Yep ambition blocked his good sense. A great point by Shakespeare. He totally shook off the first warning of his killer macduff. They told him beware of macduff but since he believes no man can hurt him he thinks he's invincible. And that how it usually goes with folly we ignore the most blatant warming signs. My literature teacher told my class that these witches did not have the power of foreseeing the future, they just chose the settings in which they were presented to macbeth (rainstorm, dark forest) and happened to know about the c section etc. and macbeth was gullible enough to believe them which brought the tremendous acts
