I saw a lot of complaints too. But this direct was made for ppl like us!! We literally have the same taste in games!!! I was excited about almost every game!!! But then again I love jrpgs and fire emblem and farming games!! So it was a dream come true. Best direct ever!
This direct was catered towards a specific audience (fans of simulations and JRPGs) and that is why a ton of people are saying that they didn't like it. Luckily, I am a fan of both genres and because of this, it was up there in one of my top directs of all time.

I've only recently stumbled upon your channel and in the back of my mind I figured you'd have a decent outlook on this Nintendo Direct. I find it hilarious that so many people were upset at the amount of "Farming Sim" games in this Nintendo Direct. No one told them to get their hopes up based on rumors and "leaks" for their preferred titles. Secondly, Why is it only ok to get the repetitive titles/genres they want AD NAUSEAM (i.e. Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokémon alone has over 100+ games), but when more niche markets try to expand and make more games, it's "bad"? I get not liking a genre or having different tastes, but being full blown upset and crapping on the whole event is a bit much. The world doesn't revolve around them and these people need to get a grip. 🤣
I felt the same! I watched another RUclipsr react to the direct and she and so ma y comments were complaining about the games shown and the fact they didn’t get another windwaker. I couldn’t believe people were so upset over it and felt entitled to get certain games

Totally agree with you... to the point that I feel annoyed with the Predictions for the direct 😒...... the direct is for everyone there must be at least 1 or 2 games you like and if so Nintendo did its job... if there are more than 2 then you'll go broke making Nintendo rich...

I love how bluntly honest you are about whether something appeals to you or not - soooo many reviewers try to talk about games they know nothing about to, I'm not sure, make it fair I think? And it just doesn't work. Your 'I won't be playing it' is so much better! So many of the games here look so great - I'm really looking forward to the RF3 and SoS remakes, and the FE game especially. Various Daylife is a TERRIBLE name (seems to be a theme for Square Enix atm), but it looks to be using the same ideas as Fantasy Life from the 3DS, which is my favourite game on the system. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it.

I think with a "New Rune Factory Series" they mean new games outside of the main line games, so something like Frontier or Oceans. The interesting part about that is more... what exactly is that gonna be? Because those games were special for being full 3D games, with the main line games going that direction tho now.. it will be interesting but I'm excited!
Splatoon 3 is my first game in the series, and it's so fun and incredibly addicting. Salmon Run and the story mode are just as fun as turf war and ranked. I also enjoy the character customization, and the locker decorating is so fun.
Also Fae Farm looks absolutely amazing and it's the game I'm most excited for next year
If Ryza and Klaudia don't confess their love for each other in Ryza 3 I'm gonna riot!
I haven't playes Ryza 1 or Ryza 2 (yet) but what I saw in this video seemed gay!!!!!! I love it!! Now I don't know whether to get Ryza 2 or wait for Ryza 3. The sea animal mounts look so cool!
I was soooooo hyped about all these games ! As a fan of Fire Emblem, Rune Factory, Zelda.. and now Atelier (thanks to you!), I guess I'll replay Ryza 1 & 2 :D also very curious and hyper avout Harvestella, I love Square Enix games in general, can't wait to see this Rune Factorish game !

I've seen a lot of complaints but this direct finally had games for us who love cozy games, and Wonderful Life and Tales of Symphonia remasters are sooo exciting!!!

I was super hyped when I heard about the Resident Evil games....until I saw cloud. No no no.... Why ??? Like you said : your internet has to be stable, you have to have unlimited data + you don't own the game.
I still buy digital games but the past months I'm buying the 'big titles' (like Xenoblade for example) as physical editions so I really really have it.
A Wonderful Life was one of my favourite games from the Gamecube era - hyped for the remake. The soundtrack alone brings back good memories.
I have 9 pre-orders now (1 per month until the end of May). So far.. I would say if there is 3 things in a direct that I NEED day 1, It's a success. It's a success.

