That's one of the best van (truck) conversions I've seen from a DIYer. Raising the roof to create full standing headroom with the bed raised is brilliant. Personally I'd prefer a shower/toilet pod but I appreciate that's a subjective thing. Bravo.
Thank you! I totally agree; Andreas did such an incredible job with his van! The attention to detail, especially those back doors and the walls, is truly inspiring. Everything about it reflects both beauty and functionality! 😊
I plan to build something similar, but much cheaper, smaller and simpler, since I am a solo traveller, and I would never get that kind of end result, but now I have a goal, haha. I am curious about the foam insulation, how good it is in cold climates, and how good it is from a rust perspective.
Absolutely, the level of craftsmanship and thought put into this build is incredible! 🎉 7 months might sound long, but for a project this detailed, it's time well spent. And 37k for something this well-executed? Totally worth it! 👏 Thank you for watching and celebrating this masterpiece with us! 🚐✨
Thank you so much! 🙏 Andreas truly is amazing, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the tour. 😊 I aim to keep things authentic and relaxed, so it means a lot to hear that it came through. Thanks for watching and for your kind words! 🌟🚐
It really is an incredibly creative solution! 🎨 Andreas has truly managed to build his van to perfectly suit his lifestyle and needs. It’s so inspiring to see how personal and well-thought-out it is! 🚐✨ Thank you for watching and appreciating his build! 😊
I think it's a very useful comment he made on thinking about one's lifestyle when planning the van. It's a great job, well done. His type of job did make things quite a bit easier, I would think. It took me several months to build my much simpler van, because I could only work weekends. However this doesn't belittle the fact that he did a pristine job based on a thoughtful planning. Congratulations!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! 😊 I completely agree-Andreas' approach to planning his van around his lifestyle is such an important takeaway for anyone considering a build. And yes, having the time and resources to work on it definitely helped him create something so detailed and beautiful. But, as you said, it’s all about thoughtful planning and making the most of what you have. Congratulations to you as well for completing your van-it’s no small feat, especially working only on weekends. Wishing you many amazing adventures on the road! 🚐✨
Absolutely agree! That deck is a game-changer-such a brilliant addition to an already amazing van. Andreas did an incredible job with the whole build! 🚐👏
I must say this is an exceptional van build. Well thought out and designed to his life!! A+ on the glass doors and the deck. Would love to see the van build videos.

That’s so exciting to hear! 😊 Andreas’ setup is such an inspiration, especially with the bed, patio doors, and tail lift-it’s such a creative use of space. I can’t wait to see how your Vario build comes together next year! How can you have any security with huge glass doors? Maybe it's high quality polycarbonate that doesn't break easily? But wouldn't that scratch extremely easily? Having all that music equipment in that flip up enclosure was rather brilliant. When closed that's a huge work surface. Haven't seen that done much in van life. Great idea. Because when mobile living things always need fixing! That's perfect. And high enough so it's comfortable when you're standing up. The finishes are fabulous. It's like a design studio. Very nice build. Well done! Raising the roof and dealing with the rust! Wow. Couple of questions. You put all the water and batteries under the van. Does this mean you never go to freezing conditions? 350AH of lithium is slightly small for such a build. I'm sure you can add more capacity if needed as the batteries are underneath. You do have propane but still. As far as solar, walkable solar deck panels would double your solar capacity and still give you the roof deck. Your insulation. Is that open cell spray foam? Thanks again for posting this.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! 😊 You’re absolutely right-raising the roof and tackling rust were major undertakings, and Andreas really nailed it. To answer your questions: The water and batteries under the van are better suited for milder climates, so freezing conditions could be a challenge. The 350Ah lithium setup is indeed on the smaller side for a build like this, but there’s room to expand if needed. Walkable solar panels are such a great idea for maximizing solar capacity while keeping the deck functional-love that suggestion! As for the insulation, I’ll have to check with Andreas, but I believe it’s closed-cell spray foam for better durability. Thanks for watching and sharing your insights! 😊
That proofs how much more you can get, and of so much better quality, than buying a fabric made van. But most of all it’s designed for yourself and your toys.
WoW!! This is the best one I have seen and everything that I had in mind for a van is HERE!! Thanks for this video & thanks to your neighbour who made this happen. I see that you have done some sound proofing installation while making the van. When you work on the music, are you working with headphones or you have studio monitors?
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 Andreas has truly created a masterpiece with his van, and I’m so glad it aligns with your dream setup! Regarding your question, Andreas actually uses studio monitors when working on music in the van. He’s paid great attention to the soundproofing to create the best possible acoustics in such a small space. It's incredible how thoughtful and functional his design is!
