When I was a kid in the early eighties my sister and I were on a Glenelg tram and we were approached by an elderly man. I can’t remember what he said to us but I was scared and started to cry. I looked at my older sister who was also primary school age and saw the horror on her face. Luckily for us an elderly lady had been watching and said “you girls come over here and sit by me”. I see pics of Arthur Stanley Brown now and they creep me out. My sister also. Makes me wonder!!!

Agreed; I really doubt an unknown person to any of them, especially the oldest Could have been a guy on the train (?bus) , at the beach, or a shop-owner. It would be very difficult to keep track of three young kids. Maybe the oldest was the indended victim, yet the other two were potential witnesses/accusors so they had to also. I think this predator spend some time grooming these kids. I don't think these kids would have gone with him after just having met him. No he played with and talked to them before. So he probably said he would walk with them to the bus stop. He stalled a bit to make sure they missed the bus. Than he said , look I have a car. I can bring you home. They agreed and once in his car they were trapped. I don't want to think about what he did to them after he had them. But once he had his way with them, he killed them and made them disappear.

Pretty obvious the young man seen with them that day is the culprit. He never came forward to say he was with them or even showed up to deny he had anything to do with their abduction. There is only one reason for him to remain anonymous. The probable scenario was that he had indeed been grooming the oldest girl over a period of weeks before he thought she would be willing to participate in what he had in mind. On that day he tried it on with her away from the two other siblings but she was horrified having no suspicions that he was what he was. The die was cast, he knew if he let her go she would tell her parents, and his life would be ruined and spend time in goal, so as with any of these degenerates he took the coward's way out by murdering all three. Only he knows where he dumped the bodies but he must have known the area very well and any coastal areas are easy to hide bodies due to the size of the area and tides. If it ever gets solved one day you can bet he had a previous record for paedophilia and was known to the police.

  • @ingvarhallstrom2306

I suspect they were abducted by an unknown man, that wasn't really unknown to them but had groomed them for some time so they would follow him without question or suspicion.
The oldest girl seems to have a certain "glow" about her, like she had a crush and was secretely in love with somebody. Now, this is an extremely controversial subject, since it concerns a girl of such a young age. Even if it wasn't sexual feelings on her part, she could still have been deeply in love, as in the puppy love children can display at that age.
If the perpetrator was a young man but an adult nonetheless, she may have wanted to keep her feelings secret. And if so, he may have groomed her over time so that she would trust him, like giving her presents or money. Like the money they used to pay for those snacks. Perhaps he had met them on previous occassions on the beach and bought them ice cream? If so, they wouldn't have objected leaving the beach with him, if he had suggested it.

All other reports state that the children took a bus to the beach the day they disappeared, not that their father drove them there as stated here.
I'd like to know when was the last time and where neighbours, friends actually saw the three children, not just people who didn't know them but thought they saw them.
The local mail man knew them and he said he saw them on their way back home in the afternoon, but then was persuaded he must be mistaken.
Sadly , experience has taught us that most children are murdered by family members rather than strangers. In the 60s this would be unthinkable.

The Snowtown stuff happened in Snowtown because there was an old bank building that was cheap to rent...so one of the people doing the murders rented it to put some already full barrels in. Then the group did a few more murders there because the bank building had some thick walls to dampen sound. The actual perpetrators and their victims lived a long way away.
Back when the Beaumont's went missing, the banks hadn't started shutting down branches in country towns and the bank building was still an active bank. And the area far away that produced most of the victims and perpetrators hadn't become so full of unemployed and mentally ill people.
