollow has their own stories. Some stories would make the tiny hairs on the back of your head stand on end. None of our spirits, except one, were bad.
I'll give you one more. Their were woods behind our home. There was a doubletree about 10 feet into the woods to the left of our home. One night I was walking back to our home from my sisters, (20 yrs old at the time), home, (on same property), when I looked up towards the woods. All the woods was gone and I could clearly see the doubletree and a man standing there dressed in a brown suit but didn't have on any shoes. He was looking at me. This scared me so bad that I became hysterical. I ran into the trailer and my Mom ran to me trying to calm me. She had to slap me in order to shock me, which allowed me to be able to speak. Don't know why slapping works but it does. I told her what I saw and she told me it was alright, hugged me, finished settling me down and put me to bed. She must have told my Grandmother because the next day Mamaw sat me down, showed me some pictures of people in coffins and asked me if any of them was who I saw. I pointed out the man and asked why he was in a coffin and who he was. That's when my Mamaw told me it was my oldest sister's father who drowned when she was 2 years old.

It’s a nasty little parasite you can get from ticks, mosquitos or even a cat scratch. It’s frequently co-morbid with Lyme disease which can cause neurological symptoms in some cases.
