- In this video, I will show you how to fix p0101 mass air flow sensor circuit.
We're working on a 2011 Nissan Altima and in this video, I just wanted to go over a few things we found. First, we tried cleaning the mass air flow sensor which in a lot of cases can help and is always a good thing to try before replacing the mass air flow sensor. If you need to know how to clean the mass air flow sensor they do sell mass air flow sensor cleaner here amzn.to/3yef3wP . Sometimes just this alone will fix a p0101
On this vehicle, we actually had to replace the mass air flow sensor and also there's a service bulletin that states a computer should be updated with new software to prevent this problem from happening. We deliver all this information in this video about Nissan's mass air flow problems.

Can you put a link in the description for the relearn on this car ?
$200.00 😂😂😂you made me cry. Poor costumers 🤦♂️
How do you reprogram ?
So only the dealer can reset it? I'm falling into this very scenario. I bought a mass flow sensor couple months ago. The check engine light went away. It came back on about a month and a half later. I just replaced it and it will not go away
Thanks bruh
My nissan altima 2013
Engine light with P0101 code
I replaced MAF sensor, Air filter, PCV value
Also I check throttle body MAF circuits check but still issue not resolved, what I will do?
How much I want spent more to resolve this warning?
how did you discover that his MAF was faulty???? How do you test them?
thanks for you
Your very welcome
Usually it will take over 20 miles of driving for it clear the old codes
Why didn’t you do the reprogram with the old maf sensor? Instead of charging him 200 + bucks for the new one? Maybe that would’ve fixed the problem
Bc he wants monies
He all about money he was not thinking to save that person money
Maybe…
listening is a skill of its own
Is Delphi the best brand for MAF sensors? I have a Nissan Altima 14 and the last 3 years i've replaced it from a Nissan dealer that keeps failing. Going to do it myself this time around just want to know the best quality brands...thanks
Hitachi makes a good one
I've tried them all
@Smart_Investing any update were you able to fix the problem?
@@BackStreetPictures1 yes it worked. First I used MAF sensor cleaner I bought from Walmart to clean surrounding areas before inserting, put on gloves and carefully replaced it. I used the OEM part which is Hitachi brand. Right after I replaced it, I had no choice but to go to Nissan again because they had to update my ECM. In order to update my ECM, a mechanic or whomever, connects their computer to your car, similar to running a diagnostic HAS TO HAVE a Nissan subscription to the latest version to update your car.
I tried my mechanic and he told me I'm better off paying the one time fee for the update inside of trying to pay a Nissan subscription. I paid like 30 or 40 bucks for the update and then about 110 for the sensor. Haven't had any more problems!
Check your pcv valve. It's it orange, replace it. Theyre faulty.
Please link the re-learn video you described
I've replaced MAF because of drivability and now having serious problems.
Any resolve i can do at home?
There is a tsp for this code as well , that will require the dealership to reflash the engine computer. I have seen this code fix the check engine light. But if you have driveability problems, hence "running poorly" there is something else going on. I've seen a lot of cracked intake boots l.
How do we clean it exactly?
Confirm please this is a reprogram of the ECM not the PCM!?
Ecm is same thing as pcm
Can you please send me the link how to program it?
How much does it cost to reprogram it?
Mine was 180.00 not dealership probably paid too much but I was frustrated
I replaced my sensor twice brand new those that mean I need to get one directly from Nissan?
It's the pcv valve
This sucks another reason for them to get customers on the dealership I should be able to reprogram without going to Nissan
Take your battery cables off and let them touch for about 15 minutes then put them back on the post. That’s how you reprogram your car for free.
@@BlackWhite-ru8gm wym let them touch
i just replaced my sensor and i still get a code by reprogramming it removing the battery will it help
My nation Ultima kilometre is North Goa
Did it fix the problem after ECM reprogramming?
Mechanic here. Exact Intermittant problem on mine. Over the course a year. Cleaned original replaced with aftermarket did the tsb. Would clear and go away for a couple of months then come back. Looking into smoke testing the intake for leaking gaskets next. My last resort. Never can catch the glitch. Very intermittent.
@@gettyfernandez5428hi, did your find a solution? I’m going trough the same sh$t
@@yack7661 yes it was the valve cover. The pcv getting the maf sensor dirty. The PCM update didn't fix it clean and replace maf didn't fix it but my valve cover gasket was leaking oil into the plug wells. Can't get a gasket. Had to buy the whole valve cover. But previously replace just the pcv valve and send to work.
@@gettyfernandez5428 thanks!!
Why reprogramming pcm after replacing maf sensor?
There was a tsb
To actually fix it and justify the 200 dollar parts soak
This guys a joke, you didn’t even show how to fix it you just said you charged the guy $200 for a sensor that can be fixed with a $25… if the other one he bought was $25 then buy another $25 one and call it a night. What a scam.
Nissans suck now
you only have to reprogram for the years before 2013 anything after that the computer is able to relearn itself
@shnitzel2050 how do you reprogram it?
@@shnitzel2050so for a 2013 you do not need to reprogram?
@@user60608 no you do not.
