Your rock climbing skills are INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes, honestly, the way you climbed that rock I was like "no way is Katie Mayo going to climb this rock?!"!!!! AND YOU DID. Keep climbing rock Katie Mayo, you're a true legend in my eyes.

One of my favorite van builds. I know there are literally dozens of insane $100,000 + builds --- Yours is fantastic. Great layout. Meets your needs. Financially economic. Excellent job!
Pretty organized actually. Like the simplicity of the water system. very clean and functional. You did a good job on the carpentry. The nice look of unfinished pine wood :) Some very good ideas to pass on, so simply and efficient. I'm impressed. My guess is you might be looking at ''roof mounted'' solar panel in the future, for the Fridge at least. I use a 10 buss, 100 watt panel with a 20 amp MPPT controller. (I installed for a couple hundred or so $) More then enough power for what my setup needs. I can ''set for'' a week in one spot and never start the engine to charge up the batteries and the food in the 52 quart fridge always stays cool at about 40 degrees fahrenheit all the time. Fridge draws about 45 watts when running. I have two inverters but I only use them for charging power tool batteries etc. Also I installed a diesel air heater, and everything in the whole vehicle, including the engine, runs off of two deep cycle 'group 31' lead acid RV marine batteries.130 RC amp hrs. ORreilly's auto parts for bout $95.00 each. 3 years and so far no issues. Oh and the Riches MPPT charge controler has settings to charge any type of battery using the solar panels. Works in conjuction with vehicle alternator. Great idea on all the door tables. Barn doors are the coolest. Love what you've done so far. Great job. You make it seem easy ... LoL
Looks good and it works good for you. For a guy that had no experience woodworking you didn’t do a bad job. I am getting ready to build. My second van and woodworking is my profession. I purchased a 1995E 150 conversion van. Hundred percent rust free never been drove in the winter. Which is incredible for a Michigan vehicle. Thanks for the video.
You are incredibly talented and I don’t think you gave yourself enough credit. I have the same van I will pay you 5k and pay all for materials if you want to build mine.
Your video was awesome. Too the dude who thought 10,000 was too much for a 2013 with low mileage. It just depends on that particular individual and what they want out of life. Just live and let live
Uk viewer, you've made a very good job of your first build, be proud of the result, lots of practical shelf space on the outside to adapt once you fit slide awning mounts for some outside cover. Shade or rain protection. We dont have these type of side doors in the uk , they make for a better opening. Solar panel and a deck on your roof next?... looking forward to some travel vids and pictures from you. You obviously like photography, add some good locks and think about yourself if you travel on your own. Stay safe. GP.
I love seeing people overcoming difficult obstacles. You gained a new follower here. Im actually an above the knee amputee in the process of building my own van out right now. Since im a disabled veteran. It gives me the financial freedom to do the van life experience. Follow my journey if you want. Its gonna be fun
I’ve been looking into this and love the idea, a stealth an life is a dream of mine, feeling of true freedom but with the spike in costs lately the cheapest I can find are 10k which is a lot when rents already so high it’s hard to save cash, I’m going to have to pick up a second job for a few years to save up enough to afford starting something like this. Your woodwork is very clean.
How are you, and how's the 'Van' holding up? I guess the van is technically a car, lol. But, your design of the mounting of the table on the side barn door is perfect! @@Armwrestling_Wizard
I have minimal building experience, but this is great. I wanted to buy a class b RV, but I was ignorant of the prices, so doing something like this qould be great.
11:00 I might suggest using velcro on those curtains. You'll have to sew it onto the curtains though. Or buy a riviting button set from Harbor Freight! Thanks for the video too! I'm in the planning stages for my first camper van and this build is offering a bit of relief as I felt I needed to do a "instagram worthy" camper and over the top but all I need is something basic like your for a few nights a week so I dont have to make the 120 round trip commute in Los Angeles traffic
Im in LA and i have to drive from Claremont to north hollywood to my office and i hate the traffic. I sleep in my van. I drive to NOHO sunday nights and work at my office mondays, tuesdays and then wedensdays before traffic i drive home, perfect! Did you end up doing it?
Just came across your channel. Hope you get to see some other cool sites in that area. My favorites are Canyon de Chelly, Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, Chaco Canyon etc. Very Kool places. Good luck mate
Dean! Thank you so much for this video! Just bought a 2012 ford e250. Will be using some of the products you linked. Love your build. Also 10k is a good price considering its load capacity and mileage, fords will run much longer than the average vehicle with proper upkeep. Thanks again for the video and best of luck to you.
nice build. im working on mine and i want the upper cabinets but havent seen a design i like, i like yours. i watch a lot of videos and get ideas about the final build. my next decision is do i need the large side windows, im leaning towards closing them off in favor of more functionality from other stuff.
Brilliant!!! My number 1 love is the big space you left in the center of the van. Who does that? And yr custom drawers and tables. Just brilliant throughout. Enjoy life and stay safe. From Texas.
you could add a roof rail and solar underneath to charge the battery of ur van which staying in a place which helps in running ur electric without having to think about battery drainage and could have some earth friendly bags with smell proof with u and a samll shovel for ur toilet so u can dig a hole and put that bag to the earth and some waste bag on the back for wastage disposal. keeping the environment clean.
Awesome and inspiring video! I bought a 2010 E350 high top shuttle bus recently and working on conversion now. I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the extra money to get a 1000W*Hr vs 500W*Hr battery. I’ll likely be working remote in the van sometimes so I’ll need to be on my laptop all day. Will likely use the van for snowboarding in the winter too, I’m debating on what the best way to heat the van is. Any suggestions?
17:16 - I'm not a geologist, but I think it's erosion. The wind and elements have eroded away all the other rock types (over the course of 100's of thousands of years, obviously), that are much softer, but only the hard stuff remains. So the structure is probably made of a much denser material than all the other materials surrounding it.
just want to ask you about the engine. I really like Ford Van how they looks like, but engine issues as the spark plug are blowing in those Van, I wonder how that one have been going. Nobody talks about .
So, is that van a four-wheel-drive? Is it as good as a four-wheel-drive with the tires that you put on it? I’m trying to figure that out for myself! What year is it? I hope you see this and can answer my questions 😊👍🙏
I really appreciate the commentary about how no one knows how to do anything before they start. That resonates!

