- Today we start a new build. One of my favorites to work on and this time in a different color. Honestly, I like the black truck but not the work involved to keep it looking clean. This thing became an aircraft for a few seconds before turning into what we have here. It looks like a fairly easy job but there are always hidden surprises wait in rebuilds.

When other youtubers are fixing their cars with an oak tree and a ratchet strap, you're doing quality work repairing them the right way. I respect that.
I have used my share of oak trees and ratchet straps as well. lol
@@vehcor hmmm, I seem to remember a piece of oak under the suspension and a ratchet strap to remove the lower control arm. Still quality though.
I love the forklift adjustment tool.
Glad you’re back Big Fella, missed you. Friday afternoons aren’t the same without you. Don’t be spending all your hard earned money on razorblades now. Another awesome build underway.
I have spent my razorblade budget for the next decade in this video! lol
@@vehcor That guy from the other shop said that you're suppose to push the airbags back under the headliner with a putty knife. LOL
@@bigbear5510 And that's one of the reasons we watch VEHCOR !!
@@vehcor please post another video next week.
If you’re a man, your comment has some weird vibes going on there.🤨
It's not Friday without a video from Vehcor!
I thought last week seemed a day short…
Thanks!
Looks like Scott’s Terrain Emporium is transitioning into Scott’s Denali HD Emporium!
The Terrain Emporium is still active, the GA Emporium is being shutdown slowly.
@@vehcor Denali are so much better either way...
Who is Scott? I only know Mr. Spotty.

Should have sent you my car to fix
You’re becoming a safety inspiration! Wearing a high vis vest at the beginning, so safe 👍🏻. Remember kids, safety never takes a break!
It's required for me to get my vehicle. It burns my skin. lol
They make you put a vest on
@@ryans413 I know, just like to bug him about safety crap lol
I saw the dealer plate as we bought our 1996 GMC 2500 Suburban XL from James Wood in Denton TX. At the time they were the largest GMC truck dealer in the US. Great place and staff was great as well.
Great to see you are back, I’m sure there’s not just me in U.K that marvels at your skills and dry humour!
Hello Steven
How are you doing
Glad to see you’re back!
Thanks, it has been busy in my boring world! lol
Glad your back sir. Where in Texas did you pick that up at?

