    200mp rendition looks the most natural in most cases, the least sharpening and artefacts. For me the oversharpening just kills the pictures...

    • @VelianSpeaksTech
      @VelianSpeaksTech  6 месяцев назад +2

      Yes... oversharpening and also bad noise control on 12 and 50 sometimes...

    • @user-ij8no5zw6u-
      @user-ij8no5zw6u- 6 месяцев назад +3

      @@VelianSpeaksTech That noise issue is super strange, should be the other way around... BTW the worst with Samsung camera is the vignette overlay, at low light when the sensor decides the light is not enough, everything that is supposed to be black becomes purple or brown with terrible texture and blooming effect.

      Totally agree. The sharpening waas supposed to be less aggressive on the S24 Ultra, but when you see the photos side by side with the 200mp, you see that the trees (for instance) don't look natural both in 12mp and 50mp. I keep wondering why Samsung doesn't try to give the default photos this "200mp look". It just looks so right.

      S24 ultra 200 MP and Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Ultra 50MP main camera full res is the best out of any cameraphone to date.

    12mp= best overall
    50mp= not the best
    200mp= really good depending on lighting conditions
    That what I see based on my experience with them

    The 50MP looks very weird in general. At most parts, it looks very oversharpened with it ending up sometimes looking no better than the 12MP shot.
    Also, you can change the picture format to HEIF. It's what the iPhone uses as well. You will save up about 2/3 of space for every image.
    Thanks for the comparison. I really like the way you compare the pictures side by side.

    12 Megapixel is better than 200 Megapixel at the s24 ultra...or do i only think so ?

    Not sure about you guys in the comments, but to me after upgrading from S22 ultra to 24 ultra, I can tell that the post processing of the 200MP and 50MP at 1x and 5x is rubbish... I am getting consistence results of 12MP having more details and sharpness in addition to excellent exposure/temperature of the photos.. with 50 and 200 the photos are very washed out, and colors are a joke..

      Same here on my S24+. The 50mp is washed out. The 12mp is better.
      It all has to do with Intelligence Optimization

    8:55 The 200MP is the same with the 50MP at this shot. I don't know why, but the phone may have had a brain fart at that point and taken a lower res image.

    This is something i try to Figure out. With my Pixel 8 pro 9of10 shots are great for what it is. Point and shoot. With the s24 ultra is no "This is the Best" Thing for a good shot u need to switch between 12, 50 and 200 and even then, it does not deliver that flagship experience u are kooking for. The Phone is rly awesome. It feels Premium, everything is good. I love the Performance and the Fingerprint sensor. But whenever I use the cam I mess around With These 3 types and when I take the Pixel 8 pro. Just Start the cam, making the picture and its always good. I hope the cam of the 24 ultra could be fixed With some Software Updates. On paper the camera looks awesome.

    I am using s24 ultra since1 month. And what i experienced that 12 mp is better picture quality then 200 mp. 200mp takes oversharp nd bright picture wich looks littel unnatural. I think 200 mp is dedicated for low light. With 12 mp samsung killing it ❤

    Thank you for this comparison. For my part, with my S24 ultra phone, I did not find the same results. The 200 mp doesn't seem as good as in your photos and I don't find the image quality that I had on the S23 ultra (with the 200 mp) maybe it's my phone that isn't working properly. Other RUclipsrs have noticed the same problem as me. They realized that 50 mp was better than 200 mp, while your comparison proves the opposite. I really like the quality of your work. Very beautiful city of Sofia ❤. What software do you use to display 3 photos simultaneously on the screen? THANKS 🥰.

      I'm general, the smaller the sensor pixels, the more susceptible to nose they are. This is why m4/3 ate more noisy than their full frame counterparts. I completely expected the 200mp sensor to me the most noisy. However, it does capture additional details, so these details may offset the noise to most observers

    • @awm0121
      @awm0121 4 месяца назад

      I'm sure Samsung understood this, so maybe they are doing heavy noise reduction on 200mp... May also be confusing the results

    The test proves that 200mp is not needed. Samsung deals with numbers and marketing, not quality improvement

      Dude, you should get in the clear with yourself, what you really want from your phone and then select thephone that meets your requirements. remember, you will use the phone, you want the phone to meet your demands and criteria. No phone is perfect and every phone sacrifices one thing on favor of another. your best bet is sacrifice what you do not want and do not need so you can get what you want in return.

      Heck, the post processing is awful with all of the mpx settings.
      Even with scene optimizer and super HDR off, the post processing is absolutely awful and beyond what's necessary.
      Using screen recording can really highlight the issues.
