Did you know in asia, such as japan, thailand, indonesia and philiphine, there is zx25rr. Personally i think thats is good enough for my ears 😂. But i wonder how it can rev higher than zx4rr 😅
i got the rs660 as my 2nd bike after watching a couple videos from you and others i can not stress enough how happy i am to get off that cbr500r . this bike is a machine !!!!
I love Kawasaki, I've owned the ZX9r, ZX12r and the Z1000 (2005). In this case I'd take the RS660. It is such a wonderful looking piece of kit plus 100bhp is about right.
I agree, and I really love the ZX-4RR. The price would be fine if it had better suspension in the front, and a ZX-6R style frame, but it doesn't unfortunately. However I'd only buy a Aprilia with a valid warranty, so that if it breaks even after me taking care of it, the shop has to fix it, and not my stupid ass.
Awesome video! More ZX-4RR content! We still haven't seen a decent test drive of the ZX-4RR after the ECU flash other than that highway pull. Please make that video!
The RS 660 is actually my first bike. Purchased last year for my 25th bday. Took two MSF courses, one before buying and another with the RS. Bone stock. This bike is only as aggressive as you are. I've been keeping it easy as I learn - it's so fun to grow with the RS because there's no ceiling. Its power demands respect, this is an Italian machine after all. But every time I ride, it's always smiles. Flat power band means I usually don't have to drop a gear if I don't feel like it, bike stays ready. And so light - you can throw this thing all in a highway lane. At 2650 miles, I've already dealt with both an oil leak and a coolant leak (coolant leak required gaskets to be replaced under warranty). Keep an eye on those fluid levels and you should be fine. Looking forward to many more miles of good times. Edit: Casey's RS looks and sounds incredible. 🤩
I also got the rs660 as my first bike at 25 and I agree, I’ve been riding for 4 months and haven’t even dropped it yet and I’ve only come close to getting into accidents when I get carried away in my ability to take corners. As long as you treat it with respect and stay level headed it’s not a bike that will easily kill you over a slight mistake anymore than a 400 imo. And all the technology it has truly helps when learning and having confidence. The dash is very informative vs the typical dash you see on other bikes in the low to mid range. The bike goes when you want to and it’s steady when you don’t

With the aids, I learned a lot and realized it is forgiving and might have had a different experience on a lesser bike. I could ride this machine all day! Cheers!

Paid £9k new for mine in October and just done the run in service. Now desperately awaiting global warming so I can ride the dam thing, great video from across the pond
I agree with just about everything said about the 660, I was looking for more of a commuter bike and the one big complaint I had about the 660 was on long stretches of highway I felt like I got blown around quite a bit. I ended up going with a Ducati SS 939, little longer wheelbase, a little more power. if you aren't looking for a commuter (I ride 45mins for work) then rs660 is really hard to beat.
I use my RS660 every day 50 minutes each way to work and have done 4 hour highway stretches on it and I never felt like it needed more power or like I was getting blown around, it's so much fun...then again mine is very modded and tuned

I'm also with you on the Acid Green being the BEST colour!! I'd swap the seat out for a red one though, don't know what they were thinking giving it two red wheels and a BLACK SEAT??!!??
i feel like the ZX-4RR can be bested by the cbr650r in every way other than being super "unique" (im biased. i bought a cb650r for the 4cyl sound and good daily-ability)
Im stuck between getting a zx600r and an rs660. The 2024 zx looks great especially with the new tft dash and it has that inline 4, but I feel the aprilia will be more usable. They both come with basically all the same additions and have the same quality for just about the same price. If they ever updated the cbr600rr Id get that bc I think it looks so much more raw, like it wants to rip. The cbr and zx insurance is like 3 times more expensive than the rs though.
Yeah the Aprilia rs660 is a Beautiful, Premium Bike. The rs457 is the intro to the 400 class and is Awesome looking Bike!! Looking into the rs660 as my 2nd bike for sure! The Acid Gold, Extrema, Black and Red are my favorites.
Tuono factory has more aggressive gearing, and it's a noticeable difference. The Rs is better looking. I think the Factory is the best middleweight naked, happy I bought it having a great time.
sorta not sure what the point in these comparisons is when you're comparing modified vs. stock like yeah, the RS660 is flashed, and the ZX-4RR is still running the detuned NA ECU map, and you've done nothing to change the ergonomics of one, while making the other sportier, etc. so conclusion: the bike modified to be more aggressive is more aggressive, shocker

