One day my wife and I were driving somewhere and this song came on from my Ipod. She asked me this was and I said Gary Moore. After the song was done I noticed she was crying. I asked what was wrong and she said "The song is so beautiful". We would drive from the Boston area to Northern Michigan twice a year and if this song came on the "random'" playlist she would repeat. Often she would skip random and just play it twice. I always love the song as one with great guitar playing. My wife passed almost 3 years ago and I just now really listened to the lyrics. When I was younger, I learned to play this song. While I could play the notes as they were supposed to, I could never make my guitar cry like that. Between his voice and the voice he gave the guitar, this song is legendary. I never get tired of hearing this song, 35 years later.
@@CalJennings There's a lot of things that just didn't come my way either when I was younger. Luckily my godfather was a studio guitarist for some big bands in the day, and he knew about him and his talents. I got lucky to hear this back then.

Молодежь в шоке, что такое возможно исполнить. Они привыкли к попсовым песням, что проталкивают, то и слушают. Благодарна, что есть ютуб, где можно послушать шедевры!!!!!!
A musical genius who puts his soul in this song...I wish I could have seen him perform live
Many guitar players want to play fast all the time however here he mixed playing fast with feeling at the right measure... just perfect
Calebe Priester perfect to be exact
Agree completely !
This is the song that I go to when I miss my late husband
Lillye Spooner...So you've got so many memories from him...!
my late Husban favorite song
In August 2022.. this song is still One of the best songs ever...amazing
The Proof that what is GOOD in the 70's/80's is GREAT FOREVER
Amen brother-the 60's weren't bad either and real music is timeless. Just saw Santana 2 weeks ago live outdoors with Earth, Wind, and Fire openming up and it was like getting into the wayback machine. Rock On!
definitely, a god of guitar
🙌
This was released in 1990!
93 Million Views!!! Long Live Gary Moore!!!!!!!!
One of the most mesmerizing songs I have ever heard in my life. That guitar sweeps me away into another dimension....
When I was younger, I learned to play this song. While I could play the notes as they were supposed to, I could never make my guitar cry like that. Between his voice and the voice he gave the guitar, this song is legendary. I never get tired of hearing this song, 35 years later.
Learn the techniques... and then let your heart flow from you into the guitar. It will eventually come.
👌❤️
I just stumbled on this about a week ago and wonder why I never heard of him. He was far better than a lot of the crap they were pushing.
@@CalJennings There's a lot of things that just didn't come my way either when I was younger. Luckily my godfather was a studio guitarist for some big bands in the day, and he knew about him and his talents. I got lucky to hear this back then.
@@jasonc212 I wish I had been able to go to one of his concerts.
11000 dislikes ? Really ?
This is pure mastery, perfection, feeling, sadness. Tones out of this world.
I could not understand that either. This song is so heart felt to perfection.
Agree 100%
Some people's kid's, beats all the crap youth listen to nowadays! Noise isn't talent or music! This is unforgettable!
I also commented about the number of dislikes. I just don't get it. I could understand 1 or 2 as we always see idiots on you tube, but 11k ?????
How could anyone in their right mind not enjoy and like this . It is beautiful and so heart felt. Fantastic playing , singing is great and the song is beautiful. If you don't nearly have tears in your eyes you are cold hearted with no feelings or life experiences!
That tone!
What a legend 🙏
This used to be considered real talent and actually gotten praise and look at us now with our baby I am worth it plastic and heartless songs getting the praise. We need to go back to these standards people!
Music will never be same as it was back in the 80's. Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift are now the " talented people". Really sad.
AGREED,
+AAD We need to invent a time machine, so we can go back and visit these epic shows! Pink Floyd is another band i would kill to see live.
agreed mate agreeed
+AAD You know, there are only so many great ones in any generation, but there are always plenty of shallow commercial hacks. I'm thankful whenever I find one, from whenever they came, and I'm still looking for more. They're out there somewhere.
Who said less is more?! Gary is Moore!!
Well said. Nothing Moore left to say.
@@roberthijar4793 bruh
No one ever. Yes.
Yeahh.. Nothing LESS and MOORE to say now... Huh...
There is nothing Moore to say
That guitar tone is perfection. The song is perfection. Gary Moore is perfection.
Thats Greeny for you, Peter Green's out of phase Lespauls
@@SAPhoenixat I know! I actually congratulated Kirk Hammett on his acquisition of Greeny after a surf session in Hawaii.
@@SAPhoenixatthis isn't greeny though, it's his other guitar called stripe. U can tell by the guitar not having pickup covers
Помимо прекрасной игры на гитаре, он прекрасный певец,,, браво👏👏👏
"Still Got The Blues (For You)"
Used to be so easy to give my heart away
But I found out the hard way
There's a price you have to pay
I found out that love was no friend of mine
I should have known time after time
So long, it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
Used to be so easy to fall in love again
But I found out the hard way
It's a road that leads to pain
I found that love was more than just a game
You're playin' to win
But you lose just the same
So long, it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
So many years since I've seen your face
Here in my heart, there's an empty space
Where you used to be
So long, it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
Though the days come and go
There is one thing I know
I've still got the blues for you.
Thanks brother
Sensacional Song.... the best blues.... great Gary Moore
Linda música. Foi trilha sonora de uma novela da Globo, e assisti o clipe em um DVD do Good Times.
Agora Gary Moore está nos braços de Deus
Right on! RIP. Sorely missed from here
Thanks you
Cry guitar, cry... What A solo
Gary more
Tears of the blues.. No man can do this. Only good and that's Gary for you
Если ты не плачешь под эту песню, просто у тебя нету сердца - сердца которое подарил нам Гарри❤
I'm fascinated with his guitar playing, such beautiful solos!❤
The guitar playing is legendary and he’s vocals are amazingly beautiful
A perfect mix of both
A Philipe ribot
he plays the gittar better than 99% of the famous guitarrists of the world
@@gilgameshhawhaw2651 definitely top of the crop!!! I’m hooked on this muscian! Wow. How did I miss his music??? Killer all the way. Luv this so f*cking much. Legendary! ❤️👍🔥🦊🇺🇸🧨🎶
yep definitely underrated as a singer, got a great set of pipes
Absolutely gorgeous. The guitar cries, broken hearted and in love. The blues.

