Great information. Friday I take from dealer new RS 660 Extrema. Sunday riding in mountain after a stop to make a picture quick shifter doesn't work anymore and red sign in dashboard apear. After see your video this mooring man ether procedure of stop engine in 1st gear an start it in N and I don't have any more issues. Believe or not works ok.
@@SK_XIII had tons of people message me. You know how that goes. Someone is supposed to pick it up next week. We'll see. I priced it at $11.5k which is more than fair. 1.6k miles, $2.5k+ in mods. They'll save $4k+ buying from me plus the first service fee.
@@SK_XIII I'll get another bike. This bike is awesome from riding around on. I'm 6'2" about 215 and it was hella comfortable. It just doesn't give me the pow I was looking for. It lags a bit for my liking. A little more power to compete with its class it would've been a home run. Everything else about it is 👌🏽

@@SK_XIII right now I’m gonna get the lightech plate holder, some bar end mirrors, exhaust don’t know yet, I’ve seen the mivv so far and I quite like it, but the sc project is so much better. Other smaller things like black levers etc
My RS660 been brilliant but recently I been hearing a chirping noise, especially on lower gears and when on gear. Won’t make the noise if you have the clutch on or on idle. It’s almost like a bird chirping squeaking noise. Anyone came across this ? It’s serviced and been all checked as well.
@@SK_XIII So as I was going to post on the rs660 forum, and I saw a thread of the same issue that other people had. I now found the reason why and solution. Basically these chains that come with the RS660 get dry super quick, especially with rain. Even a few days of rain will make the chain start making noise. So simple but never had this before with any other motorbikes, and I’m constantly under rain as I live in the UK. Just something to bear in mind
@@BrunoEnrique I did hear about how the chain on these rusts pretty easily with the rain/salt, especially from a lot of UK folks. Glad you found a cause though! Nothing some routine cleaning and lubing can't fix
Mine had 5500km and it was draining oil so so much, also check engine light never gone off, they would turn it of in service and it would pop on right after first ride, right before the end it was starting to shut off and few days after machine died, im lucky that i have guarantee so they fix it for free, damage was over 5000 euro, i have all videos on phone i can send it to you hah, it should arrive to me this tuesday
Because of the things i hear about the problems i think i go for an R7 .. i really really like the Aprilia best looking bike in the market but idk about those issues 🥲🙂

shit.....I just had my first aprilia RS660 accident today, lucky part is no big damage to the bike just scratches and shift-lever misshape

That's fair, but also have to look at the stats...vast majority of 660 models have been trouble free