Amazing build I’ve lived in a van for over 3 years Couldn’t live without separate toilet and shower and fixed bed In a VARIO you have so much room couldn’t think of not having those
Thank you! 😊 Living in a van for over 3 years-what an adventure! 🚐 I totally get your perspective on needing a separate toilet, shower, and fixed bed-those are definitely game-changers for long-term vanlife. Andreas made some unique choices with his layout to match his lifestyle, but a Vario definitely offers the space to customize for different needs. It’s always inspiring to hear how others make vanlife work for them!
@@ThereseEriksson Hi Therese I had a few years of planning before deciding what van to buy ! It had to have a fixed bed and separate shower and toilet room with a seat that I could chill out on to watch tv or read and they all had to be in place all the time so I didn’t have to arrange everything when I’ve done a physical days work or been out for the day ! A good track record with reliability and easy to work on , nice to drive It was a no brainier for me it had to be the Mercedes sprinter but wish I had bought the 513 instead of the 313 Anyway Andys van is fantastic he’s done a brilliant job
That sounds like a fantastic plan! Starting with an SUV van is a great way to dip your toes into the vanlife adventure. 🚐✨ Who knows, someday you might be cruising in a custom-built van like this one! 😊 Keep dreaming and planning-it’s all part of the journey!
That's a great question! 🚐 Andreas mentioned focusing on keeping the build practical and efficient, so while there’s definitely some added weight from the soundproofing and custom features, he worked hard to balance functionality and load. It's all about smart planning! Thanks for pointing that out! 😊
Great question! 😊 Andreas mentioned that dealing with rust was definitely a crucial part of the process. I’ll check with him about the details on how he treated it and see if I can include that in future updates or videos. It’s such an important step in van building, especially for longevity. Thanks for watching and for your interest!
Love that you called it an Amazon car! 😊 It really does have that standout vibe, doesn’t it? So glad you enjoyed the tour-definitely a favorite for many! 🚐✨
Great question! 😊 I’m not sure about the specific frame and motor details, but Andreas is super passionate about his paramotor setup. You might be able to ask him directly on social media-he’d probably love to share more about it!
This was a camper in the upper class +😂 Great video again! I can see my Mitsubishi Pajero Overlander with a roof top tent beside him at the beach😂 At least I will be able to cross the worst and smallest roads in Andalucia and not him😂😂
Thank you so much! 😊 Haha, I love the idea of your Mitsubishi Pajero Overlander parked next to Andreas’ van-it’s like two totally different styles of adventure coming together! 🚐⛺️ And you’re absolutely right, your setup is probably unbeatable for those tricky Andalucian roads. 😄 Glad you enjoyed the video!
Patience definitely plays a big part in creating something as incredible as this! It’s inspiring to see how much love and effort Andreas put into this build. What would your dream project look like? 🥰🚐
Great question! Yes, the roof height and lift have been inspected and meet road safety standards. 🚐✨ Shipping a van to Europe sounds exciting-what kind of build are you working on? I’m sure it’ll be an amazing project!
@@ThereseErikssonMy van is a Mercedes 3500 170XD 4x4. I am having a custom build by a professional builder. Thanks for asking and for telling about the roof lift legality. How does he ride with glass doors in back? Seems dangerous with real glass. Love this video thank you!!!
😍 Visst är det ett galet imponerande bygge? Andreas har verkligen lagt ner både hjärta och själ i att skapa något helt unikt. Så kul att det inspirerar fler!
Thank you for your feedback! 😊 The craftsmanship is definitely incredible, but I totally get that the bathroom setup isn’t for everyone. It’s always a balance between space and functionality in van builds. What would your ideal bathroom solution look like in a van like this? 🚐✨
Thank you so much! Andreas really did an incredible job with the build-it’s such a unique and stunning van. And yes, he’s such a kind and inspiring person to meet too! 🥰
@@franwatkins5934 I did show where he do the shower and where he have his food. I didn’t show specific his stove though that’s correct. It was more important things to cover. But if you look in the video it’s there on his bench
Absolutely agree-7 months and 37,000 euros for a van like this is incredible, especially with the level of detail and quality he’s put into it! 🙌 And yes, his job might sound a bit unusual-he works as a climber on oil rigs, doing maintenance at extreme heights. Such a fascinating and unique career!
Great point! The future of vanlife and travel is definitely something many of us think about as we move towards a more sustainable world. While diesel and petrol are currently the main options for most vans, we're starting to see innovations in electric and hybrid camper builds too! The industry will likely evolve alongside these changes. What are your thoughts on alternative solutions for vanlife in the future?
