No. I played with all 3 of the new s24 models, and if your s22 feels fast enough (it should, as my s21 Exynos still feels fast) and you can play the games you want, then no. I also went into developer options and set window animations, transition animations and animator to .5 instead of 1. Amazing how much of a difference in everyday use. The new s24 AI felt like a gimmick, isn't going to be useful most of the time, and doesn't accomplish much other phones have the power to do once they open the software to it on older and lower models. @@OttomanKayiGazi In poor light, yes. The 23U has worse aperture on the lens and has to increase the ISO for the same light level. Let it be 1:57 there is plenty of light. The image of the 23U is significantly better and with the 24U you can see that the same "focus" is made by cropping and sharpening. 23U looks much more natural.

Fabulous, thanks. This is like one of those Audiophile tests where you're trying to convince yourself that the expensive new Hi-fi sounds better. Maybe, in a silent room but otherwise you're never going to notice: As an old, professional, technical photographer I discovered a long time ago that you can burn a lot of cash trying to improve on lens designs from years ago: it looks like the remarkable phone optics have now reached some sort of plateau. I have been waiting to see what the S24 offered, but IMHO the discounted S23 makes WAY more sense. The rarely mentioned Ai subscription model that they're trying to roll out globally is best avoided as long as possible too! JM
I don't see any reason to upgrade my S23U. There is not that much difference to upgrade. Probably the IA functions also will come to the S23U so it will still getting better and better🥰 Very good review👍
Same here. Even considering that the AI features or Galaxy AI that is currently exclusive to s24 U will be coming to our devices sometime next quarter. I even advised my brother to buy a brand new s23 ultra as his android device as it is disgustingly cheap at the moment.
I'm a Samsung fan, but I think that today, we have to admit that Samsung is really purposely staying in excessive oversaturation and unnecessary overexposure in photo-video 🤦🏽♂️ Samsung should genuinely think about adding a realistic color profile to its photo app for photography, or allowing users to have something like the ''Photographic Style'' of iPhones, to allow us Galaxy users who can't stand oversaturation and excessive overexposure to adjust that. Ps: don't tell me about the Pro mode (I've known and used it for years), I ask to have this in automatic mode, not everyone is (certainly not) a professional photographer, but would like to have the possibility to make some quick adjustments to their liking.
Well put, agreed on all points. With S23U after all the updates, I still take photos with Expert Raw and edit in Lightroom. Sad, but with the AI era this procedure should belong to museum and history.
Tamed as in take advantage of it? If u mean for them to stop doing it you're our luck. Samsung is trying to go higher every few models untill we reach a 600MP camera.
Thanks to the improved updates that the S23 ultra received, it is now better than when it was released in terms of the camera. We also hope that they will accelerate the updates.
It's funny, I hate the curved display. The Note 20 and S23 Ultra are the only screens that ever broke on ne and it wad from drops of about 6 inches with screen protectors and cases.
I will say that when I heard that Samsung was dropping the 10x camera, I had kind of written this phone off, but I'm glad to see that the 10x shots with the 5x camera are at least comparable. Still, I have concerns at the more extreme ranges. On my S22 Ultra, I often zoomed into shots of wildlife because I couldn't get close and at 20x and 30x, those shots were still useable.
now THIS is what we've been waiting for! I don't agree with most of your conclusions though, in most cases I prefer S23U, which is quite a good news for the budget. Only concrete difference is reduced sharpening, but an average user might even prefer sharpening.
