Hello cousins across the pond! I just subscribed to your channel. Thank Rose Anvil, I just the saw "coat" shoes you made for him. Cool! Cheers from Milwaukee Wisconsin 🇺🇲🧀🍻.
Original basketballs were lace-up leather and there's a company that reproduces them called Leather Head Sports. I thought this was a great idea for a shoe. Maybe you could use a vintage lace up ball with the newer orange ball for accent?
Many years ago I purchased a box of orange pebble-embossed scraps from Siegel Leather. It was pretty cool! As I recall, they were supposedly from American footballs, but definitely looked like a basketball. I made a belt bag from the stiff material, getting unwarranted flack from a guy in a bar for being “too sideways” for the venue. Jealous much?? I still have both the bag and the material somewhere. So in theory I could see a wonderful pair of “too sideways” bespoke shoes!
Hey,I was looking through RUclips and saw Goral footwear.I am Goral (the ethnic group). At first I just laughed but now I'm unironically starting to enjoy your channel
Shoes made out of old leather American footballs, or even cut up baseball gloves would be awesome. Hell, make a pair of your low-top sneakers out of weathered baseball gloves in size US 12, and I'll buy them if they are successful.
Baseballs would be really cool, white leather with the red stitching. I know it's not big in the UK but it is in the US. I wonder how many baseballs it would take?
Horween Tannery out of Chicago USA makes the leather for Basketballs and American Football, and you could probably source the correct texture and color to make a production run from that leather.
Maybe you should try making a shoe out of American footballs. The real ones are made of leather so it should work fine. Regular footballs (soccer balls) would be interesting to try out as well but I am less optimistic about them.
Not a shoe. Baseball glove has been done. Maybe football jersey? But that's just a synthetic cloth. Not much else in sport to do that comes to mind. Sail material?
The official basketballs of the NBA are genuine leather, made by Wilson 👍
Imagine NBA ball upper with soles made out of rubber balls
I believe horween makes the leather for the nba and nfl

Brings a whole new meaning to basketball shoe

Great video! God bless you and yours! Praying for you!
Can we see a tour of work shop? What machinery does and what there called.
I think it would require heating once it’s on the last to change the shape.

Guys you have to try this with a proper leather basketball. Rubber basketballs like that one are for playing outdoors.
"if we could find some vintage, damaged, unusable old balls.."
Hey, those are mine! Not letting you shoe them tho.

Love the video series! Great job everyone! What about artificial turf or maybe a softball? Ok all, take care!
I believe there are some leather basketballs,
Would great with leather American footballs
I was really hoping that the rubber made a redemption and worked, because it would look pretty cool as a shoe. Oh well you don't always get them.

I'd love to see this one made with leather. The color combination was starting to look good.
Baseball mitt?
Dude, of you could get a leather version of that....🤔
What about baseball leather?
Id like to see shoes made from tires or tire parts
Good try with the shoes. The old balls I do believe where made from leather. Horween sells basketball leather.
Can you get an F1 fire suit? Those would make great shoes, I think.
I wanted them to happen fwiw 🤷🏻♀️
Did not know Slazenger made basketballs🤔
Wow I thought it was gonna be possible, a vintage ball is a great idea though!
A quality football is made of leather, that might work.
Make one from a composite or real leather ball.
Ha, ha, ha, rubber needs heat to change a shape. Maybe you need to develop a hot last, ha, ha.
So the rubber basket ball didnt work try thr leather basketball id like to see it
the first nope of will it shoe, eh?

James Naismith was Canadian! ruclips.net/video/xiJJIacdF-E/видео.html good old "history moment" we 90s kids grew up with
Oh no……the rubber broke again 😬
Can you guys try chainmail? I think it can look amazing!
Medicine balls
Why didn't you guys use official NBA balls that are made out of leather? They would have made cool shoes. Official NFL footballs are also leather.
The not a basketball. That’s fake street ball
Good basketballs are made of leather with a rubber bladder. Rubber basketballs are for playgrounds and children.
