    This one is being built better than B is for Build. Their arches need a lot to be desired. Makes the car look like a kids drawing.. I am loving the vehcor build more and more. At least this one knows what he is doing. :).

    Great invention on the fork extension, it does the job nicely. Your inventiveness is very useful in all sorts of situations. Before you toss out that old drill that died, check the brushes. It might just need new brushes. I have power tools that I bought over 40 years ago that are still in good working order, but I have replaced the brushes in a couple of them. I try to repair what I can whenever possible, before considering buying new. Besides, the old stuff was built to last, not like some of the junk sold these days. You're certainly putting a lot of thought into doing this build the right way, for the best possible outcome. It's going to be one of the best Mustang retro-mods out there when it's finished. I'm looking forward to seeing more progress. I just wish you had more time to work on this project. Stay safe over there.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  4 года назад +4

      The drill just needs a new trigger, it costs $25. A new drill is $60. I might pick up a trigger just to have a spare because other than the worn out chuck, it has zero other issues. I wish I was retired and could just work on this all the time. Thanks for the support!

    I've told a few others about your channel & that they should watch to get some pointers on spot-welds & panel removal/installation. Hopefully, they will watch a few videos before they butcher up something else! Not so much that they butchered it up but I can see their panels rusting behind their welds in a couple of years.
    You're making great progress there! I was starting to wonder where Mr. Spotty was at but he showed up at the end of the video. Was he on coffee break or just out signing autographs!😁😂😂
    My Mr. Spotty t-shirts (black & dark blue) fit pretty good. I bought a size bigger than I normally wear, thought they were going to be to small after washing & drying but I guess they are preshrunk.😊😊😊

    FYI The control arm is Ductile Iron, not cast iron. Yes it is cast but has a steel like molecular structure ideally suited for suspension components where cast iron does not.

    I really love this build ! I am not a mustang fan. I had a 1971 mach1 fastback.....rust bucket.....ruined me on fords......changed to camaro/Trans Am.....67 yr. old but I f I could I would take on this build! I have shared this build project with VTuned mustang build in the comments section of his channel a few days ago.
    I hope his viewers come and see how your build goes.....I've seen Vtuned and B is for build mustang projects and this channel build is far better than the other two......IMHO
    (If I was younger and had the space, I would do this build except with Fastback 2+2 car)
    Great job

      Classic cars are always fun. They can be a headache sometimes but worth it. I talked with Vtuned back when we started and he wanted to the project similar to me but his donor was too far gone. I like that he took a different approach and it is cool that he is not afraid to learn by doing. He has some amazing talent and that is the reason he is one of the few channels I watch (even before we started building Mustangs). Once he has the years of experience I do, I won’t be able to hold a candle to his work. I saw a couple clips of BIFB’s first car but have only heard about the second. He works a bit faster than the V’s do. 😂

    I'm not afraid of work:
    I can sit and watch it all day
    (Actually I'm in the midden of re-painting my 3-story wood siding house
    that hasn't been painted in 50 years)

    Scott as much as is would have loved to have you rebuild a van for me like I mentioned previously the logistics were just to daunting given I reside in MD and your in Chicago. I bought a sweet van on Tuesday that I'm sure you'd agree with me is a great deal. I've learned a lot from watching your videos so that's why I'm confident you're agree with me. Keep up the great work I am always interested in what you are doing. I can't wait to see how the feankenstang turns out.

    At first I thought Spiderman was working for you with those fancy gloves you had on... this build is getting very interesting.
    When you talked about adding the steel frame member, I thought to myself that thing is going a add lot of strength, and would be a great place to tie in the cross member and roll bar you talked about previously, once it’s all said and done that thing should handle like it’s on rails, with those wide wheels and narrow track....be careful, stay safe, need many more Ford Friday builds..... to help offset the situation going on....🇺🇸

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  4 года назад +1

      Those gloves take a beating for only paying $.40 a pair. 😂 the frame rails might be a little much but I’d rather overbuild it than have issues later. Thanks for the support.

  • @Ray_Sellner
    @Ray_Sellner 4 года назад +2

    I love option 3, even though you would only spin the wheels. Repair would just twist. Tying the frame rails will go a long way to major tire push to the ground.
