@@Sleeperdude thanks for the reply, and yea, that was an issue I had with my old rig, what I did was just install a temporary bypass in the hot and cold lines that went to it initially, and removed the unit all together, I had an idea to use like black rubber hoses on the hot side and then get a small holding tank (even one of those 5g water bottles that are used with a water cooler) wrap that in insulation and such to hold the hot water gathered then run one of the lights to a second 12v pump to the shower so you can have hot water on demand
Great video! You all were very gutsy climbing up on top of that roof, especially after seeing the way it was sagging! Love seeing the whole family chip in too.

Prediction: @Sleeperdude (and Sleeperdudette) kids will not become adults with daddy or mommy issues. This series of RV restoration videos is how a family should be a family! I have now subscribed and will financially support this channel and its content. Thank you for being such a great example of how to be a family by tackling tough challenges...together.
Y’all knocked this video out of the ball park! Really enjoyed watching your family come together to redo this RV. Sleeperdude you are a blessed man to have a great family like this !
I stumbled on this channel about a month ago after watching Vgg, Puddin, and Mortske for the last few years and I’ve been hooked. Great job, great videos and great people here. Keep up the good work and thank y’all for the content!
Your entire family's got charisma in spades, and everyone's a cheerful laborer to boot! Perhaps most entertaining is the random humor strewn throughout, especially the self-effacing variety. The restoration's not bad either ;-)
Great video and information. Your kids are learning valuable knowledge on these projects. I had a 92' Ford four winds for about 10 yrs. It was 29' with a stainless steel top. Thanks for sharing. ♥️
Good job guys. It's nice to see that your whole family was involved I have four daughters and when my wife wanted to remodel the houseboat my daughter's disappeared everyday so I am going to sit them down and make them watch this whole video and show them this is what families do God bless all of you.
You're wife is everything I aspire to be. She just gets on with things and gets it done! What a lovely family you guys are ❤ Love from Wales, UK 🇬🇧 🏴
I enjoyed watching your camper videos. I'd like to find an RV to fix up rather than buying a new one. I love how you're teaching your kiddos by letting them help. Also love your critters and seeing someone from the south (I'm your Arkansas neighbor). I'll have to check out your other content now.
Great work guys! Just a suggestion but it would be an idea to run some sealer of some sort between your joints in the panelling, that will stop excess moisture getting behind them (condensation).
@@Sleeperdude With all due respect. Don’t caulk between the paneling. You need a path for water/ vapor to escape, no more rot building up behind the paneling. Just my thought. Great job. Love that the kids are super involved.
@@timothyhill4630 With all due respect sir; if you leave a path for moisture to get in; THEN you have to leave a path for it to get out. The original manufacturer did everything they could to make those panels watertight from both sides. Replicating that now with their repairs and renovations is just as important now as it was when it was built. I agree with the Commenter who said to seal it up.
You guys were so much fun to watch rehab this RV. You ALL worked hard to get this turned out like new. Mom was a killer on getting stuff done. Dad and Ralphie we're a work machine . Inside outside the were there to tackle it. The girls we a indispensable team for all the interior work ... I have never seen a family work this hard TOGETHER for a reward like this. You guys are AMAZING! 🇺🇸👍
My first time viewing this site. I had fun watching this renovation of RV with the family team work. Mom and Dad are really teaching kids how to getter done, so you can go out and have fun. And the family goat doing his part too, what a crew!
Wow just found your channel because of the RV demo, and i must say... if everybody in the world was as good of parents as yall, the world would be a much better place...you guys are amazing.. i think im gonna love this channel....cant wait to go campin....
We just found your channel. Your whole family is so precious! Mom and the kids were so impressive! I can’t believe y’all know how to do all of that stuff!❤
WOW!!! What a transformation! One thing I can say is that NONE of you are afraid to work and invest the time and effort to get what you want accomplished. This old girl really came back to life! Such persistence and great family times working together. Really great content and video!