@@ChillGuy_1-e7y It isn't. The S24 has a red tint. Probably to compete with warm 2 movies. It makes colors false though. For instance I filmed a supermarket and a coca cola vanilla bottle is beige there but on the S24 video it is yellow and when I zoom in 5x in 8K, the whole video is blurry as if I were filming in 480p. No comparison to the S22 8k 6x zoom (I am aware that it is only digital zoom on the S22 and the S22 also only records in 24fps but it just looks sharper and has better colors). I think oversharpening is a must because of the small phone sensors/camera. It makes up for it and makes the picture prettier.
s23 ultra is better because it has updates but this s24 ultra is still with launch software but it still has some flaws but when the update is released it will improve the cameras but great work... for this comparison
I've pre ordered the s24 ultra and I'm already regretting it.. I've seen a few camera comparisons and s24 ultra doesn't seem to impress too much. For example look at this comparison. The fact I have to pixel peep just to see a difference is not good. A whole year and new phone and I have to squint my eyes and look just to see a change means the changes are very little. I'm not happy
Hi! Thanks for great comparison. I have s23 ultra and there is only one thing that really bothers me, and that is shutter lag. Any, even the slightest, movement and photos are practically useless. I tried all settings, and camera assistant app but nothing seems to be working. Is it fixed on s24 ultra?
They have exactly same camera hardware except 5x and 10x zoom lens. A lot of the differences just comes to the software. I would say wait till s23u get the one ui 6.1 update and then test again.
@@blaze26700revolutionary?lol all these features were already present on the pixel ,nothing revolutionary, also that is not enough in my opinion to upgrade to this phone .
Samsung really needs to implement some jardware changes next year. I mean it makes sense that they want to use economies of scale and milk last years technology. But seeing how most phone companies go for larger sensors its safe to say that both the main and wide-angle lens are in need for an overhaul (and not some Software update that never comes!).
Some people are hoping for software updates to improve the 24U. God, the S23U has the same sensor and is already updated for a year now, it's the same sensor on the 24U. It's not like Samsung is using a much larger sensor or the native pixel size is bigger.... it's the same sensor.
This is what I was waiting for + it will be great to compare when both are on UI 6.1 . Also, it seems S23 Ultra is overall better in 10X and 20X zoom videos, simply because of more capable hardware! However, S24 ultra is great with zoom images - can't say it beats 23 ultra though! But then, S23 Ultra is already optmized. However, while S24 Ultra shall get better, there is further room for optimization in S23 Ultra also like reducing oversharpening etc.
Personally I noticed the downgrade in quality from the 50mpx 5x recording 10x or 20x video. As someone who has tested both S22U and S23U I can tell quite easily
01:43 The flickering lights there is the reason why Samsung needs to include ability to record 25 fps. Right now it seems long zoom has jitter in video so that's a no-go instantly. Hopefully the high megapixel count for the telephoto lens will push Apple to release something similar, because right now the video quality of 2x - 5x with iPhone 15 Pro is not good right now.
You have a very discerning eye, and may I suggest you may be better off looking for a quality camera to give you the results you crave. Mobile devices are too restricted in terms of sensor size and the like. Don't get me wrong though, because as portable pocket sized devices they are incredible.
@@neilmcguinness4422 The jitter effect will be more obvious with longer clips and will be very distracting. Used in short clips, such as in this video, it's still kinda alright. Even iPhone video performs better but it still will suffer from such issues under certain situations. Of course for taking photos, none of these will matter.
So Samsung didn't really focus on huge camera improvements, considering I can barely see any. They were much more focused on better software, animations and AI. If you're buying s24 Ultra for camera, you might as well get s23 Ultra that looks even better in different circumstances. I bought s23 Ultra 3 weeks ago and I don't plan on changing it for a long time
The S23 Ultra is the best device Samsung has ever made, and it was always going to be neigh on impossible for the 24U to be noticeably better. Especially camerawise.
@lorenzdaks2213 I don't really think that s22 users have to upgrade, maybe not even s21 users. These are the phones made for a long term use. Fantastic camera, they're really fast and reliable. Once you buy a phone of this calibre, you should use it for at least 3 or 4 years. I remember my father pushing s7 edge to 5 years of use, and eventually, the battery was just shite and he had to change the phone.
Thanks for the Comparison! I think this may be More of an example of what using the Auto Setting on both phones achieve. I think the S23 Ultra is Far More Capable than shown. I don't know if it's worth Upgrading for the Camera's but I believe maybe the Titanium Frame and New Gorilla Screen Make It So. I haven't held the S24 Ultra Yet..❤
Just want to say I'm a super huge fan of the channel for years. 😊 Great review comparison.. the s24 is just slightly better.. If I had an s23 I would not upgrade.. Too costly But I have an s22 Ultra. Could you do a comparison. Would love that.???
