This is part 2 of my "Man of Steel" fan sequel to Superman Returns. Keeping in tone with part 1 The Death of Superman, the dialogue is minimal as I am trying to tell the story through images and music almost like a "silent movie".
In this quick chapter, I wanted to dramatically slow down the pace and focus on people close to Superman while experiencing the funeral from their POV. I wanted to separate this from other massive scale funeral vids with tons of cameos by keeping it smaller and more intimate. I also wanted to touch on the relationships between the core three members of the Justice League because in my vision, although they are friends, the Justice League has not been formed yet. Unknowingly, this is the moment that truly brings them together and it begins with Batman and Wonder Woman in their quest to avenge Superman's death.
I am fully aware that there is a huge logical problem by having a funeral while Doomsday is still on the loose. Yes, common sense would dictate that Batman and Wonder Woman immediately attack Doomsday, and Metropolis postpone a funeral for a later time. And yes... that was initially going to the next video. However I felt it was necessary to slow it down for the second act, have the characters pay their respect, and add some emotional drama before escalating to all out action in part 3. So I'm hoping it's something that can be overlooked for the sake of entertainment as we move forward to the finale. And I'm hoping to make the finale as epic as possible! I'm coming up with ideas at this very moment and it's just a matter of making it work, so stay tuned!

Kate Beckinsale - one of the most Lois-looking Lois Lane's, who never actually played Lois Lane on screen.
One of the most beautifully accurate portrayals of the Clark-Lois chemistry - between actors who never filmed together.
After all these years it's still magic to watch this.

THANKS EVERYBODY! I'm glad this was well received! I was afraid that we'd all come to expect all out action with every fan edit. It's good to see that we all can appreciate the dramatic side of things once in a while, I think it rounds out a story! To answer a few questions:

For those asking, I haven't even started the pre-visualization draft work on PART 3 yet. Putting these together is extremely time consuming, so at the very earliest it would be sometime late next year when PART 3 is ready.

I REALLY hope the Batman and Superman movie coming out focuses more on the FRIENDSHIP of Batman and Superman. I'm really worried that they're going to make it mostly a versus movie where they don't like each other at all for some dumb reason.

Their usage is very minimal, but in the grand scheme it was really important to have those elements!

Running time for part three is about 12minutes. Feels like a long 12minutes when I watch the draft though. No cliffhanger, it will be a true ending to this little fan made trilogy. Later on I'll try to put all three parts together, integrating the coda scenes and interludes into one long vid almost like a directors cut!
Another bang up job, brotha! Seriously! And to all the haters... I'd really, really like to see you do a better job! This guy has taken his free time and without millions of dollars, made something that is really quite stunning and worth watching. Your worst critique is that he used the sound effect from a Star Wars speeder bike?!?! FAIL?!?! Really?! I give him props for being creative enough to even think of that! Eff all the haters, Kash! Keep up the good goddamn work! It's stellar!
@nickzambuto I won't rule out an after credits cameo or something, but Green Lantern won't be helping in the fight against Doomsday, sorry! This origin story is about the Big 3 for now. Maybe i'll make more videos in the future with other JLA members, but he's not in their circle just yet
@manineedadeadoctopus No, I completely replaced her face with Kate Beckinsale's. I'm sure you can find a clip of the original here on youtube. If you do, you'll notice that Bosworth was actually talking during this very scene, I replaced her face with one of Beckinsale just looking at Superman lovingly, no lip movement
One of the most touching sequences I've ever seen in fan creation. I loved all of the memories you gave Bruce, Diana and Lois for Supes. Had this been in the cinema I doubt there'd be a dry eye in the house, well done!
@sdprazak LOL thanks! I actually just showed the incomplete draft to someone and they loved it. its already at 12minutes in length, and it's going to be an EPIC amount of work for me. I just need some footage of the avengers to flesh things out. So with the editing work and wait time, it won't be until late next year before it's complete. more trailers on the way though!

@MegaDarktor Who implied or said anything about Batman "taking care of things better than Superman"? You haven't seen the finale I'm creating, so your comment is uninformed. FYI Wonder Woman plays a bigger role in the finale, because I want her to.
And if you think this is "all for naught" because you want Reeve to get the memorial treatment, then make a video doing that. I'll be happy to watch it. Why come here and bash because I'm telling a story the way I want it to be told?
Dude you freakin inspired me. This is exactly why I write screenplays & graphic novels. Because the people in charge don't have a clue. Stories like the one you told are what people want to see.

@spidermanforever1 Yea that was just an artifact from the original clip, unintended coincidence. While I did throw in a Green Lantern easter egg during the scene where Wonder Woman was watching the screens, I'm solely focusing on Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman and their arc throughout the story.
Dude, can't wait for the last video! I still remember when you first uploaded Superman vs Doomsday way back when... Still get chills when I watch it! I hope the new film gives us some really amazing fight sequences like you do.