@@vehcor a little more south on the fort worth side. You are welcome to come on down to my place. I have a empty cabin most of the time you can stay in
I learn about a bunch more tools that I hadnt know of before when I watch one of your videos, : adjustable hammer, bumper installation tool etc. Its a shame more stores dont stock these ;)
Glad to help. lol
I've been using a few of these tools for years, passed down from my family I think. They work great in other applications also, like fixing plumbing (I was just doing that today), or fixing other items that aren't vehicles.
There are a bunch of 'low damage' vehicles coming through the auction houses as totaled here in Oklahoma over the last three or four months; I call them Pandemic Wrecks. Wrecked during the pandemic and it was easier to write a check than it was to find someplace open that could, or would, take on the repair. Some sweet deals are available, but now it's a matter of finding the replacement parts. lol Gotta love just in time inventory management.
With salvage prices so high, insurance companies are getting what they pay out on a lot of these "shouldn't be totaled" vehicles. It is in their best interest to total everything.
It’s the same everywhere. It’s just easier to total the vehicle and send to auction. The auction prices are high so they make their money back and it’s easier
Not around here in Pa., with used vehicle values at an all time high, they aren't totaling anything here, our body shop is swamped with vehicles either getting repaired, or waiting to get repaired.
Just talked to the guy that lives behind me while picking vegies in the garden. He is a estimator for a big body shop 10 minutes north of Scott (lombard). He said he's totaling cars all day because of no help and no way to get parts.
@@robm3063 We've been pretty fortunate being able to get parts, not saying we haven't had some issues, but for the most part we manage to get'em!
Man it’s awesome when you are a good mechanic and know what you are doing.you definitely make it look easy
You sir are an artist. I live in the south and would love a truck you have repaired.
Great video! Always look forward to Friday afternoons for excellent rebuild content!
Thanks!
I enjoy watching these videos. The way you explain things is great.
I appreciate that!
No wonder I can't seem to find one of these around the midwest to repair. You keep buying them all. ; )
Nope not me, I travel far away to get mine! lol
@@vehcor Out of the rust belt? Got to love rock salt and liquid spray....
@@vehcor Have you considered keeping a nice one only driving it May through October?
A fresh new build!!!
Shout out to the loader operator, so gentle and perfectly aligned on the trailer
Glad your back, hope you were able to have a little down time. I always look forward to the next build.
Thanks for the great content!!!
Happy to see another show on the road!
I can not say how much I love this channel. Watching someone who does there work to like new or better then new condition is so satisfying. another rebuild I can not wait to get done lol. Great job so far and thanks for sharing.
Love to see another GM truck being saved by a man with your talents.
I’m not really a big fan of GM vehicles, but I feel ya. ....and yes, this guy is a one of a kind, Mr. Fix It.
I was wondering where you were the last two weeks, glad to see a video. Just happened that I was using my laptop when it popped up at around 5:00 AM here in Australia. This should be a quick flip with not much damage, other than suspension, airbags and dents. Hope to see you again next week. All the best from Queensland Australia.
I like the easy jobs sometimes but they do cost more to buy! Take care!
Hello Bruce
How are you doing
Welcome back! It's just not a Friday without a boring build!
Thanks for watching. Hopefully back for a while.
Scott-great to see you straightening out that truck and getting it back on the Road. Brave lad for going into Texas for anything! Have more fun at your work!
Thanks for sharing! Rich
This is going to be another great series for sure. Love that closing shot in front of the AMC theater. Those who know..... just know. OOGA BOOGA
Great commentary on explaining what you're doing and how you're doing it. 👍
Good to see you again.
This is entertainment! Love the rebuilds.
What amazes me is the ease of which, you make the needed repairs.
Can't wait to see you working on it
I'm always happy to work on these... minus those headliners of course. lol
Best channel on RUclips for me. Love these HD builds.
Good to see you back keep them videos coming
I hope you have a great weekend @vehcor!
You too!
Glad you´re back!
The humor and the irony are already part of my Friday....
Best car rebuild videos ever, glad you're back.
I bought one of those trucks used and it came with free dirt too. Which saved me the time of properly coating it in dirt. I like the 18” wheels myself.
I love the new element you discovered... Playdonium. EXCELLENT. I love your sense of humor.
Glad you’re back.
Thanks!
Look forward to your Friday video every week. Thank you
Awesome Scott 👍
Good job June
Very cool..and my favorite color!!
Master of the sketch pulls off another one for the books! Excellent work getting that off the trailer.
I think the Sierra from 2008-18 are some of the best looking GMCs in my opinion.
Would like to see how you reset the airbag module yourself, too. Love the videos and you got me back into rebuilding salvage!
He is another superstar in Restoration/Rebuilding of cars, trucks to the applause of the world audience in what he is doing.......Never feel bored in watching his videos in particular the ways he explain his work. Good to see you back Scott missed your videos, you sure must like those denalis.
Good seeing another of your videos.
Nice, love those black Denalis!
Welcome back Scott!!! I hope you don't find an alternative reason for the total. On the bright side, Mr. Spotty is off to be rebuilt along with the seat belts. :D
I sent him for an attitude adjustment! lol
I thought it was just a business trip.
No - I think Mr. S went along as a representative of Scott & Co. to supervise the work.
Im sure that is going to be one sweet ride, once you get finished with it,
I'm sure the pizza girl will let me know since she has already claimed it! lol I hope she has some tip money saved up.

One of the best channels on the internet. Thanks for turning me on the Watch Wes Work. He is fun to watch as well.
Thanks, I watch Wes all the time which says a lot since I rarely watch anything.
These trucks look soo good
Cool hood scoop!
Always enjoy your videos. Their always interesting and entertaining. Thanks!
Great video
When I was 16 (1990) we caught some sweet air in my friends 1970 ish buick lesabre. Old back road on some railroad tracks. The next year they fixed the road and ruined the ramp. I don't think it did any damage.
Thanks for the great memory.
It’s about time!
Love the clicks
Glad to see to you back 2 weeks of watching the other guys builds hahaha
Love your channel greetings from Australia.
Awesome! Thank you!
I like your sense of humor! Cool built too
Welcome Back!!!! I went through withdrawals without a new video!!!!!
Keep coming with the 2500hd videos. Love to see more content and more of them back on the road.
I try to buy every one of these in the auction. The deals are few and far between due to the huge demand for them!
@@vehcor I don't know if it's like this all over the country, but all the truck dealerships here in Texas are almost empty, and decent trucks up to 2 years old are selling at new prices.
12/30/22. Enjoyed this rebuild. You are the “Bob Ross” of car repair.😅
Good luck with your new truck.
Nice truck, nice work.
Alô, from Portugal!!
Thank you very much!
Great videos allways learn something new from them, great job.
Thanks!
Good job