S23 Ultra hadn't been oversharpening pics like that until some update came and bumped up the sharpening algorithms. Not the one to spread conspiracy theories but it doesn't feel like an accidental choice by Samsung
İt seems like Samsung dropped the ball with the S24U. İ suppose they focused on Aİ with this iteration. Thank you Chris for bringing us this wonderful presentation 🎉
3:28 You must be blind if you think the S24 Ultra is better here. S23 Ultra has a lot more detail. You can easily see the hair on the jaw and chin on S23 Ultra and the hair is a lot more detailed.
I think that updating the cameras in the S24 Ultra, like the iPhone 14 Pro, had many problems and its performance was the same as the previous generation 13 Pro, but with the 15 Pro it changed dramatically. Do you expect the problems to be resolved and the cameras to improve significantly with the S25 Ultra? For me, yes, except for night photography, where Samsung was cursed for not fixing its problems with strange colors and noise.
@@arash4448 I solved this issue by reducing the sharpness "Soften the image" by making it medium or high using the Camera Assistant app from the Galaxy Store.
I have the S22 Ultra and like upgrading every other gen. So, do you think you would be able to do an S22 Ultra comparison to the S24 Ultra? I feel like there are probably a lot of people like me out there.
I agree with many of the comments I've seen here. We just have to wait a bit for the upgrades. Every new phone has bugs to deal with that future updates will eventually address. For me personally, I will upgrade to the 24 Ultra because of the flat screen. That might not be so important for others, but for me, it is. I've carried my S23 Ultra all this time without any protection, because I couldn't find an adequate screen protector due to the curved edges. Now that the S24 will have a flat screen, that's a big plus. Having said all of this, I read somewhere that Samsung is comitted to 7 years of upgrades, and that is awesome news.
Good video and great review. I have the S22 Ultra. Do I buy a used S23 Ultra or go for the S24? I do a lot of photography. The step from 3x to 10x is always a problem on previous models so I like the flexibility of the new 5x lens. Perhaps I'll have to see more reviews
There are other great things about S24U. Flat screen! No hassle with weird screen protectors. Better transition between lenses and the duo lens zoom trick. This could be big step up by few updates.
@Ruudwardt That in addition to the S24 giving you about an hour longer battery life (over the S23 Ultra), the ant-reflective/anti-glare screen and increased brightness, as well as the A.I. features. I'm personally upgrading from the S22 Ultra myself. The preorder bonuses were tough to pass on. With my trade in of my S22 Ultra ($650) I only ended up paying $682 (including tax) for a 512 GB S24 Ultra, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Official Samsung Galaxy Clear Gadget Case, and and a Anti-Reflective Screen Protector.
The S24 Ultra doesn't seem to be that much different from the S23 Ultra. I'm willing to give the S24 Ultra the benefit of the doubt since it is brand new, so some of the "problems" we're seeing in these images will likely be fixed in future software updates. There are improvements from last year, however, most people won't even notice the difference. I would love to see a camera comparison between the S24 Ultra and the Pixel 8 Pro. I'm curious to see how the two phone stack up.
Samsung is offering £600 for trading, I have a S23 ultra 512GB , not willing to pay extra £600 ...so 50% more money for 10% improvement? Maybe , but the improvement is more like 0.9% and the I.A features will come down to older series ..hun .." fools and horses " Thanks for the review, helped me save hundreds ❤
This video is pointless, the software of s24 series isn't finished yet and these phones ytbers have aren't the finished product, the finished product will release in the market with different software at January 31, then we can compare...
S24U 10x definitely looks a little shakey. Hope the software can make fix that. I'm sure the practicality of a 5x is more than that of the 10x but i would hate to see regression.
