Wait… why did it take 17 years to find that info 🤦‍♂️

      Because a cop did it.

According to another channel I saw this case on the investigation was poorly handled from the beginning.

Because cops very rarely actually solve crimes. There's no detective work like you see on TV/movies, most crimes are solved when the criminal brags to random strangers about it.

Why did the parents find the bodies and allowed at the crime scene?

This was the worst crime scene investigation I've ever heard of - at least in the last 40 years. There were multiple WTH moments like this all the way through.

The firefighters missed a body that was up above. He was pretty sure it was a body so he called the investigators to tell them to come back to the scene. The thing is; investigators opened up that site very quickly to the publuc. The media came in and took some photos and the Bibles came to do a more thorough search because because they didn't feel that investigators spent enough time (obviously not) to get a full assessment of clues, etc... It's all very sad. I highly doubt it was a drug deal gone wrong. That would be weird.

@nephthysbastet4809 agree on horrible police work. The drugs angle is probably true. Oklahoma is pretty trashy, so that was my first guess. (I live in Oklahoma)

This smacks of a police cover up here, poor crime scene investigation, buried documents that took 17 years to be discovered? I find it very hard to believe crime scene and fire department investigators missed a dead body that was found by a family member of one of the missing girls days later. There’s more to this than a drug deal gone bad, my theory is that the local police got those three criminals to carry out the murders to quieten the family over their sons killing, then covered it up with a badly run investigation and subsequent dead ends.

The found the car insurance card IN THE DRIVEWAY and never followed up. The local cops are complete morons. They could have saved those girls.