Sounds amazing! Good luck with the build!!
The pull-out stool is also very smart, for a guy who thinks he's driving a car.

That’s an amazing idea! Did you end up building yourself? I saw this comment was posted a year ago!
Look at that ancient tree stumb in the background amazing
❤Your video is great! So proud of u sharing and being honest!!! It is helping me to make decisions on our van build. Thanks
Your video was awesome. Too the dude who thought 10,000 was too much for a 2013 with low mileage. It just depends on that particular individual and what they want out of life. Just live and let live
The stool was a very clever idea, excellent job on the carpentry!😊
This is great! I respect your vision and determination to complete a project. 💯

i thought about using your exact electrical setup before. Nicely done.

I don't ever remember seeing someone using a "stool with 4 caster wheels" in a van ? Seems like a MUST with a low ceiling ...

you got this!
I just got one for 3200 the other day DONT GIVE UP
THATS A ROCK IN VAN.
So inspiring!!! You’re so right. No one can do anything at first
The front side barn door drop-down table for the passenger seat is genius! For a guy who thinks he's driving a car?

Seriously nice job. You should be proud.
for that seam to possibly make it look aesthetically better maybe run a line of black caulk

Thanks a bunch!
Very nice. Thank you for sharing. Many safe travels to you.
I don't want to spend $10k,but if I can get one for $5k or less would be great. You did an excellent job.
Cool, I'm doing this.

Hey what size mattress did you buy? Beautiful work!
Any regrets going with an e350 over an e250?
Love your build! Do you mind sharing what your bed size is? Looks like a twin size, but getting inspo for a build with my fiancé!
its a full:)
Cool!
Where did you get those pants? They look really cool
How do you do the ceiling installation inside the van ?
How many amps does the fan pull? And what size is the mattress?
The mountain/rock is an old tree avatar type shit
one Dean to an other!
do you have a link for the foam mattress?
Do you find you get less gas mileage while driving when you plug in fridge?