You can’t compare a bike by price first off. These are clearly two different animals. The engine note alone is what draws the buyer to each one of these bikes.
I wouldn't have paid the markup that everyone else did on the zx4rr. I managed to pay $9835 out the door believe it or not. Otherwise I would have just got the 400 twin. I did check out one previous dealer and they wanted over $12,000. The Aprilia would have been an option but there aren't any dealers close
I've been riding a 125cc bike for a year and a half now. Anyone knows if the jump to the RS660 is too much? I'm almost 30 so im not a madman on the street 😅
Sick content! I think i love zx4rr more than rs660 because of that juicy 16k rpm. For another thing I am in a curiosity about your camera. What is it? And in detail what settings do you use?
If you want power obviously ZX4RR isnt the Best choice However one is very unique and the other is another ~600cc twin. I guess it comes to a question if you had 600 already or not - you wont feel like missing out anymore
With respect to your opinion--- One gives you plenty of power to grow into and the other gives you just enough power to grow out of. One gives you the best styling in class (subjective), the other just looks exactly like a zx6 or ninja 400. One gives you cruise control and the best electronics in class, the other gives you decent electronics for the price point. I think 100 hp is the most powerful 600 twin on the market today by quite a margin. And i'd rather have "just another 600 twin" than a 400cc inline 4 that ever so slowly pulls to 70 hp while deafeningly screaming way over 10,000 rpm just because "oh, what a novelty!" It does sound good if that's important to you. But so does a zx6 for hardly more money. If you REALLY want zx6 sound, but you are a bit precautious of 120 hp, then i guess i could see why you would get a zx4. The rs660 certainly SOUNDS like just another 600 twin while the zx4 is the best sounding 400
I had the zx4rr and it was sweet! On the HIGHWAY just awesome screamer... the power was just to little for me and here in Europe its fully unleashed in power.... now i m looking for a zx6 or the rs 660 😂 not figured out yet....
I would love to see this bike with either same (or slightly higher) displacement in a v4. A true Jr. RSV4. Don’t get me wrong these bikes rip, but they are so squeezed out as far as power that there is very little room to bump up. I feel like the RSV4 is just an enormous leap forward. I’ll probably be chastised for such a statement… but it would be cool to see a bike that you could really grow with… but then again… the RSV4 is simply on another level… either way, sick bikes.

yammie aprilia is planning to launch a beginner class motorcycle in india which will be eeriely similar to the rs660. They plan to call it the rs440. It is likely to have an air cooled single-cylender 438cc engine, so make sure to compare that to the zx4rr when it comes out.
I don't know what to get 🥲. I prefer how the aprilia looks but I like the I4 on the kawa, plus the reliability of a Japanese bike. I want the zx4rr engine on a rs 660 body 😂
I was thinking about one of these or a Duke 790. I sat on both, as soon as I sat on the KTM, I decided that was the one and I’ve absolutely been loving it. Haven’t gotten to modifying it yet but I’m hyped
Would love to see a V2 vs RS 660 video, as the V2 looks make me want it baaad. 50 more hp would be nice also, and heard the shifter is sooo smooth. I just rode my frieds 22 gsxr1000 and that shifter was sooo smooth too, wonder if the Ducati could be better?
I got v2. As for power and pulls it clearly beats the rs660. The quick shifter is nice. Could be little better around 1st and 2nd but 3rd and up its amazing.
Hey so I will say that after adding the Flyhammer Racing sprocket cover, which includes a bearing for the shift shaft, to the RS 660 in the video, the shifting both up and down DOES feel better. It's easily one of the most underrated quality of life upgrades on these bikes, imo.
We have aprilia brand here in the philippines. But its way more expensive here. Rs 660 is around 16,200$ dollar. The zx4rr (not detuned) only costs 9100$. massive difference there. This is the reason majority of us buy japanase motorcycle .only few people those fortunate rich ones are the people who can really afford italian bikes.
MHO, between these two bikes for a beginner's bike ill pick the RS660 but the riding position is high on that bike. I'm 5,9 and I tip toe only. if you are looking for a beginner's bike i won't pick the zx4rr its to $. find use or brand-new bikes like the cbr 650, ninja 400, other smaller bike for around 4 to 6k. spending 11k + on a 400rr is not worth the $ IMO epically comparing it to the RS660.

