105 hours in. It took me forever on the same shrine. It was by far the toughest one I've encountered. I wasn't sure about this game at first but it grew on me.
90+ hrs in the game! I really liked the Depths, the mood, sense of exploring the dark and unknown... Raiding Yiga camps and unlocking thier crazy schematics!!❤
dude me toooooo. it was simple but really cool idea to invert the upper world - like the valleys down there are mountains above, the barriers/walls are rivers etc. it's interesting and cool
I went for unlocking the towers first as well. The amazing thing about this game is how easy it is to get sucked into a side quest. I cant' say how many other small things I did while trekking to a tower. As for shrines, YES! I'm 100% sure I'm doing them wrong too. But hey, if the doorway opens and I hear that little tune, I guess I did it right...ish? 😆
160 hours, 3 temples, 98 shrines, only a third of the deepths map (this place its huge and hard to explore) and all the glipths/memories. So far, epic game, definetely GOTY. The deepths are my favourite part too. Its so "journey to the center of earth" by Jules Verne.
I would recommend doing the wind temple early on to unlock the wind ability. It would make traversing more enjoyable. I'm 65 hours in, only two temples done and enjoying it at a good pace I think. Great game
Fusing a beehive to a stick is a genius idea, I need to try it asap! I'm 60 hours into the game but there's so much I haven't discovered yet. I love it!
I don't think I'll be getting to TotK for a while yet, but I was all on board for BotW so can't see a reason why I won't like this! Great to hear you've been hooked on it.
I have about 100 hours so far. Honestly I got bored with the Breath of the Wild, but this new game has me hooked. Every improvement you mentioned in the video I agree with, but I would like to add I think the story line is better too. I haven’t been so sucked into Zelda like this since twilight princess. I have played every major installment of Zelda and Tears of the Kingdom is my favorite.
I haven't played a ton, but I've found I'm doing the opposite of BOTW. In that, I did mainly story and left shrines and side quests for in between. In TOTK, I haven't even touched the story since the beginning. Exploring has been really relaxing (except for the tougher enemies I sometimes run into). Oh, and the compendium! I've been doing stuff with that too! I mostly ignored it last game, but for some reason, been obsessed this time.
I am DEEP in TOTK!! My son is farther in but I have 3 more towers to get to finish opening the map. I am basically taking my time, getting the towers and shrines first.
Thanks for the tip for shooting the cave rabbits. I'm 100 hours or more in and its all I'm playing as well. I love helping the sign guy! Ive just been exploring and hoarding items.
50 hours in. I’m actually one of those who didn’t like botw that much, but I’m loving totk! They improved many of the things that kept me from enjoying botw.
Same here. I tried to like Botw but after 30 hours I knew it wasn't for me. I'm loving Totk though. I'm really glad I was able to get it on sale for $50 or I might have never given it a chance.
Hey y’all, I did not like BotW that much either. What is it about TotK that is working for you? Because to me it looks like more of the same with a lot more building mechanics which is something I don’t necessarily seek from a Zelda game.
@@JC-cb8oi For me personally, one big thing is that the story is immediately more gripping and compelling, and the entire plot/story isn't completely revealed to you a few hours into the game. Totk has more cut scenes, more voice acting, more fleshed out and developed characters and NPCs, better and more interesting side quests, and as Link you feel like you're very much part of a connected and cohesive experience. Weapon breaking is much less of an issue as you can craft new weapons on the go at virtually any time. The building mechanics isn't something you're required to be super invested in, but you can use it in quick/simple ways to help in exploration. Core gameplay is largely the same though, so if your main gripe about botw was "I can't stand the way Link runs around and swings his weapon," then maybe the series just isn't for you haha.
I hope they add a DLC creative mode where you have the sailcloth, infinite stamina, infinite battery cells, infinite building supplies, and things don't disappear when you close the game.