Totally amazing job!!! I used to be in the R/V repair business it is a very grueling job, I used to work in the summer in 98 degree weather and inside the units it was brutal!! Roof repair and sealing is a major major major job!!!!!! You all did a fantastic job especially Mom and the family!!!!!! Your plumbing and carpentry skills are not too bad either Lol
Man that was an awesome job y'all did a good job on that RV if you had a got someone else to do it you probably would have spent 15 or $20,000 but when the family comes together y'all came together your wife the kids all of y'all are awesome I enjoyed the video loved it love the contents of it and I can't wait for the next one oh yeah tell my favorite goat he did a good job inspector loved it
Butyl tape… that’s the gooey stuff. You should have used that around your patches. It always stays soft and squishy. Mineral spirits gets it off easily. So butyl tape underneath then self leveling roof sealer on the top and recheck in a couple weeks later.
Look at self leveling lap sealant for rv roof. I used dicor 501LSW on my bus roof seams and penetrations. Roll butyl tape is also handy. Appreciate your content enjoy the rv
Haven’t finished the whole video yet. What you scraped off the roof that stuck to the osha flip flops was lap sealant. Old roof penetrations could be radio/tv antenna and solar connections. Your roofs probably good with all you did. If you have problems try the dicor over top on seams/penetrations. It seems to seep into cracks and holes if you put it on while it’s hot out. Get some rv toilet tank drop ins, really helps with the odor, and breaking up anything in the black tank. Nothing worse while on the road than black tank issues. If you have septic you can add a dump connection in your line. Can’t wait to see family trips in this beauty.
I heard the caratuff works better. Seen it on a bus redo. Not sure qat it's called but am I ever glad I seen the cheaper stuff they rolled on the roof. Had no idea they made it n they made it look so easy to put together too. There's a part you can get that let's you start the ac without using the power or all the power if the compressor so u can use batteries or a smaller geni etc. I wanted to put it on mine cuz my geni seems complicated that came with n I don't even know if it works yet. I was gonna buy one too. But also my ac isn't working in my front. Now I can deal with it too. I didn't realize the spare battery is for the geni. But I guess if we take it put the lights won't work either or will they run off the motor one? Plz explain in a vid when u can I guess my alt was charging it then but it seem to die so fast lol
As Vice Grip Garage would say, you have a real goin to town rig there. You and your entire family did an awesome job, and I am sure that you will enjoy it more because you fixed everything and brought it to life. Hard sweaty work has its rewards. Great job guys.

Thank you for posting this because I feel like it is possible now where before I had no idea I really appreciate your video. It will be very helpful. I hope to see many more.
Glad you enjoyed it.

I sure hope so. Thank you
Y’all knocked this video out of the ball park! Really enjoyed watching your family come together to redo this RV. Sleeperdude you are a blessed man to have a great family like this !
Thank you . Your right I am very blessed
I stumbled on this channel about a month ago after watching Vgg, Puddin, and Mortske for the last few years and I’ve been hooked. Great job, great videos and great people here. Keep up the good work and thank y’all for the content!
Thank you
Your entire family's got charisma in spades, and everyone's a cheerful laborer to boot! Perhaps most entertaining is the random humor strewn throughout, especially the self-effacing variety. The restoration's not bad either ;-)
Thank you so much
Great job everyone. Your family is so funny. I enjoyed watching you work together. And I learned a lot. Happy Holidays!
Camper is looking good. I'd get a tub of Flex seal paste to seal the roof to keep it from leaking.
Yeah we probably should
Great video and information. Your kids are learning valuable knowledge on these projects. I had a 92' Ford four winds for about 10 yrs. It was 29' with a stainless steel top. Thanks for sharing. ♥️
Thank you I appreciate it
Great family show. Your kids are getting so much from you two and your hands on parenting. A great example of how to loving your children.
Thank you
How am I so proud of a family I've never meet.
That’s awesome thank you
You guys have the best work ethics I've ever seen on RUclips. Great family . Your kids are going to be Rock Stars 🌟 🤩
In hope so
Good job guys. It's nice to see that your whole family was involved I have four daughters and when my wife wanted to remodel the houseboat my daughter's disappeared everyday so I am going to sit them down and make them watch this whole video and show them this is what families do God bless all of you.