As an S23 Ultra owner I have to be honest here and say that the increased flexibility and 50Mp sensor on the new 5x zoom system are useful, and in no way should it be looked upon as a big step backwards. Samsung calls it's 10x zoom preset on the 24U Optical Quality Zoom, but it is still a a hybrid zoom. And 10x optical zoom will always have advantages over 10x hybrid.
The stabilization is better in s23u. Look at 1:34 and 2:10, how badly s24u is shaking in the 10x and 10x+ zoom range. Everyone saying s24u is killing. But It's basically an s23u with some google ai feature from pixel and a slight performance boost, at least for what I am seeing now. It seems even less of an upgrade than iPhone 15pm.
if anyone else see artifacts or glitchs like at 04:09 it's not your pc, you can verify it putting on the 0.25 speed and you can stop at that exact moment, i think it might be youtube because i see it in various videos btw very good comparison
Good comparison, but this needs to be done again when the S23 Ultra receives One 6.1 and its with the same software as the S24 Ultra. I am sure that 99% of the differwnces will then dissapear.
Thanks for the video: I have a question: How have you found the signal strength for the S24U, compared to other phones, if you had a chance to test it?
S24u must be called s23 ultra+. The only upgrade is the 5x camera sensor and new snapdragon processor. That's great but in my opinion that is not sufficient to name it as new version. I know the new snapdragon has 43% better NPU but s23u has a powerful processor, so it can receive the IA features via software update.
Huh? New SoC is the only indication that a product should be given a new numbered series 😂 new SoC = new socket, new modem, new gpu, new ram & storage capabilities, new camera ISP, new NPU, etc. Now, crapple gave a similar processor (a16) from the previous version and called it new.
@@brosplit tell me, has any game, application or something that consumes these things you described? I only appointed the NPU because is one thing can make some difference in the using of IA.
@@eduardoromao you have weird argument. Do you want a new series using old processors? Also AI is post processing (which also needs a good new NPU), do you want mere post processed photos or actual good dedicated ISP to take pictures? So you want an old release of SoC, old camera hw with good AI in a new series? 😂
@@brosplit you didn't get my point. We have 10 month new version with less new features and upgrades. What I'm saying is the name of this version should be s23u+ because the upgrade didn't significant. Like in the past with the IPhones 4, 4s, 5, 5s... The difference in performance isn't significant because we don't have any app or game that use all the power. The upgrade between the cameras don't be significant like the video show us. The only thing is the introduction of the IA and this is possible in any phone with the minimum hardware requirements. In this case, snapdragon 8 gen 2 is very competent handle AI without any problem. In this specific point (for AI) the new snapdragon has 41 or 43% more performance in NPU. But what is the real difference in AI operations? 1 second more? 10 second more? I really don't know...
Great comparison. Was planning to buy the S24 Ultra, but won't do that after seeing the latest videos. There's hardly any improvement over the S23, and I couldn't care less about the gimicky AI stuff. S23 owners can relax :)
One more question: have you noticed the shutter lag being improved with the new s24u ? The s23u struggles a lot in low light to take pictures of moving objects (animals, kids etc). Cheers!
Excellent contrast video... which has persuaded me to stick with the S23 Ultra for another year! I nearly pulled the trigger as Samsung is offering a £600 trade in AND a double memory offer, but even with that it's not quite worth the move. Looking forward to the S25 Ultra!
Nothing changes :))) 10x zoom at S23U better than 10x crop from 5x on S24U and i dont have any reason to upgrade, 2600 nits brightness? I dont think so. I think S23U enough for me.
Samsung have solve some problems with the s24 but give birth some new problems the s23 ultra high lights are more maintained well and the colors also in some cenarious
You think is worth the change from S23 U to S24 U taking in consideration that my s23 u is 256gb and the switch to the 1tb s24 u is just 449 taxes included? I got educ discount, bundle discount, promotional discount, certificate discount, and other stuff
When you zoom on 10x or above the S23 Ultra is clear winner, especially the beach. The ML doesn't know what to do wit those pixels and is simply trying to multiply them randomly which leads to water painting effect. Awful. However, the microphones on the S24IU are much better. Better even than the iPhone 15 pro max... wow!