Love the video as always… I don’t know how to put this into words… I enjoy the topic and content of these videos but beyond the final product I love the pacing the editing the narration and the at times quirky commentary… love the off brand closings of the videos… Feel like a friend is making these videos personally for me.. -ur biggest fan in the states ❤
I basically went straight to the Depths after I left the sky island. I saw a pit on my way to Lookout Landing and I more or less jumped straight in. I did continue and visit Landing first and I did a little bit, but I basically didn't talk to any NPCs other than the ones immediately necessary and I may or may not have even activated Lookout Landing's tower yet before I returned to the hole and jumped in. Then I mapped out maybe 15% of the Depths making it all the way to the south-west corner of the map and finding the Construct Factory and Autobuild before I returned to do Surface content, only because I finally ran out of Brightblooms and resources in general. Kind of like in Dragons Dogma I accidentally ended up going to Bitterblack Isle extremely early, I don't think I even did much outside of that first town before I saw the lady on the docks and went to the Isles and I beat the isles before I beat the game through brute force, lots of retrying, and lots of practice. Oh. I have 115 hours of activity registered on my account. I'd say maybe at least 15 hours are time spent with it paused maybe? For the record, I never finished Breath of the Wild. I only got to play it originally because I was living with a friend who owned it and eventually moved away and could never bring myself to replay it again and re-do all the early game content. I think did all the Divine Beasts at least, and I played enough that I really missed Stasis while playing Tears. Still do tbh. It shouldn't be difficult at all to incorporate Stasis into the Rewind ability. And summoning bombs is something I used a lot and miss too. Especially would be nice with Fuse to have on-demand bombs to fuse with a shield for bomb-jumps. I imagine they could at least have an ability called "Infuse" that converts any object into an explosive- Maybe Infuse can effect Water to turn it into explosive ice to emulate that ice ability. It shouldn't be broken because there's already a lot of opportunities to make explosions if you want them, the Sages in particular. But that's a lot different and doesn't interact with other abilities so much (Fuse, namely). Remove the Map or Amiibo buttons from the power wheel and replace them with real abilities. Why tf would I need a wheel space taken up by what the Select button already does? And Amiibo is such a niche thing it's a waste of space for probably most players, and most the remainder probably just have one or two to use. It can be an option in the menu. So that's 2 spaces to free up for new powers. Infuse, and something else.
Finished the game yesterday after slightly under 100 hours, though there's obviously a lot of stuff I didn't yet do. But I remember that shrine where you got stuck, mostly because I got stuck there for a while, too. But it was so much so fun to experiment and try it out my weird creations even if they fell down into the abyss eventually.
I just found out I can check how many hours I have played this game. It felt like 250-300, but it only says 185. I have spent twice the time playing BOTW, but I guess its because I have played through that game 3 times. So far I have only played through TOTK 1 time.
Sweet review! I’ll considered buying it from the eshop sometime. Congratulations on winning the contest and those letters are awesome! Very thoughtful of them to send them!
Just make sure you turn off the sages abilities when you are not using them for traversal or they might blow items off cliff by accident or they might kill an enemy you don’t want them to kill like the Octorocks in death mountain when you want to remove rust from a weapon or shield or add a buff to said piece of equipment.
I’m about 70 hours in and watching this I just want to go home and play more 😂 this game is soo good I love it. Also your reviews are always spot on, I’ve played just about every game you’ve reviewed, we have a very similar gaming taste. 😅
i'm actually someone who didn't finish botw (only did 2 divine beasts) but despite that bought totk nevertheless and so far I'm loving totk so much more!! idk how to explain it but botw always made me sorta anxious when playing but I don't have that at all with totk!! i think the combat is actually much more fun too bc with fuse you can do so much cool stuff even early on and I'm really loving that,, overall I love the new abilities
Hmm, thanks for sharing! This sorta sounds like me, I've played Botw several times but never finished it, I enjoy the feeling of getting stronger but at the same time I always feel a little stressed out. I thought this was just more of the same but I may have to consider getting it in the future haha.