Blues pur. I love it
My heart is crazy diamond pink Floyd
His guitar crying 😢
Ни одного дня не могу пропустить, хочу его слушать хотя бы 1 раз в день,потрясающе!!!
His guitar is crying. ❤️
And us.
Every night it weeps to be pried out of Kirk Hammett dirty paws and be buried with its master Gary, that prick needs to give it back
them guitar now is property of kirk hammett!! damn!!
Yo guys dont be so salty kirk is alright
@@joshmuz9018 at least it ended up with someone who actually plays it and not some rich collector who just puts it on display. I wish it found its way back to Peter Green - as well as his sanity.
One of my fav songs.....and the guitar solo is legendary
u love anathema and gary too :') why cant i find people that have the same taste as u :'))
bravo un bonus x te e famiglia non piangere e dai? !
im sorry but his guitar solo is NOT original. there is a chinese pop song that came out 5 years before this song was released with the exact same melody as the song and solo
+Shu Gao shut up. .
Fuck off
I first heard of Gary Moore about two weeks ago and I've been listening to this and several others on repeat. Don't think I've heard a better guitarist in my 70+ years. Mr. Moore deserves his place as one of the greatest guitarists in history, along with Hendrix, Page, Gilmore and Clapton.
Not only can he play guitar, he is a fantastic singer too!
RIP Gary Moore
👏🎸Amazing!. Perfect solo.
One of the best ballads ever...
??? this is a ballad?...jeezas dude!!
Exactly :)

This is the very best guitar solo I have ever heard, it doesn’t get any better then I still got the blues.
To me they'll never be a player who can do this song like Gary, God bless you mate.
No one has ever sung with a guitar like Gary Moore. Ever.
Absolute musical greatness, that any musician of any background should be able to recognize.
Yep
alib ba ta
David Gilmour
Early James Hetfield absolutely ripping it up perfectly while also singing comes pretty fkn close
Yes they have.....Stevie Ray Vaughan
If Tears could sing, it would sound like this . . . . . .
Like SRV or BB King. Loved Albert King too.
@ Always.
I like too much it
Sweet memories
its so bad
No one can make songs like this today 😢
Will wait and see
It's a timeless masterpiece!