Hi Chris, need your help. Whatever you recommend I will buy. I'm stuck between the oppo x7 ultra and the vivo x100 pro, which one would you recommend please?
My only reason to upgrade from my s23 ultra is for the flat display and because I know if I keep this phone for another year it will sell for basically nothing. That's the main reaon I upgraded each year is because it only ends up costing about $600 AUD after selling my previous phone.
What setup do I need to achieve better results with my S24 Ultra? When capturing photos of moving objects, I've noticed they often turn out blurry. How can I address this?
Man, you're fast with these comparisons. Firstly, that 10x optical lens does perform slightly better in daylight in some cases. And I don't know why but these latest Android flagships still blow out the highlights in low-light videos.... especially inside windows, or of street lamps, decoration lights etc unless we get pretty close and then it's optimized. Iphones have been doing HDR way better in low-light videos for ages now. Nonetheless, S24U will get substantially better after updates... typical of Samsung. Cheers 🥂
Pre-ordered S24 Ultra. I hope they could tweak some changes in the next update. One UI 6.1 is good yet too early because of the camera performance because of the 50MP Telephoto Lens.
Samsung is adopting a strategy similar to Apple's, where the pace of innovation is currently quite measured. In order to market a new phone annually, the company subtly influences consumer choices by introducing minor enhancements in each model. Each subsequent release offers marginal improvements, leaving it up to the consumer to decide whether to upgrade their phone every year, biennially, or perhaps every five years. The S24 Ultra is a commendable contemporary smartphone; consider purchasing it if it's within your budget.
S23 Ultra definately has a better zoom. S24 Ultra looks oversharpened and more like a painting. What a downgrade. It turns out you can't replace true 10x optical zoom with software.
Hi. I have S23U, and my complain is that when I record 4k video, the colors look oversaturated. Would you confirm if colors are more natural when recording video with S24U?
The 100x zoom with sailboat is not a good comparison since the sail was clearly blurred. Otherwise a good video and I appreciate the time you took to compare the two phones.
The only way to watch those "influencers" is if you mute them and skip every-time they feel the urge to show there faces. Otherwise my brain would go nuts with those clowns...
if you would have to decide between the S23 Ultra and the S24 Ultra which would you buy? Currently i run an old samsung but i need to upgrade. Camera quality is the only thing which matters for me, since im a content creator.
2:26 Look at the ground. s23 ultra is clearly better. 3:11 look at the granite wall in front of the lady legs, s23 ultra clearly has more details. 4:35 s23 has more noise but look at the beak it also has more details thanks to being less smoothed out. I like grass on s24 ultra more tho. 6:15 theres a light bleeding on s24 ultra from light in the top right corner in s23ultra camera is pointed more to the left so it doesnt have this issue. This part of the test is useless. 7:12 s24 ultra looks over processed.
Great comparison Chris, im still analysing the footage but on first glance the s24 seems inferior in the 10x zoom despite the marketing nonsense. @2:00 if you freeze frame and analyse it the quality and resolution appears better on the s23u. Also on video the s24 has very bad micro jutter @1:41 which appears to be ois related.
5:55 This shot looks so badly processed by both phones. The 30x zoom isn't this bad when zooming in, especially on the S23 Ultra. Something went wrong with the conditions or you cropped the photo from the 30x original. Also this review is slightly biased towards the S24 Ultra. Objectively, not all results are as you describe them. 6:42 The iron rooflines are better visible on the S23 Ultra. Although not fully, they are much more that on the S24. 6:20 The horizontal lines are again better on the S23 Ultra although the color distortion at light/dark edges on the S23 Ultra is slightly worse. 2:00 Lastly with the seagulls 10x video, we can clearly see that the S23 Ultra manages to capture the detail of the sand, the debris and the seagulls while the s24 Ultra looks over-sharpened possibly to compensate for the lack of detail. The sensor crop doesn't always work that well in video mode. But I know there are many optimizations still to be done on the S24 Ultra and I believe it will improve in the coming months.💪 Good job on the comparison footage though, it was really useful!
