      She sure is, I'm sure wherever she is, I'm sure she's proud of her younger self, because God only knows what might've happen to her mom, I hope that "Beep" should burn in hell for what he had done, If My Husband was being mean to me, I would throw him out of the house, and throw a trash bag full of his clothes, shoes, socks, under-wear, etc, etc. out too, I would file for a Divorce and get sole custody of the kids, He won't be able to see them, He won't be allowed to call them on the telephone or see them around the Holidays too.

    To this day this episode breaks my heart. These men, this type that looks at women as property, it disgusts me. My husband used to pull that crap, he was very controlling, I nipped that quick, there were long conversations about what he was doing how his behavior was affecting me and how it made him look and how it was ruining his spirit, my spirit, and that it was not ok and I had no problems picking up the phone and getting his mother on the line. He needed to figure out why he was acting like that because that's not something I could fix. It was like a light went off, and he finally got it, its been about 5 years since that nonsense, I'm very proud of him for having the ability to simply listen to what I had to say, and think about it. And I'm proud of him for getting his confidence back up. Most men like this guy here, they won't change, but sometimes there's reasons for the behaviors and if you catch it before it gets violent these young men can get themselves back.

    It's calls like this that are the reason why I could never work as a 9-1-1 operator. Awhile back; my sister suggested that I should apply for a job as a 9-1-1 operator, so I listened to a few well-known 9-1-1 calls in order to get a better understanding of what questions to ask the caller in order to send the right help. One of the calls I listened to was the 9-1-1 call placed from the library of Columbine High School during the shooting there on April 20th, 1999. The call was placed by teacher Patti Nielsen and answered by dispatcher Renee Napoli at 11:24 AM Mountain Time. Even though she was in a state of extreme panic; Patti Nielsen was able to give as much information as she could about the shooters, where she was at in the school, and that she had managed to get the students in the library to hide under the tables. Many people wonder why Patti didn't try to shut and lock the doors to the library or even order the students in the library to evacuate. There were two emergency exit doors in the library; one that lead downstairs to the cafeteria and the other leading out to the sidewalk by the school's west entrance. Because there were two students who committed the massacre; Patti reasonably assumed that the shooters would ambush the students the moment they either came downstairs from the library into the cafeteria or came out to the sidewalk. If she tried to shut and lock the doors to the library; the shooters would have tried to blow the doors down using the explosives they were carrying with them as they were already in the library hallway. I also listened to emergency services radio traffic from the EF5 tornado that devastated Joplin, Missouri on May 22nd, 2011 and I can honestly say that it was Hell on Earth for the residents of Joplin after the tornado dissipated. Initially, the dispatchers were not concerned about a tornado warning being issued as they sent out this message: "Units, National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for western Jasper County until 18 00 hours. National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a tornado ten miles west of Carl Junction or six miles east of Columbus; moving to the east at thirty miles per hour. National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated that this storm has a history of producing funnel clouds and tennis ball sized hail; time of dispatch, 17 13

    I'm training to become an EMS helicopter pilot and want to start an air ambulance service and this is a call I never want to get. This is a nightmare of a call.
    It's so bad I couldn't even do a simulation of a call like this on a flight training device it's so emotional. If I got a call like this I would either refuse to fly it and have another, less emotional pilot fly this patient or if I had to fly this kind of call I would probably retire and never fly again. I'd be done indefinitely and have my air ambulance service named in the patient's name with a placque.
    I would need therapy for the rest of my life. I would be done flying forever unless it was recreational.
    Good job and cordial thanks to Med Center Air Helicopter who flew her and I bet they needed counseling too. Honestly I bet everyone who responded to this horrible call from hell had to go through counseling for a long time and I bet they're still getting counseling services today and will for the rest of their lives. I know I would need counseling for the rest of my life, even though I would only have been the pilot flying the helicopter.

    Brianna "Bria" Jasmine Miller

    We had a call where the woman died in front of her kids of the same age. And she wasn't even with the guy anymore. He had to force entry into her house, which is a felony, then stabbed her and she died from it. In the state I live in that qualifies the person for capital punishment but only one person has actually been executed for it. He committed a robbery, left the store and returned to stab the cashier bc he "wanted to see what it's like to kill a person."
    He had some gd nerve to feel sorry for himself before he was executed. He acted like the state had done him a giant disservice, even though everyone in this state paid for 19 years so he could lay his butt up in prison. while abusing his victim's family. Making threats to all the different family members bc they wanted him to actually be executed.
    I don't know how they make everyone think THEY'RE the victims. I think it'S BS.

    If I was in Angela's situation the first thing I would do after returning from the police station is pack my things, pack the kids' things, and get the heck out of there, because I would never be sure of when he would return (and it's always a matter of when with people like him) -- only that he would return angry. After that I'm not sure what I would do. My only priority would be to get myself and my kids the heck AWAY from that house.
    But enough speculation. I'm just devastated that these kids witnessed something so terrible. I've witnessed domestic abuse against my mom (by my brother, not my dad) but never something this brutal. Under the circumstances Christina carried herself quite well.

      @hellekimery9537 6 лет назад +1

      TheColorHopeIsBlue sorry, I see what you mean, BEFORE the attack ! Well, having had an ex, that had danger written all over him ? It's not as easy as you think. Not everyone has the financial means to , pack and leave ! They wait for the next paycheck just to have enough for a hotel room for a few nights 😡 ? Some, ( like myself) - had no family, even in the country to get help from ? My husband had frozen all financial means , credit cards, bank accounts, - everything ! When I did get away? He found us very quickly, as he has rights to see the kids etc.
      Life for abused women, is so much more complex than people realize! Don't forget - you don't think a husband who is a nutcase and thinks he owns you? Has not thought about you escaping ? That's the first thing many of them think of - believe me! I was packed early one morning, he lived elsewhere, my 4 kids all ready for an ' adventure's - only to find my car psssssst gone - he simply had it towed ! Everything is marital property lady, till you are divorced ! He has a right to EVERYTHING
      So don't tell me, what you would have done in her situation ? I know, if she COULD ? She would not have lived where he had such easy access ! It's not a choice 90 % of the time !! Remember that

    • @TheColorHopeIsBlue
      @TheColorHopeIsBlue 3 года назад

      I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make it seem like leaving would be easy. I know it’s more complicated than it looks. It’s just I’ve had it drilled into my head that if I ever find myself in this situation, my only priority would be to get out as soon as possible. That’s all I was saying. I didn’t mean to dismiss or minimize the experiences of other domestic abuse survivors like yourself.

      In The Beginning Was The Word I know, right?! I think the same about so many of these stories. Then I figure, since they actually lived through these terrifying moments, it might be easier to re-enact what they did, and how they felt. (What takes a good actor/actress is to be able to very realistically portray something you have never experienced in real life.) But, if they have already lived through something traumatic, and know exactly how it felt, it isn't too far of a stretch, right?