RS660 is goated
i thought its obvious that zx25r and zx4r are bikes for people who dont really go that fast, who dont drive in the highway like SEA
you seem less arrogant than last time I checked. Good job
I own RS660 2023 Racing Black. And this is my favorite colour scheme.
So the zx4rr makes less power, the power it has is less usable, it's not as well equipped, is heavier, and cost the same amount. Cool.
Sherman Tank vs Ford Fiesta - Which Should You Buy?
Shits getting old.
Why would you even compare these two bikes ?? RS 660 with eyes closed of course.
No hate for the rs660 but the front looks so wierd like a grasshopper 😅
Acid yellow is nice…what did you think of the rizoma stealth?
Rs660 is faster, more advanced technology, and smarter electronics.
Wtf who tf compares a RS660 with a ZX4rr are you kidding?
Would the Zx6r be a closer comparison video to the rs660 ?
the prob is the zx4rr has the same transmission problems as the 400
Is this too much for a 2nd motorcycle? I've done 2000 miles on my 300.
RS660 wins in every category but reliability.
Isn’t the mivv exhaust the reason for engine failure?
This inline 4 with yamaha styling like the r6 is gonna be killer but i doubt yamaha gon do that
Ask the owner of the RS660 if he's down to compare it with my 400
Waste of time comparison, the RS660 is leagues better
Thanks Yam for the shout out to the GOAT color scheme the Acid Yellow. Followed a couple steps back by the gray/red scheme.
There is a 35kw version. And i believe it is a good beginner bike with 35 kw
The money payed for those is enough for an mt09 or s triple R even
I was thinking about one of these or a Duke 790. I sat on both, as soon as I sat on the KTM, I decided that was the one and I’ve absolutely been loving it. Haven’t gotten to modifying it yet but I’m hyped
Are the rizoma mirrors any better at handling vibrations than the stockers?
They are, it's a more under-arm view but they don't buzz at all.
@@Casey_Rides excellent. i’m awaiting delivery of my new rs660 and was on the fence about them. if they don’t buzz at all, that’s worth it!! ✅🙏🏼
Bmw s1000rr has the smoothest quickshifter I have ever used
@@crusoeart2951 oh nice!
I got v2. As for power and pulls it clearly beats the rs660. The quick shifter is nice. Could be little better around 1st and 2nd but 3rd and up its amazing.
@@jasoncollier5561 Shifter sounds like its the same as 660 then lol
Hey so I will say that after adding the Flyhammer Racing sprocket cover, which includes a bearing for the shift shaft, to the RS 660 in the video, the shifting both up and down DOES feel better. It's easily one of the most underrated quality of life upgrades on these bikes, imo.
The RS660, like a beautiful italian women, is a fickle individual to have a relationship with.
Rs 440 coming soon
The markups are insane on bikes right now. I refuse to pay it. Both great bikes. You really can’t go wrong with either one.
No contest here! It has to be the Aprilia!!
I have the rs660 with an sc project exhaust recently installed and it sounds DEADLY amazing!!!!! Love my ‘prilia!!!!! ❤
That’s what I was saying why would you get a 400 when you could get a 600 for almost the same price ?
MHO, between these two bikes for a beginner's bike ill pick the RS660 but the riding position is high on that bike. I'm 5,9 and I tip toe only. if you are looking for a beginner's bike i won't pick the zx4rr its to $. find use or brand-new bikes like the cbr 650, ninja 400, other smaller bike for around 4 to 6k. spending 11k + on a 400rr is not worth the $ IMO epically comparing it to the RS660.
10/10
Tune it then compare it FFS...
You dog the ZX-4RR. i dont know why?
I would buy both of them, too go with my bsa Honda BMW yamah kawasaki and off the trail bike 🏍 😅😊 and my push bike LOL😂 sandy mackenzie
ZX4RR is overpriced. The only thing I want in ZX4RR is the reliability. for the price, RS660 all the way!
Lol he said nothing major 😂.