I'm absolutely hype for Rune Factory 3 Special! I really hope it will have a collector's edition. That would be super cool! Btw, Rune Factory 3 Special isn't a remake, it's only a remaster. It's clearly getting the same treatment as RF4S so obviously, the core gameplay will stay and there most probably won't be any same-sex marriage nor will they be adding a female mc for those expecting it. Remasters of older games will most probably not have same-sex marriage - but I think we can expect all the new RF entries in the future will have that. They just won't be adding it to the older games.
Splatoon 3 is easily the best game in the franchise so far. everything feels optimized and fun! This is the game that got me into other shooters, but even then it remains my fave.
The ones that are upset are the ones who were dumb enough believe the obviously fake leaks and rumors they have no one to blame but themselves there i said it and i meant it

Rpgs are my first game addiction with life and farming Sims being a close second so I loved this direct almost as much as the mini direct a few months ago. This month is ridiculously full of games I want but I'm most looking forward to wyldeflowers.
6:48 "New Rune Factory Series" - Probably a sub series of RF, like how Persona has spinoff titles too.
When RF5 was announced, some players were disappointed it's in full 3D, including me so I'm hoping the spinoff series will be like RF1-4's graphics.
The preference in graphics was mentioned in the survey posted some time ago, so maybe they're considering things that fans wanted.

Finally a mainstream video game youtuber who also loved the direct! Beat'em Ups, WolfDen, Review Tech USA, they all disliked this direct and it made me confused as to why, so many amazing games! Fire Emblem mainline game, Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life remake, Rune Factory 3 Special, Tales of Symphonia Remake, Kirby remake, Harvestella looks intersting, Octopath 2, and so many others!

I know a lot of people hated the direct but I loved it lol not my wallet, though, my wallet hated it. I haven’t even finished Ryza 1 but Ryza 2 is on sale and I’m very tempted to get it while it’s cheap 😂

Animal Crossing sold 40m and still going strong in sales. Farming and simulation sims are not niche no more. I for one am very happy with this development.

The cloud gaming idea is a solid theory but for games that are way more involved it becomes a problem based on your connection. I tried Control (I beat the disk version) on cloud and it was unplayable to me. The fast combat made it impossible to play because I was fighting the lag more than the enemies.
When they announced Altelier being in production I knew Ircha was all over that probably drooling 🤤
I played the Harvestella demo and I plan on getting it when it comes out. I am also excited for the new Atelier game.
I also really loved this Direct.
The Fire Emblem game especially feels like it was made for me. Just what I wanted, plus some more stuff I didn't even know I wanted until I saw it.
IRCHA YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED SPLATOON?!?!?!? It's a MUST! I didn't know what to think of it so I got a very beat up used copy of Splatoon 2 to try it out and it's become one of my most favorite games!
Oooo new Rune Factory series sounds very interesting. If they take what they have learned from Rune Factory 5 (good game despite it’s flaws in my opinion), they could definitely have a successful franchise like Fire Emblem.
Speaking of Fire Emblem, I am PUMPED and excited for the new game!!! Looks really good! Hope the story is great. Not a total fan of the main’s hair but I like the Female version’s outfit right off the bat since I wasn’t that into Female Byleth’s outfit at first.

I was satisfied with the direct. It had a decent amount of games I'm interested in and my mom and sister would probably be interested in some of the farming games. I'm excited for Pokemon Stadium and 007. I'll probably upgrade when those are released. I'm glad that there's another Fire Emblem game (I just started Three Hopes and loved Three Houses), but for some reason the trailer didn't excite me a lot. I'll most likely buy it day one though. I'm excited for the Kirby game and Zelda too. I played Kirby: Nightmare In Dreamland and loved that game. The one coming out reminds me of that.
Most of the time these kind of game shows aren't for me, because a lot of those things focus on racing games and shooters but this was amazing in my eyes, and i also felt the love with the indie showcase.