(Spoiler warning about the depths) You know what’s crazy? I didn’t care about the Chasms and underground that much until I randomly came across the tunic of twilight and the trousers of time…I kid you not once I realized what the old maps lead too I spent over 20 plus hours searching the depths😂
Im not sure how many hours I have into the game (probably only like 20-30), but I have beaten the Rito part of the main story and have been trying to fill in the map before I do much more. I have about 5 more towers to find and I've barely made a dent into the underground map. It's so huge down there and I think it might be bigger than the above ground map. I'm currently trying to get the autobuild ability. I meant to get it earlier, but kept putting it off because I was exploring. This game is massive and I'm enjoying it a lot!
That on rails shrine you spent an hour on… your solution was brilliant. Took me an hour as well and my success was similar to one of your early prototypes, just simpler. Yours was so far away from all of the fails I went through. Never crossed my mind to make what you did lol
Haha I didn’t know I could shoot bees! I’m 70 hours in and I just finished all the memories. The sound in these games is soooo relaxing to me I love it so much
Bout to finish the last boss Rn im really taking it slow i prob wont try to beat gannon just yet thou ive been doing tons of quest and exploring then going back and working on a main quest when i feel like i have alot of op weapons
I recommend to do fire temple and wind temple first as well since Yunobo rock fire bomb help me with exploration in the caves And Tulin wind whistle help me fly longer and faster during paragliding
Over 100hrs in, it’s a fantastic addition/follow up to BOTW. Only complaints would be that so many (maybe 20%) of the shrines are the “just walk in and take the chest” variety, no puzzles or anything. Sucks because I love the shrine puzzles. Second point is mainly a request, I wish they’d add in the ability to tweak the sound in the settings. I love turning it up to hear the subtle nature noises, but don’t like the blasts of sound effects and music when the sound is turned up.
I can't wait to play. Picked it up a few days ago. Is there an expiration date for the temu code? However I'm gonna finish botw first then start tears later.
Im doing the same thing finding all the map towers right away, i have to get this game for my nephew he loves minecraft but is getting old for minecraft so this would be much better
I actually solved that shrine you did in 1 hour differently. I placed a board on top of the rails and 2 boards bellow Meaby another one bellow as well, either way I was on top of the rails instead of hanging under them. Sorta what I love that no solution is the same. But yeah 60 hours into the game and sorta trying to figure out how to solve Zoras domain currently and done a bit in the sky, ground and under ground (underground is important to get more battery).
I don't know how many hours I've played but I haven't had as much time to play as I'd like. I recently got the glider and have been just messing around, I'm supposed to be meeting goggles to open the camera but keep getting sidetracked. I am finishing this quest today, I hate not being able to get pics of all the monsters I've come across.
This is nintendos best effort to pull ircha gently away from skyrim as the favorite game. They had your picture up in the offices with caption,(do it for her) on this one.. I'm loving it sofar
I'm not sure yet which I liked more. At this point I feel maybe I like BOTW more (didn't finish yet though). I liked the abilities maybe more and it felt a bit easier. Some of the puzzles now take forever/are so complicated (unnecessary) which is great to extend game time but also makes me frustrated way more easily. I also liked the guardians a LOT. But maybe I haven't played enough yet, some tricks and adds are really neat though.
7:49 that's when i first learned that the korok seeds could've been saved easier, the hard way hahahah, i made a platform, send the little dude glued on the rail and then... physics happened, the "rack" was blown by the wind and the little dude met jesus! then i saw a perfect cart with wheels and all, i literaly just had to drop it on the rail with the little guy inside hahaha
I see a lot of comments below saying they didn't like BoTW but are loving ToTK. I might have to get ToTK. I... still don't know if I liked BoTW, I beat it, collected all the armor and did all 128 or whatever shrines but then never played it again and I usually play through games I like several times in a row.
