Aint noooooo way, an amazing 7 min vid that was less than 10 mins gave me the Macbeth lore and it took my school a year and a half to properly elaborate it 💀
Honestly. If I remember my experience, In a few months all I learned was that lady macbeth is ruthless and evil.
Maybe you weren't paying attention.
@@USERNAMEfieldempty the fact that the school system is able to make an otherwise interesting story so boring to learn about that most students are unable to pay attention is a fault of the school system, not the students.
@@TylerB17 Really? The attitude of the student(s) doesn't impact on the learning outcome? The fact that lessons aren't turbo-intensive 4D playstation stuff, doesn't mean they are boring. Maybe students are spoilt little kids who have attitude problems about work and seriousness?

Exams tomorrow and this is the first time ive even looked at macbeth
aaaaa i’m panicking this is the only revision i’ve done for macbeth!
Bro same, and I have a debate presentation for my English class. My question for my debate is. does macbeth have the ability to change the future? or has the outclme alreqry bee decided by fate and the 3 witches. And my position is negative. Ahhhhh help 😭😭
@@hasinuz8930 if you haven’t already done it then you can argue that the future is only set because of the witches prophecies. Without them Macbeth wouldn’t have killed the king therefore the events of the play would not have taken place. Macbeth does have the power to change the future but will not as he believes he must follow the prophecies.
Good luck

All your videos are so helpful, im a year 11 who really struggles with Macbeth especially and this will really help me to bump my grade up. I study Macbeth a Christmas Carol an inspector calls and love poems cluster and on acc aic and poems I average 18-20/30 whereas Macbeth im getting around 13 marks so I can't thank you enough for helping students with these vids and you explain it so clearly, im so happy I found your account, many thanks xx
Thanks for your support, I'm so glad you find them useful!
I love how creative some of the productions are with how the witches are portrayed. In one version I saw, the 'maid' witch, that is to say the youngest one, was portrayed by a boy. Just a regular young schoolboy type in a Druid-style robe, not a guy doing drag. And in the TV series "Oz," they're portrayed as English judges with white wigs and black robes, while in Patrick Stewart's version they were nurses.

Shakespeare was a bonafide genius. I’m not a native speaker and I have tremendous trouble reading his plays but I’ve seen film adaptations of his works. I can not for the life of me how a singular person can be so gifted!!! Thanks so much for your video. I enjoyed watching it!
Some reports show he likely smoked the devils lettuce whilst writing so honestly, makes a lot of sense.
I'm pretty sure that Scottish kings in the 11th Century weren't black.
Why did u go out of ur way to comment about a fictional characters skin colour. Weirdo
My ten year-old watched this with interest (after I twisted his arm) AND THEN INSISTED ON WATCHING IT ALL THROUGH A SECOND TIME !!! Thank you Ms Easy - in small doses we will be trying some others soon. I so don't want him to be put off the Bard until he's in his thirties. This was really thought about carefully - there's a lot in the plot but this doesn't feel all pressured to squeeze it all in. I congratulate you and thank you heartily.
Hi Paul, thank you so much for the lovely comment and I'm really glad your son enjoyed this video! The main motivation behind my channel is to encourage young people to actually enjoy studying Shakespeare and other classic texts, so this means a lot to me!
Paul, while it's simply amazing that the younger generations are interested in classical texts like Shakespeare, I only have one question to bestow upon you daddy, what the fuck did you do with your kid's arm?! I hope he's OK you're obviously a violent man, so please don't hurt me as well lol. ;)

This is great! I’m lucky enough to have managed to buy a ticket for The Tragedy of Macbeth next week in the film festival and I can’t say I ever knew much about the story. I’m going to read the play now but this was great. Can’t wait for the film
Please leave a reply on what you thought about the movie here after you watch it, please?
@@DarkSideOfTheBrightSide it was amazing. The witch/es will blow your mind.. The score, imagery, cast are all outstanding. Each frame is like a work of art. I really loved it, even though I don’t consider myself intelligent enough to have understood every line in it as it was word for work Shakespeare and I still haven’t read the play and sat down and properly analysed it. I’d like to read the play and/or watch it again at home with subtitles just to make sure I understand everything. The dialogue is just beautiful but not ashamed to admit I need some time to figure out all the nuances in it haha. Anyways, the hype is real, hope you enjoy it when it’s released :)

I have to say this reminds me of the story of Croesus, king of Lydia. When he consulted the oracle in Delphi they said that "a great empire will fall if you attack Persia". He concluded that this meant the persian empire would fall, but in fact, Lydia was conquered by the persian. It's the same situation as it is a matter of interpretation.
ruclips.net/video/hbxt5f5y26I/видео.html
The Oracle made a prediction that would be right either way.

Donalbain actually didn't join Malcolm.
Malcolm fled to England whereas Donalbain fled to Ireland, so they weren't in the same country. Macduff only teams up with Malcolm.
Hi Carl, you're right, that's a great catch! Some of the finer details were intentionally glossed over in this summary in order to fit the time frame, but that is a part of the story I should have clarified! Thanks!
Also, didn’t Malcolm flee to England when he was just a young kid, and not an adult as it was portrayed? Not only that but I’m sure Macbeth didn’t die at Dunsinane, he was defeated but fled, Malcolm didn’t get another chance to defeat Macbeth till years after.
Great summary! The Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow soliloquy in act 5 is powerful.
Thank you, Easy 'as, A truly wonderful episode. This was Shakespeare's homage to King James (the Bible Guy), to give him a British heritage (through Banquo and Fleance), when in fact James was Celtic. The historical Macbeth killed Lady Macbeth's husband when she was 14 years old and with a one year old child ("I have given suck") after her husband killed Macbeth's father. Lady M. and her child became Macbeth's 'property'. Macbeth had a 17 year reign. He was considered a pious, benevolent Scottish King who became King of England with the Unification of England and Scotland. Gruoch's son, Luloch, was crowned after Macbeth's death. He was assasinated a few months later. One of the ironies of the play is that Lady M feared Macbeth would go mad. He did not; she did.
Good luck lit 23🙌🙌🙌🙌
These videos are amazing and so helpful thank you so much!
In act1 scene1 Banquo was not interested in the witches only Macbeth is. Banquo advices Macbeth to stay away from them
Hi David, thanks for the comment! You're absolutely right that Banquo has a healthy distrust of the witches in Act 1, but I would argue that he does have an interest in what they say since he asks them to address him directly and tell him what the future holds. Additionally, in Act 2, Scene 1 he admits that the witches have been in his dreams and have even sparked 'cursed thoughts' in his mind, which shows that their words must have affected him more than he outwardly portrays. Of course, this video is just a very brief summary of Macbeth so only the main points are covered, but if you are interested, check out the link below for a more detailed analysis of Banquo!

This story means two different things depending on if your an English major or a theatre major
@Kombat Mortal the English major would be more safe
@Kombat Mortal I’m just going to tell you what it means in theatre
Basically. The play is considered to be cursed. To the point where the mere mention of its name causes panic in everyone