Absolutely agree! Andreas really managed to create something incredible for that price. The amount of thought, skill, and labor he put into the build is priceless. If this van were sold commercially, it would easily cost three times as much-or more! He’s truly a master of efficiency and design. 😊🚐
You have to consider all the unpaid hours it took a side of the hardware he paid for...with that said, he is really skilled and versatile with putting this build together! 👍
Right?! It’s incredible what Andreas was able to create for just 37k. 😊 A big reason for the lower cost is that he did all the work himself, putting in countless unpaid hours. If you outsource a build like this, it’s no surprise the price would skyrocket-especially in the USA, where van builds can easily cost over 200k. His dedication and craftsmanship really shine through in this project. So glad you enjoyed the tour!
Great build, but it annoys me a bit he keeps saying the build took 7 months in a way like that is crazy long when that is not a long time at all for all the work he did. The same for the costs, like 37k is super expensive when it's dirt cheap.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I can see your perspective, and you’re absolutely right-7 months for such a detailed and intricate build is actually very efficient, especially for something so custom and well thought-out. I know he worked day and night during these months. And 37k is indeed an incredible bargain for what he’s achieved, especially considering the labor involved. I think Andreas was more reflecting on his own experience-balancing the build with work and life-rather than comparing to others. For anyone considering a project like this, it’s a reminder that time and costs can vary greatly depending on skills, resources, and goals. At the end of the day, his van is a masterpiece that truly shows his dedication and vision! 😊🚐
Great question! A big motorhome can be a good option for some, but building a van like this gives you complete control over the design, functionality, and features to match your specific lifestyle. Plus, there’s something special about creating a space that’s truly your own. 😊 What would you choose?
😂 That’s such a funny perspective! This ‘dinosaur’ definitely proves that older vans can still be transformed into something amazing. Who doesn’t love giving a classic a second life? 🚐✨
Really a shame to have (for me) missed your toilet and your shower, next to the comfort that there is for everything else. Nevertheless, a very nice achievement.
Hello there, May I share the most important news with you ever before in life? God the Father sent his Holy Son Jesus (Y'shua) to earth to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. After that they put Him in a tomb for 3 days, and on the 3rd day Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people. Then Christ ascended back to heaven. We all must believe in Christ and receive Him into our life as Savior to be saved. John 1:12 says: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you put you genuine and true faith in Holy Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today?
Glad you enjoyed most of it! 😊 The shower setup is definitely a personal choice-balancing functionality and saving space can be tricky in a van build. Thanks for sharing your honest feedback! 🚐✨
Hello there, I was wondering, if I can share with you the most important thing ever. God the Father sent His holy Son--Jesus to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. Then He was put into a tomb for 3 days, after that Abba Father raised Jesus to life.He appeared to people, and went back to heaven. We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life to be God's child. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" Will you today genuinely by faith receive Jesus into your life for salvation?
I understand your frustration, and I want to clarify-my goal is never to bait or mislead anyone. What’s “insane” about Andreas’ van is how uniquely tailored it is to his lifestyle, blending creativity and functionality in ways I haven’t seen before. Every feature serves a purpose, and it’s a reflection of his personality and needs. I hope you’ll give the video a chance and see what makes it stand out! 😊
Thank you for sharing your perspective. Everyone has their own values and views, and I think it’s important to respect that. The focus of this video is to highlight the creativity and craftsmanship behind the van build itself, which is truly impressive. I hope you still found some inspiration in the design and details. 😊
Well, most of us are driving a car, so thanks to people like Andrea who risk their lives to supply us with what powers our vehicles until an alternative is available at an affordable cost! and to be added this video was about Andrea's van conversion and not about his occupation!
@@turkeyphantI get your thought. How do you feel about travelling with vans? One uses a lot of fuel that way. Do you have equally strong feelings about that?
@@SocratesWasRight Of course I do. Vans hold a lot of people and the whole point is you can stay in the same place for a long time and use a lot of solar. Vandwellers use way less fossil fuels than people living in homes. Finding ways to reduce the footprint is vital and alternative fuels exist. On the contrary, dedicating your career and earning all your money from the petrochemical companies actively trying to make things worse is unforgiveable.

It's all about smart planning! Thanks for pointing that out! 😊
He is very handsome! 😍
Yes he's! 🥰👏
I would love to know how Andreas rust process was! how to treat it correctly etc etc
Great question! 😊 Andreas mentioned that dealing with rust was definitely a crucial part of the process. I’ll check with him about the details on how he treated it and see if I can include that in future updates or videos. It’s such an important step in van building, especially for longevity. Thanks for watching and for your interest!