I've had BOTW in my backlog for YEARS but finally started playing it since Zelda hype huge in the gaming community right now. It doesn't feel like BOTW has been out for 6 years already but I'm so behind on the times 😂
Thank you so much for the photo idea for the compendium! I'm still playing botw and your example is actually a pretty neat idea ! Didn't think of it myself that you could build your compendium up this way too ! So thank you ❤
Yesterday I freed my first divine beast in BOTW, so I'm 0 hours into TOTK. I don't know when I'll get to ot, but I don't care because I just love BOTW so much.
I've recently in the past year gotten in too jrpgs I've played them in the past but now I've got deep into them I'm looking for recommendations for chats or something I wanna make friends and talk about jrpgs any help would be appreciated thanks
Botw was ok for me, enjoyed it but its probably 4th or 5th on my favorite (with Totk in consideration). I definitely like Totk more than Botw I think its 3rd in my favorites of Zelda

I was lucky and randomly got tulin first and I highly recommend that one first too. Wind gust is so helpful.

Hi Ircha! 55 hours played and didn´t do temples and most of the main quests. Mostly doing secondary quests and shrines 🙂
I basically went straight to the Depths after I left the sky island. I saw a pit on my way to Lookout Landing and I more or less jumped straight in. I am having so much fun playing Tears of the Kingdom... I like it more than Breath of the wild.
Have you done any stable's picture quests?
170 hrs. 1 temple, half of the depths map. I loooove the depths and caves. And yes, i was hoping the sky islands to be bigger but best game ever
My tip is go check out every Sky island even if it seems small and unimportant because I’ve found a lot of cool armor that way!
That on rails shrine you spent an hour on… your solution was brilliant. Took me an hour as well and my success was similar to one of your early prototypes, just simpler. Yours was so far away from all of the fails I went through. Never crossed my mind to make what you did lol
Great video as always!
Sadly my job consumes so much of my time, but I'm like around 40 hours in somehow!
SUCH A GAME!!!!
Haha I didn’t know I could shoot bees! I’m 70 hours in and I just finished all the memories. The sound in these games is soooo relaxing to me I love it so much
Damn 70 hours ive hit 150+ hours still soooo much fun to be had
Bout to finish the last boss Rn im really taking it slow i prob wont try to beat gannon just yet thou ive been doing tons of quest and exploring then going back and working on a main quest when i feel like i have alot of op weapons
I recommend to do fire temple and wind temple first as well since Yunobo rock fire bomb help me with exploration in the caves
And Tulin wind whistle help me fly longer and faster during paragliding
135hrs in, and just remembered last night that the main story exists. So, I'm working on that now....
"It's the only thing I play." just about sums up the last 2 weeks.
😁👍
What grip are you using? Can it be used in docked mode?
The grip can be docked yes! Link in description to the skull and Co grips, my discount code may even still work 😉👍
Never knew how much I needed these tips and tricks... thanks boo
Its just one of those channels, I automatically smash the like button right after clicking play :D
Did the same, started unlocking the map :D
60 hours here.
I’m on 150 hours 100 shrines hundreds koroks, thousands poes, done 4 of the temples, and still don’t want to battle Ganon and end the game
Hey Ircha would you recommend the crystal grip from skull & co or the neogrip? LOVE THE CHANNEL ❤️💙
I like building vehicles using the stranded koroks backpack. Then I ride the korok over to their friend
I was looking for that audio setting too! I don't understand why it's not included as an option.
I’m 50 hours in and I’m loving it too! There’s an insane amount to do
I can't wait to play. Picked it up a few days ago. Is there an expiration date for the temu code? However I'm gonna finish botw first then start tears later.
Even after 70 hours it still feels like a new game, I'm constantly finding new tricks of how to use your powers.
I won't be done until like 250 hour mark, I'm sure... xD
But yeah 60 hours into the game and sorta trying to figure out how to solve Zoras domain currently and done a bit in the sky, ground and under ground (underground is important to get more battery).
seeing what you built for that shrine that took you an hour blew mymind because that is not at all what i built. the options are amazing
Awesome 🤗 yeah there are so many options!
I have +70 hours too, but I must say, I love the depths, but I´m focusing on the sky right now.