We missed you. Your videos are top notch.
Speaking of trash, amazing going through the salvage yards and you truly see how some people live. Sh** crazy...
Nice work as usual man!
Great narration.
I'm 11 seconds in and recognize it as a Dallas TX car. At least you'll like the way it comes apart.
Interesting to see that you watch him too. I don't even really know why I watch this channel, it's what I do for a living as well.
Lucky for this truck that it didn't end up on the forks of Cowboy car crushing in Dallas
Good to see you here
If it's Texas that explains why somebody was trying to make a jump with it.

Good video. Enjoying the humor! Subscribed
Yeah! My favourite channel is back 🙂
Just here waiting for my next video.. Mr vehcor..
Those Denali seats are so nice, I'd love to swap them into my old truck
I'm pretty sure there is many parts available. Go shop in your local junkyard. I promise you will see couple Denali trucks in most junkyard. Old and newer.
There is many new trucks totaled because of moneypit(2017-2020) and COVID drive everybody crazy.
Cutting out blown airbags is actually fun, its a feeling of satisfaction hard to describe. Also, no you can't rebuild them as you said, and if you could why would you want to, rebuild it wrong and you risk yours or someone else's life, most the time they aren't overly expensive depending on what you are rebuilding
Awesome videos.
Nice truck Scott!
Bro! You are hillarious! Love your videos!
In a word - Mustang.....
Glad you're back. Without a Vehcor video on Fridays I lose total track of time.
Your clarity of explanations is great for those just learning. Your no BS approach makes your information trustworthy. Your humor is what keeps me coming back though. I hope your channels continues to grow. I've shared several of your videos with my little brother. He loves anything auto.
If I may ask what did you pay for this "totaled" truck?
Glad you are back those ratcheting hammers are hard to find!
Cool stuff man 👍
Interesting rebuild
Surprising that none of the front bags deployed! Another nice find.
That because the front end airbag sensors didn't register a strong enough hit, but side airbag sensors have been deployed just by an overly loud exhaust modification.
18:12 lookit you mr spry hopping off the tail gate like that...I remember when I could do that.....way back in my younger days before I worked construction.....last time I did that (jumped) the pain in my knees almost brought tears to my eyes :-(
Trucks are my favorite videos! 👍🏻
My favorite builds! 👍🏻
Still great to watch these GMC pickups.
Dude, all I have to say is you are a freakin magician. I know this truck wasn't close to being totaled, but you just know exactly what to do and say eff it, we are doing it live on the trailer. Every. Single. Time.
keep up good work
Love your videos.. first ones I check for on Friday
You have the best sound of any site i follow. I like your voice wear hearing aids and your work
Luv your work
those Denali's have been my dream truck since they added a Duramax option when the body style changed, I like whit, but man that black!!
Someone has been here before! Love your vids!
Glad you’re back. Kinda surprised the frame isn’t tweaked.
I love the scream on your back off a trailer. 😀
I think Scott needs to sell a horn with that scream in his Amazon store.
Funny you mention the wheel not coming back at you after the impact. I had to repair a '19 Tacoma that took a hit to the right front wheel, apparently Toyota ball joints aren't break away items. The suspension folded back and the wheel made quite the impression on the firewall. Hard enough to break a hole in the hvac box. Yes, that was fun to replace.
It's a good thing I had to replace the apron and rail as well, another great design feature is the one single foot and a half long bolt that holds the upper control arm in place doesn't come out unlesd you lift the cab. It just hits the apron long before the bolt is anywhere near out.
Lucky Toyota boys and girls will be very happy when they have to replace upper control arm bushings!