There is a fine line between bringing the story to the screen, and oftentimes those who are charged with making it happen are not themselves fans of the story

i love this series of shorts, i cant believe you have accomplished so much with just clips from the movies and editing. how did the director of superman returns fail so badly where you succeeded so great. i loved this especially the end, such an adrenaline boost
This movie made me bring tears and feel very srry for Louis, Diana, and Bruce. They lost a really good friend and protector to a monster, who has nothing else to do better than bring detruction to Superman and Earth. I hope superman comes back to help Wonderwoman and Batman bring down this Monstracity.

yes, so far i've only used the scene of Batman backing up from Bane as he comes towards him, not sure I'll need anything else from TDKR other than that because I've finished editing the Batman scenes

Thanks very much! The Wonder Woman scenes were made in After Effects using Rhona Mitra from Nip/Tuck and Stolen. The coffin was also composited in After Effects using clips from Watchmen

Wish Hollywood would do these kind of movies, instead of churning out crap like GhostRider and Green Lantern! My favorite part was when Bruce was remembering meeting Clark, that was just so awesome!

This is a masterpiece! Everything about this is perfect and pulls at the heart strings as Supermans funeral should do. Great job on the coffin and the shot of Lex looking to the sky. Sorry Lex Superman isn't coming this time. All the FX are amazing though and wow!, WonderWoman, the tiara was spot on.
@jnbrown62 Nah you're not reading too much into it, because that's something I would've totally done to tease at Green Lantern. BUT I can't take credit for it, it was just a coincidence that was in the original clip. Green Lantern won't be in the finale, just the main 3

Love the small touches, like the mention that Booster Gold took on Doomsday that runs across the screen (which to me was an important moment in Superman and Booster's relationship...Clark even stated later that Booster was the one that stood between Doomsday and Supes)

In the comics Lex Luthor was furious that Doomsday robbed his chance of killing him. That’s why he created Conner Kent or Kon El so that he would have a Superman to battle.

I was amazed after part I, now my mouth is on the floor. Loved Rhona Mitra as Wonder Woman. I saw a 3 second clip of the coffin with the S Shield in a documentary or something last year and have been looking for the source since. My hat's off to you. Well done.

@TDIfurever It's not easily noticed, but at 1:51 the upper left corner of the city skyline is actually a still frame of the Metropolis skyline. I removed the night sky from Gotham and replaced it with a gloomy Metropolis to give the feel that Batman was at the funeral, but in the shadows
Whether or not WW and BM can defeat Doomsday won't stop them from trying to avenge the loss of their friend! Gotta wait and see what happens ;)

I agree with Skybaby... This is the way these films should be done, with total buildup of action, drama, and suspense. By simply putting together footage from films already made, this artist-yes this person's an ARTIST-has done what is tantamount to ripping the lid off Hollywood writers/directors. They are shaming the public's trust in how their characters will be treated onscreen. There's definitely a place in Tinseltown for him.

Actually depending upon what story line, time line or alternate universe you adhere to, Superman and Wonder Woman actually did get together and had a child together which they named Bruce (after Bruce Wayne).
Great !!!!!!!!!!!!!! This pulled at the heart strings man! Let's face it this is the only way we will see these icons together.

Just rewatching it once again! This is some of the best if not the best work done on Superman in live action.
Where you have the funeral scene was great! Now, Batman and Wonderwoman get to reflect on their memories of Superman, and get their fighting attitude on. I loved Batmans quote that IT ENDS HERE!!!!!!!!!
I have to say that these "videos", if they can even be called that, are truly exceptional. I mean, WOW!. I'm such a hugh superhero movie geek and unlike the critics, I actually thought Superman Returns was a GREAT movie! The way the clips are seemlessly put together is truly amazing. DC needs to take a note from you. Again, AWESOME WORK!. Even though I know these aren't part of any real movie, my heart raced at the sight of Batman and Wonder Woman upon hearing that Superman was dead. WOW!
Wow, your ability to bring these clips together seamlessly is just incredible. And once again, it gave me chills at the end. I was taken by the first short film, and thought I would have my expectations too high for this one with all that action from the first, but man did you surprise me again. Beautiful addition to your series!

I just sthmbked across and whike I agree doomsday looks rough around the edges, keep in mind that there are HOLLYWOOD MOVIES with worse cgi than this doomsday. This part made me cry especially when we see batman.... Superman was his best friend so you gotta imagine the pain he whent through. The fight it's self last part was amazing. Doomsday was brutal twoards supes, but what suprized me is unlike in the animate S Ddayand the comics he survived. Again guys, just enjoy this for what it is. I was a film major in college for three years and I know how long this must have taken, so please...

This is incredibly ambitious. I used to make fan trailers and I thought those were time consuming. I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into this. All of the clips you need to choose, finding ones that match, compositing them together, and in many cases enhancing them with CGI? Just impressive. Your Doomsday effects are really convincing over the Hulk. Very cool.

From what I've seen, yes. because in the first video at the end, Bruce is calling Diana Prince who is Woman Woman. The picture of Diana Prince was Kate Beckinsale. So far, I have not seen who has played Lois or if Lois is even in these.