I would recommend the temples for the abilities that you get, they really help in my exploration afterwords.
"if you played and never left the great plateau you're missing out..."was this a diskydisk easter egg for Tinyhats?🤣
Hahah 😂 skyrim is still fave.
You can toss a pine cone in a campfire and it would give you a wind gust, that would have helped out at rito village
But maybe I haven't played enough yet, some tricks and adds are really neat though.
there is a way more horrifying replacement of guardians my guy
@@shun22222 but I liked the guardians 😂
What case is that on her switch? Anybody know where one can buy one of those?
Skull and Co grip, link and discount code in description 😁👍
That shrine took me 1.5 hours too 😂 when you mentioned the shrine I was like "I feel like I know what shrine you mean"
Omg 😂 very nice
I am 110 hours in and yesterday did second temple. Love it.
Always nice to see a new Ircha Gaming video, really enjoy them 😀👍
Thank you so much
my god, you have such a natural gift of comedic timing 😂
The shrine that took you an hour. I took a long time too. Then I used a rocket shield halfway to complete it. 😕
Which switch case are you using? Looks so comfy ❤
Lol I literally just did that chest attach truck before seeing you do it lol I love love love this game it’s too good
7:49 that's when i first learned that the korok seeds could've been saved easier,
the hard way hahahah, i made a platform, send the little dude glued on the rail and then...
physics happened, the "rack" was blown by the wind and the little dude met jesus!
then i saw a perfect cart with wheels and all, i literaly just had to drop it on the rail with the little guy inside hahaha
I just flew over the Rito Village bridge gap with the help of an updraft 😂 threw a pinecone into the bonfire next to the bridge
This looks so so good.
I want to buy a Switch OLED but i think i should wait for the next Switch then jump into all these great Nintendo games.
"It's the only thing I play, I don't play anything else". That's got to be the quote of the year!😝
I see a lot of comments below saying they didn't like BoTW but are loving ToTK.
160 hours. Ended up being on vacation for a week the week after it came out, so I was able to put in like way too many hours for the first 7 days.
Ive tried to get into botw but i just cant. Im playing skyrim and witcher 3😊
Thank you so much for the photo idea for the compendium! I'm still playing botw and your example is actually a pretty neat idea ! Didn't think of it myself that you could build your compendium up this way too ! So thank you ❤
Lol. She is so expressive and animated. Just a joy to watch her talk about stuff 😅
Lmao thanks 😁 🤗
I am not rushing the game butttt 120 hours in
Yesterday I freed my first divine beast in BOTW, so I'm 0 hours into TOTK. I don't know when I'll get to ot, but I don't care because I just love BOTW so much.
The Zelda devs are the Masters 💟
i build that bridge too xD when u only need fly over thx to fireplace air
I was so disappointed when I saw the bridge was no longer there when I returned :(
130 hrs in and I don’t want it to end!
As shown on 3:42?
I've recently in the past year gotten in too jrpgs I've played them in the past but now I've got deep into them I'm looking for recommendations for chats or something I wanna make friends and talk about jrpgs any help would be appreciated thanks
Botw was ok for me, enjoyed it but its probably 4th or 5th on my favorite (with Totk in consideration). I definitely like Totk more than Botw I think its 3rd in my favorites of Zelda
Yeah I love the caves. It might be my favorite thing. Botw had no caves, made me sad
75 hours, I HATE botw. But totk converted me into a zelda fan. Such a game! 10/10
Yikes! I just looked at my profile, 150+ hours.... thanks for asking ......now I feel bad.
I'm 50 hours into the game, taking it nice and slow, have one more tower to unlock.
I have 80 hours and I'm somewhere, I think, halfway through the game. I do everything on my own. Brilliant game 😁
And 0:20 too?
I'm 45 hours in and loving it
TEMU sponsorships are the new RAID: Shadow Legends sponsorships.
That part gave me Mario Sunshine vibes too.
I just unlocked the auto build ability after 50 hours in :/ i never went into the depths until now lol
