I hope that Daniel dives into how he produced the guitars, vocals, and what samples he used in Superior Drummer. This was the easiest song I have ever mixed. Knowing what he did to get to the point of these stems would be gold!

The secret is the key signatures. I don't think the low tunning and studio effects are what makes the sound so seductive. It all comes down to in the end Music theory. The key signatures!! Most of spiritbox songs are in C melodic minor and using the modes of C melodic minor. The low G ends up being a G Dominant Phygian Mode.
I died inside when they said it was all Superior Drummer :( I don't mind augmenting, but replacing the whole thing or programming takes all the fun from mixing the drums for me.
Mike and courtney are creative demons! When these guys start creating shit the only thing you can do is: Watch and enjoy! Or in their case listen and enjoy!
Just came from the Loathe unboxing (incredible, by the way). Gotta say though, this is the worst possible song of Spiritbox's to unbox. It's only a very simple arrangement made for the sole purpose of being generically heavy (as a joke). If you want to hear something unique and layered, check out Trust Fall, The Mara Effect Pt1, or Belcarra.