It‘s an Amazon car. It‘s my Favorit! 😊
Love that you called it an Amazon car! 😊 It really does have that standout vibe, doesn’t it? So glad you enjoyed the tour-definitely a favorite for many! 🚐✨
How does the paramotor fit in? Which frame and motor?
Wow🤩

i wish i had his patience
Patience definitely plays a big part in creating something as incredible as this! It’s inspiring to see how much love and effort Andreas put into this build. What would your dream project look like? 🥰🚐
Would love to know if the height and lift of roof is inspected as road safe?? Can you ship the van? I am having my van built I will ship to Europe.
@@SherylKatz I'm fairly certain this is tempered and/or laminated glass.

helt sjukt bygge!
😍 Visst är det ett galet imponerande bygge? Andreas har verkligen lagt ner både hjärta och själ i att skapa något helt unikt. Så kul att det inspirerar fler!
So no freezing weather where he goes.
brilliant and perfectly crafted but the bathroom is an no-go 🙈
Thank you for your feedback! 😊 The craftsmanship is definitely incredible, but I totally get that the bathroom setup isn’t for everyone. It’s always a balance between space and functionality in van builds. What would your ideal bathroom solution look like in a van like this? 🚐✨
Wow this van is beautiful it’s one of the best I have seen! Also Andrea is so lovely too xx
Thank you so much! Andreas really did an incredible job with the build-it’s such a unique and stunning van. And yes, he’s such a kind and inspiring person to meet too! 🥰
2 likes from me.... Where are that P spots? Looks pretty good
Oooh thank you 🥰🙏 It's 2 spots I filmed at, in Malaga and Aguilas, Spain

7 months and 37 000 euros in not long or expensive for this van, amazing build. I just didn't understand what's his job, climber on an oil rig??
Absolutely agree-7 months and 37,000 euros for a van like this is incredible, especially with the level of detail and quality he’s put into it! 🙌 And yes, his job might sound a bit unusual-he works as a climber on oil rigs, doing maintenance at extreme heights. Such a fascinating and unique career!

🙂🇸🇪👋👋 Hej hej! Kul att du tittade in - hoppas du gillade videon! 🚐✨
great van question all these vans are dead if they stop fuel diesel and petrol
Great point! The future of vanlife and travel is definitely something many of us think about as we move towards a more sustainable world. While diesel and petrol are currently the main options for most vans, we're starting to see innovations in electric and hybrid camper builds too! The industry will likely evolve alongside these changes. What are your thoughts on alternative solutions for vanlife in the future?
i think desiel far better unles they develop solar rook solutions charge and reduce batery wieght
37k for a van like this is dirt cheap. With the hours of labour included it would probably be three times the price
Absolutely agree! Andreas really managed to create something incredible for that price. The amount of thought, skill, and labor he put into the build is priceless. If this van were sold commercially, it would easily cost three times as much-or more! He’s truly a master of efficiency and design. 😊🚐
37 euro is more than 37k but absolutely a great deal compared to ppl selling them for 100k
ANOTHER VAN BUILD?
Why not? It's pretty unique.
no way 37k wow i thought it would be over 200k. people in the usa are getting rip off big time
You have to consider all the unpaid hours it took a side of the hardware he paid for...with that said, he is really skilled and versatile with putting this build together! 👍
F me! Effort!!! 😮
👏 Totally! 😅
Work two weeks and four weeks off, that comment makes me ashamed of my beloved Norway!
Why not just buy a big motorhome?
Great question! A big motorhome can be a good option for some, but building a van like this gives you complete control over the design, functionality, and features to match your specific lifestyle. Plus, there’s something special about creating a space that’s truly your own. 😊 What would you choose?
Why not? It is comfortable - all he does for work and life is in van
🙂
37 thousand for this feels like nothing
Gen Z thinks that 2002 Van is a dinosaur.
John 1:12
says:
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you put you genuine and true faith in Holy Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today?
Lots of toys. What about clothes?
Almost all is great but shower sucks
Glad you enjoyed most of it! 😊 The shower setup is definitely a personal choice-balancing functionality and saving space can be tricky in a van build. Thanks for sharing your honest feedback! 🚐✨
Good thing it’s not yours!
John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" Will you today genuinely by faith receive Jesus into your life for salvation?
Would have preferred a real tour and less talking head.
so whats so insane about it? just another bait video... this shit is getting old
I understand your frustration, and I want to clarify-my goal is never to bait or mislead anyone. 😊
Nice van but could never sleep at night working in such an immoral industry.
@@prichards8229 Everyone has a choice how they live their lives and some are just too unpalatable to defend.