I have S23ultra. After seeing this comparison, I can satisfy myself that, I do not need to upgrade S24ultra.

Amen, Brother
I don't see any reason to upgrade my S23U. There is not that much difference to upgrade. Probably the IA functions also will come to the S23U so it will still getting better and better🥰 Very good review👍
Independent adjuster moment
Remember that on Samsungs fine print, they mention that the will be charging a fee for the use of their AI sometime in 2025
Same here. Even considering that the AI features or Galaxy AI that is currently exclusive to s24 U will be coming to our devices sometime next quarter. I even advised my brother to buy a brand new s23 ultra as his android device as it is disgustingly cheap at the moment.
Won't come if the feature is hardware based but the cloud based one will come
S23 is way better than 24!!!!!.. not even Close! Disappointed.
I'm a Samsung fan, but I think that today, we have to admit that Samsung is really purposely staying in excessive oversaturation and unnecessary overexposure in photo-video 🤦🏽♂️
Samsung should genuinely think about adding a realistic color profile to its photo app for photography, or allowing users to have something like the ''Photographic Style'' of iPhones, to allow us Galaxy users who can't stand oversaturation and excessive overexposure to adjust that.
Ps: don't tell me about the Pro mode (I've known and used it for years), I ask to have this in automatic mode, not everyone is (certainly not) a professional photographer, but would like to have the possibility to make some quick adjustments to their liking.
Finally a sensible Android fan🙌🏼
Well put, agreed on all points.
With S23U after all the updates, I still take photos with Expert Raw and edit in Lightroom. Sad, but with the AI era this procedure should belong to museum and history.
S24 feels more like an Software Update which bright more AI features , except the built, rather than an actual upgrade
I would also want to put the sharpening a bit less aggressive
@JKS-qw6fd you only think he's sensible because he says what you believe
Disappointed that Sammy STILL hasn't tamed that 200MP sensor
Tamed as in take advantage of it? If u mean for them to stop doing it you're our luck. Samsung is trying to go higher every few models untill we reach a 600MP camera.
I love the idea but don't like Samsung not utilizing the 200mp since last year. Will do tests this year with the new S24 Ultra.

No problem!
I actually like the curved display on the S23u vs. S24u flat. It's like a modern "infinity pool" looking effect.
Flat display is cheaper in production
@@BaSiC47and stronger
Flat is better. You can buy a curved led tv or something but on a Mobile Phone i think dont need it. Sorry for my english
It's funny, I hate the curved display. The Note 20 and S23 Ultra are the only screens that ever broke on ne and it wad from drops of about 6 inches with screen protectors and cases.
@@rarelyaccurate6252 My iPhone SE with flat screen broke while my S21 Ultra with curved screen is fine. Does it make curved better?
I will say that when I heard that Samsung was dropping the 10x camera, I had kind of written this phone off, but I'm glad to see that the 10x shots with the 5x camera are at least comparable. Still, I have concerns at the more extreme ranges. On my S22 Ultra, I often zoomed into shots of wildlife because I couldn't get close and at 20x and 30x, those shots were still useable.
This is what I was worried about too. How's the low-light photos/videos on the 10x lens?
It's a 50MP vs the meager 10MP. There's nothing to worry about.
now THIS is what we've been waiting for!
I don't agree with most of your conclusions though, in most cases I prefer S23U, which is quite a good news for the budget.
Only concrete difference is reduced sharpening, but an average user might even prefer sharpening.
Overshapening is bad and it can ruin a photo in a lot of ways
@@ChillGuy_1-e7ymy grandma has an s24 and the kack of oversharpening makes 8k videos look soft. Like 1080p. Sad.
@@enid9911 overshapening is bad and saying lack of over sharpening is dumb and idiotic just say the lack of sharpening not over as over is a problem
Yes it should improve notably as Samsung camera based improvement updates are normally very good indeed.

For me s23 performs better in every field compared to s24
Samsung really needs to implement some jardware changes next year.
I mean it makes sense that they want to use economies of scale and milk last years technology.