For me, this direct was great, as you said, it was made for me too😍. I am hype for fire emblem: engage, Atelier Ryza 3, Harvestella, Bayonetta 3, RainCode, ff crisis core, tunic, rune factory 3, tales of symphonia and Zelda: tears of the kingdom. Xenoblade expansion pack is only going to be worth it for that small game they are releasing next year. Which you could probably buy the game, just like Torna. If the new mini game is anything like Torna, it will be great, I think. I really liked Torna.
I live in Australia, so there isn’t good cloud streaming, in my experience.

I was thinking earlier how I did enjoy the new direct. Nintendo is an company that likes to do new things. I think they are trying to get us to try new things. I have never played a farming simulator game, but after watching this direct I think I'm going to buy one of the farming games.

It's a Dragon Quest spinoff with monster collecting, exploration, and treasure hunting. I am VERY excited about this one. I playing Dragon Quest XI now. I have to finish that, then play Pokemon Arceus, and somehow be ready for Pokemon Violet / Scarlet AND Dragon Quest Treasures (which comes out 12/9/22. Eeeeek. I need to take time off work...LOL

Honestly, I was bitterly disappointed by the direct and kinda felt my time was wasted, that being said, it's good to be conscious of others. I'm glad there are some people out there who were excited, the world would be a boring place if it constantly catered to my tastes 😅

Highly recommended to get it! It’s gorgeous and the gameplay loop is so addictive. Really wished I could experience it all over again but I’ll have to settle for waiting for the third adventure next year 🥲
You can still find physical copies on Ebay occasionally, usually for MRSP or a little above. It’s not a sale price but having physical is better imho bc no one will come to your house to pry it out of your hands. Lmao

There is a huge market for these kinds of games, just as much as any other genre. I’m really glad Nintendo picked up on it. Good of them.
After a couple days of reflection, I think it was a solid Direct. Especially if you're a fan of farming games. Then it's the motherload! There was Pikmin 4 and Kirby! I wanted so badly to see Wind Waker or Metroid Prime. I shouldn't have believed the rumors, because that's all they were. If I had gone into it without expectations, I would have said, "Hey, that was a good DIrect!" Because it was.
You liking shooters (I got obsessed with warface too as much as you did), I think you will like the Splatoon franchise ! I absolutely love it, especially with the Oled on handheld. If I remember correctly you also love motion controls in shooter - then this one is for you!

Splatoon 3 is my first ever shooter and I'm obsessed! It's so addictive and from what I can tell, the best in the series. Plus the other modes like the card game and the single player campaign are awesome too! Highly recommend!

It depends on it you play mostly in handheld or on TV 😋 I play waaay more handheld so for me it's switch 😁

Splatoon is a new take on shooting games from Nintendo, so you can expect a commendable effort especially on originality from them. Splatoon 2 sold around 14m so I it's pretty fair to say they succeded on that.
Octopath had one of the best soundtracks ever. Excited for the sequel. But most excited for FF7 Crisis Core remake (even more than BOTW 2) The best game on PSP imo and it’s not even close.
Yaaay a new Fire Emblem! For me Fire Emblem was the series that made me buy my first Nintendo handheld. :) So it has a special meaning for me. I wish they would do remakes for the super old Fire Emblem games too.

You honestly should be interested in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. I don't know if you've played the original game on the PSP, but it's actually a FANTASTIC JRPG.

Excited for Ryza 3 since it looks like there are actual new features in the game was a bit disappointed in 2 since felt like only graphics improved and took away feature from 1.

But yeah new Fire Emblem, Zelda release date, Bayonetta release date, Persona release date, Microsoft Zelda like, new Fatal Frame, more Xenoblade, Ryza 3, Rune Factory, golden eye and other stuff.

Splatooooooon! It can be chaotic, but it's a great game. Been hooked since 2017! Find your favorite weapon, get new clothes and get those perfect abilities set for your style of play, and ENJOY. ❤️
