GUTTING AND REMODELING 1989 Ford E350 RV - Covid Project
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 29 сен 2024
- This 1989 Ford E350 was purchased from a neighbor with about 50,000 miles on it and a few areas showing the age. Spent about 3-4 months on and off remodeling this RV after work and on weekends.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments if you have any suggestions or tips for things I could have done better! Cheers

great job but boy, was it in rough shape when you bought it and paid too much. I bought a 22 foot 89 Ford RV here in Canada for $3,500 and no repairs needed except to do some resealing.
Not wrong about that! Unfortunately that’s a premium you can’t avoid paying along with everything else overpriced in CA. Par for the course as they say ⛳️
15,000.00 man u got those people. i have a 1983 only paid 1000 for it and it is bigger
Yeah I wouldn’t say got them as it was still a young RV in great shape mechanically, no question. However I was firm on price as covid brought lots of interest so I would be lying if I didn’t use that to my advantage!
What kind is yours?
It's almost impossible to find any info on these model's i been searching and searching for anything videos pictures but this is the only bit of info I've found. I have a 90 honey just like yours but the bathroom is in the back with full shower sink and toilet not a wet bath but full bathroom. It was just given to me from family. Wanna buy it? I'm in nor cal about an hour from Sacramento
Thanks for the offer but I’ll pass for now! Working on another
Remodeled the interior but couldn’t handle the calking? 😐
😂
How many ft is the motorhome? Looking for a short version to take my mom with stage 6 dementia.
Thanks...I just won $10 from a friend who disagreed with me that it would be all white inside. Everyone who trashes our old campers always chunks on the cheap white paint all over the inside and presents it as "clean and bright". Laziness and cheapness. Yeah...real work of art. 🙄
Lol glad I could help! What color would you have painted it?
I just purchased a 1988 Ford Econoline 350 motorhome and this is giving me optimism about it! I have big plans to flip the inside though it may take some time due to the condition (sat in a field for a while). Also buying it sight unseen! Thanks for the information!
Best of luck!
Your volume level was so low I could barely hear you. At points I couldn't.
Thank you for the feedback! I was already thinking of re-recording the audio and this confirmed it. Will update that soon, all the best 🙂
@@NorCalNiche Awesome! I look forward to rewatching it. I wish you all the best in your new venture in 🙂🙂🙂
@@NorCalNiche I just subscribed so I won't miss and episode.
New van coming soon 👀
Your video is awesome you have no music playing in the background you did a very great job on your motorhome I have a 1986 and I'm trying to fix up
Thank you and glad you enjoyed!
OMG. You did such a wonderful, through, and meticulous job! I love to see someone take pride in their work!
Thank you! Glad you liked it 😃
What kind of motor did it have?
Let me look it up
Engine: Econoline E350 4.6 L 460
The 460 is a 7.5L not a 4.6L.
Good morning, my name is Juan do you have that motor home on sale? I like
I sold it! Sorry to say. Enjoyed it and working on a new project I’ll post here as soon as I can.
I like it when the postie brings goodies.
Great job, I have fixed up many RVs and like watching others do the same.
My dad gave me his 1997. 20000 miles. Everything is perfect. I'll change out door hardware and put down flooring, then solar, DC to DC charger with inverter/ charger but that's it.
I'm doing the same thing same year and make. Mine has bias-ply tires on it and want to switch to radial. Would you mind telling me what size tires yours has. And the weight rating please
Hmm this is sold now so I’m sorry I don’t have the tire info but weight is roughly 6-8000 lbs
omgooodness bless you on this great video ..awesome work..i purchased a 1988 honey with only 16,500 miles she looks pretty good on the outside like yours and similar to the same issues as yours just no onboard generator ..my ex was suppose to help me remodel now im trying to figure things on my own not going to well..im still fortunate i have it although living in it as is is really a challenge any tips on remodeling on a budget TIA
Lots of tips. Tell me about your RV and what parts need repair?
I have the same car. Appearance and interior. Mine is still used as it is. Everything is fine.
They’re great engines and vehicles. Felt like that engine could run forever when you started it up!
The anti theft device on the steering wheel in its original condition was laughable!
Old skool cool I guess haha
When you ready for overhead window, make a frame end to end for window support. That overhead window gets a lot of pressure. Am doing the same thing as you . Lots of luck!
Great idea. Will try that next time, thank you!
I have one just like it. It needs to be remodeled and I have no remodeling skills. The white paint really brings it to life. Love the flooring! Great job!
Thank you much! Sorry for the late reply
Sold for 15K, sight unseen...WOW !!
I was just as surprised haha
I have a 85 ford like it any tips on making it a flat bed
As in cutting off the top? Definitely need some strong machines to pull it apart
2:53 did you keep the green marble
Didn’t keep it no 😳
Awesome stuff man, I'm working on an 84 rn! Full rebuild I've got the progress on my channel if you'd like to check it out!
Sounds cool already. Drop a link to your video? Cheers!
@NorCalNiche it's a series, heres the most recent video! ruclips.net/video/OTqe-skjrMg/видео.html
Hope you enjoy⚡
Keep running the great work
Will do 😄
@@NorCalNiche thanks alot
Good job what did you seal the windows with
Generic RV window caulk
Did you get rid of the fridge?
I did end up getting rid of the dual gas / electric fridge. I was torn about it after but easily could have left it. The gas supply line was in an odd spot to leave it though.
Amazing! I just wish it was longer
More to come :)
@@NorCalNiche thanks a lot.
..exactly what my Girlfriend said,..💄👄
You did a good job
Thanks Borris! Definitely things I could have done but I’m happy with how this first build turned out. Cheers
looks good
Appreciate it!