But seeing how most phone companies go for larger sensors its safe to say that both the main and wide-angle lens are in need for an overhaul (and not some Software update that never comes!).
I like the curved screen on my s23, never had a problem with accident presses or content distortion. Looks unique and futuristic to me
Some people are hoping for software updates to improve the 24U.
About 7:15. You can do additional stabilization in the editor. But you can't get new details in the editor.
The S24 trio is a worthy upgrade for S22 users but not S23 users

It will still be almost the same experience, just wait for something really new, mby s25u will bring that.
S23 Ultra hadn't been oversharpening pics like that until some update came and bumped up the sharpening algorithms. Not the one to spread conspiracy theories but it doesn't feel like an accidental choice by Samsung
Nice review. They already communicated that a update will follow next week.
In a few weeks, S24U will be so much better , i can't wait 😆 i tested it yesterday, and it was so much better than my S22U!
My thoughts exactly.
im happy with my S23 Ultra, there is nothing big to upgrade to S24 ultra 😂
Why would you even consider upgrading one year after? Makes no sense 😆
would any of this change with software updates on the s24 side?
I think that updating the cameras in the S24 Ultra, like the iPhone 14 Pro, had many problems and its performance was the same as the previous generation 13 Pro, but with the 15 Pro it changed dramatically.
Do you expect the problems to be resolved and the cameras to improve significantly with the S25 Ultra? For me, yes, except for night photography, where Samsung was cursed for not fixing its problems with strange colors and noise.

@@flickdrumming1746what kind of depressing shit are you on
I agree with many of the comments I've seen here.
Don't make a snap decision. Watch as many reviews as you can.
Ifyou plan on keeping it a long time, the 7 year updates will make the 24 worth it
There are other great things about S24U.
Maybe , but the improvement is more like 0.9% and the I.A features will come down to older series ..hun .." fools and horses "
Thanks for the review, helped me save hundreds ❤
This video is pointless, the software of s24 series isn't finished yet and these phones ytbers have aren't the finished product, the finished product will release in the market with different software at January 31, then we can compare...
S24U 10x definitely looks a little shakey. Hope the software can make fix that. I'm sure the practicality of a 5x is more than that of the 10x but i would hate to see regression.
Yes the 10x S23U seems to have better OIS/EIS but might just need updates (which it does for all the cameras)
I really can’t tell the difference but it’s going head on to IPhone 15 Pro

if anyone else see artifacts or glitchs like at 04:09 it's not your pc, you can verify it putting on the 0.25 speed and you can stop at that exact moment, i think it might be youtube because i see it in various videos
btw very good comparison
Good comparison, but this needs to be done again when the S23 Ultra receives One 6.1 and its with the same software as the S24 Ultra. I am sure that 99% of the differwnces will then dissapear.
The difference disappear or not?
Thanks for the video: I have a question: How have you found the signal strength for the S24U, compared to other phones, if you had a chance to test it?
I don’t see a big upgrade with s23 ultra… a bit disappointed by all those new camera phone…
Main difference is probably the sharpening algorithm, minor improvement in tele and tiny improvement in low light.
You can easily switch off sharpening in camera assistant settings, change it to medium, and will be the same like in s24u
Indeed, we have to wait another generation to get another leap in performance like the 200mp camera from the S23. Which is still awesome

You can't really, only to to have the best lighting possible otherwise we need a firmware update from them.

Maybe the HDR switch is on
The 100x zoom with sailboat is not a good comparison since the sail was clearly blurred. Otherwise a good video and I appreciate the time you took to compare the two phones.
Thanks for the comparison. How's the shutter speed?
Please add camera responsive performance comparison in future. What needs to be improved is how slow the camera responses.
The only way to watch those "influencers" is if you mute them and skip every-time they feel the urge to show there faces. Otherwise my brain would go nuts with those clowns...

But I know there are many optimizations still to be done on the S24 Ultra and I believe it will improve in the coming months.💪
Good job on the comparison footage though, it was really useful!
S24 have worse DR than S23 in night shots