That’s awesome thank you
You're wife is everything I aspire to be. She just gets on with things and gets it done! What a lovely family you guys are ❤ Love from Wales, UK 🇬🇧 🏴
Thank you so much
I enjoyed watching your camper videos. I'd like to find an RV to fix up rather than buying a new one. I love how you're teaching your kiddos by letting them help. Also love your critters and seeing someone from the south (I'm your Arkansas neighbor). I'll have to check out your other content now.
That’s awesome I’m glad you liked it
I’m in the middle of a similar rehab to an 86 Chevy RV. It’s great seeing the whole family pitching in. Mom deserves a new set of crocs!
That’s awesome thank you
Great work guys! Just a suggestion but it would be an idea to run some sealer of some sort between your joints in the panelling, that will stop excess moisture getting behind them (condensation).
Ok good idea thank you
@@Sleeperdude
With all due respect. Don’t caulk between the paneling. You need a path for water/ vapor to escape, no more rot building up behind the paneling.
Just my thought.
Great job. Love that the kids are super involved.
Might want to take a fin comb to your ac unit to help keep it cool..looked pretty flat in spots.
@@timothyhill4630 that wasn't caulk, it was adhesive.
This family is beautiful , you can feel the love they have for each other and respect 🥰 and the animals are entertaining as well 😂
Thank you I am blessed
I love how the kids pitched in and helped big time. You have a right to be very proud of your family...Happy Camping!!!
Thank you I am blessed
You guys were so much fun to watch rehab this RV. You ALL worked hard to get this turned out like new. Mom was a killer on getting stuff done. Dad and Ralphie we're a work machine .
Inside outside the were there to tackle it. The girls we a indispensable team for all the interior work ... I have never seen a family work this hard TOGETHER for a reward like this. You guys are AMAZING! 🇺🇸👍
Thank you
My first time viewing this site. I had fun watching this renovation of RV with the family team work. Mom and Dad are really teaching kids how to getter done, so you can go out and have fun.
And the family goat doing his part too, what a crew!
Thank you
Really proud of you guys.....what a close knit family and everyone so actively engaged in the project. Keep going, Best wishes...
Thank you I am blessed
The renovation success of this campervan was because the family worked together from start to finish. Wonderful!
Found your channel for this RV series. I’m obsessed! Love your family. Some good, clean entertainment here. Got yourself a new subbie! 🙋🏾
Thank you 😊

Thank you
We just found your channel. Your whole family is so precious! Mom and the kids were so impressive! I can’t believe y’all know how to do all of that stuff!❤
Thank you so much!!
I’ve found that self leveling RTV works about the best for an RV roof. It “puddles” to fill in the gaps. Most RV supply stores carry it
Ok thanks
@@Sleeperdude use Dicor self leveling sealant or another rv specific roof sealant. Everything else will crack and eventually fail.
What a wonderful memories you, making with your family .
I am blessed thank you
WOW!!! What a transformation! One thing I can say is that NONE of you are afraid to work and invest the time and effort to get what you want accomplished. This old girl really came back to life! Such persistence and great family times working together. Really great content and video!
Thank you I am blessed
Totally amazing job!!! I used to be in the R/V repair business it is a very grueling job, I used to work in the summer in 98 degree weather and inside the units it was brutal!! Roof repair and sealing is a major major major job!!!!!!
You all did a fantastic job especially Mom and the family!!!!!! Your plumbing and carpentry skills are not too bad either Lol
Thank you so much
Man that was an awesome job y'all did a good job on that RV if you had a got someone else to do it you probably would have spent 15 or $20,000 but when the family comes together y'all came together your wife the kids all of y'all are awesome I enjoyed the video loved it love the contents of it and I can't wait for the next one oh yeah tell my favorite goat he did a good job inspector loved it
Thank you
Butyl tape… that’s the gooey stuff.
Thank you
Haven’t finished the whole video yet.
You guys all worked hard to knock that out. Well done!!! Awesome to see the whole family so involved. Enjoy
Thank you I appreciate it
As Vice Grip Garage would say, you have a real goin to town rig there. You and your entire family did an awesome job, and I am sure that you will enjoy it more because you fixed everything and brought it to life. Hard sweaty work has its rewards. Great job guys.
Thank you
@35:08 don't forget to replace that exhaust fan. You ALL did an awesome job on the camper!! What a cool way to share family time!
Ok thank you I’m glad you liked it
